Seeing wc stuff on other platforms is so weird because i’m so used to the opinions on here.

Like i just saw a slideshoe on tiktok of somebody explaining their least favourite maps and why, and then they said that Hawkash was a disgusting ship, and also that Nightcloud was super manipulative but not crowfeather Apparentally? Like i wanna see wc fans from other platforms look into the tumblr wc fandom.

this is kinda old news but something i noticed when ppl try to criticize cheeteh z/the maps he hosts is they are 99% just outsiders and don't actually know what happens behind the scenes. as someone who has been in a few of those maps and is in the server to this day i promise you we are not crunching as badly as you say we are. him and his cohosts are very accommodating and its often why people tend to collab so much in those maps to divide the work/finish up where someone couldn't.

the initial deadlines listed in the final maps were misleading, yes, and the server has discussed it and decided to remove the original deadlines from the completed titles to avoid confusion and concern about us. i can only truly speak from my personal experience in that group but a lot of us feel comfortable asking for extensions. please stop making assumptions that we're being pushed so hard to our limits when you're an outsider because that is NOWHERE NEAR what happens in there.

also "nobody is getting paid to do this". correct! but you need to understand that people can just... do things. for fun. for community. for free. this is not an industry. this is not fucking disney or dreamworks or some other studio, this is just people with time and passion. this is not a fucking animation sweatshop. you can literally just do things for the fun of it, not everything has to be repaid with money to be worth it. I've been in plenty of groups where it's mostly teens-early 20s just doing ambitious projects for fun!!! teams that do shit so a userbase can have fun!!! its a SHARED HOBBY. THIS IS NOT A FULL TIME JOB!!!!!!!!!! i UNDERSTAND the concern but this is not what you think it is because you're not actually inside the group!! EVERY map is just a group of people with time on their hands and passion!!! its just a fucking wide-scale group project holy shit!!!

edit: while i did get a bit heated pls just remember this is based primarily on MY PERSONAL thoughts/experiences in the server, as well as what ive SEEN others say in there about some things that were brought up here. i cant speak for everyone so just keep that in mind

directed at the tigernoir animator's confession. please shut the fuck up. sorry for being rude, but THEY'RE being rude. nobody cares what you think about cheetz's maps, 95% of the fandom enjoys them, and not to say you can't have an opinion, but being an asshole is no way to go about it. and being an animator in one of their maps doesn't give you the right to ridicule their work either. Grow up

brooo this person is sharing their troubles about working with a popular animator and you decide to bash them for literally no reason. you’re kind of being a petty asshole yourself lol 

i admit it doesn’t even matter how cheeteh z chooses to present and go through with their work and the animator can drop out of the project if they so please. but like. most people choose not to because they want to get their work out there, which i believe was kind of implied in that confession. and there is literally nothing wrong with that omg. and like you need to take into account that you do not know what goes on behind the scenes and you do not know cheeteh z or these animators personally. 

like you Really love their maps and that’s cool who fucking cares but you do not need to. talk shit about a struggling animator who feels worthless working with someone who gets major credit from the fandom for their brilliance and skills despite countless other people having helped them get to where they are now. those animators are fantastic and i actually agree that they Should be doing their own things instead of contributing to a series that really isn’t going anywhere. but if they like doing what they do and theyre having fun then that is fine too. no need to flip out

anyone else notice that warriors YouTuber who has been mass producing warrior cats memes that make zero sense?

If not, here is an example of stuff they made-

One mistaking Barley tor Myler and while they corrected it in the title, no matter what, it isn’t accurate

One having Leafpool yell “GET OUT” to Hollyleaf and Hollyleaf responding with “I just wanna be a healer” which, unless I’m getting horrible forgetful, is something that only happens in Cheeteh Z’s MAP

Which, isn’t entirely bad, but it’s kind of annoying and misleading. 

But, there are more problems, otherwise I wouldn’t be posting this

They use a lot of others people’s designs and don’t credit anyone

Just a short amount of time ago before I wrote this, they made a video where Lionblaze asked Jayfeather is he was flirting with him, and Jayfeather says he has been for the last year. Whether they knew about them being brothers or not is unknown, its still gross and they made a comment saying it was a joke after people pointed out they were brothers, instead of taking it down, like they should have.

I won’t name any names, cause I don’t want anyone to look for them, but I still thought I’d post this just so people know to be careful.
