They are literally scanning our faces every time we are on the internet. Putting a photo of your full face onto instagram and whatnot is basically handing them your facial identity on a silver platter although they get it too just by illegally scanning your face whenever you are sitting there on your phone and/or computer. Wearing a mask out in public helps keep our identity safe from getting scanned by electronic vehicles and other devices, but doing so on the internet also helps with this.

And be nice to others on the internet for fuck's sake. Be kind.
