03: Sneak (you know I absolutely couldn’t not use Gilan for this)
Gilan pulls his cowl up further, making his face disappear more into the shadow. He’s crouching by a thick tree trunk, watching a scene unfold in front of him.
The sun is going down, making the lightning uncertain, so he knows he’s got nature on his side. He’s be lying if he said that he didn’t time this on purpose.
He watches silently as Halt, Will and Horace sit around, presumably, a map. Gilan knows that it’s likely for their current mission.
He rises and slowly moves towards the group, taking care of where he steps. He stops directly behind Halt, and grins when Will looks up and meets his eyes.
Gilan rests his hands on either of Halt’s shoulders and is immediately grabbed by the wrist and thrown onto the ground.
He lands with a thump and groans. The other three stare down at him, Horace and Will clearly trying to hold back laughter.
“You little sneak.” Halt hisses when he realises that it’s just Gilan and not someone trying to kidnap him.
“You’re stronger than you look, old man.” Gilan wheezes.
was recently having talks about saving up for a several-week vacation with my partner and he said something that i seriously cannot stop thinking about and i need to Ask The Audience
this is not cumulative, you must have spent over 14 calendar days outside of your hometown in one stretch to be able to hit Yes
i’ve never asked for this before but if you could rb for reach that’d be cool, this is a straight up potential worldview-shattering revelation right here and i need data if im gonna shatter my dang worldview
The manga industry, especially JUMP, needs to hurry up and do away with weekly scheduling for mangaka. There needs to better regulations put into place for their health and safety because this is pitiful. Two weeks - monthly updates should’ve already been the standard for the manga industry at this point. These money grabbers will only continue to put the lives of these artists at stake for the sake of capitalism unless some serious changes are implemented.
doylist explanation for why Gidel is only in Fellow's non-idle lesson animations: probably something about space constraints and making sure two sprites in one seat aren't covering anyone else when they're not in focus
watsonian explanation for why Gidel is only in Fellow's non-idle lesson animations: he snuck in and is hiding from the teachers, don't give him away 🤫
(I've reached my limit of unsuccessful attempts at pulling them before I need to save keys for Halloween, so I've been living vicariously through youtube videos...but the fact that Gidel just pops up from under the desk to wave his arms around happily is really testing my resolve. D: I'm gonna die when they finally get to do alchemy...)
rewatching Avatar is so weird because Sokka is literally the only thing keeping them alive and fed. He constantly is like,
'guys we're out of supplies/ we need to stop/ we're attracting too much attention with the flying bison we should walk' etc.
Like in the ´The Storm' when they're completely out of money and supplies the one to get a job in hopes of making money (he never actually gets paid, the world hates him) is Sokka.
In 'The Waterbending Scroll,' it's Sokka who's concerned about their lack of supplies when Aang sends them in a wave down the river, and is making sure they're careful with their spendibg when in town shopping.
He's also seen to catch fish and gather nuts (I know more often than not he fails to catch things on screen but it's implied he's the one that does most of the hunting and gathering)
It's like- Aang totally would have starved to death or gotten completely off track with often they're completely out of food and money
