65. Day of the Iguana

This was a heck of an episode to return to after the hiatus, lol. It felt a little like they were warming up before plowing through the last third of the planned episodes.

The most enjoyable part of this episode for me was Wesley Mann's performance as Floyd. Everything else was just so-so. Nothing really remarkable.

This picture came to mind when Flyod was telling Cat how "Chuck likes everybody". I dunno, the image came to mind and it was the best idea I came up with. ^^;

Susannah Wesley, mère de John Wesley, passait une heure par jour à prier pour ses 17 enfants. En plus de cela, elle prenait chacun de ses enfants à part pendant une heure chaque semaine pour discuter avec lui des questions spirituelles. Ce n'est pas étonnant que deux de ses fils, Charles et John aient été utilisés par Dieu pour bénir toute l'Angleterre et l'Amérique. John Wesley était un prédicateur de la sainteté et le fondateur de l'église Méthodiste. Quant à Charles Wesley, un auteur prolifique et homme de clergé, il écrivit environ 6500 hymnes.

Dans notre texte, le Seigneur dirigea Aaron, le souverain sacrificateur et ses fils à bénir Israël. Parmi les directives, ils devraient prier pour qu'Israël soit gardé, qu'il connaisse la paix, l'approbation et la faveur de Dieu. Toutes les bénédictions devraient être prononcées sur Israël au nom du Dieu Tout-Puissant.

Dieu savait évidemment combien nos paroles peuvent être puissantes. Les bénédictions ou les malédictions, surtout celles prononcées par des personnes ayant une autorité parentale ou spirituelle sur nous peuvent influencer le progrès dans notre vie. Les enfants ont besoin de la bénédiction de leurs parents pour réussir dans la vie. Jacob, Joseph, David et plusieurs autres dans la Bible ont été bénis par leurs parents et ont connu la réussite dans leur vie. D'autres en revanche, comme Caïn, Ruben et Siméon ont reçu la malédiction qui a eu des effets négatifs sur leur vie.

Ce serait vraiment profitable si les parents se résignaient à maudire leurs enfants, parce que les paroles prononcées ne peuvent plus être retirées. Les paroles que nous prononçons sont hors de notre contrôle. Il n'est pas surprenant que les écritures nous exhortent à bénir et ne pas maudire. Pour finir, les prédicateurs doivent avoir l'habitude de bénir le peuple de Dieu du haut de leur pupitre, comme le Seigneur les dirigera.

Correction of the colors on printing is therefore desirable, and this is usually done by masking, as described in prior patents, such as Evans Patent 2,203,653, granted June 4, 1940, and my prior Patent 2,294,981, granted September 8, 1942.

Patent 2,203,653, referred to above describes a method for making an integral mask in a multi-layer reversal material, but the mask is black or gray in color and does not secure the advantages of colored masks such as described in Evans U. 8. application Serial No. 413,442, filed October 3, 1941, now U. S. Patent 2,376,132, granted May 15, 1945.

coupler is colored so that it absorbs light prior to coupling but upon coupling is converted to a form which absorbs the color desired for the final dye image. The color of the original coupler is chosen so that it absorbs light of the same color as the undesired absorption of the dye formed from it. In this way, the colored coupler can correct for the improper absorption of the coupled dyes and thus effect complete masking. Depending upon the correction desired, the cyan coupler should be red, orange or yellow, the magenta coupler yellow or green and the yellow coupler magenta or blue.
