she doesn't hate people, but her body language and facial expressions are misinterpreted as agitation, anger and/or coldness.

this results in most of her classmates staying away from her and rendering her an unpopular member of her class.

however, with the autistic quirk of it being easier to socialise with those outside your age group, Kirie forms a strong friendship with the popular girl she has a crush on by mistaking her as her little sister (if you haven't watched the show, just roll with it).

this is not only a great win for the gays, but also for all the autistic teens growing up struggling with poor self-esteem because of their struggles with social interactions and friendships.

this is because, although Kirie eventually befriends her crush whilst knowing it is her, she assumes that she is her least valued friend due to their opposite levels of popularity, social awkwardness, and being what she believes to be "boring" (Kirie is shy and secretive about her hobbies, doesn't invest in her appearance as much as her crush and her friend group do, and struggles to adequately participate in group conversations).

however, in reality, Kirie is the only friend her crush is her true self with (the fake little sister friendship i was talking about) that she actively hides from others, meaning that arguably Kirie is actually her crush's closest and most valuable friend.

moreover, it is Kirie's autistic propensity to not adhere to arbitrary social norms and judge those that fall outside of them that is foundational to why she is a safe space for her crush to interact with her without hiding the traits she believes people will dislike her for (e.g, being heavily preoccupied with and invested in otaku interests, preferring to wear loose comfy clothing, preferring to eat simple foods, preferring familiar activities over new ones, speaking and acting impulsively, experiencing social fatigue etc…).

and if you've read those traits and thought 'hmmm, those sound familiar' - you are right! - because Kirie's crush is also heavily autistic coded but, unlike Kirie, is particularly skilled at masking (so good at masking, the mask and the masker acquire the roles of siblings, apparently).

so, not only is Kirie an example of an autistic person who worries that their traits prevent them from true friendships when they actually have done the opposite, but she is also a catalyst to the showcasing of autistic comradery, self-love, and homosexuality.

Edomae Elf really suprised me after the first episode. I expected it to be a show around the level of Umaru-chan where we are just meant to marvel at the cutness of being a shut-in dumbsterfire, but the subtle themes of a changing world? Contemplations on mortality and what it means to live forever? Finding an anchor in things that remain unchanged? Like what are these deep-ass themes doing in my comedy slice of life, count me in. Still confused why elfs of all things, but it sort of fits? Like maybe the reverse isekai scenario and the most traditional enviorment possible (shinto shrine) clashing is really on theme.

fun fact most, if not all of my ocs are queer as fuck.

olivia is aromantic and has been an ally for years before she realized it! she's also pretty gnc and likes to toy with her gender expressions while staying a cis girl

umaru is a trans man (manfred barred him from transition for years but he speedran all phases of it while studying in europe to be a prosecutor), also he's very much bisexual, see his painful crush on mvk that died in silence and his love for lana skye

hanma is bisexual and is so so so femme that despite her being a cis woman it circles back to being queer as fuck

sean is literally a nonbinary butch lesbian who lived the better half of their life as a trans man idk what else do I need to say here

basil never thought about it and he can be kind of queerphobic because he's not educated about the community but he's basically enemy-sexual (probably pan)

i have a side character I used in two cases called redhead, that's not his actual legal name, but she doesn't reveal her "real" name and introduces himself as just redhead, he's a he/she bigender and I don't even know or establish what her agab is because fuck that

if I start going through my aa ocs we'll be here all day so why don't we talk about my completely original characters

in project David like 3/4 out of the main 4 are genderqueer, Glenda is nonbinary and uses they/them (while being nearly fifty years old btw), Louis is a transmasc bigender who uses he/she and visibly appears as a man, not disclosing her "female" side to most people in fear of being seen only as a woman again, and Elis is a trans woman, well, not Exactly a woman but woman is the closest, a nonbinary transfem that uses she/her. and Dan is a bi cis dude (that can change though. my transfem friend sees Dan as an egg)

my collegeverse ocs literally consist of sapphics and an enby god, Loren, a pronoun fluid genderfluid who mostly uses she her and is butch in a fixing cars way, Mag, a lesbian that's been repressed for many many years and finally allows herself to change and let herself be who she is, gaining weight, getting with a girl and changing her gender expression, butch in a suit and tie way; Eve, a pan trans girl and Megumi, her bi girl best friend; and also Arc, an agender person (or is it a person) who uses it/its and may or may not be a deity

god I love queerness.

and yeah over the course of this post I only ever mentioned the queer identities of the characters but some of those characters are marginalized in other ways and that very much intersects, for example Elis is a black trans woman. I'm not adding it on to flaunt how progressive I am for having diverse characters, I'm simply like, aiming to acknowledge that white thin able-bodied queerness isn't the standard and people experience queerness differently based on that

It's so odd to see a comment like this, on a post for a Nendoroid that is only $46. Though, that same Nendoroid Damian Desmond is also 6100 yen on preorder. That is a pretty big price jump.

So i have to wonder why more people commenting to the English Good Smile Company Twitter aren't just preordering from the US Good Smile Company Shop for the lower price---then i remember I'm an idiot who forgot how many other countries speak English. Even if they did preorder from the GSC US Shop, there must be crazy customs/shipping fees.😣💸

Still, aside from a few very popular series being above average Nendoroid price (Spy x Family, Kingdom Hearts), overall Nendoroid prices have seemed around a reasonable $50.

Still, i was shocked to see the prices of Spy x Family and Kingdom Hearts Nendoroids! Over $60 each! I cant imagine the aftermarket prices and markups from preordering at stores outside of GSC.😵‍💫 And it's even more unreasonable after having collected Touken Ranbu and Kantai Collection Nendoroids. TouRabu and KanColle are intricately designed, can even have those presumedly expensive metallic shiny paints (that even Fate Nendoroids skimp on), and in the case of KanColle, can include large, also intricately complex accessories. Those KanColle battleship accessories make $60 reasonable. And yet, there are KanColle much lower priced than that! TouRabu too! Meticulously sculpted and painted sword boys with complex armor and beautiful hair, all much less than $60.

I can only speculate that IPs who know they are popular, are asking for higher licensing fees so they can get a bigger cut. Spy x Family, Kingdom Hearts, and Marvel/MCU are very popular, after all. I'm not into Vtubers or Fate, so i dont know their average prices off the top of my head. (I only have a few Fate Nendoroids from some time ago.) But it seems like only really popular properties are getting Nendoroids priced higher than their design complexity levels warrant.

Still, sometimes i see posts like this, and i feel like some people wont be happy until Nendoroids are as cheap as $15 American action figures for children. I have played with those $15 action figures when I was a kid. They used the same mold for all characters that were even remotely similar, their sculpts were not good, the articulation was clunky, and the painting was terrible. It wasn't until Todd McFarlane started making figures that that entire "American action figure" market was introduced to articulated figures that actually looked good by adult standards. And McFarlane Toys are often around $30. $35-$50 are reasonable prices for the quality and versatility of Nendoroids. I've also seen my fair share of exasperating idiots who argue that Nendoroids are children's toys, and therefore should be cheap...even though there are Nendoroids with their boobs hanging out, wearing BDSM collars, and Nendoroids of Pennywise and A Clockwork Orange. Even just the average modular Nendoroid arm is too small for a child to safely play with! Even adult Nendoroid collectors complain about the difficulty in handling average small Nendoroid parts! Claims that Nendoroids are children's toys, always aggravate the hell out if me!... Regardless, you don't want Nendoroids to be at $15 quality level. Believe me.

Though I just had the thought: Maybe instead of DX versions or extra faceplate sets (as GSC has been doing lately with Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba, Umaru-chan, Non Non Biyori, Attack on Titan), maybe GSC should make stripped down Nendoroids, with separate optional sets, of all the usual accessories, normally included with the current average $50 Nendoroid. Remember the Haikyuu school club jersey version Nendoroids? Those were only $25-$30. They were full Nendoroids, but with no spare faceplates, only 1 extra set of alternate arms, and 2 prop accessories each. They weren't stuck in an awkward seated pose, like Nendoroid Swacchao. They weren't static, non-posable, non-modular, like Nendoroid Co-de. They weren't at shrunken scales, like Nendoroid Petite or Nendoroid Surprise. They were full Nendoroids with less parts FOR ONLY $25. GoodSmile was onto a good idea when they started offering DX version Nendoroids alongside normal version Nendoroids. But the problem is that people dont just want the option to pay $50 instead of $80. They want to pay much MUCH less than $50. And if Nendoroids can come down to $25, then I think a lot of people who complain that Nendoroid prices are too out of reach, could get full Nendoroids. Then when they whenever they have more cash, they could also buy the additional accessories separately. Anyway, I can see GSC trying to make more affordable figures, when they introduced Pop Up Parades as "less than $40" in both their announcements for the figure line and at the top of the product line's webpage's description. Plus, they're introducing figure lines like Swacchao and Nendoroid Surprise, which on first glance seem like "Nendoroids, but cheaper". I feel like they're so close to the answer, but they're just not quite getting it. Just make a whole line like those Haikyuu club jersey versions, or Wooser Hand To Mouth: Nendoroids for $25-$30; and if people can afford more accessories, then they can get them separately, but if they can't, then they can still get a full basic Nendoroid.

君だけ: it emphasises the fact that this person is the only one not there - the only person not in this world. Since the title of the song was translated on Spotify into English as “In a world without you alone” I thought it would be cute to also use it as the final line.

“So these things are called scrobbles, huh?” Escargoon shelved his hands to his hips as he looked down at the mobile device before him. He had stopped a Waddle Dee in the castle out of pure curiosity, and the Waddle Dee had been showing him his favorite app, Last.fm. The Waddle Dee nodded and averted his eyes from his phone to Escargoon. The Waddle Dee wore large on-ear headphones, Beats by Dre, regardless of his lack of external ears. Escargoon grabbed hold of the phone and scrolled through this Waddle Dee’s scrobbles. “And the Cappies are really into this stuff?” The Waddle Dee nodded and looked back to his phone. Escargoon perked up. “I’ve really gotta tell the King about this!”

Escargoon promptly entered Dedede’s lounge area with the stolen phone in-hand. The Waddle Dee struggled to chase after him. King Dedede loudly laughed at what he was watching on the big screen. On the big television above, the King was watching an episode of Himouto! Umaru-chan. At the moment, this was his favorite anime. Umaru-chan enjoys potato chips and cola, just like him. His loud voice bellowed through the halls of the castle before he turned to notice Escargoon. He wiped a tear of laughter from his eye before he spoke. “Whaddya want, Escargoon? You’re interrupting Umaru time!”

“‘I’m sorry, sire, but I recently came across this new phenomenon. It’s the hottest thing in Cappy Town right now. I think you’re gonna love it!” exclaimed Escargoon.

“And what’s that?” said the brash King.

“Last.fm! You listen to music on a phone or a computer and as long as you link your account to it, it logs it for ya! You can even install applications to log when you listen to mp3s!” Escargoon detailed.

“Hmmm…music… Haven’t we done this before?” asked Dedede.

“Don’t fret, your majesty! Cappies farm these logs as scrobbles! They see how much they listen every week and compare. There’s even Discord bots they use to compete.” responded his henchman.

“Scrobbles? Ahahaha! Why didn’t you just say so? I’m ‘onna be the king of scrobbles!” The King pressed a button on his remote, instantly calling Nightmare Enterprises. Escargoon rounded the King’s chair and the Waddle Dee shook with nerves. At this point, he wasn’t getting his phone back.

“Long time, no see, King Dedede!” said the salesman.

“No more talkin’! I need scrobblin’! You’re gonna get me a scrobblin’ monster!” spat the King.

“We don’t have a monster that scrobbles for you, but I think I might know a fancy tool that can help you…” the salesman insisted. Next to him on the screen, a popup window appeared. “This, King Dedede, is Open Scrobbler.”

“Hubba hubba!” the king rubbed his hands together.

“This website lets you scrobble songs manually, so you can scrobble anything you hear without having your account all linked up,” the salesman paused before slyly speaking again, “or, you can scrobble any type of entry you want.”

“Alright, sire! This is big! You’re gonna rack up scrobbles in no time!” Escargoon couldn’t hide his excitement at the King’s vision of success.

The King wore a wide toothy smile on his face and laughed, “That sounds great to me, N.M.E.!”

“One more thing, king; Open Scrobbler isn’t part of Nightmare Enterprises. So we can’t help you if you catch repercussions for your actions. That being said…Au revoir!” The salesman signed off and the TV went black.

Tiff and Tuff were hanging out with Kirby down in the square scrobbling together. They had a Spotify party going which allowed them both to scrobble the same song at once. Suddenly, Sober by Project Dani started playing through their bluetooth speaker.

“Tuff, what is this music?” asked Tiff, “I don’t really like it.”

“It’s an acquired taste,” answered Tuff.

“Why don’t we listen to something we both like, like Brentalfloss?” suggested Tiff. Kirby looked towards her.

“I don’t want to listen to Brentalfloss. It would be bad for my weekly scrobble report!” replied Tuff. Kirby looked back to him.

“Is that all you care about? What about just hanging out with me?” questioned Tiff in a rage. Kirby looked down. He was sad and worried about his friends fighting.

“Hey, Kirby, why don’t you decide what to scrobble with us?” Tuff handed his phone over to Kirby. Kirby then excitedly smacked the phone screen until a different song started to play. It was World is Mine by ryo (supercell), famously sung by Vocaloid performer Hatsune Miku.

“Poyo! Poyo!” Kirby smiled and jumped excitedly at the sound of the music. Just then, Chef Kawasaki came walking by.

“Hatsune Miku? She’s my favorite! I’ve scrobbled Vocaloid songs more than any other!” he said happily.

“Wow! You scrobble too, Chef Kawasaki?” said Tuff.

“Yeah! I’ve got over 1,300 scrobbles this week alone,” the chef beamed.

“No way! I don’t have nearly that many,” cried Tuff, embarrassed. His attitude suddenly changed. “Oh well, at least I scrobble gamer music.” He held up his phone to show his scrobbles. His recent scrobbles included the Sonic Heroes soundtrack and songs from various Friday Night Funkin’ mods.

“That’s great, Tuff!” Chef Kawasaki remarked supportively, ”It says we have high compatibility!”

Kirby stayed by the speaker amazed by the music, when King Dedede came strolling through town with Escargoon by his side. “Gamer music? I bet you I know a thing or two about that!” proclaimed the King.

“Huh? What do you mean?” whined Tiff. To her, it was disappointing to hear that Dedede had hopped onto the scrobbling trend. This meant he would compete.

“I got 52,000 scrobbles just this week,” he declared. Beside him, Escargoon crossed his arms and nodded. “And I’ve got more gamer music on my weekly report than you could ever listen to!” Dedede held his phone out with his Last.fm profile open for the group to see. Escargoon stretched to see over the King’s shoulder.

“The Persona 5 Original Soundtrack? I didn’t know you had it in ya, sire!” announced Escargoon.

Tiff examined Dedede’s profile carefully. “Hey!” she shouted, “It says here that you listened to The Home Depot theme for 18 hours yesterday!”

Dedede broke a sweat. “That’s because I did! You ever heard it? I could listen to it all day long! Heheh!” Dedede nervously smiled and turned his phone back to himself. Tiff’s feet scuffed the stone beneath her as she turned back to her friends.

“Can’t you guys tell that Dedede is faking scrobbles? There aren’t even 52,000 minutes in a week!”

More Cappies gathered round. Kirby and Tuff both looked up at Tiff and Chef Kawasaki looked confused. “How do you know how many minutes are in a week?” asked Tuff.

Escargoon was ready to bite nails he didn’t have. He then drew courage and gave voice to a brand new idea. “That’s because this account is for all the Waddle Dees at the castle! It’s a combined amount for all of us! We call it DDD.FM and we’re all connected!”

“Poyo…” Kirby turned confusedly towards Escargoon.

“That sounds like cheating!” pouted Tuff.

“We could do it, too!” said a Cappy from the crowd.

“Yes…you can,” said a mysterious figure. In the trees, Meta Knight was perched, watching the crowd.

“Meta Knight! Where have you been?” Tiff called out.

He opened his cape to reveal a bright golden trophy whose shine pierced eyes in the sunlight. “I was busy accepting my Grammy with the 8 Bit Big Band,” spoke the knight in a low voice. Through his mask, Meta Knight began to speak once more, “There is only one way for this to happen. The King is using Open Scrobbler to manually insert false scrobbles. But, if we are all allowed to go against him, you need to find a way to combine all of Cappy Town’s scrobbles.”

“How are we gonna do that?” cried Tuff.

Kirby looked determined to help his friends, despite his previous confusion. King Dedede rushed behind the crowd and opened Open Scrobbler in a panic. His plan was to add more scrobbles than the Cappies could possibly combine together. Kirby noticed this and stepped forward toward him, separating the crowd.

“Wait, Kirby!” shouted the dishonest King.

Before he could think, Kirby had sucked up his phone — and swallowed. Kirby flipped up into a transformation. He gained a reddish color with a white “as” last.fm abbreviated logo horizontally across the back of his body.

“This is Scrobble Kirby!” announced Meta Knight proudly.

Kirby turned back to the crowd and charged up energy from the Cappies’ mobile devices. He combined their scrobbles together, and their accounts all became one.

“This is not good for my scrobbles,” mumbled Tuff, disappointed to see that so many scrobbles would mix together into the same report.

Cappies scrambled to check their phones. A combined total of over 1 million scrobbles appeared on the profile. The weekly total read 302,407 scrobbles when Kirby finished charging his energy. He then dispersed the energy and returned to normal, granting Dedede his phone back.

To 302,407, Dedede’s 52,000 was nothing, regardless of whether or not he recorded false scrobbles. At the sight of it, the King’s jaw dropped and laid agape for the duration of the encounter.

Escargoon took Dedede by the hand. “Oh come on, sire. Let’s go calm down and watch Chi’s Sweet Home.”
