1: What is your current favorite film?

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas!! I love the book, and I find Terry Gilliam's imagination of it absolutely perfect. I can watch it any number of times and not get tired of it.

13: What is your comfort film?

Stardust! It's the absolute definition of comfort movie for me and I love everything about it. I've loved it since I was a kid.

18: What film do you think has the coolest poster?

I watched House for the poster. I just really really love the poster of House.

I just want to say that I know very little about Morgan’s Boy, but your love for it has got me curious (quite apart from Gareth Thomas being in it, of course). I respect your love for it very much. I’m adding it to my ever growing list of obscure TV series I need to watch.

MB really caught my attention during the lockdowns when I couldn't go home and the entire story and setting were so familiar, some lines even verbatim from my childhood. Since visiting the area irl, it's been wonderful to see how much that production drew upon real life, real local history, and used locals for the majority of the filming. In a sense, almost everything you see in that show is or was real, and people still remember it.

I don't know all that much about productions, though I'm learning, but I get the sense that MB made a real and meaningful impact (good and no so good) on a lot of lives in a small community, so watching the show doesn't feel "hollow", like it's just a set; the roots of every detail run true and very deep.

20. a piece from this year that you’re really proud of

ummm ill add a few bc this has been a really bad art year and i need to cheer myself up about it somehow 😭

this one was a birthday gift for my boy best friend based on the flower boy album cover... mostly i just like this one bc i took a long ass time on it. i started it over a month before his bday just cus i was really excited and that meant i had a lot of time to make it look as nice as possible :-3 im also just proud of 1) the crows and 2) managing to make a nice color palette for it since it obviously doesnt use the same palette as the original cover

this one i never posted just cus im a #1 genshin hater and didnt want people following me for it BUT someone in my colleges art club asked people to draw itto and. well i really wanted to bearify him. anyway i just like the colors i used here and drawing it didnt make me want to disintegrate which is nice

this one was also actually fun to draw and i like the shapes i used... thats basically it... daemiel my beloveds

Colors and Shapes. my artstyle is basically just me going ham with those so yeah i sure hope people notice them. but also id like to know things that people notice Outside of that bc its all that people ever say when i ask about my artstyle, which ofc makes sense but I WANNA KNOW MOAR

Hey there! I know you don’t get much time to look at asks, so really don’t worry about this, but I just wanted to share this with you. I know you like Only Fools And Horses, and I’ve been thinking about Trigger all day, today. I developed this headcanon that Trigger used to get migraines as a kid/teenager, and Del and Denzil were the only ones who didn’t make fun of him when he shut down, or cried over the pain. Del would even look after him, sometimes, staying with him in the nurse’s office, or letting him nap at his flat when Trig couldn’t make it home. This is one of the reasons Trigger is quite close with Del.

Seriously though, everyone should watch OFAH. I mean it. Hilarious, very rewatchable show that can make you laugh and cry. David Jason and Nicholas Lyndhurst are national treasures. I got to see the musical in the summer of 2019, wearing a bright yellow shirt with the Trotters Independent Traders logo on it, and - to my utter delight - because I was sitting in the second row, the guy playing Del Boy (Tom Bennett - who also popped up in Red Dwarf a couple of years ago) spotted me. There was a bit during the opening number where Del addresses the audience, trying to sell us hooky gear. I can't remember the exact wording, but there was a bit where he was trying to flog some "leaning Eiffel Tower" miniatures. Rodney pointed out to him that the Eiffel Tower isn't leaning, to which he just smiled knowingly and said something along the lines of, "We know that-" pointing between himself and me "-but what can't speak can't lie." I really can't remember the actual wording, just the sentiment, but it was just great! I got to be in on a Del Boy scheme! 😂 But enough about me...

This headcanon is very sweet. Del has a heart of gold and has spent most of his life trying to look after people, so this totally fits with his character in my opinion. Denzil is also a friendly guy, and I can definitely see them being kind to Trigger when this happened, telling Boycie to shut his trap (gotta love Boycie, the git). I can actually already half see this scenario in my head. Have you seen Rock & Chips? If not, that was a mini prequel series for OFAH set in the '60s, about Del and Rodney's mum Joan. It's got Nicholas Lyndhurst in it as Freddie The Frog, while a young Del Boy is played by James Buckley. It features Del and all his mates in their teenage years. Unfortunately, John Sullivan died just before the third one aired. The story felt unfinished to me. We will never know what Joan Trotter truly said on her death bed!
