EUSR: Little progress achieved in normalising Serbia-Kosovo relations
EU Special Representative for the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue and other Western Balkan regional issues, Miroslav Lajčák, stated on Tuesday that little progress had been achieved in the normalisation of relations between Serbia and Kosovo.
“Thanks to the dialogue, we delivered important results before the end of last year – the agreement on energy, the recognition of RKS [Republic of Kosovo license] plates, the end of the sticker regime [for license plates]. This is concrete and visible proof. But there has been little progress in the big picture on the normalisation of relations.”
Lajčák announced the normalisation after meeting with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti in the capital Pristina. The Special Representative held a separate meeting with Kosovo’s President Vjosa Osmani.

etz hayyim (“tree of life”) synagogue in chania, crete, greece. the building dates to the 14th-15th centuries, and was originally a venetian catholic church. it was acquired by chania's jewish community and converted into a synagogue in the late 17th century. chania's jews were deported due to the holocaust in 1944, after which the building remained abandoned until restoration in the 1990s.
romaniote jews are the oldest jewish community in europe and one of the oldest in the world, thought to have lived in and around present day greece since before 70 ce. they have their own liturgy that is unrelated to the more commonly used european ones (ashkenazic and sephardic).

looking back its sad to me that i took AP european history and learned So Much and we learned so much info in so much depth throughout such a lengh of time...... and in that thick ass college level book,,,, we literally learned absolutely nothing about the balkans. like nothing dude NotHING NOTHING. i looked in the glossory and romania was mentioned like 2 times max and not even anything more in depth than like a throwaway sentence ?? bro i dont even think they mentioned the yugoslav war like deadass i think the most the balkans came up was involvement in ww1
like thats so wack wtf. i know we joke and say haha were not in europe and as far as im concerned id rather we not b, back to the near east baby, but its ridiculous actually that the balkans are technically largely considered europe in formal terms and yet this entire massive book had like nothing on it. like!!! shit was happening!! important shit was happening all those centuries!!!!!! but dude nothing. we learned centuries on end of history and basically next to NOTHING everything i know about the balkans i know bc i learned it on my own. ??

“The recent anti-Albanian campaign in the UK has pushed Albanian politicians and intellectuals to take a stand in defence of their fellow nationals. The fact that some Albanians can address the problem in international media shows that part of Albanian society is more empowered than in the past. On the other hand, the recent attacks on Albanians, hint at enduring forms of marginalization that have never been seriously addressed. “

IVANAH. You were missing from my life sooo bad i still dont know what the fark happened and why i unfollowed you but as soon as we found eachother my life has been going uphill ☝️ youre SO witty and SO funny and you dont even know how much you rewire my brain with your humour like you OWN the words bozo and batista bomb etc ur sooooo iconic you have no idea.... Now wait you've never gotten an ask from me so ill give you multiple sensations: you remind me of when you put your hand over the sun and it shines through your fingers and theres this red border around them and you remind me of cherries so ripe they fall to the floor and color the pavement and of the smell of wooden furniture
