Here is the beginning of a little series (I might finish in like three days depending-) to properly introduce my characters! As adults! Information about him will be under the cut :D
Name: Wisteria Petal Flutter
Species: skeleton/[redacted]
Gender: "wait what's gender again-"
Occupation: clothing taylor
Pronouns: he/him
Height: 4'9
Misc: Wisteria is the first born child of Lilac. He and Lilac have an odd soul connection, they can subconsciously tell what the other is feeling at all times.
Wisteria, even from a young age, talked about or said things that he either wouldn't normally know about or things that ended up coming true.
Half the time, he doesn't even realize what he's saying or what it means. It's kinda ominous, but everyone got used to it pretty quickly
When he was eight, he and Lilac moved into Nightmare's mansion, and he's lived there ever since.

I wanted to redraw the baby because I wasn't pleased with the first design. My headcanon is that all young dragons/dragonlings need extra fluff on their clothing because they have yet to build up that natural draconic body heat.
Tumblr media
(Also wanted to redraw Wisteria because I wasn't pleased with the first design too so I'll just reput their info)
The catalyst to Necromancer's memory blanks. Wisteria had Clockwork's guard lowered by asking for innocent wishes (back when Clockwork just did it for people). But one day when Wisteria asked for his daughter's hand, he naturally said no when he realized Wisteria knew TOO MUCH about her when Stellar (Necromancer's old name) never even knew Wisteria.
Because of this, Wisteria forced Stellar to fall in love with them via a love potion. Clockwork, being extremely powerful, banished Wisteria and was forced to make a terrible choice. Using his magic he erased his own child's mind as it was the ONLY way to cure the affects of the love potion at the time. Wisteria eventually found a temporary mate and had Mangosteen, before that having adopted Lychee after Longan went dormant, making false promises to them that Necromancer would be their "mama".
Their own poison is extremely deadly as only one thing can cure it. Their Nectar...which is their blood. The Poisoning happens in four stages,
First: Infection
Second: Purple splotches appear on the skin and you fall into a coma
Third: Horrible nightmares
Fourth: Death
And note, it's difficult to find out that only their Nectar can cure it.
In an rp, Wisteria attacked the Dark Cacao Kingdom cause that's where Necromancer resided as a doctor (ironically). Dark Cacao's fiance Dark Mousse Cookie got poisoned, but she managed to briefly wake from her coma and one of the things she managed to utter before falling under again was about the dragon's nectar.
He didn't know if it would cure the poison or make it worse so he had to take a shot in the dark and Necromancer went to retrieve it. So Necromancer had to fight this bitch, luckily managed to cut their hide enough to bottle the nectar and save the kingdom from mass death.
Wisteria knows they don't NEED to wear extra fluff anymore, but they just grew to like the look of it. And because of their clown look it is really easy to mistake them for Lychee's bio parent.

Since we've had the time recently, me and Jelly have decided to develop our characters a bit more!! Here's some silly sketches to go along with some of Cypress' character descriptions:))
Cypress is a skittish, viola-playing 12 year old that's nearly always seen alongside his "sibling" Wisteria, owning a ruffled up fox mask and wearing a sewed dark brown scarf. His favorite hobbies include playing his viola and singing backing vocals in songs with Wisteria, but he also sews and journals his many findings of different types of plants, being very interested in how they work and live. His relationship with Wisteria is very close, and although he's the same age as them, he tends to have an older-brother type role in their sibling-ship, always looking after them and letting them know when they've gone too far with their pranks on other kids. Cypress is known to be a constant overthinker as well, coming from his abusive home life he escaped from only recently. He's also very skeptical, and won't believe things at face value, also making him a bit stubborn. Although he's very book smart, he lacks many street smarts from being sheltered from his old friends, to barely being allowed outside until his recent escape.
P.S, he is also demiboy:)

It's Griffin and his weird bird! (Close-up and Lore under the cut)
Tumblr media
Marcus (left) is a Necromancer. He was born in Wisteria to a long line of seraph-kin, and was meant to go to Pigswick before he found he was most successful with Death magic. He transferred to Ravenwood just before the incident with Malistare, but refused to go back home after the chaos started.
Griffin (right) is a Musketeer. He's an orphan, but was raised by a member of the Marleybone navy after his family died in a storm. He worked in smuggling, and is extremely well-known for it still, doing shipments for Marleybone and any pirate that pays well enough.
Marcus and Griffin met as little kids when Marleybone would send shipments to Wisteria. They'd play together when the ships were docked, then send letters when they were away. After Griffin had to go into hiding to get better at smuggling, he cut contact with Marcus for a few years. It's only by chance that Marcus ended up in the wrong part of the spiral and Griffin found and helped him.
They're best buds, and I like to think they regularly visit eachother once the Armada chills out (Aka Ryan distracts them). Ravenwood fears when Griffin shows up, if only because he teaches the storm students how to shoot his guns. Griffin's crew doesn't mind Marcus' visits, but it hampers their fun because they suddenly have to be super careful not to get Marcus noticed.

The Storm
This post was delayed due to dumbass technical issues. I managed to save it from annihilation by the skin of my teeth, and learned an important lesson about saving drafts along the way.
Long time no blog. As it's currently storming where I am, I feel it's time to watch this one.
Tumblr media
Aang in the opening credits has his tongue out like a dog on a car ride. Now picturing a car full of airbenders hanging their heads out the window.
Tumblr media
It's been long enough since I watched one of these that I forgot that dream sequences tend to be tinted brown. Had a two second panic trying to remember the episode where Sokka learned airbending.
Tumblr media
I wanted to see more of Gyatso but not like this!
Tumblr media
Appa the morning person.
Tumblr media
Hey Zuko's back. Haven't seen him in a few episodes. Pipi Longstocking hair is still doing him no favours. Also is he really pale this episode?
I feel like Zuko's intelligence varies wildly from episode to episode (usually to serve the plot) but this may be a new depth of dumbness: tell the crew to their faces that their lives don't matter. You know, the crew that prevents the thing you're standing on in the middle of the ocean from sinking. The crew that keeps you fed and actually going somewhere. That crew.
On the other hand, Zuko's method for creating mutiny may break a world record for efficiency. He's such a dumb smart guy.
Tumblr media
I'm with Katara on this one. I don't like that swishing either. And if they're out of money, why were they in a market anyway?
And with a kick to the rear, this episode's 'violence towards Sokka for laughs' quota is filled.
Tumblr media
Never before in the history of humanity's hubristic quest to tame the seas has a wharf ever been this clean.
Tumblr media
And I'm with the crewman on this one too. Zuko's actions really do line up with him not caring about anything beyond his own concerns.
Tumblr media
Talk about rock and a hard place for Iroh here. From what I've gathered, it's Zuko's ship, which means that Zuko's in charge of everything including keeping order. But, Zuko is also being unreasonable in the face of a very reasonable complaint from the crew. So Iroh has to pacify both while undermining neither, and not appear to be in command. Takes delicacy.
Tumblr media
Appa gets a mooring! Also what is that cave back there?
Tumblr media
I was hoping the show would bring this up! To anyone who isn't riding along on Aang's adventures, it sure does look like the Avatar disappeared when he was needed most, continued to stay gone no matter how bad things got, and then just reappeared randomly one day with seemingly no plan to set set things right. Did he reappear to fight the firelord? According to rumour, he reappeared to ride giant koi. What would the average person be left thinking? The fisherman is right. And Katara - will you please let Aang fight his own battles for once in his life?
Aang being the bravest person you know? Do you not remember this?
Tumblr media
You know, this?
"That fisherman was way out of line."
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Poor guy needs a blow dry. Should be possible, what with airbending and all. Didn't know that Appa had a goatee. Actually the facial hair in general in this show is pretty creative.
Tumblr media
If this is going to be the exposition dump storytelling episode, we may all need an emotional support Momo.
These air scooter shenanigans are making me think that the first lesson airbenders learn is how to nullify motion sickness.
Tumblr media
Is this the first airbending we see by someone that isn't Aang or Appa?
Tumblr media
Someone's been taking fashion tips from Narcissa Malfoy.
Tumblr media
Oh fuck off that's too much pressure for a kid. Nice Wisteria though.
Isn't the toys thing a thing in the real world? Something to do with the Dalai Lama?
If Avatars have to be told that they're the Avatar, that implies that they don't know instinctively. Theoretically, could an isolated avatar living in peace time go their whole lives without figuring it out?
Oh wise and learned council of airbenders, please tell me how relying on a 12 year old is going to save you from a war?
Tumblr media
Baby Zuko! Baby scarless Zuko! He looks like just the prettiest little princess in these shots. Also, either this happened not all that long ago, or Zuko is majorly overdue a growth spurt, because he's maybe one inch shorter in this flashback. Also also, Pipi Longstocking hair doesn't work no matter how much hair you have to put up. Also also also, the whole reverse tonsure look he has going on in the present really downplays how round his face is. He's got chubby baby cheeks. Also also also also, if Zuko is as much of a prince as his title implies, he's right that he needs to know how to rule.
Tumblr media
I have picked up over the course of this show the fact that the fire nation seems to prioritise aesthetic. But this is just ridiculous. And a bit on the nose too. A literal wall of fire dividing you from the commoners? Not even the commoners, the highly esteemed generals in charge of your war? How does this guy see or hear anything that's going on?
Katara asking Aang why he wouldn't be excited about being the Avatar seems out of character for me. Why exactly would he be excited about being catapulted to the number one spot on the fire nation's 'enemies of the state' list? It's not like Katara doesn't know what happens to people on that list.
Tumblr media
Don't worry about these jerks. They'll all be immolated in a little bit.
Smelly kid jokes. That's some peak 90s comedy right there.
I love Gyatso. Solidly in Aang's corner and happy to advocate for his charge even against grumpy temple elders. Never loses sight of the fact that Aang is just a boy and needs balance.
This Zuko disrespecting old farts stuff is nonsense. Like when you get called in to HR for 'walking disrespectfully past Sherri's desk' or 'aggressive choice of footwear' and you know it's just because they're looking for a bullshit reason to fire you/force you to quit because the owner's nephew wants your job and they don't want to pay for severance or unemployment. If pointing out obvious flaws in objectively stupid plans is an offence worthy of an honour duel (I'm not even going to try and spell the actual name), then this guy needs to be dueled too:
Tumblr media
He called bullshit too.
No
No no they're not actually going to
oh fuck no
hang on he doesn't have his scar yet is this going where I think it's going?
Tumblr media
Back to idiot monks phew. Another rock and a hard place situation. Aang needs to be a normal 12 year old. The world needs a fully trained Avatar. The best they can do is a half trained 12 year old avatar. That would have ended well I'm sure.
Oh yeah just yank out the remainders of Aang's support system. That will certainly encourage him to quickly develop into a responsible adult, rather than an emotionally disturbed 12 year old with unmatchable uncontrolled powers. What were these monks thinking? Or were they thinking at all? Were they just panicking? Because only Gyatso seems to have his head on straight. Upset avatars destroy things - we've SEEN that - and these monks think the best way to turn Aang into the Avatar they need is to do something that will upset him probably more than any other possible thing? At least they didn't think to take away Appa too.
Katara's right. He does have a right to be angry. I like that this show gives the characters permission to feel.
Indulging my inner pedant for a minute, he never saw Gyatso alive again. His bones were in pretty good condition. Actually, given that firebenders killed him, why weren't his bones covered in scorch marks? Also, is that where all the other airbender skeletons went? Instant cremation?
The fisherman's right - the avatar did turn his back on the world. Aang's right - he did run away. Katara's right - not running away wouldn't have saved anyone. Kudos to a kids' show for not flinching from tackling topics that have no right answers. Yay nuance!
oh god here we go
Tumblr media
Free life tip: If you ever see a dependent and/or child assume this position at the feet of their guardian, call the relevant authorities. Quickly.
And of course there's a crowd of hundreds too. Nothing like a little public mutilation of children to flex your power over the masses. This firelord's ego is so fragile.
So that's where the scar comes from. Also the firelord's line about learning respect casts a new light on when Zuko said he'd teach respect to the crewman at the beginning of the episode. Guess he was channelling the firelord.
Tumblr media
Big repsect to Zuko for the above. He's never lacked in bravery. This is the opposite of the "shameful weakness" nonsense.
"Things will never return to normal." THANK YOU
Why is Zuko in such a hurry to go home to that anyway? Seems like the only person who likes him is his uncle, and he's travelling with him.
Tumblr media
This is odd. I've always felt like I know Aang, and hearing his story this episode just confirms that I do know him, who he is, what makes him tick. And it lets me know him better. I've deepened an already deep understanding of who he is. However, I thought I had a surface (if jumbled) understanding of Zuko, but hearing his story this episode, and especially the final series of shots, the way they frame him as alone in darkness contrasted with brightly lit memories, makes me sure that I've never known Zuko at all. Who is this guy? I feel like this is meeting him for the first time.
There's also definitely something worth examining in the fact that Aang tells his own story but Iroh tells Zuko's (beyond the fact that Aang is the only person left who could tell his story).
Tumblr media
Thank god some comic relief. Not a moment too soon.
Tumblr media
I didn't know firebenders could do that. Judging by his face, I don't think he did either.
Tumblr media
The judgmental energy in this shot is unparalleled.
"I'm not but I still don't wanna!" This old couple has some seriously good lines.
Appa saves the day once again, this time with an assist from the Avatar powers. I swear if Appa's existence was paired with Sokka's brain they could do the Avatar's job no problem.
Zuko apologises. That is good. But is it Iroh he should be apologising to?
"I'm here now and I'm going to make the most of it." A lovely message to conclude a show on. But are we going to gloss over the whole 'father mutilates his son BARELY offscreen' thing?
Tumblr media
Appa shakes!
Final Thoughts
This section could very easily devolve into increasingly hysterical ranting about the whole ZUKO JUST GOT HALF HIS FACE BURNED OFF AS A FORM OF COURT ENTERTAINMENT thing. Lord have mercy the fire nation is fucked up. To prevent that, I am going to share one thought, and only one thought on that fiasco:
this is the first time I've really felt that I'm not the target audience of this show. If I had seen this at 8 or 10 years old, I would have been appropriately mad at the firelord for doing such a bad thing, but it would have made perfect sense, because he's a bad guy, and they have to do bad guy things. It's what makes them bad guys. As an adult, with more knowledge in general, but especially about things like power dynamics and the long term consequences of child abuse, I am valiantly fighting not to spiral down a path of horrific implications because I want to be able to sleep tonight. From both a political and a familial point of view, there was no one (who wasn't 12 and frozen) who could have stepped in. It was the firelord who did it; it appears that there is no one above him in the fire nation hierarchy. It's Zuko's father who did it; good luck getting a kid to stand up to a father in front of an audience of hundreds in a culture that obviously worships a bastardised concept of respect (zuko tried though). Iroh couldn't (or wouldn't) interfere on either political or familial grounds. As an adult, seeing a child (because Zuko may be 16 in the show but that boy kneeling is BABY) stuck in such a situation, knowing there's literally no way to get out of it, no hero going to swoop in and save the day, no judicial process to dish out consequences, well that's hard to watch. And that's all I'll say about that.
Here's a thought: did the avatar (not Aang, but the figure/concept of the Avatar) disappearing fail Zuko, and by extension the fire nation, as much as it failed the other three nations? And the natural follow-along to that thought: did the fire nation attacking the rest of the world hurt the fire nation as much as it hurt the rest of the world?
Aang made a mistake many years ago by running away. He gets to redeem himself by not running away and saving Sokka and the fisherman. Zuko made a mistake at the beginning of the episode by undervaluing the lives of his crew (to their faces, no less). He gets to redeem himself by saving the helmsman and letting the Avatar pass in favour of getting the crew to safety. But I don't think these stories are really parallel. Aang's natural impulse was the mistake. He learned from it, modified his behaviour, and did better the next chance he got. Zuko's natural impulse was to act as he should have. He was taught (violently) that this was incorrect behaviour, and modified his behaviour based on his father's teachings. This modification (not valuing the crew) is the mistake. In Zuko's case, learning from the experience and modifying his behaviour actually means unlearning the lesson he was taught and reverting to his former behaviour. Aang's natural state needed modification; Zuko's externally imposed behaviour needed to be forgotten. Not parallel.
Aang = hope is an interesting conclusion. It's only possible for him to represent hope because he dashed everyone's hopes by disappearing and staying gone. If the avatar had defeated the fire nation 100 years ago and prevented a war from ever happening, he would not have been a symbol of hope. I don't know what he would have been a symbol of, but it's the fact that he's been gone long enough for things to get really bad that makes him a symbol of hope in the present. So if Aang was always meant to be hope, then he was always meant to get frozen.
Aang = hope is also interesting in that it positions Zuko on the side of the enemies of the fire nation. If Aang represents hope to the world, and Aang represents hope to Zuko, then Zuko is not on the Fire Nation side of the conflict (whether he knows it or not).
The humour in this episode was minimal but very welcome. The old couple was heaps of fun, Sokka got a couple of good lines (although never enough - still waiting on a Sokka episode), and the juxtaposition of humour and very serious themes was artfully handled. It was never jarring or tonally off. The switching back and forth between the two story threads was well done too, especially how they tied in at the end.
I'm kind of annoyed that Katara got relegated to shouty defender of the actually-a-little-bit-guilty or Agony Aunt. She deserves better. I'm not at all annoyed that Momo filled the role of cuddle administration. That was lovely to see.
It didn't even occur to me to check if the art/animation in this episode was pretty. That's usually a primary concern with me, but I was too wrapped up in the plot to notice.
I can't believe a kids' show went there, but they did. And they did it well. This episode felt much longer than 20-ish minutes, in a good way. It was packed. Definitely going on my rewatch list.

HERE I AM Okay so from my list, I picked out asking for a part 2 for "Kind Demon", that one where Shinobu travels to an island to investigate a demon protecting a village, so how about for this Shinobu has been occasionally visiting, whenever her duties would let her, and the kind demon and her have gotten to know each other a little, but suddenly she receives news that a bunch of ships from that island are coming inland with as many of the villagers they can hold but even then there's still some that needs to be gone back to, the villagers are evacuating because a stronger, more evil demon has popped up and wants to ravage them all but is currently being held back by the kind demon while they're also trying their best to protect the remaining villagers, they're weaker than this demon and is starting to tire out, a misstep causes them to be greatly vulnerable and dealt a devastating blow, Shinobu arrives on time to deal with the foe and tends to her demon friend's injuries, and it takes them a while to recover, or even wake up, but it's well in the end and the villagers are taken care and given a new safer location and their kind demon protector can officially keep protecting them once they're better (Shinobu also gets to visit a little more often cause now they're closer)

Kind Demon Part II
Shinobu Kochou x They/Them Demon Reader
A/N: Here you two go, hope you like it! If anyone is concerned about the possibility the village kid dying, don’t be. They get hurt, but Shinobu fixes them up : ) Writing fights is so harrrrd 😫 Word Count: 4,110
Shinobu had been walking along the harbor, browsing the markets. It was not often that she was sent to this sector so when she had finished her mission the night before, she decided to hang back a day or two.
She had intended to stop by the now familiar small island in the distance to pop in and give (Y/n) a visit the next night, but when she heard of the commotion taking place at the docks, she stopped her browsing to investigate the forlorn crowd forming near the churning waves.
“Easy now! Don’t topple the damn boats! We have to try to make at least five more trips before sundown!” One of the men shouted over the chaos.
Shinobu weaved through the crowd and saw a few familiar faces clambering out of the small fishing boats that rocked dangerously from the weight displacement.
“What is going on…” Shinobu caught sight of Sora pulling Arika and her baby bundled in her arms out onto the docks, both looked just as worn and upset as the rest of the passengers. Arika looked up and met Shinobu’s gaze, swiftly navigating the crowd to meet her.
“Kochou-san,” the tone of the usually chipper and boisterous woman set Shinobu further on edge, something had clearly gone wrong.
“What’s happened?” She asked, leading Arika away from the crowded docks with Sora weaving around the people behind him.
“A demon,” Arika spoke breathlessly as if she couldn’t believe what she was saying, “a demon stronger than (Y/n) found his way onto the island. He’s destroying the village. (Y/n) managed to keep him at bay last night and they were able to tell some of us to gather everyone to the boats to evacuate. We lost track of them before sunrise so who knows what’s happening to them now.”
“They’ll be okay,” Sora patted his sister’s shoulder, “(Y/n)-san always come out in top, right?” He swallowed, unsure of his own words.
“They will be fine, I’ll make sure of it.” Shinobu stated with confidence.
“Kochou-san, no offense, but you should stay the hell away from there.” Arika warned, bouncing Hiroyuki a bit in her arms when the baby began to fuss.
“It’s my job to slay demons, and if this one thinks it can displace a whole village without any repercussions, it is sorely mistaken.” Shinobu took a piece of parchment from the breast pocket of her uniform and penned down a list of instructions to nearby wisteria houses before handing it off to Arika.
“Gather those who don’t have a place to stay, they’ll have free and safe lodging at these locations. I will reconvene with you all once this is over.”
“Kochou-san, are you sure this is okay?” Sora asked, peering over Arika’s shoulder to look at the paper.
“Yes,” Shinobu noticed the boats getting ready to go back for the next group and began to walk back up the docks, “Just keep everyone united. You’ll be okay.”
“Hey, wait!” Akari called after her, but Shinobu swiftly navigated the crowd once more and hopped into the nearest boat.
“Hey, missy! This isn’t a pleasure cruise you know!” The fisherman scolded.
“Of that I am well aware.” Shinobu smiled. “Hurry back now, we have many people to save, don’t we?”
“Don’t say I didn’t warn you.” The fisherman grumbled and the boat began moving along with the others in the direction of the island.
Shinobu barely had enough time to exit the boat before the villagers waiting at the docks began piling in. She did her best to keep order and peace while the boats were loaded and sent back to the mainland with the next group.
Then she gathered as much intel about the night before as she could with the frightened villagers that still remained, waiting anxiously for their turns and monitoring the sun closely as it steadily moved westward.
Most people were still in shock, and Shinobu couldn’t blame them. The island was a wreck. Smashed buildings, craters in the ground, lines of splintered trees… she could only imagine how hard of a time (Y/n) was having fending off the other demon all by themself.
She had no way of knowing where the demons had taken refuge from the sun. According to the villagers, (Y/n) had done a good job trying to lead the demon away from the evacuating masses. Just before sunrise was when they noticed that they couldn’t hear them fighting anymore.
Shinobu bid her time, helping villagers who had sustained injuries from crumbling buildings and falls. As she went, she told the people what their options were and what to expect once they reached the harbor. Amongst the nervous chatter as the last groups were piling into the boats beneath the orange sky, a woman wailed, catching Shinobu’s attention. She immediately went over to investigate.
“I can’t go yet! I can’t find my little girl!” The woman sobbed, pushing away from the fisherman who tried to pull her into the boat.
“You can’t stay here, it’s too dangerous. We’ll look for her again in the morning when it’s safer.”
“No! I can’t leave without her! Izumi!” She wrenched herself free, yelling her daughter’s name desperately. Her cries caught in her throat when Shinobu came to rest a gently hand on her back
“Your daughter’s name is Izumi, you say? I’ll help you find her. When did you last see her?” Shinobu asked as soft, yet firmly, as she could.
“I’ve been searching since we got separated in the chaos last night. She- she could be anywhere!” She hiccuped, rubbing at her already red and irritated eyes. “My husband took our other children to the harbor earlier today, I can’t leave my little girl all alone!”
“I understand,” Shinobu frowned, “but you cannot stay here. I will look for your daughter and try to bring her back to you in the morning.”
“You’ll need to do better than try!” The woman shouted.
“Trying is the best I can give you.” Shinobu explained, sympathetic to the woman’s position, “I can’t promise you that she is alright, a lot of time has passed already. I can promise you that should I find her, I will do everything in my power to bring her back to you.”
Shinobu was not the type to share unbridled optimism. She never made promises or assurances that she could not keep without one hundred percent certainty. The reality of the situation was that the girl could already be dead, and she didn’t want to dowse this woman’s hope, but it was important to prepare for the possibility that it was already too late.
“Go join the rest of your family, just for tonight. Don’t make them face the chance of losing two of the people they love. (Y/n)-san and I will do all that we can, but the more people stay here, the harder it will be to defeat the demon and protect everyone.”
The woman sobbed into her hands as Shinobu guided her back to the boat. It was clear she didn’t want to leave, but she forced herself to put all her faith into Shinobu and allowed herself to be pulled into the boat. It would be a long and sleepless night for her and her family to say the least.
Shinobu waited until all of the boats were on their way, then she began her search. The villagers had already checked every building and wreckage, so all that was left was the surrounding woods. Already the sun had nearly set, casting the deeper parts of the forest in shadow.
As she stepped out of the edge of the village and into the woods, she heard a heavy snap and a thud. In the distance, she could make out a huge plume of dust and sawdust as another loud snap and thud occurred, accompanied by a loud voice. she wasn’t able to discern what was said, but the bone chilling whoops and cackling made it clear to her that it certainly wasn’t (Y/n).
“Awfully boisterous now that the sun is gone, hm?” Shinobu murmured to herself while she began running in the direction of the fresh destruction taking place, “Let’s see if you can keep it up.”
***
“Come out, come out wherever you are! It’s time to play some more!” The demon hollered. As soon as the the last beam of light faded from the forest, the game was afoot once more.
It was all (Y/n) could do to keep Izumi safe. Even when the sun was high in the sky, they could not rest. They had to weave through narrow patches of shadow, sometimes burning themself in the process to get away from the demon slowly encroaching upon their space.
They tried to find a place with plentiful light to have Izumi run back to the village, but there was nowhere bright enough that she could cross quick enough to avoid the other demon. Thus, why the poor girl was still holding on to (Y/n)’s back for dear life as they ran through the darkened forest.
Izumi began to cry for not the first time in the last twenty-four hours and (Y/n) did their best to comfort her as trees started flying again. (Y/n) achieved a quick turn, catching the trunk of the tree in their arms. They used the momentum to spin around and send the tree back in the direction it came from before running again.
“I just don’t get it.”
(Y/n) gasped, pivoting quickly so the demon’s sharp nails shredded down their front instead of Izumi’s back.
“Why don’t you just eat her already? You’d be so much stronger if you did. All of the injuries you’ve sustained have weakened you, slowed you. Even if you manage to out maneuver me again tonight, do you really think she’ll survive another twenty-four hours?”
(Y/n) kicked the demon hard in the chest, sending him flying with an animalistic growl. They didn’t care how long they had to fight, as long as Izumi was with them, they refused to give up. Not until she was safe on a boat to the harbor. They didn’t care what happened to themself after that.
“Just hang on, Izumi-chan! We can’t give up!”
(Y/n) kept running back toward the village, praying no one else had been left behind. There had to be a small boat or a raft left, if they could push her out to sea, the current would send them in the direction of the harbor. Then they could fight unrestrained.
Dodging, running, kicking, shouting.
They were getting closer. Almost there! (Y/n) could hear the water lapping over the weather worn docks, but they could also hear the other demon closing in on them again. They dodged the incoming claws and braced themself to deliver another powerful kick, but instead they found their leg grabbed lightly in the demons other hand, shredding through skin and muscle.
“That old trick won’t work in me again!” The demon crowed, dropping into a lower stance, “How ‘bout a taste of your own medicine?”
Keeping hold of (Y/n)’s leg, he delivered a devastating kick that sent (Y/n) and Izumi flying. (Y/n) did their best to protect Izumi as they rolled, and when they came to a stop, they tried to stand, realizing then that their leg had been left in the other demon’s claws.
They were already so drained, it would take time for their leg to regenerate. There was no other choice.
“Izumi, run! Go to the docks, get a raft, let the current guide you.” (Y/n) hissed, trying to sit up.
“I’m scared!” Izumi sobbed, looking in every direction, completely turned around and overwhelmed.
“I know, but you can do this! Go, go straight! Don’t stop ‘til you hit the water. You can do it!”
Izumi shrieked, ducking down in (Y/n)’s arms instead. (Y/n) turned their head, fangs bared at the demon walking casually up to them.
“I’m tired of running around all night. Let’s finally finish this.”
(Y/n) pushed Izumi back and lurched forward, a weak attempt at a distraction. The demon caught them by the throat, lifting them off of the ground, squeezing with a bruising pressure.
Izumi tried to stumble to her feet, but the demon grabbed her by the shoulder, tearing into her skin and making her wail.
“Let her go!” (Y/n) commanded in a choked growl, veins bulging, blood vessels on the verge of bursting.
“I don’t think I will.“
He teared deeper into Izumi, carving a path down her back.
The screams, the scent of blood, the demon’s cackles, and the pressure encircling their throat caused (Y/n)’s mind to suddenly go dark.

Shinobu rocketed through the trees, for as swift as she was, it seemed like the battle was zigzagging all across the island, making it hard to pinpoint where she should be heading.
She ascended the highest tree she could find and scanned above the foliage for a definitive sign of the struggle. Her eyes landed on three shapes near the edge of the village, then she heard an awful scream and a earth rumbling roar. She kicked off of the branch, sailing through the air, sword drawn, and the name of a breathing technique on her lips.
However, before she could get into the heat of the battle amongst the wreckage of the village, a whimpering caught her attention. Shinobu peaked into a grouping of bushes, scaring Izumi, who laid curled within.
“Shh, shh, shh, it’s alright, I’ve got you now. Izumi-chan, is that your name?” Shinobu sheathed her sword once more to tend to the girl’s substantial injuries.
Izumi could only manage to bob her head as she attempted to keep quiet, well aware of the danger they were all still very much in.
“Your mother sent me to find you, let me try to take some of the hurt away, okay. I’ll protect you now.”
Shinobu pulled the shredded kimono aside, and began tending to the claw marks as best she could with her limited supplies. She wrapped the last of her bandages around Izumi’s shoulder and back. All the while she talked, trying to distract the poor girl from the awful snarls and roars in town.
“There we go, that’ll do for now. Let’s get a boat back to your mother.”
Izumi’s tears renewed,
“Can’t leave (Y/n)-san, they’re gonna die!”
“Don’t worry about (Y/n)-san, you leave that to me.”
“Will you make them feel better too? They hurt all over. You gotta!”
Shinobu’s brows furrowed in concern.
“I’ll do my very best. Come now, we need to be quiet.”
Though Shinobu was sure the little girl was the last thing on the demons’ minds now, better safe than sorry. Izumi was light enough for her to carry her to the dock and thankfully the small row boat Shinobu remembered seeing earlier in the day was still there, gently rolling with the waves. She set Izumi inside and got to work untangling the rope connecting the boat to the docks.
“Stay low in the boat, Izumi-chan. The sun will have risen before you get to land. The fisherman will begin sailing back around sunrise, if you see them, I want you to stand up, wave and yell as loud as you can, do you understand?”
Izumi have a shallow nod of understanding.
“Smart girl, brave girl.” Shinobu smiled, handing Izumi a little bladder of water that she had been carrying with her, “Off you go then.”
She gave the boat a good kick and watched until it was several yards away. Then she turned back in the direction of the ravaged village, giving her full attention to the roars and accompanying sounds of destruction.
Shinobu’s blood boiled. What a shameless demon to use the fact that (Y/n) needed to shield a child against them. How cowardly! She wouldn’t waste another moment in giving (Y/n) the assistance they needed. They were not hard to find this time around, right in the center of the village rubble. Shinobu’s mouth fell slightly agape when she saw the state (Y/n) was in.
Veins straining against their skin fit to burst, blood caked on nearly every inch of their body, large horns had sprouted out of their forehead and the most fearsome, bloodshot eyes Shinobu had ever seen. So different from the kind and gentle demon she had come to know. They looked so dangerous, like an actual demon.
“I’m gonna keep tearing in to you as long as it takes.” The other demon spat, the fun he had been having long gone, “I’m gonna leave you broken just in time for the sun to rise and I’m going to enjoy watching you burn away to nothing from the comfort of the shadows with that weak little girl as my breakfast!”
(Y/n) roared in reply and lunged forward at the other demon. Their mindless anger seemed to have accelerated their regenerative powers, but with every torn limb and gutting swipe, they were reaching their limit and in the state they were in, they didn’t seem to care.
“I’ll split you in two!” The other demon growled, reaching forward ready to do just that.
“Not if I have anything to say about it.”
Shinobu entered the battle in a blink, tripping (Y/n) up to offset their course, saving them from the other demon’s claws. She then aimed her sword to stab through the other demon’s chest, but he jumped back out of reach.
“Hah?! Who the hell are you?” The demon was even more ticked off now. Could somebody just die already?
Shinobu ignored him, putting a cautious hand against (Y/n)’s back while they breathed heavily in the dirt.
“(Y/n)-san, Izumi-chan is safe now, you just find a place to rest away from the sun while there’s still time. I’ll take care of this.”
(Y/n) growled and snapped at Shinobu’s quickly withdrawn hand. Shinobu refused to be intimidated.
“Don’t you snap at me. I’m only trying to help.”
“Hey! Don’t ignore me!” The other demon aimed to swipe at Shinobu and Shinobu was ready to dodge, but (Y/n) pushed her out of the way first, taking the blow unnecessarily.
“Stop! Getting! In! My! Way!” The demon howled, stomping (Y/n) into the dirt.
“I’ve had enough of you.”
Shinobu burst forward and the demon anticipated another frontal strike so he jumped back from the broken form of (Y/n) on the ground. However, that would not be enough, Shinobu moved as erratically as a dragonfly, bouncing off of trees and piercing the demon’s flesh several times before he could even figure out where she would strike next.
When Shinobu landed on one knee, her back to the demon, she turned back in time to watch the demon fall to his knees, clawing at his burning and bubbling flesh.
“What did you do to me?” He hissed, trying to crawl towards Shinobu, who simply walked passed him to crouch beside (Y/n).
She looked over their body with concern. They were no longer conscious and they just kept bleeding, if they were healing, it was too slow to be noticeable. Shinobu jerked her head up to look back towards the ocean, finding the colors of dawn on the horizon. She needed to get (Y/n) somewhere dark, quickly.
There was one building that was still half standing. There had to be a corner she could safely tuck them away in.
“Hey, hey! Don’t leave me! Take me too!” The other demon blubbered, choking on Shinobu’s poison, “I can’t die, please!”
“You will,” Shinobu spoke darkly as she dragged (Y/n) to the house, “whether by my poison or the sun, it doesn’t matter to me.”
“No!” The demon shrieked. He attempted to crawl away, but the poison made anything beyond his pathetic wriggling impossible.
While Shinobu had finished setting (Y/n) in the darkest corner and draping her haori above them like a makeshift tarp, she heard the demon’s wails grow louder before silence overtook the once picturesque island.
It was one the worst manglings Shinobu had seen. She did her best to set broken bones and stop the heavy bleeding, hoping that it would aid (Y/n)’s regenerative abilities. When she had done all that she could, she sat against the wall beside (Y/n) and wiped the blood on her hands off on her already ruined white collared shirt.
She craned her head downward, expression forlorn. (Y/n) had nearly given up their life for this village and it’s people, now it was a pile of rubble unfit for anyone to live in. There would be no time to rebuild before winter, so the villagers would have to live displaced until the spring at the very least.
Shinobu used the edge of her sleeve to wipe away the sweat and grime from (Y/n)’s face. She hoped they would be okay, prayed they would be back to their usual docile self once they woke.
With the movement of the sun, Shinobu had to adjust her haori to continuously block the sun beams shining through the heavily damaged roof. Her thoughts wandered to Izumi, riding the waves to the harbor. She suspected she had been found by now. Maybe another boat would be coming to check on the island soon. She didn’t think it was too likely, however. As far as they knew, the island was still under attack.
Shinobu adjusted her haori once more before looking for something to eat while she waited for (Y/n) to wake up. She could take a raft back if she really wanted too, but she refused to leave (Y/n) alone. When the sky began turning orange, Shinobu heard a pained hiss beside her, waking her from her light dozing.
“(Y/n)-san, hello.” She smiled, relieved to see (Y/n) open their eyes, pupils not carrying the same snake-like sharpness they did in the heat of the battle.
“Shinobu-san?”
“Yes, I’m glad you seem to be back to normal. Well, relatively speaking.” (Y/n) tried to sit up, but Shinobu kept them down, “Don’t move yet, your body is still a mess. If you can focus on healing faster somehow, try doing that instead.”
“But… I was doing something. Where are we? The village, the demon!” They tried to sit up again, but Shinobu was quick to keep them pinned.
“The demon is dead. Burned up in the sun. The little girl you were protecting is safe, I sent her off to the harbor before I came to help you.”
(Y/n) relaxed again, a relieved groan leaving their lips when their head hit the floor again.
“Thank you, Shinobu-san. If you hadn’t shown up, I hate to think what would have happened to Izumi-chan. You’re a better guardian than I could ever be.”
“You are giving yourself far too little credit. You managed to stop that demon from killing any of the villagers and gave them time to escape. You spent hours protecting Izumi-chan from death. You are an excellent guardian.”
Shinobu kissed their forehead, hoping she put an end to those negative thoughts.
“Focus on healing,” she said again, “For tonight, we must row to the harbor and figure out a plan of action for relocation and reconstruction.”
(Y/n) could only groan in reply. The idea of having to row anywhere made their whole body ache. Shinobu chuckled and gave them a sympathetic pat on the shoulder.
***
It was a dark and crisp autumn evening when Shinobu was getting ready to drop by the nearest Wisteria House to see how the planning was going for rebuilding the island village next spring.
Parties had been sent back to retrieve all personal belongings and salvage what materials could be salvaged while everything else was burned, leaving the plot bare and ready to be rebuilt upon when the time was right.
Shinobu had never been so invested in the aftermath of demonic destructions to civilian property before. Having grown to know so many people from the island in her visits, she felt responsible in having to help everyone, which was why she offered some lodging at the mansion while others were offered a place to stay at various Wisteria Houses. Everyone was very grateful for the accommodations and made sure to show it through various helpful and considerate actions.
But perhaps Shinobu’s favorite part of the temporary arrangements was one of the new houseguests she had gained.
“Took you long enough.” She teased when (Y/n) came running to catch up with her.
“Sorry! Izumi-chan needed a little encouragement to ask Aoi-san to read her a story.
“My, isn’t that cute. I suppose I’ll let it slide this time,” she grinned, “Ready to get to work?”
(Y/n) mirrored the grin, “You bet!”

When I saw your fic about shinobu having to hide her wisteria plan, I halfway expected it to be like that one giyuushino post about giyuu misunderstanding it to shinobu being pregnant and offering to take responsibility for her ‘baby daddy’ and her going along it. I guess my question would be how possible would that plan work out till someone asks why she doesn’t have a baby bump, excluding kaguya figuring it out long before anyone else
This Ask is in reference to my pre-canon fic which was written as canon compliant as possible while still giving myself space for indulgent Pillar interactions, as well as an AU that started as a silly joke but then became my indulgent ship outlet.
And you’re asking me to combine these two into one indulgent crossover? Well then, with your permission, I shall indulge!
To set the stage, in the aforementioned fic, Shinobu has just started her wisteria poison intake, but she was over-ambitious and gave herself severe side effects, like fainting at the end of a Pillar Meeting, so all the Pillars take a turn trying to be supportive (in some cases succeeding, in other cases… hm.) In this fic, Giyuu noticed something was off before she fainted, and his way of offering support is visiting. As usual, he doesn’t talk much.
In the AU, Giyuu and Shinobu got married sometime after Giyuu’s encounter with the Kamado siblings. They are Pillars first and spouses second, and their marriage is so low-key even if many of the Pillars have some awareness that they are married people, they haven’t all figured out that they are married to each other, as their professional interactions remain much the same. Later in that AU, Giyuu is certain something is off. Even though they didn’t plan on having children while acting as Pillars, just an empty “maybe someday” thing, Giyuu assumes her condition is due to pregnancy, and he doesn’t talk about it but feels driven to be protective of her and the baby, only to have his growing hopes dashed by Kanao telling him the truth later. (What happened to my happy fun silly AU??)
So then in a combination of these two AUs (and this combo is meant to be funny, it’ll only sting a little) the moment Shinobu faints, every Pillar who knows she’s a married woman automatically assumes it’s pregnancy, except Giyuu. He just wants to know why his wife has fainted but is so stuck on the “we aren’t having kids for a long time, if ever” mindset that he’s the only one not to jump to this conclusion—for now?
Uzui disapproves of Shinobu continuing to work in that condition, and puts pressure on Giyuu to make her stay put at home. Giyuu, not knowing what Uzui is insinuating, snaps back that Shinobu is a Pillar. Uzui is impressed with Giyuu’s faith in her, and he feels vague inadequacy for how he prioritizes his wives’ lives over his own Pillar work. In the end, though, Uzui would rather be an inadequate Pillar than an inadequate husband.
Okay, so, Pillar reactions:
Himejima is happy for them and secretly a little excited to see the baby, babies are cuddly and warm like cats after all, and he hopes this will be what makes Shinobu retire. When she does not, he fears what her stubbornness will do to her both in the long and short run. Namu Amida Butsu.
Rengoku, having jumped to a conclusion at some point that Shinobu is one of Uzui’s wives, makes a mental note to congratulate Uzui, which he never gets around to. He finds himself amused, wondering if a child between the two of them may wind up of perfectly average size and strength.
Iguro, despite vaguely knowing that both Shinobu and Giyuu have spouses, does not yet know that they are together. He’s concerned for Shinobu’s wellbeing, but ultimately finds the whole topic much too awkward to eloquently voice any concerns. It flusters him so much, in fact, that in this AU of an AU, Mitsuri might even get a misunderstanding about Iguro liking Shinobu (how tragic, though, seeing as she’s already married).
Although in the original version of this Low-Key Married AU, Iguro is the one to inform Mitsuri that their colleagues are married so that she can avoid further embarrassing herself, let’s say that in this version she knows Shinobu is married to Giyuu but is under the impression that it’s supposed to be a secret, having totally misread Shinobu’s request to keep it ‘low-key.’ This adds to the tragic drama surrounding Iguro’s affection for Shinobu, he’s going to be even more heartbroken when he knows she’s carrying the child of another man! While Mitsuri is full of pity for Iguro and a drive to take care of him in his heartbreak, as she knows what let-down is like (but also, why does this sense of pity sting so much and feel sort of ugly??), she is also constantly concerned about Shinobu. Even if she’s doing her best to keep Shinobu’s secret, she’d be the only constantly asking her how she feels and if she needs anything and whispering excitedly to ask if she feels any kicking. Shinobu diplomatically and truthfully responds that she has indigestion.
Muichiro does not know where he got this impression, but he’s accepted as fact that Shinobu is unwell because she’s tired from taking care of a nest of hungry baby birds.
Kagaya knows everything. Shinobu told him about the poison, but she hasn’t told Giyuu and she wants Kagaya’s help keeping Giyuu in the dark about it, there’s no need to get Giyuu involved or make him unnecessarily upset about her death in advance. After all, they entered this arrangement as two Pillars, supporting each other in whatever Pillar duty requires of them. While Kagaya feels bad for Giyuu and has told her he thinks she’s overestimated how okay with this Giyuu will be in the end, he finds the fact that everyone assumes she’s pregnant kind of hilarious and wholeheartedly offers his help.
“I’ll have my most trusted Kakushi supply you with a growing array of fake bellies. And I’ve got the perfect excuse for when you need to stop going on active missions! You see, there’s this demon named Ta—”
“I’m not stopping any active missions; I have demons out there to kill.”
“...but… but pregnancy was going to be the excuse…”
“While it’s a convenient excuse for now while I’m still getting used to the side effects, I don’t need any of the drama from when a fake pregnancy ends. That’s why any time someone brings it up I smile and remind that it’s a private matter between me and my husband.”
“Thereby leading them deeper into believing…”
“No! Because it is a private matter. Tomioka-san and I have already discussed this. We’ve both accepted it’s not likely to ever happen for us. The last thing I need is for any word of this to get to him”
“Because he would be sappy and excited, wouldn’t he?”
“Please, Oyakata-sama, we both know my husband isn’t—” she tries to deny him but the sheer sense of guilt for lying even a little bit to Oyakata-sama makes her blood pressure dip again and she faints.
When she wakes up, Amane is with her and assures her she’s heard everything and is there is help. “My husband tells me you’re looking for help in making convincing pregnancy symptoms to distract from what you’re really up to.”
“I… never wanted to go that far, but I suppose if it’s an order from Oyakata-sama… “
“The first thing is to make an assumption how far along you are. Hmm,” she says, peering narrowly at Shinobu. “And how many you’re carrying.”
“Zero.”
“It doesn’t hurt to have some imagination. Shall we be conservative and say two?”
“One is fine.”
“Boy or girl?”
“Why would that… fine. It’s a boy.”
“Have you picked out a name?”
“Not ‘Tanjiro.’”
“Still thinking then. Given your size, how long the two of you have been together, and the particular symptoms you’re wishing to conceal, let’s assume you’re still very early. Maybe you don’t even know yet. Maybe you’re so used to your period being late due to the stress of training that you haven’t even considered the possibility.”
“Nevermind all that. Rather than faking a whole pregnancy, is there some way to accentuate extra weight and curves to lead people to make their own false impression? As opposed to all the trouble of a convincing lie. Nothing that would make Tomioka-san notice anything amiss.”
At this, Amane’s eyes looked distant. Shinobu braces herself for a lecture about the meaning of marriages and necessity for total openness between spouses, and Amane would be the sort of person with a right to chide her for a naïve commitment, but then Amane says, “Trying to keep your figure for your husband? You have so much to learn. You’ll be bigger than you ever imagined.”
“To be fair, Amane-sama, in your case—”
“My ankles? They were swollen out to here.”
“This is seeming less and less conducive to my demon slaying missions. If you’ll excuse me, I—”
She stands up, too quickly, and as she comes tumbling down her gut is whirling. Amane catches her by the shoulders and guides her to the garden to expel the contents of her stomach. It’s as Shinobu is inwardly groaning to herself about this new side effect and listing off what medicines she should concoct to keep it under control that Amane assures her sympathetically that she understands, “morning sickness” is a misnomer because it is all-day sickness.
Shinobu decides to get out of future advice sessions with Amane and continue to let everyone assume what they will, she won’t play in or out of it, though this whole time Kagaya is “accidentally” leaving clues. However, when asked outright, “omigosh, I knew it, how is Shinobu-chan, is she doing okay!?!? When is she due!?!?” he always smiles and sayings, “I really can’t say.” However, when talking to Giyuu, Kagaya is more gentle and reminds him to spend quality time with his wife.
So anyway, that could potentially go on for months, maybe with Giyuu vehemently shutting down any congratulations with a deadpan, “I’m not a father.” (And wow, Mitsuri would toooootally take this the wrong way. Surely it’s not Iguro-san, who in his broken heart keeps such distance from Shinobu?), but eventually with Shinobu reaching more of a state of normalcy and not showing any additional signs, the others forget about it, assume they had been mistaken all along, or that their worst fears came true and it’s not their place to talk about it. Shinobu prefers not knowing who thought what, although at one point Rengoku sees that Uzui and Shinobu happen to be standing next to each other and he says, “my condolences,” and they have no idea why.
What brings Shinobu the most relief is that this hasn’t really changed anything between herself and Giyuu, as he does put such trust in her as a Pillar that he never questions her own judgement about her limitations. Even when, much, much later, he does find himself unable to quell the nagging sense that something isn’t right with her health (really, it’s that she’s showing signs of distress about her end being near and about the research with Tamayo), he never tells her to stop any of her Pillar duties but volunteers for a lot of missions and unconscious comes off a bit cold. It’s all his way of expressing protectiveness and going out to face danger so she won’t have to, though Shinobu misreads it as him knowing about Tamayo and volunteering for missions she’d usually take so as to help keep her cover, but it’s also possible he’s angry that she’s cooperating with a demon. But who is he to get worked up about that, when he’s the one who let Nezuko live and hid her existence for so long? But that is another issue in their relationship they haven’t quite worked out yet.
Neither of them talk enough, really.

GRACE F1 LORE
Thanks for tagging me @wisteria-wisteria <3
1. Who or what got you into F1?
Basic bitch answer but my dad. He was a big fan, and his dad was a fan. I was plonked infront of the TV to watch it as a kid, and grew up never missing a race. That was until Sky Sports braught it off chanel 4, and now my family can't afford to watch it anymore. I have to pirate it now coz I AINT PAYING 50 A MONTH go fuck yourself Sky Sports.
2.Who was the very first F1 driver you supported? Do you support them now? Have your opinions on them differed or stayed the same since then?
Probably Lewis? Or Jenson? I was (still am) a Mclaren fan as a kid, and my dad always cheered on English drivers, so I just copied him. I still love them both now, my opinions havn't changed on them at all!
3.Who’s your current favourite F1 driver?
Current grid? Probably Max, Fernando or Oscar. They are all so so talented, it's just a pivalidge to watch them drive. I think they're all really funny in their own ways too.
My favourite driver ever? Senna, obviously. Or Prost.... Can't ever pick.
4.Is there a driver pairing or pairings you support? What made you attracted to that pairing in the first place?
I support all and any pairings. F1 RPF in all forms is delicious thankyou. My faves are: Prost X Senna, Carlos X Lando, Max X Charles, Peroni X Villeneuve, George X alex, Mika X Michael, and Nigel X Elio.
The only ship I don't really vibe with is Pierre X Charles? Like idk I just don't feel it. But I'll still read it so lol
5. Do your parents, siblings or relatives have a favourite team and/or favourite driver(s)?
My dad supports Mclaren same as me. My sister isn't really into it? She finds charles hot and will watch edits of him but shes never watched a race or really gives a shit about the actual driving. Shes here for the thirst traps and Ferrari merchandise and I respect that so much.
6. Do you have any favourite races? Are there any that stand out to you the most?
Dallas, Texas 1984. What a fucking shit show. Absolute comedy sketch. Everything about that dumb race is so funny to me.
7. Do you have a favourite circuit? Can be from the past or from the current calendar.
Hungaroing! It was the first F1 race I ever attended, and the joy I get out of watching it and screaming 'IVE BEEN THERE IVE BEEN THERE' never leaves. The first race in person was special, so hungaoring is special now too.
8. Have you ever been to an F1 race in real life? Feel free to tell us your experience going to one if you like
Yes. And I don't know why but I was so shocked at how friendly everyone was. I think I was expecting it to be like football, but everyone got along so well no matter the teams ect. I always get general admission now, because its so much fun to sit and make new friends with other F1 freaks!!! Everyone shares food, alcohol, blankets, brollies ect- its alwaus such a good atmosphere at everywhere I've been.
9. Have you ever met an F1 driver in real life?
Yes. Seb and Jenson. In the same day. I nearly exploded, but actually managed to come off very normal and composed.
10. Do you have a favourite F1 car? If so, what is it?
McLaren MP4/4 1988.
LOOK AT IT
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The details, the colours, the absoulte perfection of the livery, and of course the V8 underneath that gave way to MCAREN DOMINATION. Shes perfect.

I know this may sound odd, but perhaps a fan kid of PastryxClover?
Tumblr media
I don’t think I’ve heard that ship before, but I am curious about it now, if you ever want to explain it to me anon I’d be more than happy to hear
But anyways, here’s the fankid, her name is Crocus Cookie
To be honest, I don’t know Pastry and Clover that well, so I’m just gonna hope that what I made is something that could be accurate to them and something you enjoy
I wanted to name her after a purple flower, mostly because of Pastry’s purple hair (and the fact that apparently her original name isn’t Pastry, meaning we likely don’t know what she’s made of) and the fact that clovers are plants. My picks were going to be either Lavender or Wisteria, but then I found Crocus flowers and decided on that
Crocus flowers:
Tumblr media
As for Crocus herself, I imagine her to be a bit reserved and closed off, like Pastry Cookie, but she opens up once you get to know her. I imagine her to be something like the Ranger class from DND, you know the warriors that are focused on nature. She travels across Earthbread, and is quite the lover of animals and nature, and will fiercely protect them from anyone who dares disrupt them
I feel like she’d have a bow and arrow, but it’s made of wood instead of metal like Pastry’s, and she probably carved it herself. She also might have an instrument she plays, but it’s more a hobby she picked up from her father. I want to say an ocarina, but that may just be because I like Ocarina of Time. But it’s something small and easy to travel with
I tried to add little sketches to the drawing as well, but I’m not sure I have enough room for them (though maybe I just need to use a smaller brush), so I might not include them in the next ones
But yeah, I hope you like it!

@macchiatosdumptruck thank you for the ask. (hopefully you don’t mind that I moved this over to my fic blog)
How does one do this? Like a car salesman? Let’s see. We all know I love RBF&GT so I’m not going to hype that one this time. Besides cookie already did that for me and people already gave it awards so we’re going to kiss it’s forehead and tuck it into bed and hype up it’s siblings instead. Slaps the roof of a car, can I interest you in monster meet-cutes? 🤣 (apparently my theme)
Konpeitō
romantic sci-fi Lawrusso comedy. (the karate kid era)
Daniel and his mother move to earth after the destruction of their planet. Love is an important part of their culture and his mother hopes that Daniel can find some earthling to fall in love with, dumping him out of the space ship to essentially hitchhike. He befriends a beetle, dog,  earthling named Johnny and tries to understand what earth is like and untangle the mess of language that is English while occasionally something tries to talk to him through radio frequencies.

Daniel’s walking his bike home through a Newark January along the river when he spots a body on the shore. He runs down to go help whoever it is only to think it’s a dead body and then to see that from the waist down is a tail. He realizes the blonde mermaid is alive and goes through the tedious process of taking him home. He and his mother end up nursing the broken hearted merman back to health, who really just wants to cuddle him for warmth and sleep in the cold until he’s too numb to feel. (If you like the idea of Johnny being partial monster but want something somewhat darker (more horror-esq) I also wrote Snake Whisky where Johnny after TKK turns into a snake and finds out about Terry and Kreese’s plans to hurt Daniel and then slithers off to try and warn him but kind of forgets how to be human)
Semifreddo
paranormal romance Lawrusso (the karate kid era but prior to)
Sid sends Johnny to Long Island for the summer to clean up an extended family members home after the owner passes, and while there the house seems to have a mind of it’s own and seems to be haunted by a rather curious and friendly seeming ghost who may not actually be fully a ghost. It’s actually really sweet.
Cherry Cordial
romance fantasy (magic) Lawrusso (the karate kid era)
Based off a couple drabbles I did. After the first tournament Daniel can’t sleep and ends up at a shop during a storm where a man gives him a book of magic spells. He uses one to try and ensure Johnny leaves him alone by making a potion and spiking his drink with it. Instead he realizes he might’ve given Johnny a love potion because the guy is opening doors for him and being much nicer than before.
Johnny on the other hand, is a witch whose been ignoring his calling and after the tournament he goes home to the mansion that oozes evil because Sid is a literal demon and decides to use magic to determine what he should do with the rest of his life only to find out he’s a love witch.
I do have more paranormal meet-cutes Umibudo (Chozen/Johnny where Chozen is a merman who runs into Johnny and takes him home because mermaids fall in love easily) and Devil's Food (Cake) where Daniel is a crossroads demon that Johnny visits throughout his life. I also have alternative routes to RBF&GT. But outside of all that there’s two others and I can’t decide which one to go for because they’re both gifts that I adore. So apologies I might do both.
Wisteria Sherbert
a/b/o Lawrusso with omega Johnny and alpha Daniel (Cobra Kai era)
Johnny gets a new job as a handyman and much to his disappointment nanny for a rich house in the hills, only to learn that it’s Daniel’s home. After some hiccups he settles in, getting along with the kids and Daniel, but he’s hiding the fact he’s an omega. He’s taken a ton of medicine to ensure no one finds out because he’s deep deep in debt to Terry Silver and the only thing keeping him from being mistreated is the fact he doesn’t give off a scent or hasn’t “presented”. But who knows how long that will last.
A Feast for Fools
romantic drama (comedy?) with Johnny and Terry Silver (Cobra Kai era)
Terry Silver finds out about Johnny’s dojo almost immediately after it opens and his staff recommend he go under cover to figure out why and who brought Cobra Kai back from the dead. Terry poses as a yoga instructor and teaches classes at the dojo and gets to know Johnny and his students. The two end up being good influences on one another and helping each of them heal from the damage left by John Kreese.

Nearly thirty years ago, two love-struck witches returned to their Northern California hometown and opened a bar with the change they’d saved up from a half-decade of working dead-end restaurant jobs. The bar didn’t last, but their romance did: three businesses and three kids later, Courtney and Phoebe Brannon have built a life that unites the pride they hold for their magical ancestry with the affection they feel for the town that’s supported them through it all.
Hidden along the coast of the Pacific-Northwest, Wisteria Falls is an amalgam of artisanal leanings, sequoia tree weather, magical secrets, and small town personality. Its storied past is rife with accounts of fairies, fey, witches, and werewolves, all of which are considered folk tales by the locals. Most of them, anyway.
There’s a story told by the residents of Wisteria about a raven-haired girl floating across the sky on a bicycle made from the bones of ravens and frogs. The bike wasn’t made from ravens and frogs, of course; just a broom spell gone wrong, conjured by a pair of first-time parents, that lead to a shrieking girl learning to fly over the Wisteria coast. Oona is introverted, sardonic, and a bit overly reserved, with a penchant for books rivaled only by her middle-sister.
Stories of the supernatural often center around sites of extreme density: ghosts in crowded cities, fairies in overgrown forests. Often, though, the most chilling tales stem from the most open oceans in the world. Sirens who haunt the sea, kraken making widows of a ship’s worth of spouses. People have generally decided that these rumors are little more than myth, but that doesn’t stop the coastal towns from which those ‘myths’ originated from celebrating those stories and becoming popular tourist destinations as a result.
Years ago, a coalition of town government officials and local entrepreneurial-types bought up a string of businesses and buildings near Wisteria’s town center with the hopes that the location, aided by Wisteria’s breathtaking forest and coastal views, might become a popular tourist destination, should the right shops and restaurants be installed there. Their efforts proved fruitful, and said part of the town is indeed popular with tourists. There was, however, one holdout amongst those businesses that received a buyout offer, which is why a small, multi-generational electrician company is still residing on that block.
Wisteria is famous for the miles of dense forest that surround it. Though a few trees are cut down every year to make room for new residents, roads, and radio towers, the forest nonetheless maintains its air of whimsical, fog-filled enigma. One building, however, pierces the veil of leaves that lines the forest: the home of Courtney, Phoebe, Oona, Sorcha, and Aoife Brannon.
Close to the center of town is a cafe owned by a wife-and-wife duo who, along with the three daughters who help them run the place, seem to know the name of every first-time customer who walks in. It’s little more than an urban legend, of course, but the Bel, Book & Bistro has long thrived on much more than rumor alone: specifically by offering a good cup of coffee, nice food, and a relaxing place to read in.
A few months ago, two students at Wisteria University encountered each other in the halls of W.U.'s English building and struck up conversation. A dozen dates and many kisses later, Connall and Sorcha are known around town as the golden couple of Wisteria Falls. Though their families have resided in Wisteria for generations, they’ve adeptly avoided meddling in each other’s business (both literally and figuratively) by occupying opposite sides of the town’s cultural and geographic spectrums, meaning that when our story starts, neither Connall nor Sorcha is aware of the other’s magical origins.
Alexander ‘Art’ Kunst was meant to follow in his father’s footsteps and become a well-respected, highly-paid doctor of medicine. Instead, Art dropped out of Wisteria University and made a bet with his parents: he’d open a small book shop and cafe in Wisteria using part of his trust. If it failed, he’d go back to school and become a doctor. If it succeeded, he wouldn’t. It’s been a little over a year now and in spite of some hefty competition, Art has yet to step foot on W.U.’s campus. The fact that his bookstore, Chaucer’s, is on a block of Wisteria famous for its artisans is purely coincidental.
With the eyes of the town focused on their elder siblings, Ellie and Aoife have managed to keep their troublesome misadventures under everyone’s radar, which frequently proves to be a problem when their activities become magical, overwhelming, and dangerous. Luckily, a certain cat-and-dog duo seem to have a supernatural sense for when the girls are getting into trouble, and frequently end up saving them from their self-inflicted peril.
Few things in life are as comforting as watching a coastal sunset from the tranquility of your bedroom, with a nice warm drink in hand, and a furry pup or cat resting alongside you. Sometimes Sorcha will convince Connall to fill in for a furry friend, but most of the time, it’ll be Lysander and Jinx helping them relax away the stress of their everyday. If they aren’t at their owners’ sides, then the pets are usually accompanying the youngest Dempsey and Brannon sisters while they explore the town or get into trouble in the surrounding forest.
For over one hundred and fifty years, the Wisteria Township Tribune has covered the politics, gossip, and supernatural folktales whispered around Wisteria Falls. Still in print today, tourists and residents alike can conveniently grab new issues from inside many local businesses, such as the Bell, Book, and Bistro, Chaucer’s Cafe and Books, and the newspaper’s neighbor across the street: The Albert Museum of Wisteria History. Staffed almost exclusively by Geoffrey Alexander Giles, a professor of history at W.U., the museum holds many artifacts important to the town’s history, as well as many aged articles written by the Tribune.

9 Fandom Peeps to Get to Know Better
Tagged by @ladyvaderpixetc (Thank you very much!!)
3 Ships You Like: These are my three most recent obsessions (it would be too hard to choose 3 all time favorites) - Leorio Paladiknight/Kurapika (Hunter X Hunter), Mike Ross/Harvey Specter (Suits), Haruka Tenou "Sailor Uranus"/Michiru Kaiou "Sailor Neptune" (Sailor Moon)
First Ship Ever: Kirk/Spock. I grew up watching Star Trek the original series with my dad, and even though I had no idea what shipping was, I knew Kirk and Spock were meant to be married.
Last Song You Heard: Loser, Baby from the new Hazbin Hotel series. Keith David's voice is transcendental.
Favorite Childhood Book: Unwind by Neal Shusterman. These books freaked me the fuck out, but I was addicted to that series. I also read it at way, way too young of an age. (Sorry to reveal that I'm a Gen Z kid like this)
Currently Reading: The Color of Magic by Sir Terry Pratchett
Currently Watching: The X Files. It's pretty much the only popular scifi series I had never seen before. I absolutely love it. Mulder's hyperspecific brand of neurosis makes me feel weirdly seen.
Currently Consuming: I just finished a bowl of fruity pebbles.
Currently Craving: a matcha green tea latte and gyros with tzatziki sauce

Happy Valentines Day!
Tumblr media
I'm using today to talk about my original series because I can! Also I've been tagging the characters a bit. The series is called Flowers and Forests, and the books follow the naming convention of "[a flower chosen with flower language] and [an alliterative tree]." It follows a Jewish German family during the World Wars so you can probably guess the content warnings but I'll go over them book by book. Details under the cut, as always.
Instead of the order I plan to write them or the order they were concieved, I'm going to go chronological, just to keep everything straight.
Poppies and Poplars
The only warning I can think of is war. Also any similarities to Im Western Nicht Neues are purely an accident I swear
Poppies and Poplars follows 23 year old newly wed Karl Bohmer, who is called on to fight in the trenches of the Great War right after he returns home from his mandatory military service. His regiment is optimistic that the war will be short, that the governments of Europe will get their heads of their asses. But then Germany invades France. Snow falls. The new year passes. Karl's son is born. His friends, those from home and those from the regiment, die. And they realize, the war will not end. The theme of the story is loss of innocence.
For the characters, I'm starting with Karl. He's optimistic and cheerful, almost naïve, and constantly cracks jokes, especially as things get darker and darker. He's quick to love and quicker to care, which causes trouble. Other main characters are Helmut Loritz, an stubborn and serious man, and Benedikt Rothbauer, his laid-back friend. They're in their early 40s, and went to university together. Last is Richard Holzknecht, a 20 year old Prussian man from a wealthy merchant family. He starts out as tempermental and full of himself, but has an arc about chilling out- as much as you can in the trenches.
Irises and Ivy
Xenophobia, queerphobia, and British imperialism will be discussed
Irises and Ivy is about Karl's nephew, 20 year old Welshman Friedrich Pugh. He mans the telegraph on an English Battle Ship in the second half of the war. It isn't very developed plot wise, but the characters are, and theme is going to be about guilt.
Fritz went to Naval school because he was bullied a lot as a kid. Most of it was for being effeminate, but there was also some xenophobia there, and he thought that if he could serve their country, his classmates would stop. Other than that, he's a very intelligent man, knowing many languages, and malicious compliance is his bread and butter. He often gets in trouble with higher ranking officers for this and speaking Cymreag. He works primarily with Christian Beirne, an Irishman who is incredibly anxious and draws to distract himself. They're both friends with Peter Allen, a doctor working in the ship's infirmary. He's a witty and sarcastic fella, and honestly the best way I can describe him is if Hobie Brown were a white Scottish adult. Also he's Fritz's love interest.
Wisteria and Willows
Again, this is under developed, and xenophobia is going to be even more a theme here.
Lisa Boemer was ten when the war started, 13 when her story starts. Her father is a German immigrant, and her mother is from the Dominican Republic. There was a lot of anti-German sentiment during World War I, and the original idea for this one came from my Gigi telling me about how her parents and grandparents wouldn't let her experience their culture because of their experiences during the war.
Lisa is a natural born leader. She's very creative and always has an idea. She will defend almost anyone to the death and is great at making it so that doesn't need to happen. Her main friend group includes Thomas Abrahms, who is transfemme genderfluid, an oldest child, and the straight man of the group, to use a comedy term. Polina Cahana and Vida Pasternack are both very random, Polina in a spaced out way, and Vida in an extremely hyperactive way. I'm still working on them both, to be honest.
Lisa and Friedrich's parents are both Karl's older siblings. The next few stories are about Karl's wife's niece, Ada Zingel.
Myrtle and Mapels
This starts after Kristallnacht, and going forward Nazism, fascism, antisemitism, and racism will be present.
Ada's oldest brothers, David and Model, are arrested, and the rest of her family is beaten. Three months later, they are released, and their family is determined to leave Germany for their safety. Josef, 14, and Ada, 11, are sure that if they wait things out it will get better, and because tickets are so expensive, it's agreed the two of them will stay with family friends for a while, but soon it isn't safe there, and they have to stay on the move. They soon meet Sinti grandmother and granddaughter pair Deana and Tsura, 12, and decide to stick with them.
Ada is a trans girl and comes out to Josef during this book. She's extremely curious and loves talking to people, but becomes a lot more cautious as the story goes on. She is very independent, and wants to be seen as capable of caring for herself more than anything. Josef is stubborn and idealistic, thinking the best of everyone. Tsura is a quiet observer, quick to trust, and quicker to assist. Deana is extremely worried, as she should be having to live in the woods with a bunch of kids. She's like the quintessential grandmother, and honestly that's the only way I can describe her.
Erikas and Evergreens
Deana and Josef die towards the end of M&M. Between the books, Tsura and Ada are joined by a Sorbian boy, Jurij, who ran away from his abusive father. During Erikas and Evergreens, which starts in 1940, they meet cousins Eduard Jundt and Bernhard Loritz, who are about to turn 18, while they hike across Germany to see Bernhard's friend, Margreta Rothbauer. Bernhard and Margreta are the grandchildren of Helmut and Benedikt, but that isn't important. They're also travelling with Greta's cousin, Christel Klein. From Greta's, the group plans to go to Switzerland to wait out Nazis.
Jurij is very temperamental, careless, and slow to trust, and his arc is about healing from his trauma. Also he's trans. Eduard acts wears his emotions on his sleave and has a pattern of taking drastic action, catastrophizing the bad and idolizing the good, basically. Bernhard is easily worried and usually closed off, but he hides this by being a happy-go-lucky nerd. He is very caring, and sort of takes in the younger kids. Greta is incredibly sarcastic and intelligent, but she usually hides it behind an oblivious demeanor. Christel has ADHD, POTS, and "pastel autism" as Summer would call it, very cheery and friendly. She latches onto the grumpier characters especially, and hyperfixates on medicine and botany.
Other stories that don't have enough to fit the rest of the formatting are Orchids and Oaks, which follows these kids through the rest of the war, and Cornflowers and Cedars, which has Ada, Eduard, Christel, and Tsura reuniting with their families after the war.

Well, considering that I'm coming out of not being able to move my dominant hand for a long time (I couldn't draw cries), I'll ask questions.
Also-ran Will Brie have interactions with other characters? (I'm talking about characters like Red, Blue, Gold, Green, etc.)
Publicity is important, and considering that she wears clothes from a brand originating from Paldea, would they invite the little changeling to Paldea so she can talk about something? I could also give talks to children who feel abandoned (something quite common, but not said, at least in the anime, Brock and his brothers are a great example, even if that is in Kanto)
At some official gala/event she said "what the hell" to the repercussions and just took off her shoes?
Considering everything about how people try to imitate her idols, what have been the waves in the population in trying to follow her and be equal to her? (the girl is feral, she is made differently, even if they managed to give her a life outside the forest)
How would she behave if she went to Alola? (her parents are pokemon, and Alola is one of those who most see pokemon as equals)
Into the wild Do you know the "El Macho" meme from Despicable Me? is that Volo? (he has a son with what I think is one of your wildest ocs, she fishes with her teeth!)
The Wisteria Does she also show her love with bites? (like when cats get affection overload)
What would her future relationship with Shinjuro be like? (because, you know, alcoholism, even though he left it that's how she met him)
Does the Cat stay with the Owl? What is her ship name?
Would she plant a tree like the one she had in the backyard of the house? (because of the symbolism and familiarity)
Gone Fishing I feel like I know her but at the same time I don't, any information about her?
Will she be one of those who hides or will she send everything to hell with her and not care how people look at her because she is proud of her? (because, you know, racism)
I feel like her clothing style is that of a surfer and/or swimmer, I also feel like she dresses like Nani from Lilo and Stitch? (Also, Nani is a goddess, she gave everything for her sister, and David is a loving person, I also adore him)
I'VE BEEN STRUGGLING TO ANSWER THIS ASK BUT TUMBLR MOBILE HAS BEEN SCREWING ME OVER BY GETTING RID OF MY STUFF BEFORE I HAVE A CHANCE TO SAVE FOSKFNNF
ANYWAYS.
yes, brie will have her interactions with others, and as a reminder, Alola Noa and Scarnoa are also in this same continuity, so...lmao :V
Sawyer might pop up, I need to cook more with her first before I come up with an answer. And Punch Baby Akari definitely did exist, her bloodline continues lmao
She'd get along with the Pokemon of Alola so, so well, especially qhen interacting with the Tapus.
AND YES I KNOW EL MACHO, LMAO, yeah that sounds about right.
Andou does show love through bites, watch out. And the Cat and Owl shipname would be idk, Sunflower?? That sounds cute.
Andou sticks around close enough, though she will move in with Himejima, she just bounces from one place to another for training and socialization.
Shinjuro needs to pspspps for kitty to warm up to him. It'll take a while, but eventually. And yes, plant tree for Fujisaki house. :V
Mako is still a babbu, but she is very feral and a brat kid who drives her papa up the wall. But she is love and cherished. And also pretty fucked mentally since she's matured wayyyy to quickly for anyone of her physical age (its the discrimination and injustices)
Also yes, she'd vibe with Nani wear, tho she mostly sticks with comfy clothes.
At least until Nami and the others get to her, so she goes from shorts and t shirts to haltertops at the least, brought to you by Nami growing tired of her dorsal fin ripping the back of her shirts lmao.
She's the ship dress up doll at times lmao.
Otherwise, she keeps to herself unless otherwise. She checks for the right timing, if she sees it, she'll take it and say whats on her mind
Mainly when she knows she isnt alone to face the backlash lmao

Are there good HR with pirates?
There aaaare but tbh a lot of the older ones have legit pirates, which usually crosses over with the slave trade. Among other things. So I tend to go with "pirate adjacent" or "river pirates". Like, piracy in all but name or "piratical vibes" often ends up working better than legit "avast ye!" pirates.
Try:
Scandalous Desires by Elizabeth Hoyt. An all time favorite, definitely my favorite pirate romance. Charming Mickey O'Connor is a legit river pirate, has all the things you want from pirates--slightly dodgy dialogue, a crew, tons of riches, a baby he left on a doorstep only to come back and collect it in part because the baby could be used against him and in part because he has a weird thing for the widow who's been caring for the baby for the past year because when her husband was alive Mickey made her pretend they fucked and walk down the streets with her tits out because mind games. That kind of thing.
Any Duke in a Storm by Amalie Howard (out 1/9) is great for this. Both the hero and the heroine are basically pirates in all but name; she's actually a spy, but they have like... pirate names and shit. He's got tattoos and piercings (including a dick piercing). It's GREAT.
Lord of Temptation by Lorraine Heath is another "he's not legally a pirate but she was blinking pirate in Morse code" book. He was sold into a ship's crew as a kid and became this really successful captain with a fake name and a rep for fucking everyone; she pays him to take her on a journey to visit her fiance. They fall in love.
The Hawk by Monica McCarty. It's medieval. Technically he's a laird or whatever, technically he works with Robert the Bruce, but he's basically a pirate and literally drags the heroine out of the water in a meet cute. Includes the "they're fucking on a raft in the middle of a storm" scene, which was wild.
If you're open to trying Victorian with a good deal of magic, The Wisteria Society of Lady Scoundrels and The League of Gentlewomen Witches has pirates on air ships and they are SUPER piratey and fun.
