“Then one day we had a great panic about the new Beatles’ album [‘The Beatles’ aka the White Album]. Good job George was there on hand as it turns out. What happened was this. Capitol had started to make the master records but as soon as George heard their version he realized they’d done all sorts of technical things to it that altered half the effects! It’s called ‘compressing’ and ‘limiting.’ Anyway they had done it all wrong and if George had not heard it in time, taken the tape away to work on it himself and returned it the way it should be the American LP records might have been a bit of a mess! It was a lot of work for George but worthwhile.” - Mal Evans, The Beatles Monthly, January 1969 (x)

When Geoff Emerick quit on July 15th 1968 due to the tense situation in the studio
About Ob La Di Ob La Da Sessions: "This was a McCartney composition that Lennon openly and vocally detested,” engineer Geoff Emerick asserts, adding that John viewed this song as “more of Paul's 'granny music sh*t'.” In his book “Here, There And Everywhere,” Geoff Emerick explained the atmosphere in the studio during the making of this album: “These days, the two former close friends and songwriting partners expressed little but disdain for each others' contributions; in fact, it seemed that whenever one would even bother to offer a suggestion to the other, it would be rejected out of hand, even if it was a good one. Paul and John weren't having legitimate musical differences; instead, they seemed to be saying, 'I don't like what you're suggesting because I don't like you.' They weren't necessarily angry at each other, but you could see that both were highly frustrated, and Yoko's constant presence certainly wasn't helping matters any. As a result, within what had once been a close-knit group, there was no longer any sense of team or unity; any camaraderie that had once been there had now simply vanished.”

The other ask readings have made me curious… and I think your reading might add a whole new perspective to this but what was Paul going through during the white album? There was a lot of tension in the band during that time I just wonder where it was coming from
Hi! Thank you for your interest in my readings ❤️.
Well, for your ask, I made two questions. I wanted to have both Paul’s and Beatles’ insights.
This is for entertainment purposes only.

What was going through Paul’s mind during The White Album?
The cards start telling me about a decision that Paul reflected for a long time. He was about to do something about it but felt completely blocked. He had to “sacrifice” and “regret” about doing what he wanted to do. So he tried to put himself in order (after doing the reading, I thought about “growing up”) and I think he wasn’t thinking at all with his head. He was very impulsive and naive, and was thinking constantly about his feelings, his elections. He was looking for a way to be “successful”, recognised in that area. But it was like he knew that he had to leave something to get there. Was he 100% sure about what he was going to do? No. Because it was like all these reflections weren’t coming from his heart, but his mind, his passions. He may had proposed something to someone, but it was like this person wasn’t understanding him, and didn’t give him what he wanted. Again, he felt like his heart was completely broken, alone, lost. With all his willpower, he tried again to fight for this feeling. And he found it. When he found someone that he could actually talk about something, and made him happy, he kept her. It was like he almost got obsessed with the idea of being with her. He loved her. But again, he wasn’t 100% sure of this. It was like they could broke up in any moment, but this time, this person was different. He saw her as a very powerful, dominant person. So he couldn’t “trick” her so easily. So it was like, “here I am, with her”. I think in that moment was where Paul REALLY fight for this relationship. He knew that while fighting for this, a part of him would broke, but he thought, that this would finally give him the “status” that he wanted. How he really wanted to be seen. He would have some “power”. Also, in this moment Paul felt that one part of him was fighting to stay, but other part left a long ago.
Why there was so much tension in the band during the White Album?
I think during this moment, it had to be one of the first times where the four wondered themselves about the future of the band. They didn’t exactly know If they would continue, but they did it because of their friendship, how much they loved to record together. I think they thought that love would be enough to keep things going, but realised it wasn’t. I think they tried to keep going anyways, trying any kind of tricks (innovation, ideas) to have what they wanted. But looking through their eyes, it was like it wasn’t enough, it was like they were trying to keep going and have this element that they were missing so much. To fill the space of this element they tried to have “another one”, but this person (s) or elements, If you will, they weren’t with them for the same reasons they wanted it. I think one of the parts of the Beatles were satisfied with this new person/element, but he couldn’t see that other part (s) weren’t very happy about it. It was like “what is he doing?”. I think this element/person would meant a sort of “spicy”/innovative option, but never was anything really. I think there was a lot of effort in one part of the Beatles, to be more impartial and actually do something, but it was like he/they could sense that they were in deep shit. I think he/they were very naive and did very rushed decisions.
I hope you liked the answers. As for me, I felt very sad in the second one 😢.
