Danny squints up at the slightly older realms being, even if technically he’s older in human-age. The Chaosling is practically vibrating in place, the massive realms feline peering out from over their shoulder. Huh. So this is his Clockwork-assigned babysitter-cousin? 

He didn’t know how to feel about the whole suit thing, but well, he won’t say no to a good prank. C’mon Cujo, they’re going to the daycare dimension-place!

a version of chronicles of narnia where those closest to the kings and queens get put into a sleep when the pevensies are brought back to their world, from which they're awoken only when their beloved four rules return, something à la sleeping beauty.

so the pevensie siblings return to narnia, and logically, it's been thousands of years. their closest friends, those they viewed as family, are, to their knowledge, dead, and they are completely alone now.

until peter and caspian encounter each other in the woods, and are about to get into their fight. it's the moment where peter's back is turned, and caspian has his word raised. lucy is screaming, tears in her eyes, susan and edmund are too far away to do anything, and there's a moment of chaos before caspian's strike is blocked by a larger, longer sword.

oreius, completely disgruntled and still very out of the loop, but only focusing on the fact that his king, his friend, his son, is in danger, glares daggers at caspian, not looking away for a second, even as tumnus gathers a now-relieved, sobbing lucy up in a tight hug, and edmund and susan shriek with joy upon seeing the beavers and mr. fox.

and any feeling of tension or fear immediately seeps out of peter, who drops the rock he had picked up, and stumbles to his feet and to oreius' side, being able to lean on the centaur for the first time in a year, and not have to worry about his safety or his siblings' safety. and oreius, without taking his eyes off of caspian and his followers, just puts an arm around peter.

and caspian remembers. he remembers the stories of the high kings and queens of narnia, and their beloved inner circle, and the absolutely terrifying centaur who called them sons and daughters of his heart, and he can't quite help but think about how utterly fucked he is.

"Gah, whoever says that pregnancy is a wonderful thing, is an absolute lunatic" you groan, glaring down at your six-month bump.

"She kicking again?" Rebekah smiles, making you glare at her. "You'd think she's in the middle of a boxing match," You tell her, confirming her guess.

"Dude, really? You've gotta stop" You look down at your stomach again. And that's when your husband walks into the library. "I'm sure our daughter means well" Elijah kisses the top of your head.

"Says you, you're not the one pregnant" You huff. "Don't mind her, she's been in a grouchy mood all morning" Rebekah tells her older brother.

"Okay, but how bad would it be if I were to have just one drink?" You ask, glancing at the bottle of bourbon on the coffee table. "Real bad." Rebekah immediately answers. "Damn," You mumble.

"I've got to take care of some things with Niklaus, don't do anything reckless," he tells both of you. "And get some rest" His gaze lands on you. "Alright, alright" You sigh. He leans down and kisses you before picking up the bottle of bourbon and leaving.

Rebekah stands up and crosses over to you. She sits beside you and you lean your head against her shoulder.

"I want to stuff my face with chocolate but I'm not hungry" You mumble into her shoulder. She chuckles, placing her arm around you, and rubbing your shoulder.

Later in the day, you and Elijah are in bed. Your head is resting on his chest. His left arm wrapped around your torso and his right hand placed on your bump. The baby finally stopped moving around and kicking you, letting you relax for a while with your husband.

"This baby's gonna have one hell of a life" you mumble. He hears you perfectly fine with his enhanced hearing, "that she will" Elijah answers, kissing the crown of your head. He leans against your for a moment, smelling your coconut shampoo from when you took a shower in the morning.

Is Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury the first anime series to depict a married same-sex couple?

Given the rings and comments from the staff (excluding Bandai) it's pretty clear that both Suletta and Miorine are married. And looking at older anime couples I can't find another one where the characters are actually married to one another.

There are series that depict engagements and proposals (implied or otherwise with queer characters).

Some examples would be:

Yuri & Viktor from Yuri on Ice, where it's implied that they want to be engaged.

Ranma & Akane from Ranma 1/2, both find themselves in an arranged engagement but end up falling for each other anyway. Ranma is canonically genderfluid in both the anime and manga and Akane is attracted to Ranma as both a man and a woman. And this is ignoring all of Ranma's other fiances who know about their curse and want to be in a relationship with them anyway.

Utena & Anthy from Revolutionary Girl Utena, while the circumstances of their engagement are out of their control, the two of them fall deeply in love with one another despite that. And in the movie they kiss.

Other LGBT anime couples are together or in love but next explicitly depicted as engaged or married would be:

Michiru Tenou & Haruka Kaiou from Sailor Moon, they are very much together and in the Crystal series end up living together and adopting a baby.

Yukito Tsukishiro & Touya Kinomoto from Cardcaptor Sakura, who are in love with one another.

Eiji Okumura & Ash Lynx from Banana Fish, who are in love with one another. And it hurts.

Yuu Koito & Touko Nanami from Bloom Into You, who are two girls who fall in love with one another. And in the story you watch them grow and get closer.

Nezumi & Shion from No. 6, a sci-fi drama where two boys fall in love. This one also hurts.

And countless other examples, none of which I could find have the characters taking their relationship further than dating or engagement.

So, is Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury the first married same-sex couple in anime?

On a minor note, there have been several gay weddings depicted in manga.

Some examples would be:

Our Dreams At Dusk by Yuhki Kamatani, which was written by an asexual, X-gender author.

Until I Meet My Husband by Ryousuke Nanasaki and illustrated by Yoshi Tsukizuki. This manga was written by a gay man and based on his own essays about his life. The manga is auto-biographical.

I Married My Best Friend To Shut My Parents Up by Kodama Naoko, who has written several other LGBT manga, most of which are Yuri.

And there are several more!

"Where are you going?" Your dad asks from where he's sat in an armchair. You're on your way to the front door, about to leave. You're wearing a black, mini, v-neck bodycon dress with bell sleeves and black heeled boots.

"Out" you face him. "Where exactly?"

"Oh, just deep into the woods where I'm meeting my witch cult where we're planning to end the world" you tell your dad with a straight face.

"What?" He raises an eyebrow. "You do know what sarcasm is, correct?" You ask him.

"Whatever. I'm just meeting my friend to go out to dinner and talk and stuff our faces with food" you tell him, not disclosing the name of said friend.

"...Alright, have fun" he eventually says. You tell him bye and walk out the door.

When you walk in the restaurant, you look around before spotting your best friend.

"Hey, babe" you tell her, sitting across the booth. "You do know I'm way older than you" she smirks.

"Huh, I could've sworn I've known you since we were kids" you joke, making her chuckle.

"Elijah still doesn't know about me, huh?" She takes a sip of her drink.

"I'm pretty sure he would hunt you down and kill you, himself. That is if Uncle Nik doesn't find out first that is" You take the glass out of her hand, taking a sip of it yourself.

"That's fair," Katherine says, taking her drink back. "Get your own" She smirks.

You call over the waitress and persuade her into giving you a drink with a tiny bit of magic. "Impressive" Katherine says once the brunette waitress leaves.

"Well, you vamps have your compulsion, while I have my persuasive tricks. One may call me magical" you smirk back at her. "Oh, I wonder why" Katherine rolls her eyes playfully.

"We should have some fun" you smile. "Hmm, I like that face, what kind of fun?" She smiles back. You've noticed that she only really smiles a general real smile when she's with you.

"I heard about a party in the woods that's tonight," You tell her. "Perfect," Katherine says. You guys clink your glasses together before finishing your drinks.

You guys got to the party half an hour ago and are dancing to the booming music that the speakers are playing. halfway through your's and Katherine's favorite song, your phone starts to vibrate.

You look down at the caller ID and see it's your dad who's calling. "Shit" You say and walk away from the crowd of people, Katherine following after you.

"What's wrong? Who's phoning you?" Katherine asks. "My dad" You say, getting her to instantly quiet when you answer it.

"Hey, dad" You bring the phone to your ear.

"Hello, I was just- what's all that sound?" Your dad instantly hears all the noise in the background.

"Oh, yeah, a bunch of annoying ass teens just came in here with a speaker, and no one is doing anything about it" You groan, lying to your dad perfectly.

Your father believed you after a moment. You smirk after hanging up. "He is so gullible to you," She says, wrapping an arm around your shoulders.

"You have no idea" you chuckle and you guys go back to the fun.
