Relationships don't have to be transactional. They don't even have to be 50/50. The idea that a "good relationship" is split down the middle, where nobody acts like people, and instead vends out appropriate cookie-cutter responses and dialogue is genuinely harmful.
A good relationship is one wherein the person/people involved are happy. You don't have to give, you don't have to take. You can enjoy each other's company and be together. If there comes a time when that need changes, then the person who should know is whomever is in that relationship with you. This isn't solely about romantic or sexual partners, this goes for platonic friends or otherwise anybody who spends enough time with each other to establish some type of relationship with each other.

Kamen Rider NRV Lore Dump!

Manticore
Manticore LLC is a major medical technology company. Publicly, they are most known for their artificial organs and limb prosthesis as well as several other medical devices and equipment used in hospitals worldwide. Less widely publicized are their numerous military contracts, developing cutting edge medical treatment technologies but also advanced weapons, drones, and other offensive hardware.
Tumblr media
Nanoderm
The scientific breakthrough that lead Manticore to dominate in the field of med-tech is the invention of micro-sensors that are capable of reading brain signals in the nervous system and translating them into data a computer can interpret with absolute precision. These microscopic sensors can be integrated into programmable nanomachines that interlock in a mesh that forms durable skin-like material called Nanoderm.  If an exposed section of human tissue is covered in Nanoderm and then allowed to heal, the Nanoderm will become integrated with the tissue like a layer of natural skin. Any impulses or signals sent by the brain to that part of the body will be received by the Nanoderm and translated into data. That data can then be read as motor commands by a Manticore prosthesis. Basic prosthesis models can receive this data via magnetic nodes embedded in the surface of the Nanoderm but more advanced models, capable of finer dexterity/expanded functionality, require a “bone spike,” a rod-like data plug that interfaces with a port in the Nanoderm area that is connected to more advanced sensors. The socket and sensor hardware is imbedded in the body through a surgical procedure.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The catch with the Nanoderm system is it must be applied to the body before the exposed tissue heals over and the exposed nerve endings have a chance to close off, or in other words, while the wound is “fresh”, otherwise the healed tissue must be cut away and a fresh wound made. This means that in emergency situations a patient or their next of kin must make a snap decision to undergo the expensive Nanoderm compatibility surgery as part of their emergency treatment. Of course some insurance plans will cover some or all of this cost. Additionally Manticore has deals with some insurance providers that the surgery come standard with higher end coverage plans, forgoing the need for patient consent. Manticore has exclusive patent rights to the Nanoderm system, meaning once you are Nanoderm compatible, you are locked into the Manticore ecosystem of prosthesis and devices. Additionally your devises can only be serviced by Manticore certified technicians and only Manticore doctors are trained in Nanoderm patient care.
Remote Command (RC)
Manticore is a sprawling corporation with many secrets. One such secret is the Remote Command program. A project Manticore has been working on behind closed doors, the Remote Command program involves research into sending brain signals over great distances without a physical connection between the sensor and the receiving devise. With RC a person could control a prosthetic arm in another part of the world as though it were part of their body. This is achieved by broadcasting the impulses across a proprietary electromagnetic wave length to the receiving nodes. The signal travels point to point and back again at light speed. The potential RC has for the future of drone warfare is staggering, not to mention the potential for profit.
Sensitive as this information is, there’s another layer. All Nanoderm currently in use by people around the world is capable of receiving Remote Command. With the right inputs it can reshape its self, self-replicate, and even, under certain conditions, send signals back to the user’s brain, causing brain damage or, theoretically, controlling them. Whether this functionality of Nanoderm was an intentional feature or not is unknown to anyone currently employed at Manticore but the company has no pans currently to use the Nanoderm in this way. What is known, however, is that if this function ever becomes public knowledge it would be disastrous for Manticore, not to mention the chaos that would ensue if a bad actor were to exploit this function for malicious purposes.

Manticore Special Security (Spec-Sec)
Manticore LLC has secrets, and it has enemies. To protect its secrets, combat its enemies, address the threats to public safety those things pose, (and protect its corporate interests), Manticore formed the Manticore Special Security Division. More than just your standard private security outfit, Spec-Sec is a fully equipped task force and strike force designed to identify, target, track, confront, and nullify any threat to the company and its assets. Thanks to Manticore’s history of generous donations and good standing with local police forces, the Spec-Sec Division is able to operate with a certain degree of discretion, allowing them to carry out operations without interference from police or the legal system. Lead by Special Security Director Sloane, her hand-picked crack team of Special Officers have carried out dozens of high risk operations with ruthless efficacy and, so-far, minimal casualties. Spec-Sec utilizes the most cutting edge technology and weaponry Manticore has, often before it’s even close to market ready. In some cases necessity dictates that Spec-Sec operations serve as ad hoc field tests for experimental equipment.

Core Drivers, Data Boosters, and the Kamen Rider program
The Core Driver is a piece of technology that was developed as part of research into the use of Nanoderm to enhance a soldier’s physical performance on the battlefield. The concept was to temporarily cover the user’s entire body in a layer of Nanoderm mesh that could respond to the signals from the user’s brain in such a way that would increase their strength, speed, perception, and reflexes. The solution was the Core Driver, a device that would house the billions of Nanoderm nanomachines and serve as the computational core for the whole mesh network. Along with the Core Driver was the Data Booster, a flash drive-like device shaped like a syringe. The data booster contained the information that told the nanomachines to deploy from the Core Driver and cover the user. Additionally the Booster came with its own payload of nanomachines that, when the plunger of the syringe was depressed, would also be deployed through the Core Diver and take the form of armor and weapons. Basically, a user need only insert the Data Booster into the Core Diver, clearly speak a voice authentication phrase, and depress the plunger and they would instantly be wearing a powerful yet flexible armored body suit. The project was called the “Kamen Rider program” after the masked visage of the user’s armored faceplate (“Kamen” being the Japanese word for “mask”).
The Project had its drawbacks, however. For one a user would need to already be Nanoderm compatible for the suit to work at all, meaning, practically speaking, the user would need to be an amputee, and the prospect of convincing soldiers to sacrifice a limb to use the Driver was deemed a “hard sell” and the idea of a approaching a freshly maimed soldier with the offer of further combat, well, that wouldn’t be a good look either. The second and most important drawback was the simple fact that the Kamen Rider program was far, FAR too expensive to be profitable, and the thousands of man hours it took to produce just one Core Driver meant mass producing them to sell by the battalion, as Manticore had planned, was simply out of the question.
The Kamen Rider Program was not completely abandoned, however. The first completed Core Driver, designation SVR (Special Versatility Rider model or “Sever” colloquially) is currently coded to Director Sloane of Spec-Sec, who happens to be a double transfemeral amputee. With the Director’s input, the device and the suit itself have been modified heavily over its years of use. It now features the ability for additional Data Boosters to be employed, loaded with weapons and tools in the form of appendages that attach to highly advanced versions of Bone Spike sockets on the suit at the amputation sites of the Rider’s body. The nerve signal enhancing properties of the suit allows the Rider to manipulate these complex, non-human-like appendages with a natural ease and minimal adjustment period.
Tumblr media
A second Core Driver has just recently been put to use in the field at Spec-Sec. The first Kamen Rider designed from the ground up with Spec-Sec modifications. Designation NRV (Neo Rider Variant or “Nerve” colloquially) is encoded to the Division’s newest member, Special Officer Nat Agbayani. A right shoulder disarticulation amputee, he was promoted to the Special Security Division from the internship program in the research wing by the COO of Manticore himself… wait what? That can’t be right…
The existence of any other Core Drivers, in use or otherwise, is classified.

I finished reading the Running Grave! If anyone has read the book or is reading it please send me opinions, takes, or hit me up to discuss it in private!
(spoilers and commentary about the ending, relationships, cult organization and the nature of the book itself)
Oh Strike, that was an awful way of confession. My ex figured I loved you. I would have walked away from that because that is pathetic. Your ex? You relay this info to me, by what your ex thought of it? It's her opinion that we're discussing? Your ex should have nothing to do with you confessing to a woman you love right now. Also you're putting so much pressure on her to now figure it all out, after you just unloaded that on her, in a situation that is nowhere near kind to her. Now she has to struggle with whether to compromise the agency, or break up with her boyfriend, and whatnot. I would literally never confess to someone while they're in a relationship with someone else, much less by the words of 'my ex said this' your ex can... oh never mind.
Speaking of Robin's relationship, Murphy and Matthew are basically the exact same boyfriend, if you replaced Murphy and Matthew you wouldn't need to change the behaviour at all. Both there in a moment where Robin needed comfort, but then utterly insensitive, jealous, posessive, unsupporting of her work, arguing about Strike, demanding, expecting, just the worst kind of pressure that Robin doesn't deserve. And the thing is, I doubt Strike would treat her any better either. He has gotten some kind of appreciation of her work ethic and her company but ultimately I don't think he would understnad her. I don't get why she likes him. I feel revulsion towards him. Poor Robin.
So, I was wrong about Daiyu, and her 'die, you' name lives up to its symbol. The book tricked me every single time, but I was suspicious about Abigail, her behaviour did not add up. I was very impressed with Flora and her talking about the cult's secrets, that was amazing! Way to show Strike to not judge trauma victims for their struggling to process what happened.
I was talking before about how cults ultimately exist to exploit women sexually and reproductively, and for m*n to profit off of psychologically-enslaved women. This book illustrates the same points, even if it doesn't go as far as to say 'this is why the cult exists', it illustrated various ways how it achieves exactly that. Women are told it's required of them to have sex with anyone who wants it, or they're shamed for 'materialism'. This allows m*n unlimited sexual access, as much rape as they could want. Women are forbidden from any kind of contraceptive, or even medicine. This enabled m*n to impregnate them as much as possible. Women are isolated and taught that any family relationships are 'materialist'. The newborn babies are taken from them at birth, and they believe this is normal. This produces indefinite new cult members and, superflous male babies, are sold for cash, earning the cult income off of exploited, indoctrinated, basically enslaved women. Women go so far as to pretend they're sick, pretend something is wrong with them or try to bond with the cult leader, in order to avoid this constant rape, because they can't leave the cult, not even for their own physical safety.
Later we find out that the cult leader also invents 'curative rape' where he rapes mentally ill women and children in order to 'cure' them, and it feels even more that the whole reason all this is happening is to enable as much rape, forced impregnation and exploitation of women as possible. Raping and profitting off of rape and forced pregnancies is what m*n form cults for.
It was very well illustrated, and I wonder if average reader can connect the dots with all of these points and figure out that this was the whole point of the cult, and not just a side-effect, not something that was just done in the background, because they could. It was designed to exploit women like this. I think jkr understood this, and formed the imagionary cult on that basis. All of the teachings were put together specifically to enable this exploitation. And women would get punished for stillbirths, pushing it even further to the point that they exist only to create 'merchandise' (living human beings) for sale.
This book is a horror book, and it brought a lot of fear and anxiety out of me while reading, that's one of the reasons I finished it in a few days, despite it being 964 pages long. You need a release from anxiety and you cannot get it until the cult is brought down. I wish we had gotten more of that. We get a general picture of 'everyone is freed, people are coming out with their stories, Robin takes down Mazu and Becca, Will and Lin are now happy at his parents fancy house, the farm is raided by the police, Daiyu's remains are unearthed', but I wanted to know more. I wanted to know about every single detail they found. I wanted to know about all of the diaries, and the lockers, and all personal things accumulated there as trash. I wanted to hear thoughts and recovery process of every woman trapped there. I wanted it to be pointed out clearly how much worse they had it than males in there (constant rape, forced pregnancies, trauma of babies being taken away, brutal punishments, vs forced labour and free access to women's bodies, whichever one you pick, children are free for the taking too, ability to father children). I now realize that all punishments we've had described in detail were enforced on women, the only male that was being tortured in there was Jacob, and he was just a sick kid, who they let die. The worst and most horrible shaming and humiliating and shunning, it was all done to women. I wanted to know more about how they crawled their way out of that, how they discovered nobody should ever do this to them.
I also wanted to hear Will apologize to Robin for punching her and for being generally awful to her when she literally saved his ass from a whole cult and got fucking tortured in the process. I also wanted to hear about how she got a mountain of money for that job because I don't think anyone in the world would do that job the way Robin did. I don't think any other detective would have gone and taken down a whole-ass cult, as a part of their job, that is not even specialization, she's an unique agent, one in the world, that could have made this happen. She should be filthy rich from this point on.
I forgot to mention this before, but the name "Rowena" reminded me of "Rowena Ravenclaw", and I thought it was fun, I liked that, wonder if it was on purpose. Robin really was amazing and carried this book on her own, Strike was annoying background noise to me. I don't even understand his thought process of realizing those polaroids were a proof of Abigail manipulating people, like in what universe would this occur to someone. I do, however, like a mystery where something is found and then you have to figure out just why was this here, who put it here, for what purpose? Like looking for the object's history. And it was satisfying to get a fitting conclusion to why those polaroids were in the biscuit tin, because Abigail just left them in there, as hidden blackmail material, should she ever need it. Forgotten, in a dusty tin, with the power to make multiple people end their own lives. It ultimately was used, in that way, just without that intention.
I hope the next book will have less trauma in it, this was an amazing, but very heavy read. I'd like a book with less attempts at Robin's life, less suicide, and more dumbass bullshit please.

How Data Breach Affects Your Company
Corporate hackers are growing more sophisticated, daring, and motivated than ever to profit financially through phishing, malware, and ransomware attacks. As a result, many firms are susceptible and struggling to keep their data secure. Others may believe that such criminal activities will have little impact on them. If you fall into the latter category, it's time to consider how data breaches affect your organization.
Tumblr media
Financially
A data breach can frequently have a financial impact on your company. This could take the form of a ransom payment, compensation for impacted consumers, legal bills, lost revenue, the costs of recovering data and reviving breached systems, or future security costs. Fewer hackers are doing it for fun as cybercrime has gotten more profitable. Making money is the most important motivator for hackers these days. If you're wondering how data breaches affect your organization, your financial bottom line is near the top of the list.
Reputationally
A data breach can have a significant impact on the reputation of your firm. This is especially true if the compromised data belongs to one of your customers. Customers expect to be secured from unauthorized use of sensitive personal and financial information when they disclose it to you. If your company is determined to be at fault for placing that information at risk, you may lose not only your current customer base but also future customers. A corporation that develops a reputation for lousy data security may also be associated with other shortcomings, whether merited or not. Data breaches influence your company's credibility.
Intellectually
A data breach could result in the loss of valuable intellectual property. If your company's research, tactics, or trademarked materials are stolen, it may face a competitive disadvantage. Trade secrets are frequently what separates a leading company from its competitors. Having those secrets spread against your consent could lead to your demise. Intellectual property is significantly more valuable than physical property in specific business domains and must be protected accordingly.
Legally
If your organization handles sensitive information, a data breach will almost certainly result in legal issues. Organizations mandated to secure sensitive information may face legal action from regulatory authorities, governments, and customers. Dealing with litigation is not only time-consuming but can also be financially disastrous. Legal issues may require you to delegate your principal business tasks while you are in court.
Functionally
A data leak can bring your company to a halt. Companies that rely significantly on IT, computation, and data may be completely cut off from their critical services due to a successful hack. Even a modest breach can result in significant downtime as systems are reviewed, cleaned up, and recovered. In some situations, hacked data might render a corporation inoperable for extended periods.
Employee Morale Has Dropped
Data breaches frequently involve external and internal inquiries, finger-pointing, and scapegoating.
Employee morale can suffer as a result of this.
Following a data breach, businesses must band together to correct the situation.
However, it can also lead to staff dismissals, resignations, and a fear-based culture.
Keeping your data secure is also essential for maintaining staff morale.
Get a free evaluation today to discover more about how MBCs can safeguard your organization from cyber threats.

Online Trading Services Trading and More
INTRODUCTION
There is no doubt that online trading has become a huge part of the financial world. Many people want to take advantage of this trend, but they are unsure how to do so. In this post we will discuss what you need to know about CFDs (contract for difference) and forex trading so you can make your own decision on whether or not it's right for you!
CFD Trading
CFD stands for Contract for Difference.
The basic idea behind CFDs is that you can trade on the price of an asset without actually owning it. This can be done by buying a contract, which gives you the right (but not obligation) to sell or buy at a certain price within a certain amount of time.
There are many different types of contracts available and they vary in terms of how much leverage they offer, as well as what kind of assets they cover. For example, commodities such as gold and oil may be traded using synthetic products like options or futures contracts with very high leverage ratios; stocks will likely use index options which provide less leverage but also allow investors access to more exotic instruments like ETFs (exchange traded funds).
Forex Trading
Forex is a 24-hour market, with trading taking place around the clock. The global forex market is one of the largest and most liquid markets in the world.
Forex trading also offers investors from around the world an opportunity to participate in this exciting financial revolution.
Stocks and Indices
Stocks and indices are a great way to get involved in the stock market. They're also one of the most popular forms of online trading, so they're often referred to as 'the big four' when talking about investing.
Stocks and indices can be used as an effective way to diversify your portfolio or make money by investing in companies that are not related to each other but have similar values (e.g., Apple vs Microsoft).
Commodities
Commodities are raw materials that are traded in the futures market. The most common type of commodity is oil, but there are many other types of commodities that can be traded as well.
This article is meant to educate people on the advantages of online trading services.
Online trading services are the best way to trade. They offer many benefits over traditional trading, including:
Cheaper fees than traditional trading
More convenient and secure than traditional trading
The first two points above are obvious, but the third one may not be so clear. Traditional traders often complain about how inconvenient it is for them to go out and meet up with other people in real life; they don't want to do that because it takes time away from what they really want: making money! With online trading services though, there's no need for any of this hassle since you don't have anything physical holding you back from making your profit as fast as possible!
CONCLUSION
We hope this article has been helpful in giving you a better idea of what type of trading service you might want to use.
With VESTINGFX, invest in assets from around the globe with any internet-connected device. For more details, check out our website https://www.vestingfx.com/

that time travel experiment room
not precisely detailed as i have no access to the stream on demand, but here’s a summary of the info and implications i gathered as important from matt’s descriptions, prior episodes, and d&d mechanics.
(full of spoilers.)
.
.
the room was lead-lined. this could mean two things, which are not necessarily mutually exclusive:
radioactive material was involved with the tests the aeorian researchers were doing in this room. there was also residue on the walls. since matt has thoroughly grounded aeor in both fantasy and sci-fi, this isn’t out of the realm of possibility.
they wanted to protect the room from certain divination spells. lead lining blocks spells like locate object and detect magic from ‘perceiving’ through it. (note: lead does not block all divination.)
the spellwork was a combination of transmutation and dunamancy.
dunamancy, we know, is the magic of potentiality and specializes in manipulating time and space.
to quote the official description of the school of transmutation, bold mine:
“You are a student of spells that modify energy and matter. To you, the world is not a fixed thing, but eminently mutable, and you delight in being an agent of change. You wield the raw stuff of creation and learn to alter both physical forms and mental qualities. Your magic gives you the tools to become a smith on reality's forge. “Some transmuters are tinkerers and pranksters, turning people into toads and transforming copper into silver for fun and occasional profit. Others pursue their magical studies with deadly seriousness, seeking the power of the gods to make and destroy worlds.”
to combine these two schools therefore suggests not only the capacity to travel through time, but to actively change time or one’s timeline.
(in case you were ever wondering why caleb (and liam) selected that subclass out of the official ones.)
the experiments only attempted “a few seconds of transit.”
matt did not explicitly clarify what dimension of transit. what is most likely in context, assuming ‘safe’ experimental stages with time travel, is temporal travel by a few seconds into the past or future.
these transits caused great physical stress on the subjects.
this ties well with essek’s story of a presumed time traveler returning to immediately scatter into dust (e91, 42:09).
the subject leaves behind an “echo.” by the aeorian researchers’ theories, this served as an anchor point for the subject to return to.
another phenomenon called an “echo” has been described by essek in-game and is present in the EGTW as a product of the spell ‘resonant echo’ and the features of the echo knight fighter subclass. these shadowy spectral copies are supposedly “potential selves left to fade in unrealized timelines” (e77, 2:03:04).
the researchers theorized that their work could allow travel to other timelines.
presuming that these two “echo” concepts are the same and accurate, this suggests that the spell transports the subject to an alternate timeline (or the possibility of one) and leaves behind an echo of the subject because their ‘realized’ self is now in another timeline.
if this echo serves as an anchor point, the spell may be transporting the subject by swapping these ‘selves.’
however, they were apparently experiencing problems with subjects that traveled farther than they were supposed to go and never returned, their echoes fading.
this implies that the person traveling has control over where/when they intend to land, not anyone who remains with the spell circle. the person who travels may be the caster.
there is a limit to the temporal ‘distance’ one can travel before either perishing or losing the return path to one’s originating timeline.
it’s unclear so far whether this limit is inherent to the spell itself as it currently stands, to the resilience of the time traveler, to the resilience of their echo, or something unknown.
most importantly:
the aeorian researchers drew some of their knowledge and theories from a luxon beacon in their possession, which they referred to as “the primal artifact.”
the level of knowledge and understanding that would be required to create a luxon beacon defeats the purpose of studying the object. the spell experimentation similarly would make no sense.
referring to it as “the primal artifact” implies that they only possessed a singular beacon and discovered it in such a way as to convince them that the beacon was very old. considering the choice of “primal,” they may have dated it to pre-mortal existence, when the gods were the only beings.
this context and chosen terminology therefore suggests that aeorian archmages discovered a luxon beacon. they did not create them.

Hi, I’ve been wondering this for a while... given how popular both GG and DD are, I would be really amazed if there were no pictures of them together taken by paparazzi or fans. But there seems to be none. I hate to say this but realistically there must be greedy people out there who would jump at profiting from selling their pictures to the media. And it seems that the rumors are that they interact with each other outside of their living space. Anyway, I was wondering what your thoughts were. Thanks!
Hi! I want to start this off by saying that this is fake, this is fanfiction, and is purely my personal opinion on the topic, so please don’t take this as fact. Other people may have a different take, and that’s perfectly fine - the only 2 people who really know what’s what are GGDD. The rest of us are mere spectators, trying to guess at the truth.
Now, with that said, I’m going to break this post into photos taken of them during the Untamed, and photos taken of them post-Untamed. Why? Because I think the amount of photos and BTS of taken during the filming of the Untamed have shaped people’s expectations on the amount of material that they expect to find on GGDD post-Untamed, and I want to talk a bit about why we should be happy that there isn’t more material on them post-Untamed.
So I think there’s some fandom consensus that whatever started between them really solidified/became serious when they began filming the Untamed. I say this because of some of the things that came out from the BTS - for example, the birthday BTS, and DD’s post the next day gives me a very strong impression that for him, at least, was when he had made up his mind about GG. So I’m going to hazard a guess and say that that was when they really decided how they wanted to take things forward.
Now, if we go by that timeline, there are plenty of pictures and videos of them, and all of those can be excused by the fact that they’re co-workers who have to work in close proximity with each other - literally, the very nature of their respective characters means that they share plenty of scenes. To me, this is the perfect cover for a budding relationship, where you can constantly be around and touch someone you’re interested in and pass it off as “guys being guys and hanging out and roughhousing”. So what I’m trying to get at is that there are tons of pictures of GGDD together during this time - just that it makes it harder for people to sort out whether it’s pictures of co-workers hanging out, or whether it’s something more. (I mean it’s easy for us, but that’s because we’re all clowns!)
However, there’s one set of photos that stick out to me, and that’s the Dragon Boat festival. You can read more about that here. I’m going to guess and say that that was probably the first time that GGDD was aware of the spotlight on them - the spotlight being the world outside the bubble of the Untamed set. Sure, there were cameras pointed at them all the time while they were on set, but that’s on set, where there’s an expectation that they would be filmed. This was the paps trying to catch DD on a date with his “girlfriend”, and finding GG there instead. Then after that, the Untamed blew up, and suddenly the whole world was looking at them. I don’t think anyone in the cast or crew expected to find this much level of success - yes, there was already a set fanbase from the books, but this not only turned out to be a massive hit in China, it also swept through Southeast Asia and even caught the attention of people halfway around the globe in America and Europe. Now, if the Dragon Boat photos had put them on alert, the resulting craze for the Untamed would only make them more wary.
The Untamed aired from June to August 2019. According to this incredible post, GGDD’s last joint interview was the Thailand fan meet in September 2019. That’s also the last time we have “good” BTS videos and photos of them - because any interactions between them could easily be explained away as them promoting the show. After that, with exception of when they meet at award shows or for official events, it seems like the amount of BTS photos and videos of them together abruptly drop off, so it’s natural that some fans wonder why it is, when they’re supposedly so close.
My guess is that post-Untamed, they’ve become much more aware of the number of eyes watching them. They know the lengths that some fans will go to, and they’re very careful to take precautions and surround themselves with people they know they can trust. And the lengths that they go to protect their privacy can be extreme - I’m linking to this old article to highlight that as far back as 2019, GG was already engaging in defensive tactics to try and avoid crazy fans. Last year, there was a period where they began adopting each other’s style to the point that on a casual glance, people mistook GG as DD and vice versa. There was some speculation that they did this on purpose so in the event that someone actually saw them, they would have assumed that it was actually the other person. (ie. if someone saw GG exiting DD’s hotel but dressed like how DD would have dressed, they would have assumed it was DD).
In addition, there were clips that showed how uncomfortable both of them were when they realised the full extent of how much BTS there was, and how much BTS had been released. If anything, that would probably only reinforce their need for discretion. Keep in mind that while China has decriminalised homosexuality, however, LGBT folk are still discriminated against. Any photos or videos of them that can’t be explained away would have a serious impact on their careers, so I’m not surprised that they’re now very careful about what they do and how they behave around each other publicly, which might be a stark contrast on how they used to behave around each other when filming the Untamed. You can see how stiff and formal they are around each other at official awards and events, and this is the reason why.
Also, keep in mind that they’re also both busy professionals with very hectic schedules, and who probably don’t have a lot of opportunities to physically meet, and the lack of photos or videos of them together post-Untamed would make a lot of sense.
It’s also good that they’re not always collaborating professionally (even though a collaboration would mean that they would get to legitimately spend time with each other). Both of them are trying to move beyond the label of 小鲜肉 (literally, little fresh meat), which can have negative connotations - ie. they’re just a pretty face with no talent. Their success outside of the Untamed and outside of each other proves that they’re not just one-trick ponies who only are only famous or successful because of fan service, and that’s good.
However! 2020 was kind of an incredible year for how much DD slipped up during TTXS (and on other shows). There were so many instances where he said something that left his brothers scrambling to cover for him. Others have done a far more detailed and better job in covering some of these instances here and here. You have infer a bit more, and you don’t get everything laid out for you in a photo or a BTS video, but their interactions are still there - just in a different form.

Another Very Important Update
November 8, 2020
Hi everybody! We’re back again with another big update. There’s a lot of information in this one, but very important information at that, so we encourage you to read through this carefully! We apologize for the delay since the last announcement; we always strive to be as transparent, accountable and communicative as possible, and while we had hoped to have big news for you very soon, the reality is that these things take time, and our talks with Indiegogo dragged on longer than we had hoped.
About our difficulties accessing our fundraiser money:
We’ll get straight to the point: we still don’t have our funding. After incorporating as a non-profit society and even going as far as acquiring a business number, our disbursement failed for the 7th time. This is incredibly frustrating—after jumping through so many hoops, we found ourselves at the same dead end. As such, we had a very firm discussion with Indiegogo and let them know that this was simply unacceptable (see below the cut to view screenshots of our ongoing communication with them; we want to make it very clear to our backers that we have been trying as hard as we can to keep this project on course, but also that delays have been largely out of our control). After we stressed the importance of our project to Indiegogo, they escalated the situation to their very highest level of support at our insistence, as it is clear to us now that the problem with the disbursement lies with them and not with us. We have our fingers crossed that we will hear from them soon, but as the holiday season is approaching—not to mention that COVID-19 cases are on the rise—we expect further and longer delays than usual.
We know that this news is disappointing—we’re in the same boat as you. We cannot emphasize enough how passionate we are about our project, especially now that Dean and Cas’ relationship has been textually canonized on the show (we’re still shaking after this week’s episode)! We want to assure you that we have been working tirelessly to resolve this disbursement situation with Indiegogo and we cannot thank you enough for your patience and support and encouragement—without you on our side, we’re not sure we would’ve been able to keep going this long, but knowing how much these books mean to our backers has been a critical driving force for us, and we just want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
On our end, the E-book version of our anthology is nearing completion (we’re so thrilled about how beautiful this book’s final form is looking!), and we have done everything and anything we can to speed up the process of this book’s printing, but the fact remains that without any money, we simply can’t go very far. We promised you all that we would never spend your money until we were sure we could deliver and we intend to keep that promise to the best of our ability. For that reason, we won’t purchase our materials for merch nor place an order to print the anthology until Indiegogo releases our disbursement to us. This way, we protect both ourselves and you financially, but this also means that at this point in time, we are at a standstill. We can’t move forward until we receive our funding and while we remain hopeful that the solution is very much within close reach, we unfortunately can’t speed up this process any more than we already have—it all comes down to how quickly Indiegogo responds to us.
About when we’re going to ship out these books:
This unfortunately also means that we have to revise our project shipping date again. We had previously been hopeful that we would be able to get these books out to you all by December 2020. Now we see that this won’t be the case. We are not expecting our issue with the disbursement to resolve before January 2021 at the earliest (and that is simply due to our expectation that Indiegogo’s operation will be slower due to short-staffing during the Christmas holidays); therefore, it has now become fairly clear to us that these books will go out sometime in late winter or early spring 2021, but without our funds becoming available to us, we won’t be able to pin down a specific date just yet. As soon as we receive our funding, we will make clear a firm deadline and let you know immediately. As we have completed nearly all of the book work on our end, shipping will follow quickly after a disbursement reaches us successfully—we won’t wait around to get these books to you and will work at top speed so that you can enjoy the wonderful works contained within our anthology as quickly as possible! Trust us—our content contributors did a phenomenal job and we couldn’t be more proud of them!
About whether these books will be hardcovers:
We also talked about hardcovers back when we initially ended our campaign, and again more recently. As we mentioned last time, without a resolution to our disbursement issue, it’s very difficult to determine whether we can afford them. As this project has now veered into the new year, we expect new quotes from the printer which could be higher than we initially received when we began fundraising. All in all, with the amount of money we expect to be disbursed to us, we can 100% afford softcovers and account for all merch in every tier. So to reiterate: a physical book is definitely coming—there has never been any question of that—and so are all the things that we promised you, but whether it will be a softcover or a hardcover is something that we simply can’t be sure of until we have better news about our disbursement situation.
About changing your address if you’re moving:
Lastly, we know that since our shipping date is uncertain, there may be people who will have new addresses at that time. Please don’t worry about this! When we are ready to ship, we will email everybody and ask them to confirm their addresses. You will have the opportunity to change it then. You are welcome to email us now with an address change but we urge you to wait until we contact you, because even if you provide us with a new address now, we will still ask you again to confirm it later! Rather, it is far more important to make sure that you regularly check the email address that you used when donating to our campaign on Indiegogo—we will always use that as our primary method of contact with you.
In conclusion:
We want to acknowledge that this process has been a longer one than any of us expected, but our passion and love for this project has not changed. We remain committed to delivering some beautiful books to you very soon, and we thank you so much for throwing that same passion and support right back at us!
As always, should you ever have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us!
Sincerely and with much love,
Your 8 Nerds
P.S. We’re still freaking out about that episode.
See below the cut for screenshots of our communication with Indiegogo:
June 8, 2020: We reached out to Indiegogo after our first disbursement failed to reach us
Tumblr media
In the following months, every 2-3 weeks, Indiegogo tried disbursing the money we raised for the anthology and it failed again and again. To resolve this issue, we tried many different things, not limited to creating a non-profit community bank account, incorporating as a non-profit society and obtaining a business number. It became clear after so much hard work on our part that we were not responsible for the failed disbursements. This was directly the fault of Indiegogo and we urged them to take the matter to experts in their company.
October 27, 2020:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
November 4, 2020: We finally received a reply. After our contact at Indiegogo contacted Stripe, the company responsible for sending our disbursement to us, Stripe confirmed that our information had always been correct, but that Indiegogo did not input it to Stripe correctly. We are now waiting for them to try another disbursement which, fingers crossed, will finally go through to us!

Short History of the American Comic Book Industry, Part I (1929-1954)
No-one asked for it, but I can, so here it comes:
The 0th hour
The turn of the century: comics exist as political cartoons and comic strips in Sunday newspapers
Then we have The Funnies (1929-1930), which was, well, like a comic magazine, but not really. It was published weekly/monthly, was sold at newsstands, had new materisl, but it was described as “more a Sunday comic section without the rest of the newspaper.” It also folded quickly.
But then in 1933 some clever guys at the Eastern Color Printing Company had the great idea to reprint Sunday comics, so the printers wouldn’t be standing idle during the night. This became The Famous Funnies, which was given away as a promotional item by Procter & Gamble. It was a HUGE hit.
So the next year came Funnies on Parade, which is considered the first real American comic book. Because it was sold for money! (10 cents) And it had new material! First in black and white, then soon in color. And people loved it, and bout hundreds of thousand copies of it.
And then of course people started to realize that there was business in comics, and within a couple of years, everybody and their mother was publishing comics.
The Golden Age
Started with Superman—with Action Comics #1 in 1938
Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, who were high school buddies, had actually been working on the character since 1933. At some point, he was meant to be a villain. At another, he was meant to have been sent back from the future. They got $130 for the script.
He is also a Jewish assimilation fantasy (PSA: most of the big name from the early days of comics were Jewish) and kinda like Moses—somebody who is different, and is loved for being different.
And it was a total fluke that he ended up on the cover of Action Comics. If I remember well, publisher Jack Liebowitz decided on the cover the day before the issue went to printing.
Superman was everything that people loved: sci-fi, fantasy, mythology, pulp. They loved it.
Soon, everyone is doing superheroes. Like, everyone. There are a bunch of publishers, too, because everyone wants a slice of the profit. Most characters never get their own series, and are soon forgotten.
Batman came in 1939. Marvel also started publishing comics that year, but back then they were known as Timely comics. Their first characters were Namor and the Human Torch, but not the Johnny Storm Human Torch. Nope, this was an android.
People love comics, everybody is reading comics, and the most popular titles sells more than a million copies per issue. But it’s embarrassing to work on comics. If you want to be taken seriously as an illustrator/writer, you won’t admit that you’ve worked on comics. I bunch of comics from this era is uncredited.
Stanley Lieber started working for Timely at 17, in 1940 (he was a relative of the boss’ wife, that’s how he got the job). He wanted to be a serious a writer, so he knew he couldn’t have his real name featured in comics. So he signed his stuff as Stan Lee instead.
Most comics are about three times as long as the ones today, and they feature a wide range of different stories: superhero stuff, talking animals, western, slapstick… There is a huge variety of genres. Each story is about 10 pages long, and those are separate, self-contained stories. Comics are printed in cheap, bad quality paper, and they’re not meant to last, so there’s not really any point in creating much of a continuity.
Only Timely is kinda doing it by sow the seeds of the shared narrative universe.
Also, of course, Wonder Woman also debuts in 1941. Holy cow, her creator, William Moulton Marston, was some character. Even more so than how he is depicted in Professor Marston and the Wonder Women, which does a great job at showcasing his theories and a terrible job at showing the origins of Wonder Woman.
Atomic Age, transition, and witch hunt
The superhero bubble bursts after the end of WWII. The biggest characters were all about the war effort and patriotism, and we don’t really care about it anymore. The interest shifts to science fiction, horror, true crime (these two mostly read by returning GIs, NOT by kids), and most superheroes are forgotten. Some people call this period the Atomic Age of Comics
William Moulton Marston dies in 1947, and Robert Kanigher takes over writing Wonder Woman, replacing WMM’s bondage-infused “feminism” (the quotation marks are justified) with traditional femininity. Now it’s not about Diana bringing peace, but about her getting Steve marry her.
Captain America fights commies for a couple of issues in 1954, and it’s surreal.
Also, TV sets were becoming more popular, so kids turned to TV instead of comics.
Criticism against comics it also growing. Because it’s bad. It’s immoral, and it hurts the kids’ eyes, and it goes against physics and stuff.
The real problem is that for the first time, kids are deciding for themselves what to read—comics are cheap enough that they can buy them themselves.
People actually hold comic burnings in the late 1940s.
Then here comes Dr. Fredric Wertham, psychiatrist, who was working with juvenile delinquents in Harlem, and he had this idea that kids turned to crime because they were reading comics. And he was loud about it.
In 1954, he published a book titled Seduction of the Innocent, where he said stuff like Batman and Robin promoted a gay lifestyle (I’ll give it to him, those early Batman comics were pretty gay), Wonder Woman was a bad role model for girls (they weren’t supposed to want to be like her, because WW was independent and badass and stuff), and Superman made people believe physics didn’t matter.
He was wrong on many counts, of course, because, as said before, every kid was reading comics, and those who came from stable families didn’t turn to crime.
He eventually made such a noise that a senate subcommittee was set up to discuss whether comics were bad or not.
The side against comics was represented by Wertham, a charismatic professional. The side for comics was represented by the business heads of the comic publishers, who had no idea about the content of their publications. Because it just cannot go wrong, right?
(Except for William Gaines, the head of EC Comics, who said at the hearing that a cover featuring a severed head is in good taste for a horror comic. Not the best response in the given situation.)
In the end, the committee decided that there was little credibility in Wertham’s claims, but comics still might be a problem, so the industry should regulate itself.
So they formed the Comics Code Authority (CCA) as a self-censorship body for comics
They issues an editorial guideline that said stuff like good always has to win, authority figures cannot be shown in a bad light, crime cannot be shown, words like terror or horror cannot be shown on the cover, no monsters, no indecent clothes, etc.
If anyone wanted to publish a comic, they had to submit it to the CCA, and it decided if it was okay by the guidelines or it. If it was, it got a stamp—the seal of approval—on the cover.
The seal had no legal standing, but there was an agreement with the wholesalers that they would only carry comics with the seal.
On the short term, this led to the bankruptcy is a lot of publishers. It basically killed off the horror genre. On the long run, it created a market vacuum, that was filled in by a new wave of superhero titles (the Silver Age is coming, baby!), and also helped to establish the underground comix movement.
The CCA had a huge effect on the industry for decades, but it started to lose its power by the 70s. By the 90s, only four companies were in it. On of those, Harvey, went bankrupt in the 90s. Marvel left in 2001. DC, and finally Archie, in 2011.

Before TikTok, Witches Traded Their Spells on This Ancient Internet Forum
Long before the witches of Gen-Z claimed TikTok as their digital coven, and even before the Geocities-scattered digital landscapes of Web 1.0, a thousands-strong community once formed via the world’s phone lines to trade spells, advise on sigils, and correspond on spiritual guidance. It was called the Pagan And Occult Distribution Network, or PODSnet: a slice of occult internet history that helped pioneer mass online collaboration.
Today, it’s easy to take for granted that online communities are only a few taps away, but in the 1980s and early 1990s, finding like-minded individuals in niche subject areas was practically revolutionary. And in the case of PODSnet, it provided an unusually free space to discuss the esoteric arts—for many of its members, for the first time ever.
"In the 1990s and 1990s, accessing the social media of the day was very different than it is today,” Farrell McGovern, a PODSnet cofounder who came to Paganism through books about quantum physics such as The Dancing Wu Li Masters, told Motherboard. “It was louder, slower, and connectivity was perilous.”
In the early 1980s, computing enthusiasts began using Bulletin Board Systems (BBS) to communicate with each other. These systems were a precursor to the World Wide Web, and although relatively primitive, paved the way for the always-on communication of today.
Because BBS ran on phone lines, discussions were asynchronous and often confined to local groups due to the dramatic costs of dialing farther afield than your own state. What’s more, the boards were isolated from one another: an analogy might be if every single subreddit needed its own website, and you could only speak to users in your immediate area.
But in 1984, artist and technician Tom Jennings created FidoNet, a network that could connect all of these BBS systems. With the advent of cheaper modems, FidoNet’s popularity exploded into a huge 20,000-node network that connected users all around the world. Eventually, something called Echomail was introduced by a system operator, or sysop, called Jeff Rush, allowing for the support of public forums.
Instead of simply picking up your smartphone, BBS users would have to connect their computer to a modem, which was linked to a phone line—translating digital 1s and 0s into audio information and back again to the modem and terminal operating the BBS.
Popular BBSes would frequently return a busy signal: unlike today, actually logging off was necessary because only one connection was allowed at a time. A successful login returned a screen of text and a list of messages grouped into categories, with the software tracking the ones you had read. Here, users would respond to text, download what they could, and hang up.
Here, a BBS called "Magicknet" flourished, but one problem in particular spurred its users to found their own splinter network: Christian fundamentalists had infiltrated the group to spy on members.
This infiltration led to a number of incidents, including McGovern being written up in the magazine of infamous cult figure Lyndon Larouche as a “well-known witch from Toronto”. Given the various tabloid-led "Satanic panics" at the time, founding an independent BBS was not only right for promoting lively metaphysical discourse, it was a matter of safety too.
“People were losing their jobs, child custody, etc,” McGovern told Motherboard. “People had to move to escape persecution in some areas: very much so in the Bible Belt, but in other places, too. Unless you were in a major metropolitan area, and even then, you ran some degree of risk if you were outed.”
McGovern was first involved in his local BBS scene around Ottawa in the mid-1980s. Working at a local computer store that sold Apple and IBM PC clones, McGovern set up the Data/Sfnet BBS to advertise the business. In doing so, he became a SysOp—a system operator who ran, maintained, and in many cases built a network—granting him honorary entry to the computing elite at the time.
Being based in Canada, McGovern was the first to help Magicknet go international before it split into PODSnet, which would swell to 10,000 members who accessed the BBS by dialling into the 93 "zone number"—a reference to Thelema, the spiritual movement developed by Aleister Crowley.
Tumblr media
The logo of the PODSnet bulletin board system.
For author and occult store supplier Dorothy Morrison, who was raised Catholic but eventually joined a coven of practicing witches in California before forming one of her own, discovering PODSnet was an “incredible way to find so many people of like mind at one place”.
“It was a place where I could be myself, regardless of the fact I really was living in a very conservative, buttoned-down state,” Morrison told Motherboard. “It wasn’t just a safe haven for me, it was an escape from having to appear to be someone I wasn’t for safety reasons."
“When someone wants to burn you at the stake—at that time Missouri was not a place that would’ve taken kindly to Witches—you certainly don’t tell them where you keep the gas can,” she said.
The atmosphere on PODSnet was typically collaborative and friendly, said Morrison, and the most arresting dramas on the board she was aware of usually related to the enormous phone bills that came from connecting to the network. (Although once or twice these charges “damned near landed some folks in divorce court.")
But, like the internet today, there were hints of gossip, rumours, and fake news. One popular cause for the community was the supposed persecution of 9 million witches by Christians (The whole idea was based on bad scholarship, according to McGovern). At one point, there was a six-year-long debate on whether or not Kate Bush is Wiccan—perhaps one of the most heated internet disputes of its time.
Whatever the topic, much of these PODSnet discussions would have been lost to time were it not for a community effort to archive the cherished message board. Still accessible in its archived ASCII form today, PODSnetters worked together to produce what was perhaps the first mass collaborative online project of its type: a massive, crowdsourced digital grimoire  called the Internet Book of Shadows.
The name of the enormous seven-volume text references the catch-all "Book of Shadows," a name commonly used for tomes of spells and rituals, and the text covers the A-Zs of alternative spirituality from "Asatru to Zen Buddhism." Chapter one alone is 70,000 words long, and there’s a varied store of stuff available within, including an essay about bashing fluffy bunnies (the tendency among some well-seasoned practitioners to troll newbies, as opposed to bashing actual rabbits), a guide to cleansing rituals called "smudging," and an introduction to the suppressed traditions of Gnosticism.
Plenty of contributors to the Book of Shadows remain involved in esoteric spiritual communities today, and some, like Morrison, became authors in their own right.
Tumblr media
One of Dorothy Morrison’s favorite contributions to the Internet Book of Shadows.
Morrison says the book of rituals, spells, stories, legends, and “other magic-related miscellany” took seven 5-inch loose-leaf binders to contain it when she once decided to print out the information the community had amassed. The community then began compiling the grimoire into downloadable digital files.
Once it was finished, PODSnet users agreed to offer the Book of Shadows as a gift, free of charge, to the community. While they were copyrighted, they were free to use and copy under the proviso that there was no charge for their acquisition—leading to later frustrations about unauthorized reproductions of the manuscript for profit.
“It’s probably the largest collection of pagan thought that was freely available to copy for non-commercial use,” McGovern added.
According to Dan Harms, an author and librarian at SUNY Cortland, magick practice has thrived on community-produced documents throughout history. Even during the print era, there was a “tremendous sort of traffic in books, manuscripts being passed back and forth between people,” chopping and changing aspects of the manuscripts they liked before copying them out.
“What was really different here, is that when the material was copied or created, it’s put up online for everybody to see,” Harms said. “It becomes a collective memory. It’s not something that’s stuck on somebody’s shelf, it’s something everybody can get into.”
Harms told Motherboard that communities like PODSnet were of enormous importance for establishing networks of occult practitioners and helped lay the groundwork for driving a boom in occult publishing.
“I was growing up in rural Kentucky with an interest in these kinds of arcane topics,” said Harms, who wasn't involved in the occult internet at the time of PODSnet but was an active Usenet user. “It was just so hard to find any sort of information – you would have to rely on the local library.  But the local library in rural Kentucky is probably not looking to fill up its shelves with books about magic and paganism and things like that.”
Today, what was once a recondite pocket of the primordial internet has hit the mainstream, with even the Financial Times covering the "WitchTok" phenomenon. Speaking with PODSnetters, there’s a sense that in today's online spaces, community and information exchange can often take a backseat to clout and hostility. “[But] how much of that is getting older and yelling ‘get off my grass’,” asks McGovern, “or true insight – only time will say.”
Whatever the case, PODSnet—which closed around the turn of the millennium before hopping to Yahoo Groups, LiveJournal, and now with its remnants on Facebook—proved that digital technologies can bring disparate people together in a meaningful way, where they are happy to create and produce for the good of their communities.
“I remember those I met along that journey, what they taught me—not only about the Craft, but about myself—and the connections I made," said Morrison.“I remember how fortunate I was that PODSnet was there for me. To a large degree, that experience formed the person I am today, and I'll be forever grateful.”

How To Begin With Your Very First Invention
Tumblr media
The little light bulb inside your head has lit up as well as you are stuck with the idea that you developed something You are uncertain yet just how useful your idea goes to this time around, however, something. informs you that this may be the Luck you were searching for. What you do next and exactly how you approach your next actions is exceptionally vital as well as will certainly either lead you on to splendor or will ruin your endeavor. The steps that I will certainly lay out a little later may appear unneeded; nonetheless, I want to guarantee you that in the end, you will certainly be happy that you took my suggestions.
Before we wage the discussion, I would love to provide a couple of words of knowledge. While working with your concept you will certainly experience individuals who will slam your job and also attempt to prevent you from forging ahead. Several of the objection will certainly be deserved as well as the need to be taken into account. If you see that a valid point is raised that you never thought about before - the much better off you are. It permits you to stop briefly as well as see your concept from another perspective (or angle). Nonetheless, you might additionally encounter a supposed devastating objection that is not based upon any type of facts.
When you learn exactly how to separate these two, you will be far better off. My recommendations to you -
- Do not be afraid to inquiry experts, since the majority of specialists are one-track minded and oblivious to various other points
- Do not be afraid to test other people's ideas, wait for your principles and also be firm
When you are ready to market your idea, you will need to take care of big firms. Bear in mind that the bigger the firm is, the more bureaucratic it is. Lots of big companies lose focus and also often work with staff members who are either not received the job, or just not interested in what they are doing. If you stumble upon these individuals that are attempting to make you feel trivial (and also your concept unimportant as well as not practical) don't get dissuaded by this - opportunities are you will certainly be far better off dealing with a smaller company that is extra focused and also going to take dangers!
- Do not be afraid to find that your idea is malfunctioning. Time out, make corrections, re-analyze as well as move ahead
Action 1 - Stay Focused and Document Your Idea
This action has significant benefits, because -
1. You will plainly define your invention idea 2. While documenting your idea, you may locate means on exactly how to increase your invention
Constantly attempt to place on paper what it is that you designed - precisely define your suggestion, its objective, restrictions, and target audience. If you can not exactly define your idea, after that this implies that you need to take an action back, re-analyze your reasoning, and streamline things.
Case Study 1
In the final evaluation, John K. should have stopped right before making any type of adjustments to his initial Automatic Knife System and also asked himself the adhering to - am I better off with the original system or with a pedestrian mechanism that has extra features? Are the extra attributes also required?
While laboring difficult on his invention, John K. creates technical illustrations and decides that his future product will profit from the enhancement of additional things - a scissor as well as a screwdriver. The enhancement of these products makes the last product larger and much heavier.
The above example clearly shows the following - focus on your initial concept and also disregard additional, superfluous attributes that could muddle your vision. Additional attributes will certainly enter into play later on, as soon as you clearly explained as well as formed your invention.
Action 2 Exploratory Stages - Determine if your concept is distinct
Once you've documented your concept, you should start thinking about the following - exactly how unique is my concept? To answer these questions, you will have to do some legwork and hit your local library and also the net. Unless you allowed a huge quantity of your spending plan to Patent Attorney, who will investigate for you, you will certainly be much better off doing a preliminary study by yourself. Why? Because you might uncover during your exploratory searches that your style is not one-of-a-kind and also save yourself from paying Large Legal representative fees. A note of care - don't get dissuaded if you determine that the suggestion similar to your own already exists and also already patented. The reality that a person concerned similar conclusions as you, just a bit previously is excellent - you have competitors! Competitors are good, competition is healthy and balanced! Very carefully check out the contending item, even take it apart, if required. Determine what separates your concept from rivals, its restrictions, and also just how effective it was an additional individual (or a business) with marketing it. As you can see, you can really learn from the mistakes of others, prevent their blunders, as well as advance fully aware of the competitors and also their constraints.
Action 3 - Product Security Considerations
Whether you determined to create a baby product or some sort of house device, special care must be absorbed describing potential hazards associated with using your product. If you invented a new plaything developed for small children, attempt to come up with the listing of parts that can damage your little customers. Remember that lots of people, regrettably, neglect exploitation handbooks. Establish what can or might fail with the operation of your product and also identify means on just how to boost item safety. The questions that you might ask on your own are the complying with -
1. Am I using proper materials? 2. Maybe the part which contains the most risks should be revamped?
Attempt to find up with a comprehensive list of parts that can be potentially unsafe as well as fix your style before you start marketing your item. You might think of this step as unneeded, but let me alert you - most advertising business will need you to explain all Safety attributes of your idea, and you could save yourself a long time by doing preparations in advance. Find out more advice by visiting InventHelp Wiki
Step 4 - Demographics and Determining who will Utilize Your Item
Ones you have a clear image of your item and also you worked out all nuances of product style, attempt to determine that will certainly utilize your item, when, and where. Try to ask on your own the adhering to inquiries -
1. What is the age brace of the target market? 2. Is my product developed for Guy, Females, or Both? 3. Where and also when can it be made use of?
Your product is most likely customized for sure sectors (for example, farming); after that think about those that will profit the most from your invention! If your product is designed to collaborate with certain dirt or crops, then you ought to target geographical region rich with preferred features. As one can see, this action needs comprehensive study, preparation, as well as leg job; the advantages, on the other hand, will be payoff satisfying!
Appropriately responding to these questions will assist you properly market your product and also remain abreast of the competition. Also, recognizing the solution to those questions will help you in putting finishing touches on your product. Exactly how? If your item is made for youngsters, then it should be brilliant as well as vibrant. If your item is designed for a chilly environment, you need to stay clear of advertising it in areas where it's warm all year long.
Step 5 - Create Complete or Little Range Design of Your Item
It is exceptionally essential to create a working model off of your concept. Why? By having a real-life design of your idea (or a scaled-down variation of it), will help you to -
1. Determine its constraints as well as provides you a chance to re-think some aspects of your preliminary layout and also make necessary improvements 2. Improve your last style
Along with those things, the last version will certainly help you psychologically. There is no much better feeling than having the ability to physically see and also touch the production of your mind! The truth that you are touching the real-life version of your last style will certainly provide you a positive mental increase equal to no other you've experienced during the design procedure, encouraging you much more to succeed!
As soon as you prepared your version, try to determine what materials will enter right into the building of the real-life product. Will your item be developed of plaster or metal? If metal, after that what kind of metal - is it lightweight aluminum, copper, or some type of alloy? As soon as you establish the essential materials, estimate the manufacturing price since the rate that you'll charge for your item will certainly depend on the production cost of each device. You do not need to be 100% appropriate at this phase with your product options, yet it's great to recognize what materials will enter into the production of your product so that you have a ball-park figure on the last cost of your item.
The best method to approach this step is to attempt as well as make use of a notepad the final version of your product, the method you see it now. Your illustrations ought to show your final idea/product under various angles, in a 2-D and 3-D. The picture could not be rather because not many people have essential illustration abilities. However, this attractive task will assist you profoundly strengthen your style and pinpoint products that you still require to service. Also, I highly advise that you produce your initial item prototype from clay or any other material that is easily available. Why? This model together with initial illustration will assist you to discuss your concept to the technical individual who, subsequently, will change your layout right into a very technical design illustration.
Step 6 - Estimate Cost and also Gross Profit
When you established that will certainly use your product as well as where (or your product's market), it is time to believe "huge" - try to exercise cost/benefit analysis of your product. Below is a case study -
Mary A., a homemaker with 3 little children, designed a plastic bottle holder for babies and also tiny young children. Her bottle owner was designed as if it would hold both the bottles, spoons and also container caps. Mary A. developed countless illustrations of her product as well as with the help of her hubby handled to create a major variation of her product constructed from clay. Before entailing an engineer, Mary A. approximated that her item will be made totally out of plastic. The approximated manufacturing cost of 1 bottle holder is $3.00 (we assume that the factory lies in China and also delivery prices are currently factored into the approximated manufacturing expense). Mary A. did comparative purchasing and established that other sorts of Child Owners are marketing around 15 dollars. Also, Mary learned that three local baby shops each offer 1000 consumers per day (including online purchases); also, each shop calls for a 40% compensations per each acquisition - implying that $6 is paid as a commission to the store for every $15 purchase. Mary A. promptly figured out that her total earnings will be $6 per each container holder ($ 15 - $6 - $3). Assume that one-third of all consumers in each store have either infants or toddlers who still require container owners (roughly 330 customers per shop), Mary A. can create earnings in the quantity of 330 X 3 X 6 = $5940.
Step 7 - Product Advertising
The right advertising technique is necessary for the success of your suggestion. Partnering with an advertising and marketing company that you can trust and also rely upon will pay large rewards over time and also need to not be neglected. What should you find out about marketing firms? The majority of these businesses are split into two groups (I will call them groups An and B) -
Team B: These businesses provide inventors complete flexibility in marketing their suggestions. Inventors pick what to state and also concentrate on highlight locations that they believe are most relevant to their invention. IdeaJets is a market where individuals with suggestions as well as companies who look for sharp minds fulfill. Along with assisting you to find an appropriate partner that can aid you to understand your suggestions as well as desires, IdeaJets likewise brings inventors in contact with various other enthusiastic people to cultivate as well as advertise the society of creativeness as well as success. Since now, IdeaJets is completely complimentary!
Team A: These companies assert that they have particular expertise and inside connections in a broad variety of sectors. In addition to been expensive, numerous firms that belong to this group are implicated in scams, and also the creator must very carefully consider who they are dealing with.

To talk about Twice and villainy is to talk about class and criminality (II)

Poverty and crime in Japan
Despite Japan’s perception as a country with relatively low inequality, that reputation has somewhat suffered as capitalism advanced and the country faced economic downturns in the 1990s and 2000s. Japan still claims a high life expectancy, universal healthcare, and low infant mortality, but conversations about wealth have been ongoing: academic Sugimoto Yoshio records the changing discursive landscape that transformed Japan “from a uniquely homogeneous and uniform society to one of domestic diversity, class differentiation and other multidimensional forms.” Sugimoto describes the increasing discussion of a kakusa shakai, a disparity society, and the emergence of a karyu shakai—the underclass. Since Sugimoto’s article was published in 2010, [source] many issues of this kakusa shakai identified by him and academics from ten-plus years ago have persisted, such as the proliferation of non-regular workers (now comprising 15% of the labor force), [source] the growing wealth inequality being reflected in Japan’s aging population, and the increasing numbers of elderly poor. More recently, increasing attention has been devoted to the issue of child poverty, usually connected to the low incomes of single, working-class mothers. [source] In 2017, Japan’s relative rate of poverty rose to 16.3% (for comparison, the relative rate of poverty in the U.S. declined to 17.3%), and many non-regular workers expressed fears of getting sick and losing their jobs, remarking on their total lack of stability. [source] [source]
Reflecting working-class desperations worldwide, the most common crime in Japan throughout the Heisei era (1989-2019) was theft. Theft, particularly of material goods, should be thought of as a crime of need, arising out of a lack of a particular good and the money to pay for it. It’s a crime that points to a society with unmet needs, and an effort to criminalize those who try to have their needs met through their own power when social institutions refuse to help. It has long been asserted that the “concepts of "crime" are not eternal,” and that “the very nature of crime is social, and is defined by time and by place and by those who have the power to make the definitions.” The contested legality of abortion is a simple illustration of how definitions of “crime” are constantly in flux, constantly debated, and not at all intuitive or self-explanatory. Being able to label an action, a behavior, or a group of people “criminal” or “illegal” is an act of power, and people doing the labeling have a vested interest in determining what “crime” is. Activist Sabina Virgo, source of the previous quotes, elaborates: “The power to define is [...] the power of propaganda. [...] Most of us accept the images and definitions that we have been taught as true, neutral, self-evident, and for always; so the power [...] to define what is right and wrong, what is lawful and what is criminal, is really the power to win the battle for our minds. And to win it without ever having to fight it.” [source]
The choice to inscribe theft as a crime, as an act to be punished, is part of that propaganda. It’s the decision to criminalize poverty and to protect profit over people, rather than rightfully interpreting theft as a symptom of a dysfunctional system. In Japan, this looks like a large percentage of crimes getting committed by the elderly, particularly theft (90% of shoplifting offenders were elderly women), and a large percentage of incarcerated seniors, who by 2018 made up 12% of the prison population; on the other hand, the law is just beginning to address unethical workplace practices like overwork and power harassment, while facing a rising number of reports on domestic and sexual violence—the raw numbers of which are likely even higher than reported. [source] The difference between which acts are ruled criminal, and who gets criminalized for acting, lays stark the difference between the unethical actions undertaken by the powerful, and the criminalized actions undertaken by the powerless; the more an unethical act abides by and benefits entrenched systems of power, the more we are compelled to see it as normal and acceptable, whereas actions, however minuscule, that resist the hegemony of the capitalist class and reject its propaganda end overwhelmingly with more debt and prison time.

Family and class.
The socioeconomic forces that shift our societies are no less felt within the family structure, and family may be one of the first social units to see destabilization. In a world of increasing economic strife, it isn’t uncommon for parents to spend more hours working than at home, or even to travel abroad to provide for their family in their native country, to see traditional norms rewritten as children either move away or continue to live with their parents, as marriage and birth rates rise or fall, and as the elderly are either embraced back into the family structure or left to fend for themselves. Due to generational wealth, family is also often the determining factor for whether or not someone succeeds, to what degree, and with how much effort. Needless to say, when it comes to “class,” the topic of family receives much scrutiny as academics, journalists, and creators delve into the ways our notions of “family” shift according to time, class, and economics.
Consider that in Japan, and de facto in most countries in the world, the first and most important safety net in modern society is the family. “Public social protection schemes are based on the assumption that everyone is supported by family first,” [source] and this includes the assumption of financial assistance, and duties like procuring care for the family’s elderly. The Japanese family registry—the koseki—is a family tree that records births, deaths, and marriages, and is in many ways a codification of the centrality of family, bloodline, and inheritance. [source] When a character like Jin says that he’s “someone without roots,” perhaps our first impulse is to imagine it as a description of emotional relationships, a difficulty he experiences because others can’t relate to him, but it’s not purely an intangible feeling; there are very tangible repercussions to being “unrooted.” Without a stable family, “unrooted” people miss the safety net that family is supposed to be—they miss its protection. Under a system that expects the worst scourges of modernity to be alleviated by the family, this leaves the “unrooted” out in the cold.
These failures on the part of the traditional family structure to account for prosperity, whether it be through generational poverty, through abuse, or through instability and absence, often leads to a restructuring of these bonds. In Japan, “when the economic bubble burst and the recession exposed the illusion of permanent and stable employment for the diligent workforce, the children found that attaining a better living than their parents through hard work and better education was no longer guaranteed,” and once economic success was no longer guaranteed through traditional paths, children’s bonds “shifted to more individualized, voluntary ties.” [source] Of course, shifting economic conditions aren’t the only reason for non-blood-related individuals to come together—many also come from backgrounds of loss or rejection. As a columnist wrote: “Tragedy and suffering have pushed people together in a way that goes deeper than just a convenient living arrangement. They become, as the anthropologists say, “fictive kin.””
Tumblr media
BNHA poignantly embodies these dynamics as Jin tearfully declares that the LOV gave him a “place to belong.” In Japanese, the term used is 居場所 (ibasho), a phrasing which contains the 居 kanji for “residing” or “residence,” as well as “to exist” (it reprises in “I was happy to be (居られて) here” in Jin’s final thoughts). A literal reading could render ibasho as a “place to reside,” or a “place to exist”—something offered only by the friends Jin made, who are a sanctuary from the public that overlooked his alienation, rendering him invisible and denying him existence. For their parts, the other villains are also marked by an ambiguous relationship to their biological family, if not an absence altogether. Himiko and Tomura, whose backstories were touched upon in the same arc, led contentious family lives: Himiko’s parents appeared to regularly condemn their child, and the repeated rebukes that Tomura (Tenko) endured from his father—including an incident of physical assault—resulted in the awakening of Decay and the deaths of his family.
These three were remnants of broken traditional families, scattered and largely isolated across the country. Originally united as a villain group bound loosely by similar goals, they eventually came to rely on each other for survival once the stability of All For One’s hideout and resources were stripped away, leaving them to face a hostile world saturated by incessant policing and villain power struggles. Mutual protection became not only necessary for survival, but necessary for triumph—the League of Villains are consistently shown to be at their best when working as a team, operating on a mixture of communication and even blind trust. Ironically, it’s only when they try to bring outsiders into the fold that the situation goes awry, suggesting that their strength isn’t in numbers or recruitment, but in the relationships they’ve built between one another, relationships that ultimately coalesced under the unpopular worldview that maybe there is nothing wrong with them, but something very wrong with the world. What the readers come to understand is that the LOV are no longer only convenient allies: they can best be understood as a residence for a group of outcasted people with similar experiences and outlooks, who finally found in each other the shelter that traditional family had failed to provide.

Cartoons for Everybody
It is not true that just children take pleasure in cartoons. Cartoons have been showing up in print media as well as television for decades. They are extremely entertaining and also are suitable anxiety busters for the worn grownup. For youngsters, animes can be academic in addition to enjoyable. It holds true that there are some that are violent, those are best prevented. It would certainly make good sense to pick intelligently what you desire your children to see Kids TELEVISION Online.Kids TV Network
Exactly how do they profit your youngsters?
- Some animes carry messages in social understanding. Cartoons almost always have stories that centre round a hero. The hero is always combating evil as well as victories. Happy endings are constantly great to have.
- There are those that develop vocabulary. Kids learn new words as well as enhance in their speech.
- An added advantage is that, those youngsters watching programs like these find out to focus. This helps them focus as well as educates them the ability to follow consecutive episodes.
- They learn life lessons, they discover sharing and exactly how to recognize right from incorrect. They find out that it is not always the large and also the solid who constantly win.
- Animations constantly obtain stored away as terrific memories and those pleased associations are carried appropriate into adulthood.
How do they profit adults?
- Viewing an anime when you're ill in bed is a splendidly recovery exercise. Remember those times when, as a youngster you did precisely that?
- Researches reveal that viewing cartoons lowers the danger of anxiety associated illness in adults. A great laugh launches endorphins in the mind. These endorphins make us really feel far better mentally and physically and are the best de-stressor that money can't purchase.
- Individuals like these find they associate better to kids as well as have a much better understanding of them.
- Obviously, this is a great way to kill time as it keeps individuals out of mischief. The still mind, as they claim, is the devil's workshop!
Throughout the years animes have actually advanced from one dimensional characters on the screen as well as paper to a three dimensional one. Modern technology has made cartoon personalities realistic. Both adults and children connect to the story Children TELEVISION Online.
Anime Vs Cartoons: What's the Difference?
In the "Anime" neighborhood, for most fans as well as fans, "Anime" is "Anime and also "Cartoons" are "Cartoons". For them both of the things are truly different from each various other.
Firstly, many individuals obtain puzzled between an Anime and also an Anime, even if both are animated that doesn't imply that they both are very same. There are a lot of differences in Anime as well as Cartoons. While both are caricatures that might be computer animated, anime generally has visually distinctive functions for characters. So, below I will certainly now clarify the difference in between these 2. Anime are Japanese computer animated production, that are available in various layouts like, television series such as dragon sphere z, Naruto, one piece etc., computer animated brief films, and also full-length films. However animations are two-dimensional illustrated visual art, non-realistic or semi-realistic illustrations.
Anime characters have distinct facial and also physical features that are extremely comparable to truth, their large eyes and tiny mouth are developed due to cuteness. On the various other hand, cartoons physical features are very much from reality than anime. Anime characters additionally reveal various kinds of distinguishable faces whereas animes do not.
Cartoons are normally made to make people laugh, so the style mostly is funny. Yet there are likewise several animes that are academic, showing something good to mainly young children and also youngsters in an enjoyable, interactive way. For example, mickey mouse, Donald duck, pests bunny and so on
. Unlike cartoons, anime does not adhere to just one or more genres. Anime programs and also movies are all based on some sort of story which proceeds through the whole series, for instance, bleach, one item, Naruto, etc. Anime is based upon real-life problems or something that are closer to human feelings and also have a lot more categories than cartoons such as, dramatization, school life, slice of life, love, activity, and so on
. However if you check out both of them as different entities, or as same, you will not be able to locate a clear difference between the two, which is why a lot of the people get puzzled in between both and wind up calling anime as well as animes are very same Children TELEVISION Online.
The initial animation was stated to be generated in 1499. It depicted the pope, holy Roman emperor, and the king of France as well as England playing the game of cards. However, Japanese animation began in the very early 20's, when Japanese filmmakers were trying out various methods. By 1930s, as an alternative to the live activity sector, computer animation was established.
As anime are two-dimensional numbers drawn and utilized in animations, as caricatures in papers, and also publications. If we were to define what Anime is after that the basic suggestion of several of the common as well as agreed upon notions would certainly be "Japanese, animation, vibrant layouts, as well as hand-drawn" would certainly be primary buzzwords.
Today, Anime only appears to refer "animations just from Japan" to make it extra understandable for individuals. After all this is human nature to like the important things which are conveniently understandable and conveniently categorized.
To make the distinction more clear, let's take the example of the tom as well as jerry and dragon sphere z. So, you may believe what's the difference in between both when they both are computer animated and have excellent visuals, histories, sound impacts as well as even the computer animated drawings behave. But, there are lots of distinctions in them which differentiate them from anime to animation. Like, their principles are absolutely different, as you know every episode of tom as well as Jerry is various as well as is not associated with any of the previous episode or continuing some sort of tale from a point but in dragon sphere z every episode is connected to the previous one, and proceed the story from where it stopped in the previous episode. And their categories are various too, as tom and also Jerry is purely based upon a pet cat and also mouse battle and made to make people laugh and their watch time enjoyable. On the various other hand, dragon sphere z is sort of a journey of a saiyan to conserve the Planet and also the universe from several dangers, he defends conserving every person, with the aid of his family members, close friends and fellow saiyans. Dragon ball z is can be categorized in various categories, like activity, experience, comedy, very power, etc
. An additional thing in which some individuals may unique anime as well as cartoon would certainly be that cartoons are for youngsters whereas reach of anime can be extended to many various other age and other locations Kids TV Online.
However what I believe is, cartoons are not simply children product, because as we can see in the newspapers, as well as on television also, there are many cartoons containing as well as targeting lots of political, spiritual sights. Most of these messages are concealed as well as indistinguishable for kids, to ensure that grownups can appreciate viewing them with youngsters. Whereas some of the anime consists of high grown-up material and thus are not secure or good for little kids to see. Those type of anime are made completely concentrating on adult target market. But there are likewise some anime collection which are definitely risk-free to enjoy with children. However nowadays, even normal anime's might have some scenes which are not meant to be enjoyed by kids.
So, I think, where cartoons are secure for kids to see, anime shouldn't be thought about secure sufficient for them. But despite just how old you obtain, you can still appreciate it as it is.
I really feel that, anime has much deeper thought in them, well created characters, broad story-line, a solid style, sensible background animation, the real world scenarios, discussions, expressions, etc. all of these things bound us together to view all the episodes (whether there are 12 or 24 or more than a thousand of episodes) of the anime collection. Whereas on the various other hand, animes, regardless of whether they are telling a story or simply going for funny, have superficial characters and themes.

He does a terrific work of introducing animation results as well as devices. Those are the kinds of things that make animes enjoyable and bring them to life, like the wavy lines appearing of a piece of pizza, to show that it smells excellent. Or the lines on a pool of water or a mirror, to reveal they are reflective. And also one of the most enjoyable of all, those little grains of sweat or activity lines, like when someone has actually just thrown a sphere Children TELEVISION Online.
There is also a great deal of mention on just how to create cartoons, consisting of how to lay them out, invent jokes, as well as do your lettering. For kids who wish to attempt their hand at superhero-type comics, he covers different means to make your male go from dopey to wonderful, from absolutely no to hero. Likewise included are numerous positions you might utilize, like training, taking off, flying, and also boxing.

The writer is a Disney-trained musician, so it's a perfect recommendation if you like that design. Yet it too covers every little thing from expressions and also drawing action presents, to cartoon format.
One specific area I such as is exactly how to attract your animes from various camera angles, like way down reduced. That way, if you are trying to attract something from the viewpoint of a very tiny character, like a computer mouse seeking out at an individual, you can obtain an excellent funny aim to your job.
Art for Children: Cartooning: The Only Cartooning Book You'll Ever Need to Be the Artist You have actually Constantly Intended to Be motivates youngsters to try out various techniques to obtain their own designs. 8 Memorable Youngsters' Anime Adaptations to Motion Picture
When a well enjoyed children's TV series makes the change from the little to the hollywood it normally spells a break from tradition and also an attempt to interest an entire new target market. Computer animation resorts to live activity, rough-and-ready image resorts to CGI, obscure commentary artists are replaced by prominent Hollywood stars as well as puppets are switched for real-life actors. To commemorate the incredible brand-new film of eponymous cult TELEVISION series Stories of the Riverbank [talesoftheriverbank.co.uk/ trailer], here are some motion picture gems that really improve their kids' TELEVISION starts, and also some stinkers that ought to have adhered to what they're best at:
Garfield (2004 )
On the one hand, Bill Murray seems like he's constantly been the voice of Garfield - his effortlessly sarcastic wit seems completely suited to the lasagne addicted fat feline. On the various other, pretty much whatever else regarding this movie sucks. The performing's not up to much and also the animation's nothing short of tragic. The initial comic strip as well as anime series didn't endeavor to far from Garfield's litter tray, so this attempt to stretch things to more than an hour just ends up a mess.
Little understood fact: Bill Murray recorded a lot of his audio for this in Italy while shooting "The Life Aquatic" on a watercraft.
Authorities Garfield website - garfield.com/.
Tales of the Riverbank (2008 ).
Though not a cartoon, this new motion picture is absolutely worth a mention: when Johnny Morris initially placed his voice to these shore pets in the 1959 TELEVISION collection of the same name, it could have been debatable. However it turned out that making pets appear like they were chatting was a huge success. Today the adorable Hammy Hamster once more joins GP, Owl as well as buddies in a fracturing feature length waterfront prance. With a winning, British voice actors and also an innocently jolly story, this motion picture is set to become a company family members favourite. Little understood fact: In the '60s TV program, the animals were adjusted to look like they were speaking utilizing peanut butter on the roofing of their mouth.
Official Website - talesoftheriverbank.co.uk/ trailer. TOTR on IMDB - imdb.com/title/tt1043748/.
Teen Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990 ).
There were the Samurai Pizza Cats and after that there were the Bicycle Rider Computer Mice from Mars - yet both were bad copies of what was undoubtedly the supreme animal/mutant based cartoon activity collection embeded in a drain ... including a speaking rat. "Teen Mutant Ninja Turtles" was a computer animated TELEVISION show in the 80s, a trilogy of live-action films in the 90s as well as more lately a computer system cartoon animation (TNMT). The films are mainly dreadful - however watch out for an instead snazzy-looking Vanilla Ice in Adolescent Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Glop. Traditional. Little recognized fact: In the UK the TELEVISION series was called Adolescent Mutant Hero Turtles as the word "ninja" was considered as well terrible.
Scooby Doo (2002 ).
Among the much better remakes, this is about as close as you're going to get to the original collection without returning to full animation. All the one linings are there, as are all the trademarks that made the original such a smash hit. There's additionally a healthy and balanced dosage of self mockery to make certain the grown-ups can enjoy it as high as children. Any person that located Scrappy Doo more than a little bothersome in the original will enjoy the spin at the end. The only secret that still remains is this - what worldwide IS a Scooby Snack ?? Little recognize truth: In a very early version of the film, a certain Jim Carrey was connected to play Shaggy.
Official Scooby site - warnerbros.com/sd_brand/index.html.
Thunderbirds (2004 ).
The initial puppets had lots much more magic and also personal appeal than the 'live' actors in this substandard remake. Creator of the initial TELEVISION series, Gerry Anderson, also contradicted a $750,000 deal to write an endorsement of the film for its launch. A substantial flop. Enough stated.
Little bit understood truth: The motion picture is routed by Jonathan Frakes that played Riker in Celebrity Trip.
Flintstones (1994 ).
Translating a computer animated classic right into a live-action film using the real world actors isn't always simple. Perhaps the most essential item of the jigsaw is the spreading. In the case of 1994's Flintstones they soooo really nearly got it right. John Goodman as Fred Flintstone - place on. Elizabeth Perkins as Wilma - made for the duty. Rick Moranis as Barney Rubble - all good. Rosie O'Donnell as Betty Debris? - Um ... intriguing. At the very least the sound-track (courtesy of the BC52s) appears wonderful!
Little bit recognized fact: Halle Berry plays a character called Sharon Stone (obtain it!?).
Transformers (2007 ).
Hardcore Transformers fans who bear in mind the 1980s hit cartoon show may really feel a little peeved that, in a separation from the original collection, Spielberg as well as co. have decided to opt for some more modern-day automobiles. So Bumble-bee's no longer a huge yellow VW Beetle! Boo! Nevertheless, those that can not bear in mind the initial (virtually anybody under the age of 30) will enjoy the continuous robo-action.
Bit understood fact: The 1986 "Transformers the Movie" was one of Orson Welles last ever movies - one of his very first was Person Kane.
Tom and also Jerry the Granddaddy of Kids Cartoon Movies.
Everyone has their very own preferred animation flick or tv show; as a matter of fact animations are now a big component of a youngster's very early years as well as in addition to enjoyable to adults too. If you were young in the 60's, 70's or 80's after that you'll have been lucky sufficient to have actually enjoyed the initial hand attracted animated standards, like the Flintstones, The Jetsons or among the most prominent as well as lengthiest running, Tom and Jerry.
The Tom as well as Jerry reveal begun as a TV series and then took place to become a number of feature movies; it has been running given that the 40's and also has because won 7 different Oscar awards for ideal animated short. Back then you needed to await the program to come on at a specific time, though today were fortunate enough to be able to purchase a Tom and also Jerry DVD set anytime we like and also relive the magic in our very own houses.
The characters are easy Tom a troublesome house cat with a preference for mice and also Jerry a reluctant mouse with a kind heart; both are friends at heart, however constantly wind up attempting to win one over on each various other generally with Jerry winning the day. The simple as well as funny slapstick comedy of this crazy duo is what's made it so popular in nations around the world; you'll find the preferred films playing in practically any kind of resort area on all continents.
So where did it all start? Most individuals do not understand that Tom and also Jerry has had more than one maker in over 50 years of broadcast; the initial 2 were the gifted William Hanna and Joseph Barbara. They came to the MGM workshops in the 40's with their concept and Tom as well as Jerry became a reality in individuals's houses. After a brief time the program was reduced and the team broke up until the 1960's when MGM made a decision to reboot the project, they hired Gene Deitch for 2 years, but his eccentric imagination didn't mix well with the program. In 1963 the workshops employed a new director Chuck Jones who became the next creator of the motion pictures.
An instance of an especially excellent film is the magic ring which came out in 2002, it was composed and also routed by both of the original makers as well as additionally worked together on by Chuck Jones. If you're a fanatic of the lovable pet cat and also mouse duo after that you'll love this movie, it would certainly also be a wonderful introduction to the personalities for your very own youngsters.

I have a constant feeling of exhaustion and boredom. This situation affects my prayers negatively. What could be the reason or reasons for them and what would you advise me to do as a solution?
Unlike bodily disorders, the causes of spiritual distress may not be the same in everyone. They can be different for each person; it can vary from person to person.
For example, the cause of diseases such as diabetes, kidney failure and cancer can be the same or similar for everyone in general while boredom, “world-weariness” and depression, etc. can vary from person to person. For, any spiritual distress is closely related to the person's age, gender, profession, marital status, personality structure, education, financial condition, faith, childhood, traumatic events he underwent and family structure.
In addition, whether this feeling, which you describe as "boredom" and "exhaustion”, occurs all the time or from time to time changes many things in terms of diagnosis.
Therefore, it is not possible to tell the exact cause of this state of boredom that you feel without knowing you closely. In this case, it is also difficult to give a specific prescription.
However, we will focus on possible general causes and suggestions for solutions to the feelings of boredom and exhaustion that people can sometimes feel. Insallah, it will be useful to you as well.
The main causes of boredom
By nature, man is a being equipped with very sensitive faculties and emotions.
Also “By nature man is extremely weak, yet everything touches him, and saddens and grieves him. Also he is utterly lacking in power, yet the calamities and enemies that afflict him are extremely numerous. Also he is extremely wanting, yet his needs are indeed many. Also he is lazy and incapable, yet life’s responsibilities are most burdensome. Also his humanity has connected him to the rest of the universe, yet the decline and disappearance of the things he loves and with which he is familiar continually pains him. Also his reason shows him exalted aims and lasting fruits, yet his hand is short, his life brief, his power slight, and his patience little.”
Thus, the struggle of a weak human being with the life of the world sometimes consumes his energy in terms of spirit and physique. The person feels emotionally and physically that he or she is experiencing a burnout syndrome; his or her interest in working, traveling and other blessings of life diminishes, and he or she loses his or her motivation.
Along with his weakness, man is also a very sensitive being.
Because of this sensitivity, man is very concerned with his environment and events; and this can cause him to feel spiritually tired and exhausted. People who are particularly sensitive and compassionate sometimes feel compelled to grapple with material and spiritual problems more than usual or try to help everyone's problems. During this process, they naturally become tired and exhausted.
In addition, man is a social being.
His creator coded him in a way to live with someone from the opposite gender in the community, to share life and every beauty together. Therefore, people who are single, divorced or separated, or those whose spouses have died may also experience boredom and inability to enjoy life.
For people who do not believe in Allah and the Day of Judgement or who have a weak faith, life and living are meaningless. For them, life has no meaning after a certain point of satisfaction. Thus, life that is meaningless gives people boredom and exhaustion.
For these reasons and similar ones, if no solution to the problem of boredom and exhaustion is found, emotions become chronic and permanent. In this case, indifference to events, boredom and escaping from people begin. It also becomes difficult for a person to act to change their condition. The person who is in this mood becomes skeptical of himself and assumes attitudes and thoughts that will evaluate him negatively.
Remedies and solutions
For the solution, first of all, it is important for the person to make sense of the spiritual situation in a spiritual point of view and to look at life through a new perspective.
In addition, it is beneficial for him to be included in religious, cultural and social activities that will add meaning to his life as they add new excitements and color to life.
In addition, he or she needs to rest a bit and get rid of her responsibilities and spiritual burdens.
To give emotions and thoughts a suitable direction appropriate for creation and to eb able transforming the distress into an opportunity for the purpose of life
As long as it is not continuous, the state of boredom experienced in a certain period of life is actually something that can happen to everybody. For, a person has a very rich treasure of feelings but Allah has not limited these feelings. Since man is not a robot, he cannot fix his emotions. Besides, since he is in the world of testing, he can be blown to the left and right with the whispers of the soul and the devil.
Whatever the reason, when feelings are experienced at the extreme level, it can also cause a variety of spiritual problems by capturing the mind from time to time and enslaving the person. However, Allah has drawn the framework of being a peaceful person by introducing certain measures about how much to be happy and sad or to love, and to get angry for what. The way to achieve this is to train the feelings as He showed them and turn them into behavior in a nice way.
In the same way, man, who is created to maintain the moderate way in everything, finds peace by directing his thoughts and feelings in the face of events and phenomena that seem negative about him and his environment.
To do this, it is necessary to look at the misfortunes and troubles through the window of destiny. For, as the world is not unattended, the events that happen to man and his close environment are not the events that happen without wisdom, without reason, and by chance. The duty of a believer is to see the trace, mercy, affection, compassion and justice of fate behind the events and to show patience.
A calamity that happens to a person is to make him think and repent of his own mistake and sin, and to try to be closer to Allah, his Creator.
For this reason, even if some problems seemingly aggravate the burden of life, it is actually an opportunity to gain eternal life, to be closer to Him, and to gain his consent. For, in such times, the desire of man toward the pleasures and sins of the world decreases; thus, he remains in a purer state spiritually. That makes him close to Allah.
The story of Prophet Yunus (peace be upon him) is a good example of it. The people of Nineveh did not obey him and left him alone; those on the ship that he embarked regarded him as sinful and threw him into the sea, and the fish swallowed him. In other words, he was both abandoned, thrown and swallowed, just as the events swallow us in our lives, people leave us alone, and our soul throws us into the sea of sin. However, this event is also the salvation of Prophet Yunus (Jonah). He prayed to Allah with complete surrender because he felt his incapability, weakness and impotence. Allah accepted his prayer and took him to the shore safely, and gave mercy and faith to the hearts of the people of Nineveh and guided them.
As it is seen, although the story of Yunus seems like a distressing and boring event at first glance, it turns into beauties about him, leading to mercy and compassion. Our task is to make an effort to use this opportunity as a better occasion through prayers and taking refuge in Allah.
The remorse that is felt after sins and big mistakes should not turn into a punishment for the person.
Another point to note here is as follows:
People feel severely guilty when they commit a sin or make a big mistake. They want to relax their conscience by punishing themselves with the guidance of the subconscious. This punishment can sometimes be in the form of condemning themselves to unhappiness, sometimes in the form of turning away from the blessings of life.
In short, the boredom that one feels may also be a punishment that he or she has inflicted on himself or herself.
However, the punishment that the person will impose on himself will not cause his sin to be forgiven in any way because it is only Allah who forgives sins. The feeling of regret and conscientious discomfort given to man in the face of sins is an invitation sent by Allah to the servants, an invitation to be close to him and take refuge in Him. After seeing his own fault and deficiency related to sins and mistakes, that is, after taking some responsibility, looking at the share of fate for the rest and trying to be closer to Allah will comfort the person much better.
Carl Gustav Jung, who is a healthy and religious psychiatrist, says: “The happiest moments in my life are the moments of contact with my inner world.” That is, my penitence, my repentance and seeking refuge in Allah.
It is normal and perhaps good that the pleasures taken from worship are reduced at this stage.
It is normal that the pleasures taken from worship are reduced at this stage because there is a freezing of emotions here; they need time to open up and warm up.
In addition, it should not be forgotten that not takin pleasure from worship, even if it is spiritual, is more suitable for sincerity because the pleasures of worship serve as encouragement for the soul. Therefore, some Islamic scholars considered the pleasures taken from worship as risky.
The important thing is that you do not allow Satan to take advantage of this situation and to make you suffer from delusions. Indeed, some of the saints of Allah experienced the state of freezing of these feelings called “spiritual constipation” from time to time, and patiently sought refuge in Allah much more.
To make our life meaningful by thinking of the purpose of life and turning every situation we encounter into profit.
One reason that bothers modern man and makes him feel tired of life is that he cannot fully realize the meaning of life. According to him, the purpose of being in this world is only to enjoy the beauties and pleasures of world life. It makes no sense to live when the person cannot have them for various reasons because if he is here to enjoy and have fun, there is no point in living without them. This thought makes him feel tired of life.
What a believer has to do about it is to question the purpose of his life again.
This purpose is doing things that will gain man the consent of Allah and to strive to be a perfect person as the Qur'an shows. The state of boredom and exhaustion is a test suitable for this purpose and is an occasion to gain His consent.
If the person is fully aware of this purpose, no hardness in the world will break his enthusiasm; on the contrary, he will endeavor to earn his eternal life with greater effort.
Such a person knows that nothing he has done will be wasted, and he will receive the reward in the hereafter. When life becomes a field of the hereafter for him then, he will look for ways to turn every form into an opportunity and send more supplies to his or her hereafter.
That is when life, its misfortunes, beauties, in short, everything will be more meaningful. What is meaningful does not make people bored ...
In this context, if your work seems monotonous or boring, it is normal to give you boredom because they do not mean much to you. To overcome this, if it is not possible to change your job, it is possible to solve this problem with manual skills, new professions and occupations by participating in various personal development courses that will make sense to you.
Again, in this context, you can make your life even more meaningful by working with social aid organizations, helping students and the poor, giving people good and useful information, and focusing on your prayers.
When you turn back and look back on such a day, it will make you more peaceful to see your mortal life pass in a profitable way for the Hereafter.
During the day, do your best to have friendly chats and conversations with family members or friends. Chatting with close friends is among the things that relax the soul and gives dynamism.
Play sports. What people give up first when they are busy is sports whereas regular sports make it easier to deal with stress. Even when you take a short walk, you will immediately see the benefits; the next day your body will be more fit and your soul will relax.

Jewels, a Simple Question of Vanity?
The records of jewelry throughout  Jewellery Design Competition time is not so much an account of human arrogance than a mirrored image of the evolution of human societies and the urge of human beings to create symbols and beauty.
Jewels across time
There are signs and symptoms that humans had been sporting jewels from very early times on as private adornment. Originally, these were made of materials easily to be had in nature which include shells, animal bones or enamel. With time humans learnt to paintings with exceptional stones and metals, such as gold and gem stones that had been particularly valued in rings. Our ancestors had been highly talented jewelers and the splendor and beauty of the antique jewels nevertheless fascinates us as simply confirmed by way of the interest proven for jewel shows in museums or for itinerary exhibitions on as an example the Gold of the Incas or the treasures from Egyptians tombs.
With the use of valuable metals like gold or gem stones like diamonds, jewels became tangible signs and symptoms of wealth, energy and societal order. At extraordinary instances, like within the Middle Age, legal guidelines were surpassed as to who was allowed to wear jewels, which in itself illustrates the social significance connected to jewels.
The idea of crown jewels was created within the Renaissance duration where the French King, Francois 1st declared eight excellent pieces to be inalienable heirlooms of French kings.Similar law in other countries soon laid the ground for the treasures of the European Royal families.
19th and 20th century, a turning factor
The use and significance of jewels changed substantially inside the 19th century due to social, technological and cultural elements.
A new social code - Until then men wear just as sumptuous jewels as ladies did. Likewise they had valuable stones, pearls, gold and silver threads sawed into their garments. However, around the 19th century the social code required a greater sober dress code for guys. Furthermore, across the equal length, a miles sharper differentiation become delivered between day and night jewels, the most sumptuous being reserved for evenings and galas.
A new generation - The commercial revolution made it viable to mass produce jewels of excessive- as well as low-exceptional, hence putting rings inside the economic draw close of a far larger phase of the population. This in flip caused a extra relaxed relation to jewels acquired at a lower cost and effortlessly changed via new collections for a speedy converting fashion.
The modern way of life - The Art Nouveau movement and the 1900 World Exhibition marked a brand new era wherein layout and creativity are prized above material price, as a consequence shifting the emphasis of the jeweler's art from the setting of stones to the artistic layout. This marked the beginning of what's now known as artwork earrings as opposed to standard jewelry.
During the Art Deco duration Coco Chanel substantially popularized costume jewelry as ornamentation to supplement a selected elegant gown or garment. Those dress jewels frequently product of non precious material and mass-produced marked the start of an technology of disposable jewels that are fashionable for a quick time frame and fast previous through a new fashion style.
One cannot point out layout without citing the Danish Design. This revolutionary motion is characterized by way of quite awesome sober round traces of remarkable esthetic high-quality and a predilection for silver. Georg Jensen is the maximum emblematic determine, however simply now not the simplest renowned name. Danish Design had a huge have an effect on inside the rest of Europe and inside the US and laid the ground for plenty experimental jewels in the Sixties an Seventies.
Jewel design did now not only experimented with new forms and new fabric - including cheap substances like aluminum, plastic, paper, nylon, however haute-couture designers consisting of Coco Chanel, as cited above, and renowned artists like Salvador Dali, Picasso or Max Ernst made a giant contribution to innovation in that subject. This paintings challenged constricting conventions and truly blurred the limits between jewelry, style and first-rate arts.
Jewels these days and the next day
Jewels are simply appealing these days as they were inside the past. It is not feasible at this point to assume what the 21st century will bring as novelty. However, looking at what's taking place these days may give us a touch as to dispositions.
Art jewels
One of the symptoms of the ongoing monetary and cultural significance of jewels in current society is the once a year Copenhagen Jewellery Fair that is Scandinavian biggest earrings and watch fair. This yr, the royal safety of the fair, Princess Marie, delivered the prize to the winder of the "Bella Nordic Jewellery Award", that may be taken into consideration as that Nordic competition for jewelers.
Though, faraway from that glamour, you may discover many small jewel designers' ateliers scattered throughout Denmark. There, you may locate beautiful unique jewels created by way of gifted humans with a ardour for his or her craft and presenting a extraordinary diversity of design and recognition.
Home-made jewels
The high fee of best jewels has paved the manner for a "do it yourself" movement. There is pretty a good sized quantity of physical or virtual shops had been private customers should buy jewels components that they could then assembled to make jewels for themselves or others. Those stores had been till now be a profitable business, but there are actually signal that the marked is coming to saturation and opposition is becoming harder.
Jewels, consumption society and recycling
As mentioned earlier, jewels are a mirrored image of societal trends. On one facet mass manufacturing with cheap substances has intended a huge provide of jewels that everybody can find the money for. Those jewels have emerge as normal objects of intake for use and discarded without a second notion
As a response to this "waste society" recycling has emerge as a sturdy societal movement. Waste cloth, even trash, is used to new creations, consisting of jewels. Those are in keeping with definition particular pieces popping out of the designer's creativeness and bought at prices substantially fluctuating with the popularity of the dressmaker.
Jewels for guys
While there seems to be no restrict of length, shade and composition in ladies's jewels, the provide and use of men's jewelry is comparatively pretty restrained. It is hard to say whether or not that is because of men themselves, to societal norms on what a person can put on or due to the lack of interest and creativity at the a part of the designers. It is though increasingly prevalent for men to wear earrings, which might be a signal that conventions and taste are changing.
Jewelry - an eternal love story
Jewels have observed people at some stage in a while and feature had a social and cultural position that has developed hand in hand with societies. In our complex modern society jewels, in a single shape or every other, are low priced to all layers of society and are used as alerts on attitudes, lifestyles and belonging. The cultural importance of jewels is tough to determine in view of the brilliant offer and diversity of jewels from the cheap mass-produced to the greatest specific pieces. As Clare Phillips1 states "What remains real now, as for the duration of the a while, is that rings at its greatest has the strength to fascinate and inspire - that is the top function of artwork at its quality in any of its many manifestations." It can then be conclude with none doubt that, yes, jewels are an awful lot more than an expression of human conceitedness.
