somehow someway, Rhaenyra becomes queen, alicent is her (somewhat willing, really complex feelings, it's a mess) queen consort.

they're in some sort of situation where Rhaenyra is making advances onto Alicent, who is kinda quietly refusing, but otherwise letting it happen, because she's been forced to do that for YEARS, submitting to people of power, specifically Viserys, who's antes to use her and/or her body for their own pleasure.

it is only when Rhaenyra goes to face her directly or asks her a question along the lines of "do you like this" when she realizes she's practically been assaulting the woman.

when she asks why Alicent hadn't stopped her she just blows a fucking fuse.

"I did. I tried to, but you didn't stop."

"why fight you. all these years and you forget what happens when I fight you. the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT???? can i say something. for years i thought the joke of the song short skirt/long jacket by cake was that he wanted a woman who was hung like a horse. like i thought when he says jacket it was a last-second fakeout because he very obviously meant to say cock. and the rest of the things in the song were just her personality and interests. which were secondary to her awesome penis

Keeper -- a short comic about an angel meeting a robotic lighthouse keeper that doesn't know the world has already ended. Made in about 18 hours for a 24-hour 24-page* black and white comic challenge (that I arrived late to, ha.)

*the actual submission does not include the cover, which was created after the fact for this post.

This was a really great learning experience as someone who's... never really made a completed comic. I ended up really attached to the story by the end of the project (possibly due to all-nighter deliriousness lol) and ultimately am very proud of what I made.There are some things I'd still like to change, particularly text placement, but in keeping with the spirit of the challenge I've elected to leave it as is.
