I already thought about some things to change but I don't know if I'm willing to do this again.

I hate the cpunk discourse more than anything, but I think it deserves to be said that a large group of physically disabled people are not, excuse me for saying this, "crippled". There are those who are not amputated, don't need mobility aids, who don't have chronic illnesses, etc. and are still physically disabled.

And I say this as a person who doesn't use a mobility aid and walks fine and the disability that causes me to be physically debilitated is not my physical disability. My mental disability causes much more physical struggle than my physical disability ever will.

And that deserves to be said. I wish people would maybe understand the line between physical and mental disability is thin as a sheet of paper and translucent as a pane of glass. But, I feel like being with my physical disability, I'm not allowed to use the c word or be a part of cpunk, even if I technically would be allowed.

So, even if I am a part of this group, technically, I am much more disabled by my mental disabilities and that is so real. And honestly, I feel like I'm gonna be called all types of shit, that yeah, I should fuck off and never use this word. But it doesn't change the fact that it's not applicable to all physically disabled people. And I'm calling that shit out because it's stupid.

can i be fr for a minute?? sending abuse to people online for holding different views than you is not activism and in fact actively hurts your cause. most people are not extreme in their viewpoints, you can give them a new perspective if you're willing to spend some time explaining shit. if someone is saying something you disagree with and you rush in there to condescend to them and call them disgusting and subhuman and dont even TRY to explain calmly why their views are harmful, they're going to shut you out instantly and double down on their views.

most people are simply genuinely ignorant to the issues they're talking about - they just pick their views up from the news and the world around them and express opinions because that's what every person does. if you run in there and tell them they're scum for it, what then? if someone does that to you, are you going to think "maybe i should do some research" or are you going to think "this person is an asshole, im blocking them." a lot of you think you're activists and then refuse to do any kind of actual WORK to support your cause.
