Winnie Vanderquack in the Fountain Episode

Winnie could just gasp, jaw dropped in disbelief as she watched the two now-teenagers running down the swamp. She couldn’t even bring herself to vocalize the “ARE YOU SERIOUS?!” going on repeat inside her head. Not that Scrooge would’ve listened to her, and that’s what really got on the Vanderquack’s nerves.

Winnie would expect that from O’Gilt.  The woman was basically a stranger to them, to Winnie especially, and by what Webby and their Granny had told her, Goldie was a sly snake who wouldn’t do a double take before sacrificing someone to save her own skin.

But Scrooge was their uncle! Who was supposed to take care of them when they were adventuring! Not leave them alone in the middle of a swamp to run after some skirt! Especially not when Webby was-

“You come back here you two- ARK!”

Winnie flinched at the crack from her sister’s back. She turned around, her face growing worried when she again saw Webby’s state. Not just was she having to use Scrooge’s cane, but also her eye was red and swollen; so that’s what happens when a mosquito stings you in the eye. Winnie didn’t even know that was possible to happen. Honestly, it looked like her sister had stolen Donald’s bad luck today.

If it was just for her, or if Webby was okay, Winnie would have ran after Scrooge and pulled him by the whiskers. But Webby was not okay. And her sister’s well being was more important than teaching that old-now-young man a lesson that her Granny would teach better once they got back home anyways.

Right now, it was time to act as the older sister she was.

“Okay, enough’s enough.” She gently grabbed Webby’s arm.

“Wait, where are we going?” the younger twin asked, not fighting her sister’s pull though. “Uncle Scrooge and Goldie went to the other side!”

“I know, we’re not going after them, we’re going back to the inn.”

“What?! But they-“

“Are adults who ditched us. If they’re not worried about what can happen to us in this place, I’m more than sure they’ll be fine on their own as well.” Winnie looked at Webby by the corner of her eye. “You, by other hand, need to rest.”

“No, I don’t!”

“Everything on your face and posture says the contrary,” Winnie replied with a deadpan.

Lucky her, Webby didn’t fight much longer and just allowed Winnie to lead the way. Aside from one crocodile that she had to kick on the face, the Vanderquack twins got back to the inn with no problems. Different from earlier, the place’s hall was empty.

“C’mon, let’s go to the room upstairs,” Winnie said. “You’re going to stay there and rest while I look for a nursery or something. Copy?”

“Yeah, yeah, I copy.” Webby rolled her healthy eye.

But before they could start going upstairs, “Ah, there you two are.” Louie approached them from the pool, his eyes going from bored to wide when he saw Webby. “What the heck happened to you?”

“Florida’s nature.”

“And your Uncle,” Winnie added with a tiny frown.

“huh,” it was all the triplet said before looking around. “Where’s Uncle Scrooge, by the way.”

“Looking for the fountain already.”

“Wait, really?” A smile grew on Louie’s face with Winnie’s answer. “That means we don’t need to go into a deadly swamp later anymore?”

“I guess,” the older Vanderquack answered again, her eyes then moving to the pool’s open area. Precisely, to the two ducks playing ping pong. She rosed a brow. “Does Dewey look… taller?”

“Oh, yeah, he and Huey are wrapped in a whole deal because of it.” Louie rolled his eyes.

Winnie opened her mouth to ask but decided to drop the subject. Huey could deal with his little brother; Winnie already had her own little sister to take care of.

“We’re going to our room,” she declared, not really waiting for Louie to acknowledge it before guiding Webby upstairs.

And neither of the twins was the wiser when it came for the battle that happened downstairs, at the pool’s feet. They just found out about it later, when Webby, claiming her back wasn’t so sore anymore and that she didn’t need to lay down to rest her eye, convinced Winnie to go meet with the boys at the pool. Neither of them expected to find Scrooge and the triplets handing cups of water to elderlies, who’d magically turn into young people after a sip.

For a bigger surprise than that, only Goldie coming back to return Finch’s Journal to Scrooge and the old couple sharing a big kiss.

A couple of hours later, the five kids were finally having a good time playing in the pool. Winnie was sat on the edge, waiting for Huey to come back with more sunscreen and watching Webby and Dewey play fighting with noodles, when someone approached her.

“Erh… Winnie lass, can we talk?” Scrooge scratched the back of his neck.

By the narrowed, cold look the little girl gave him before nodding, the man knew this really was a talk they needed to have, if the rich duck wanted to keep his bones intact when they get back home. Scrooge kneeled beside her, sighing.

“Ah’m sorry Ah left ye and Webby alone in the swamp, Ah donnae know what made me do that. Ah guess Ah was lost on the thrill of being young again… but that’s not an excuse. Ah’m sorry.”

Winnie couldn’t hide her surprise. Scrooge apologizing was a rare occasion.

“You’ll have to say that to Webby too, you know?” She tried to sound intimidating, but her little smile gave her in; she forgives him.

“Ah will,” Scrooge agreed, stroking the girl’s hair gently. His face didn’t stay calm for long, however, the tense expression suddenly back. “And… Of course… If ye could not tell yer Grandmother about what happened…”

Winnie deadpanned again. Oooof course.

Her eyes quickly moved to the pool and Winnie grew a smirk before looking back to Scrooge.

“I guess I could not tell her… Depending on some stuff, however.”

“Depending on what?” The old duck was really whiling to do anything to prevent Bentina to know.

“This!” Winnie grabbed the front of Scrooge’s shirt and pulled him forwards into the pool!

It was a matter of two seconds before Scrooge had his head back on the surface, his face frowing to Winnie in an expression that said “hey!”. Winnie could just laugh, and so did Webby and Dewey in the middle of the pool. A third, loud voice cackled too, and the older twin turned her head to see Goldie on a pool chair.

The woman gave Winnie a finger gun, “I like your style, kiddo.”

Ducktales: The Final Secret of April McDuck

In what probably shouldn’t be a routine occurrence, Team Magic is fighting Phantom Blot and Pepper after coming across them trying to drain the portal to the magic evil kelpie golf realm, this time with May, June and Boyd helping. However, partway through something makes Webby and Pepper stop dead in their tracks, blank faced, before running off. Blot and the kids quickly decide to put aside their differences to go after their friends, but are unable to stop them as whatever force is making them leave also prompts them to fight off their pursuers and steal a helicopter.

The group is forced to stop and figure out what to do next both by that and by the fact that Sora and Riku show up, saying the same thing happened to Kairi. Thankfully, Kairi had her phone on her and Boyd is able to use that to track them.

Meanwhile, Webby, Pepper, Kairi, and a duck who looks a lot like Donald make their way into some sort of facility, where they come to their senses just in time to be at the mercy of a long missing missing, thought to be dead FOWL agent by the name of Major Synapse, who says he has big plans for them that he’s been waiting a long time to put into effect.

The heroes and Blot reach the outside of Synapse’s base, which is deep in a forest and is guarded by a pack of massive, fiercely territorial magic-eating rodents called Woozles(yes, from Winnie the Pooh. fite me) that they have to fight through. After they get past those and the lair’s security system, they find Synapse and his prisoners, with Blot being surprised that the other agent is still alive after the SHUSH raids that led to Beakley finding Webby and FOWL being presumed destroyed. As it turns out, Synapse was the head of FOWL’s deep cover division and its psychic division, possessing psychic powers of his own that were amplified by an early version of Gandra’s nanotech.

What Blot wasn’t aware of was that Synapse was also the one who came up with Project 87. Originally, it was meant to be an elite squad consisting of twelve clones of the greatest warriors they could find, all programed with psychic triggers that would give them access to various skill sets and put them under FOWL control, then adopted out as infants into normal lives so SHUSH would never find them until it was too late. Only four clones were ever made; Dapper Duck, aka January, who was based on Donald after a premonition from one of the psychic agents that Donald would one day be the greatest adventurer of all time(he’s also apparently one of Daisy’s exes and kind of a snobby jerk). Pepper and Kairi, who are February and March respectively and were both based on SHUSH agents. And of course Webby, who’s creation prompted Bradford to change the plan of Project 87 so he could use her as the heir of Scrooge McDuck and claim the Papyrus of Binding.

This prompted Synapse to leave FOWL during the raids, believing correctly that even if the organization did survive, Bradford’s obsession with McDuck and denial of his true nature would be FOWL’s eventual downfall. As a result, he wasn’t there to program May and June when they were created.

After all that is explained, Synapse once again triggers the clones’ programming, telling them to help him kill the intruders. A long, hard-fought battle ensues, the clones manage to break free of their programing with help from their friends, Synapse is taken down, and everyone goes home knowing more about themselves than when they left. Usual episode climax stuff.

Yesterday, I was planning to photoshopping some images of any Disney characters in Amphibia: Calamity War on my laptop, but sadly my laptop froze and I have no choice, but to restart and cancel the project. However, I’ve already typed down on my notes from my iPad and here are some lists of any characters that will appeared with each colors. Plot:

Troubadour, a French-accented turtle inadvertently gets kidnapped in the middle of telling the story behind The Toonsnatcher who orders his minions named The Blackheart Strikers to capture and collect as many cartoon characters and bring them all to him after he hijacked different televisions to only to find nothing but static. Suddenly, coloured bars appeared on screen. Followed by an image of some castle, and a scrolling list of names. This went on for several minutes, before ending with text, saying "These are tomorrow's victims." The broadcast would suddenly end, and static resumed one day late at night.

It cuts to Duckberg where Scrooge McDuck was polishing his first dime and Huey, Dewey, Louie Duck, and Webby Vanderquack were playing outside while one of Toonsnatcher’s minions named Eclipse prepares to kidnap them and makes spooky noises. Huey checks the same bush Eclipse was hiding only for him to about be pulled by him and Dewey, Louie, and Webby trying to help him get away but they get pulled in too disappearing. Scrooge then hears the screams of his nephews and goes outside to check only for him to be pulled by Eclipse. In Bugs’ hole, Bugs Bunny was chilling in his rabbit hole until he hears noises coming from outside. He went to check only for him to be swiped away by another one of the Toonsnatcher’s minions named Phantom. Cutting to different scenes, other characters such as Sonic The Hedgehog, Miles “Tails” Prower, Cream the Rabbit, Mario, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Buster Bunny, Babs Bunny, Tom Cat, Jerry Mouse, Scooby Doo, Mickey Mouse, Gosalyn Mallard, Max Goof, Pistol Pete, Dale, Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, Roo, Bonkers D. Bobcat, Roger Rabbit, Wakko Warner, Dot Warner, Pipsqueak, Slappy Squirrel, Rita, Mindy, Woody Woodpecker, Knothead & Splinter, Mighty Mouse, Felix the Cat, Rocky the Flying Squirrel, Sherman, Betty Boop, Pink Panther, Garfield, & Odie are kidnapped in the process causing news outlets reporting it.

In Carson City Nevada, 16 year old Penny Walters’ rushes home from school with her friends Ethan Anderson, Tyler Phillips, and Sofia Williams where during a middle of a game of go fish, Penny shares a call to her friends telling her that they are gonna go on a trip to DisneyLand making Penny’s friends excited about their trip but Tyler warns Penny and their other friends about the Toonsnatcher to which Penny tells them not to worry and what’s the bad thing that could happen to them.

As they arrive to Disneyland in Anaheim California the next day, Penny, Tyler, Ethan, and Sofia are shocked to find out that Disneyland was permanently closed and were about to head home until they are lured in only to be saved by a man named Mr. Grayson Cyrus who claims to be a detective and needs help to find the missing toons. Mr. Cyrus tells the four friends of a trafficking operation where toons are kidnapped, have their toon antics taken, and are either killed by the “Dip”, have their appearances altered so they can star in his TV show, turned into small creatures, or turned into stuffed animals for the rest of their lives as he shows them the special broadcast that was showed late at night. Mr. Grayson Cyrus revolves to find the missing cartoon characters with their help. At first they disagree but later agrees after he makes a deal that Disneyland will be open again once they found them.

The group alongside other cartoon characters travels through  Duckberg, ACME Acres, Frostbite Falls Minnesota, Muncie Indiana, Green Hill Zone, U.S Acres and Transylvanian castle among other cartoon places. During the journey, they pick up toons who some were friends with their victims and Mr Grayson Cyrus, mysteriously goes missing leading to the teens and other toons to find them. Later, they eventually find the castle that resembles the one from the special broadcast. They went inside and split up trying to find them. Meanwhile, the “Toonsnatcher” looks at a portrait of his father which transitions to a flashback sequence where it tells that his father didn’t allow him to watch cartoons and he himself started to resent them as he get up. Upon some of the toons finding them, some of them gets turned into turned into small creatures, or turned into stuffed animals. 

Meanwhile, Penny and her friends sees this and the Toonsnatcher reveals himself as Fictive who disguised himself as Mr. Grayson Cyrus. Fictive tells his victims about his backstory in a song and plans to torture Penny, her friends and the other toons in his different schemes. But Penny and her friends help free the other toons and escape with the help of Penny’s mother and the three crash into ToonTown’s. Where the Toonsnatcher turns into a giant amalgamation dragon. While the toons fights Fictive, Penny, Tyler, Ethan, and Sofia tries to look around ToonTown for the “Dip”. As the eventually found the “Dip” supply, Penny and her friends empties the machine spraying and dissolving Fictive to death making machine explode and the toons lured by Fictive to turn back to normal.

As police and other toons gather at the scene, The Mayor of Townsville declares Penny, Tyler, Ethan, and Sofia the heroes of Toontown. The next day, Troubadour now freed from Fictive ends the story as he leaves his library and follows Penny, her friends, and toons as they head into Disneyland with Penny using her free pass to Disneyland Mickey Mouse gave her as Mickey Mouse takes a picture of Penny with her friends and the other toons behind Aurora’s castle.
