😈 Exposing the NDA Accounts ~ Part Two 2️⃣🧨

I told y'all I know what I'm doing. Whoever unfollowed because of my little shenanigans, come back! 😭

Obviously, y’all saw the straight-up lies made. and you also saw the (horrible, immature, stupid) rebuttals made by those who are a part of the whole NDA scheme.

So, I have a part two to add some updates.

After they were freaking out to me about posting Part One, they came flooding to my DMs with anger and feelings of betrayal, and how I lied to the, and how they were crying, and yadda yadda yadda...

The “Chris” account was so mad 😭 So I was like “Okay, let me see proof.” I asked for concrete proof, which I specifically requested a photo of them all together with Dolly or the girl claiming to be Matt’s girlfriend. I framed it like "As long as you have a third-party (who would be me) to verify that you're telling the truth, then people are more inclined to believe you. The logic behind that is that when you want people to believe a secret you’re spilling, whether it’s the full truth or a full lie, you need an outside source to verify everything, kind of like an intervention.

There were some hiccups before I got what I wanted. It was the obvious liar tricks pulled right out of their hats, like "She's insecure about the way she looks so she won't give you anything", or "My hair looked bad in that photo so I put my hoodie on and it won't be obvious", or yadda yadda yadda.

But I didn't give a fuck. I pressured until they gave me the photos.

So, I got my photos. And dear God or whoever's up there in the universe, they were the worst pieces of evidence I have ever seen.

The first photo I got was of the boys, excluding Nick, and some friends when they were obviously still young and in high school. I recognized Matt's ex Nicole next to them, not that that's relevant, but it provides extra context to the photos. Keep in mind, the characters like Dolly and Chris and Matt have all claimed to have known each other for almost a decade, so this checks out time-wise.

"Chris" blocked out Doll's face because she's insecure... or whatever.

However, that image was easily traceable and I reverse-image-searched it and voila: It popped up on Pinterest as an old throwback photo from their Snapchat. And I saw what she looked like.

And that is not Doll, that is one of their high school friends that even popped up in one of their earlier, now-deleted, vlogs. Dolly is British, and the girl doesn't have a British accent in the videos I remember seeing her in. It was straight-up American, and especially Bostonian.

Also, all of the characters claim that Doll is much older than the boys'. My thing is, if she's much older than them, it would be weird of her to hang out with them when they're 14-15 year old teenagers. But let's gloss over that since the "characters" gloss over how weird that is too.

There's another photo too. This one took a lot more convincing to get, but I finally got it! It is a picture of her and Chris. "Chris" posted and deleted that picture fast, so I had to be fast AS FUCK to get a screenshot. I'm impressed with myself.

Now, here's the the thing: Maybe if you're looking at it on first glance, or if you aren't wearing your glasses, or if you're just not a Chris girl, then that photo seems convincing.

But please use your eyes. That photo is a real photo with real people. It can't be reverse-searched. But why do I say it's not Chris? Because it is doctored. Like obviously.

Now I'm impressed by Doll- or whoever's- tech skills because by gosh it looks pretty good. But as someone who knows a thing or two about editing photos and figuring out what's real and what isn't, it was pretty obviously fake.

The photo was a pic of Chris masked over an actual man's, maybe AI was used to mask Chris's face over the actual guy's, or maybe it was FaceApp, or just some really good photoshop.

God he's fine as hell. You know what Doja Cat said about noses.

Here’s some pics of Chris. Now let’s compare them, shall we? 🥰

The eyes are the main giveaway. One eye looks normal with a reflection, while the other has no pupil, and the reflection is not where it should be based on the positioning of the photo and where the main lighting is coming from in the photo.

The tip of this man's nose is longer than that of Chris's.

The real Chris's cupid's bow and arch is wider than that of the man in the photo's.

The real Chris's mustache stops more centimeters away from his lips compared to this man's. The hairs of Chris's mustache and facial hair in general are darker than those of this man's.

Chris has a square jaw while this man's jaw is triangle shaped, and no, the hoodie isn't obscuring anything. Even if the hoodie is removed and you see that bit of shadowed jaw, the angle of the jawline is different than that of the real Chris Sturniolo's.

There's other miniscule details, such as the way the hair fibers of her hair over his face are fuzzy rather than obvious strands which should be obvious since its a dark substance over something light, the hairs create a shadow on the man's face rather than creating actual lines as hair usually does, his hand literally not Chris's hand as it is fuller than Chris's, and the shadows are not where they should be in this photo based on the lighting and angles.

There's a lot more things we discussed in details such as Chris's kinks which, based on tarot, were all lies.

I mentioned how Chris is a submissive, chain-using, piss kink foot lover... which are all very untrue.

So, yeah they're faking it. 😭😭 I'm super curious of how they're gonna try to explain all of this. Let's stay tuned. 🤷🏾‍♀️

I haven't been much in a FL... or art, mood, but I can never tire of drawing Sawyer/Sophia... and Jack of Smile. It's complicated lol

So here's Poor Edward suffering with Sawyer having his headmate JoS who likes making a reappearance. Also featuring his drag alter ego Sophia because who wouldn't want that?

NOTE: Sawyer is a trans-man, who goes by he/him normally! BUT when Sawyer's in drag (as "Sophia") then it's okay to use she/they/he/etc. If a drawing has more masc clothing, then it's he/him lol

SO a while ago, Sawyer finished the Jack of Smiles Case quite a while ago while I was completing Light Fingers! And during that, I decided to use some Fate to Become Jack (and was basically the Best JoS ever seen) and thus ran with the idea that even after defeating JoS and all that jazz, Smiles still lingers in Sawyer's head. Like the musical/modern version of Jekyll and Hyde (that is an important distinction, musical vs the book)

Honestly, Sawyer handles it pretty well all things considered.

Now, this does complicate the Poor Edward marriage thing though. Sawyer is very careful about when/how Smiles goes loose. He'll never allow it to see or interact with his Actual wife (the Celebrated Artist's Model) or his kids.

Ed, however, is fair game.

And of course, occasionally Smiles pops out before, during or after a performance as Sophia and thus we get a deranged hot lady murdering people. Fun times for the neath, certainly. (my friend actually said this is like the Jane/Jill the Ripper myths and I'm in love with it lol)

And Ed, as usual, isn't sure if he's scared or into it with his two-for-one husband.

The first image is a photo from the 1960s of a drag-queen, Henry Arango doing a recreation of a Production/movie of the story of Salome, however a lot of the archival links/sites are pretty broken.

The Edward doodle "He was so afraid of girls he made a secret study of them" is from a 1924 movie called Girl Shy featuring Harold Lloyd.

10 Grelle-based paraphernalia that I found on eBay, in no particular order but my subjective deeming of relevance or importance

Possibly part one of a series? Perhaps?

If so, then I probably won’t contain it to only eBay, and I’m going off of what comes up for someone who’s based in the UK, so maybe there’s more or less stuff available if you’re in other countries due to shipping limitations, etc.? Grell Sutcliff Funko Pop 18 Kuroshitsuji Black Butler POP! Vinyl Anime Figure

you are welcome to send multiple asks about the same fundraiser. however, i will only respond to one at a time; if you send me three messages at once, i will most likely post one and delete the others. (edit: due to the high amount of asks i will no longer be directly answering/posting them, but i will still reblog vetted fundraisers) but if you send your fundraiser again after i've already posted it, i am willing to do so again. if your fundraiser has not yet been verified, i will delete your older messages so that i can see your fundraiser link closer to the top of my inbox.

this is a picture I drew (with a reference I took out of @adorkastock 's DeviantArt) of Inko Midoriya and Eddie Soul's wedding, The wedding happens after this universe's version of Deku vs. Bakugou 2, where Inko and Eddie go visit their sons to announce and prepare the wedding in Japan so that they could all celebrate together.

a note about sources: when i reblog things that do not have a source or credit in the caption, it is because i have checked out the blog that originally posted it and determined that the OP appears to be the originator of the image (artist/photographer/maker). obviously i'm not perfect and sometimes my assessment is wrong or sometimes i don't check as well as i should, but if you ever see something i've reblogged that appears to have a questionable source feel free to send me an ask (or dm if we're mutuals).

how to identify stolen images: it is typically not very difficult to tell whether you are looking at the blog of an artist or photographer who posts their own work with no caption, or a reposter who uploads images taken from pinterest/reddit/instagram/other blogs without citing a source. blogs run by the artist or photographer will generally include the name of the creator as the blog title or url or in the description, or at the very least have a recognizable "digital identity" to which their work is attached. their work will also typically be consistent in style, technique, and subject matter. also many (though not all!) original artists/photographers will tag their original uploads of their work as "my work", "my art", "original photography", or something similar that implies creation of the image. most third party uploaders will either include very few tags solely for organization in order to preserve their aesthetic, OR tag with a big pile of buzzwords but generally avoid ones that directly claim authorship of the image. some will even add "artist credit" by putting the artist's name in the tags of the original post (not a good way to add credit btw since those don't carry over to reblogs and thus an image can circulate for years with no source, and also if the OP deactivates or tumblr breaks the original post view function again then the source is just gone forever). also the tags "found", "upload", "upl" etc (when combined with a post that lacks a source/artist credit) are often indicators that this is a stolen image pulled from somewhere else rather than an upload directly from the photographer or artist.

if you're still not sure whether a blog is being run by an artist or just a particularly choosy reposter who is maintaining a very consistent aesthetic/persona while posting other people's work with no source, save one of their images to your device and try reverse image searching using tineye, google reverse image search, or labnol (website that allows you to use google reverse image search on mobile, which google does not allow by default for some stupid reason). those all have different areas of expertise so if you have trouble with one, try the others. this is how i have found nearly all the artist credits i have added to other posts in my "source added" tag. sometimes you need to really investigate the results to find the original source. duplicate results does not always equal stolen - you may be able to find the same image posted by the same creator across multiple platforms (in which case you'd expect the digital identity of the poster to match across all those platforms) or it may have been stolen and posted elsewhere AFTER the original post you are looking at, but if you're seeing other instances of the same image being posted across the web that are older than the post you're looking at, and they don't appear to all be posted by the same person, you're probably looking at a stolen repost. this is especially true if the blog posting it is mostly faceless and/or posts things of an inconsistent style and subject matter. even photographers who remain intentionally faceless will still post a large number of similar-looking photos - photographers don't generally go out to take one photo and go home, they take a large number of photos in the same general area under the same lighting conditions, then sift through to edit and post the best ones. you should be able to discern some kind of generally unified sense of place from a photographer's portfolio.

of course these aren't hard-and-fast rules, just general patterns to look for if you care about identifying sources. thank you for coming to my ted talk

I was curious what these are, so I did a quick reverse image search and learned that they're called trulli, and they're from southern peninsular Italy on the Adriatic side. The Italian Wikipedia page (https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trullo) has this exact image and goes into slightly more detail than the English page (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trullo). (If you, like me, don't speak the language, Firefox can translate the page for you.) The Italian page cites this article: https://web.archive.org/web/20150418035337/http://www.rivistasitiunesco.it/articolo_eng.php?id_articolo=63 as a source for the history of their construction.

In brief, it's a very fun story to tell about people quickly knocking down their homes to fool the tax collectors, but look at how thick that construction is. We're looking at easily a ton of stone. Certainly no one is moving that house; at the very least, they're leaving a pile of rubble and abandoning it. But people have been building temporary and even mobile shelters, and if there's one building material that they always eschew, it's rock, a material famously heavy and difficult to transport. Equally, "beehive" style dry stone buildings are fairly common (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dry_stone_hut), and one of the things they are known to do is to last for long periods of time, like the monastery on Skellig Michael (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skellig_Michael). Structures like this, as far as I can tell, tend to be common when the building materials (stratified limestone, often) is readily available, and they tend to be peasant dwellings. The lack of mortar makes them easy to construct.

If there's any truth to the taxation avoidance scheme, it's unfortunately not the peasants who were benefiting. The more plausible story is that the nobility who were given the land near the end of the 15th century wanted peasants to come work the land, but towns could only be established by the king, so the nobles banned the peasants from using mortar so that their houses could be torn down and the peasants dispersed if need be:

In those conditions, it's easy to see an existing dry stone hut vernacular being adapted into slowly larger buildings. And in the way of these things, after a while a tradition sticks and people keep doing it.

ALL THAT BEING SAID, I totally agree about the characters committing tax fraud thing, which was the point of the post.

STOP assigning pre-modern characters the trait “would commit tax fraud” without understanding how hard tax fraud was back in the days when a tax collector would physically come to your estate and assess your sitch. Do you have any idea how easy kids these days have it? You can just claim a few fake deductions or lie on a form and be a tax criminal. Your ancestors and fantasy faves had to work for those pennies.

Look at this house. This house has no mortar so it can be collapsed or moved to avoid taxation. That’s the sort of innovation I need to be seeing before you can call anyone in a feudal society a tax fraudster. They need to be hiding warehouses of goods, shoving grandpa in the basement to dodge the censusman, starting small regional wars, fleeing their villages in a constant semi-nomadic race against the forces of government, registering twins as a single child, or putting their life on the line to sell blackmarket bread. Come back when you have some tax fraud I can respect, not just a guy who looks kind of sleazy and sometimes does paperwork.

Gotta go add those!) the only time I hesitate is when I want to be mindful of someone's privacy 😶‍🌫️ I only share publicly available content, but there's a bit of nervousness if its a smaller, personal instagram account that I'll put this poor person on the spot on tumblr dot org dot net just for happening to having a hot Max selfie in the RBR HQ location tag ahhhhhhhh I probs should get over this worry and add the account name for best practices tho!! 🫡 Ahhhh I always worry tho! couple quibbles:

Completely agree it’s silly to consider Glaze/Nightshade a grift in the sense of a moneymaking scheme, because it very obviously isn’t doing that. But it’s also true that academics are incentivized in other ways to overstate the practical use of their research, and the label grifter still makes sense in egregious cases. And even if the team is not overstepping there (I don’t have a firsthand impression of this either way), it’s always sensible to take the team’s claims with a grain of salt and look for independent attempts to replicate their results.

Eh, while the outputs from upscaling and denoising are still noisy, they don’t seem that far off from what you get after applying Glaze in the first place, which is arguably still imitating the style! But this is probably subjective, and the figures in the pdf are very small, so maybe it is still worse than that.

Overall: the research IS very cool, and I’m glad they’re doing it! But I think the OP is essentially correct that most tumblr artists concerned about this would be better off just taking the good ol’ watermark approach (particularly since I don’t think I’ve actually seen anyone applying Glaze yet anyway—people seem to be more excited about the concept than they are motivated to actually install and run it).

And by the same token, I think we are going to have a paradigm shift around this eventually, the same way we did after the original transition to sharing art on the web—online artists have already been dealing with people outright stealing their art by screenshotting or cropping/editing the source out and re-uploading this entire time. Even with reverse image search, it happens too much to meaningfully fight. Most artists still don’t use a watermark, and the communities that share art place a high cultural value on properly crediting artists. I don’t think that will go away with the advent of AI art.

I particularly agree with this:

sharing art means letting go of the fear of being copied. Nothing is truly original.

The sooner that artists embrace AI as a tool to extend their ability, the less they have to fear from it in the first place. AI art thieves can’t out-compete you if you’re using the same tools they are, with your unique skill on top of it. And if you stop making and sharing art, that’s going to tank your career much more assuredly than AI mimicry can, as well as leaving the world that much the poorer.

the darling Glaze “anti-ai” watermarking system is a grift that stole code/violated GPL license (that the creator admits to). It uses the same exact technology as Stable Diffusion. It’s not going to protect you from LORAs (smaller models that imitate a certain style, character, or concept)

An invisible watermark is never going to work. “De-glazing” training images is as easy as running it through a denoising upscaler. If someone really wanted to make a LORA of your art, Glaze and Nightshade are not going to stop them.

If you really want to protect your art from being used as positive training data, use a proper, obnoxious watermark, with your username/website, with “do not use” plastered everywhere. Then, at the very least, it’ll be used as a negative training image instead (telling the model “don’t imitate this”).

There is never a guarantee your art hasn’t been scraped and used to train a model. Training sets aren’t commonly public. Once you share your art online, you don’t know every person who has seen it, saved it, or drawn inspiration from it. Similarly, you can’t name every influence and inspiration that has affected your art.

I suggest that anti-AI art people get used to the fact that sharing art means letting go of the fear of being copied. Nothing is truly original. Artists have always copied each other, and now programmers copy artists.

Capitalists, meanwhile, are excited that they can pay less for “less labor”. Automation and technology is an excuse to undermine and cheapen human labor—if you work in the entertainment industry, it’s adapt AI, quicken your workflow, or lose your job because you’re less productive. This is not a new phenomenon.

You should be mad at management. You should unionize and demand that your labor is compensated fairly.
