Hey.. if you are taking prompts, here’s my HP one:

Harmione/Harmony Drabble(with Alive!Jily in background): “Mom! Dad! I’m in love!” Harry said, enthusiastically.

Hey, Anon! I’ve never thought about taking prompts and/or writing something for them, but this is a new experience and I was really excited to give it a try! So, thank you!!

I’m not a big Harry Potter writer or fan, so hope you enjoy this little thing! It’s probably not exactly what you were asking/looking for.

Lily groans as James and Sirius break out into laughter next to her. Remus sighs, an amused smug grin betraying him as he sips on his tea.

“A week,” Lily laments to Remus, “I thought for sure it’d be at least a month before he barges in my office, yelling for all to hear, about being in love.”

Remus snorts. “Still better than the single day it took James.”

Lily scoffs but doesn’t deny it. She’d probably strangle Sirius if he was the one to actually win the bet. Better to lose to Remus than either of the other two.

Still, it’s a bit disappointing to know all those lectures and moral story-tellings she gave her son have only held him off for a week. But what else could she have expected. He is a Potter.

Hopefully, Harry will remember her other lectures and not bombard the poor one that’s caught his eye and heart with dramatics as his father did. At least being a professor will allow her to keep a close eye on him (and observe the one he’s fallen for. He’s still her son; she has to be sure that whoever the witch - or wizard! - is that they’re even a bit good enough for him).

With some good natured grumbling, she hands off the agreed upon winnings. Remus takes them with a polite, but cheeky, thanks.

James and Sirius have moved on from laughter to celebration in the background.

Temporarily forgotten in the moment, Harry flushes red; thoroughly embarrassed by his family’s antics. Merlin, Hermione will never think he’s cool if she saw this.

Does Ka’hara have a specific research area?

I think her favourite area of research is looking into jedi lineages! She loves to search through the archives and study the different fighting styles and force techniques passed down from master to Padawan. You could name any jedi Knight to her and she'll tell you who their master, grandmaster, and so on was!.

Other than that i think her guilty pleasure is the history of Jedi robes lol, she likes to see how the styles have changed over the years so she'll sneak holos out of the archives and study them on her free time hehe

Hello professor! Do you have any general care tips for darkrai? They’ve always been my favorite Pokémon in general, and I was looking into having one in the future!

Hello! As it happens, I do and I'm happy to share them! Cut because long post, whoops.

Overall, Darkrai is actually a great choice for a Mythical Pokemon. I didn't put it on the Beginner Legendary list because of the whole nightmare powers thing, but that's not so bad if you have Lunar Wings and/or a good tolerance for scary dreams.

Lunar Wings are available online or from pretty much anyone with a Cresselia, as they shed pretty frequently. There are a lot of knockoffs, but a real Lunar Wing will last forever as long as it's not damaged - still, it's worth buying several. I wouldn't recommend shelling out for an unusually colored Lunar Wing, because those are more likely to be knockoffs and don't make any difference.

Don't put a Lunar Wing on a Darkrai. It will completely suppress their nightmare powers, but that's not healthy for it, and can cause illness, lethargy, or even pain. Only do it temporarily if you HAVE to, which should be rare.

Fun fact: Most Darkrai can't actually present nightmares that are frightening to the individual, but rather prey on common fears such as monsters, humiliation, the dark, death, and similar. Nightmares that target uncommon fears or an individual's personal fears are the mark of a well-trained Darkrai. This also means that if you don't suffer from the most common fears, you'll probably be unaffected!

Part of receiving an individual license for a Darkrai is being intentionally targeted by nightmare powers, both from a Darkrai with average and honed nightmare powers. Bringing a Lunar Wing to the exam, while technically cheating, is considered a sign of good planning and good humor unless you actually try to be sneaky about it.

Darkrai are naturally solitary, but quite like socializing with Pokemon that aren't of their own species (Darkrai shouldn't be kept together unless they're family or already get along well). Most Pokemon naturally avoid Darkrai but can be acclimated to them fairly easily.

For the safety of you/other Pokemon and Darkrai's comfort, having a dark spot they can retreat to, specifically for them, is great.

Darkrai tend to enjoy puzzle cubes/similar toys for Pokemon with simplistic but workable hands. They also have some degree of psychic power, meaning enrichment stuff aimed at Psychic Pokemon can be enjoyable for them.

The best way to train a Darkrai to be careful with its nightmare powers is not to scold them for using said powers, but to reward them when they don't - especially in a frightening or overstimulating situation. Most Darkrai won't have much trouble with this.

Darkrai don't like a lot of bright lights or noise, and tend to be nocturnal or crepuscular (active at dawn and dusk). The ideal Trainer to match a Darkrai's usual personality would be a fairly quiet, not overly extroverted night owl.

Thanks to not being huge, Darkrai don't need a ton of space as long as they have a quiet place to hang out in. Similarly, their habitat needs are fairly minimal and they're not territorial beyond the desire for a small space of their own. If I make a list of Legendary/Mythical Pokemon you could ethically keep in an average apartment, Darkrai would be on it.

Darkrai need an average of six to seven and a half hours of sleep per day, but this varies upward (rarely lower) depending on their health, age, diet, and other factors. They also nap frequently.

Darkrai love to observe things. They will stare at you. A lot. It can be creepy.

Darkrai are omnivorous, but also feed off of dreams and negative energy like Shuppet, Drowzee, or Munna do. This means that Trainers who work well with their Darkrai usually report a calmer, more relaxed mental state with the odd nightmare. That's not a reason not to be careful, Darkrai nightmares can be extremely upsetting to some people (I myself couldn't train a Darkrai because I don't handle that well), but overall Darkrai aren't a drain on mental health...contrary to popular opinion.

Darkrai get slandered hard in a lot of media and public opinion. While there was that fantastic movie set in Alamos Town a while ago, most portrayals of Darkrai paint them as unsympathetic at best and their nightmare powers give them an awful reputation. As such, prepare for scrutiny from your neighbors, friends, or family - or even strangers. People will absolutely try to make your Pokemon their business.

Darkrai are in reality quite relaxed, nonaggressive Pokemon and 90% of the time, if threatened, they will give you a nightmare and book it. Some people expecting a scary, dark Pokemon actually end up disappointed because the majority of Darkrai are so chill.

🌞 day version: max v and oscar, two of the company’s most talented devs, are put together on a project to launch a new product in a timeframe that other people have said is “impossible”. the whole team expects fireworks, but it turns out the two of them are just really good at their jobs. they have a brutally efficient 30 minute daily standup with the team and everyone works super hard but smart and it’s clinically excellent. like. the industry has never seen such a painless and efficient build before. also they are the most aggressive demonstrators of end of day clean desk policy. oscar only has a single potted plant on his. max has only pictures of his two cats in minimal black photo frames. they both use wet wipes aggressively.

🌚 after dark version:

the same thing, but lando and charles start to get jealous about the time max and oscar are spending together. to the point where other people notice and comment. and also oscar and max talk in unintelligible programming shorthand and have too many in jokes. so then, after hours, oscar and max discuss what they should do about this. having run through waterfall scenarios and decision trees of all possible options, both of them blurt out, at exactly the same time:

✧ It didn't matter, The tiny ghost was currently in the process of trying to commit a felony, though North didn't seem all surprised by that. She quickly grabbed the ghost dragging her away as Wisteria clawed at the air, she seemed to be determined to win the fight and put an end to the fox's reign of terror in her life.

North: You can't keep attacking him all the time Steria, that's not very nice, stop it! Hey! Hey!

✧ Wisteria desperately squirmed for freedom, but North wasn't going to let that happen. She instead turned the ghost's attention towards herself. Her voice was calm but serious.

North: You wouldn't like it if he hit you, would you? You know he doesn't like hurting people! He would never hit you! So don't hit him! Babys are fragile and soft! North: Plus! If you keep hitting him like that you're just going to make him hate you, then I'd be super sad!

“Harry my sweetheart. I know it's scary, starting kindergarten. I was scared too, but I soon got used to it.”

“Y You will be here to pick me up after it’s over, right?”

Lily crouches in front of her son, gently removing his grip from her pants. “Hey sweetheart, it’s alright.” 

Harry shuffles closer to her, trying to hide away from the world. “I don’t wanna go. I wanna go home.” 

“But baby, you can make lots of friends here. Wouldn’t that be fun?” 

He shakes his head, throwing his arms around her neck for a hug. And to hopefully be carried away, she muses with a silent sigh. If only James was here to help, but he got called into work early. She’ll need to be on the look-out for extravagant apology gifts; he was really looking forward to Harry’s first day. 

“Hey, can you look at me?” It takes a moment, but Harry pulls away slightly to look up at her. “There’s my beautiful boy.” 

“Now, baby, I know this is scary. And that’s okay. I was scared too.” 

“You?” 

“Oh, of course. I wouldn’t let go of my mum and dad for anything. But you know what finally made me let go, sweetheart?” 

“What?” 

“Well, my dad said to me, ‘If you are brave today, you’ll have taken the first step to being even braver later. And then someday, there won’t be anything left to be scared of.’” 

Harry thinks this over for a moment, slowly pulling further away from her. His eyes glance back and forth from the door his class is just beyond, and her. 

“You’ll be back, right? You’ll be here when it’s over?” 

“Of course I will. I promise.” 

He nods, hesitantly letting go of his hold on her. Lily smiles, leaning forward to press a kiss to his forehead. 

“My beautiful, brave boy.”

Out Of Character Ask

So…since the Treasures of Ruin are also introduced as a new legendary quartet in Scarlet and Violet, what will their lore be here? A number of cursed artifacts, with the “main” four being the ones that the ancient Paldan king held on to and their “modern” appearance being from the shrines being opened and a number of them scattering all over, some even managing to get onto and hide on planes or boats to get to other regions?

Obviously, they’d immediately be on the Dangerous Legendary Permit given their very nature, as even if they end up proving surprisingly docile when not angered, they’re still incredibly dangerous living artifacts that are called the Treasures of Ruin for a reason, down to their signature Runation attack. Also, horrible first Legendaries for the same reasons.

I do have plans for the Treasures of Ruin, basically that they propagated freely for a while and many were born from cursed artifacts, but all of them were locked away. The sheer disturbance of the Paradox Event will affect more than just the paradox Pokemon! I actually was going to post about that weeks ago, I honestly just forgot...thanks for reminding me! Lol.

But yeah, they'd end up classed as Dangerous and Bad Beginners immediately. Even Chien Pao, playing innocently as it does, is incredibly deadly. Not for the faint of heart!))

24 (What other character from another fandom of yours that reminds you of them?) for Roxy

Thanks for copying the question here buddy I appreciate that a lot (I can't load the post on my phone or my own blogs at all still)

Uhhhh honestly, Roxy's pretty different to a lot of my usual other blorbos. I could compare her to Labrys from Persona 4 Arena in a sense that they're both robots with horrible trauma that have been forced to do things they wouldn't dream of doing otherwise, but that doesn't feel like a great comparison ngl

I could compare her to a lot of blorbos though. Like Bracken from Ni No Kuni 2, Unit #024 and Labrys from Persona 4 Arena, for being chronically underutilized by the devs. Maybe PURL from Kuni 2 but PURL feels more... Like an opposite to Mimic? The first attempt at sentient AI in that world, determined to answer the question of what colour is the sky for herself... Only knows a few things, a child her closest friend, and accidentally takes over the wholeass factory in her attempts to see the sky again after like a decade of being deactivated. And also because the devs couldn't think of anything interesting for a new Broadleaf area so they wanted to make sure you did the wholeass factory again for some fucking reason.

Ohhh then again, I was watching those clips last night and Toothless and Hiccup made me think of Roxy and Cassie in an AU kind of way. Mostly because of the dogisms I like to give Roxy and because of several AUs that are more in line with How to Train Your D/ragon... (Put a slash in it to make extra sure I don't end up in any searches for that) So maybe Toothless? Maybe not?

Honestly I don't think I've ever liked a character that has shown much interest in their appearance before. Maybe Erza from Fairy T/ail? Looks cool and could kill you but has zero braincells whatsoever? Also very traumatised? Koromaru from P3 cause his persona is Cerberus and Roxy is the Cerberus to Mimic? And I can see her running around with a knife in her teeth? I dunno man that's a tough question

Ohhh there was also Blaze from the Sonic games! Not because of Roxy specifically, but because in coming up with a horse for her, many of the ideas for it was giving my Blaze vibes lmao. She has a horse in the Olympic games and it's pure white with light purple tack and possibly eyes I don't remember so yeah that kept popping to mind in coming up with a horse nsjsdj

And I suppose my OC Zephyr somewhat reminds me of her. That whole universe I made was started when I got so deep into a Pupcakes/Roxica Pirates AU that I decided to make it a whole thing and Zephyr is who Roxy in the story became. I like Zephyr she's very cool and has become very distinct from Roxy, but her roots are still there, ya know? I'll always remember where she started.

Jsisjsi I could associate Roxy with Disney's Bolt too just cause he's a superhero dog and a funny lil guy. And for some reason one of the OST tracks for the DS game will plague my mind for the rest of my days. Even though I'm thinking of every track but that one right now. It's the one for Bolt's part of the... Something Temple level. Bolivia? Belize??? I think it has a B in it... But anyway yeah Superdog! Hooray!

P03 from Inscryption too but mostly because it's tech themed, and I had that old AU where I drew her as the Scrybe of Technology. Inscryption is incredible btw I fucking love it. I suck at it apparently though. I got to Act 2 and played a fucking beefed up Ouroborus in the first stage of P03's fight like "oh I've got this fucker now!!" No I did not. I absolutely did that. Stoatal misplay. Could not have fucked that up more lmao anyone that's played or seen this game will know exactly what ended up happening there nsjdjdi I FORGOT okay?? I forgot!!!

BACK ON TOPIC yeah Roxy's a pretty different character to the norm for me. Genuinely can't think of anyone that might be similar to her enough for them to remind me of her if I saw them again. Maybe if I went back and watched the old My Little Pony from the fucking 70s or whatever, but it would just be the standard stereotype of "all girls care lots about their appearance and gasp in horror if you dirty a pretty dress" probably. You know the one. I do my best not to humour that shit in my own Roxy interpretation but it's hard to forget that's absolutely where her written personality stems from :/
