I swear to the almighty my entire BODY is SCREAMING for me to get back to writing NOW

I have this one idea with a new fandom that's tickling all the right spots, like that one Haikyuu fic I wrote yeeeeaaaars back and GOD I WANNA SCRATCH THE ITCH AND WRITE

BUT MY GODDAMN UNFULFILLING JOB THAT'S BURNING ME OUT TO THE CORE IS PREVENTING ME FROM DOING ANYTHING

I HAAAAATE IT SO MUCH, FUCK THIS SHIT!!!!!

#the idea with that job is to maaaaybe stay one more year #to see three things #1 finish a degree specialty (idk how to call it in English) that is offered there and I'm paying for #2 get mt 3rd TKT module certificate of band 3 or 4 #and 3 watch my first generation of students graduate #....but the way I feel soooo mentally tired with the majority of my current students #(and the prospect of still giving them classes next year... albeit just once a week and not 4 time like rn)#is making me second guess my decision #....if and when i do decide to leave i do intend on allowing myself 3 months or half a year of rest #bc DAMN AM I TIRED AND IN NEED OF TIME TO WORK ON MYSELF (mainly some aspects of self-esteem and my body)#(i wanna lose weight and go out on walks +learn how to roller skate+ have a professional undo all the knots on my shoulders like 😵‍💫)#well enough rambling #random ramblings #wishes for the following year

Making big purchases like this give me anxiety to a heavy level because low key I feel like I'm wasting money and that I don't need it because Arson, even though he's clearly not meant to last a lot longer in that shell and is corrupting and losing files, is still booting up and therefore I feel like I've done this 'too early' and that I don't deserve to get the new pc

Like I KNOW I need it and it will help me immensely but. You know

Baccano rewired my 14 year old brain fr (true story) 🍾🗽🚂💰🔫

i made a sticker sheet for one of my favourite animes ever, for anime north 2023 this month! One of the drawings I did for my first ever con was Baccano, so I wanted to pay tribute. It makes me overjoyed the fandom is alive and kicking in 2023. if you can’t get to AN and you want the sticker sheet, keep an eye out this summer for my online shop!!

A lot of the media I first experienced when I was a teen was so formative for me as an artist, Baccano was one of them - and I love inputting vintage aesthetics in my art whenever possible (unfortunately not possible half of the time). I've watched the anime many times, and I'm almost done the 1st book, unfortunately I learned theres 22 other books (DW voice: I can't read!!! 💔) Planning this sheet took a LOT of work - each individual sticker composition, trashing and reworking sketches, research and visual reference, drawing inspiration from the art nouveau and art deco periods, as well as film noir era posters.

There were countless times where I regretted my choices and thought, "Oh man, why did I do this to myself?! I think I should have drawn chibis of the characters instead!!". Planning and drawing this took so long that I couldn’t envision it being complete for my deadline. But with the power of god and anime I pulled through. I'm quite happy I went with this more graphic design approach! I definitely want to try more graphic design stuff in the future, it’s a lot of fun 🤔🤔

I ended up with a completely NEW pinterest board of 125 art deco related pins over the course of drawing this... help

the flames in the “The Grand Panacea” poster were inspired by these two posters

(I don’t really want to say this anonymously but I’d rather present as my Danganronpa blog rather than my primary one, so that blog is @chisalovebot) I cannot describe to you how happy your posts make me. I tend to fixate heavily on post canon Danganronpa, both with the DR1 survivors running the new Hope’s Peak and 77-B up to their shenanigans on Jabberwock Island. I rotate these ideas in my head constantly and love seeing what other people think they’re up to. I feel like post canon is under appreciated, since you get all the room in the world for happiness and creativity but don’t lose the substance and tragedy of the canon. You drew Hajime and Ibuki together one time and it made me sososo happy bc they’re my favorite ship (you even got my headcanons spot on, bi and poly! I personally believe there’s hardly anyone monogamous on that island post canon lol) I hope to see you draw Hinabuki again, if you do I will be here for it!! :)

Taking A Break!

Hey y’all!!

Unfortunately, as I’ve mentioned, I’ve had little to no time to write between school & work & everything, and recently I’ve been getting sick (likely because of stress) and!! I’m worried I’m going to burn out if I keep this up :<

So! I’m going to be taking a break until at least January, and maybe even a tad longer after that. I might stick around to answer some asks here & there, but I don’t think I’m going to be as active as usual

As for the commission queue, the order of the wait list is going to stay the same, and if, throughout my break, you become interested in a commission, you can still message me and I’ll add you to the wait list ^^
