I just needed ONE. One. Sustained samdean hug. where Dean goes to pull away but sam holds tighter. and then they sort of just slide to the floor still clinging together and then Sam Perhaps slips down into dean’s lap on accident and tries to pull away then but Dean doesn’t let him. They’re both embarrassed by how badly they need to hold on to each other but as long as they don’t speak it’s okay. So they stay silent. And cling and cling and cling. and then they drift off to sleep still holding each ohter. AND SO? WHY CANT I HAVE THAT

The saddest gatcha I've seen people try using against trans people and our transitions is that changing ourselves in any way is somehow "proof" we hate ourselves.

It's sad to me to think that one sees any change as foreign, unsightly, and antithetical to who somebody is - I did not need to hate myself to transition, I simply accepted that changing my circumstances and making them more befitting to what I wanted was the best way to honour and live my life.

Change is a part of living, proof that you have stood with time, physically and mentally. If transition isn't an ultimate form of love due to the change it often brings, then I question if we understand what "love" and "change" fundamentally are.

here's the thing. jack is a gentle person who was forced into being tough and strong and fierce by circumstance. his hands are calloused and his knuckles are bruised when he picks flowers to display in the window by his bed and when he wipes away tears from a younger boy and when he braids the hair of a little girl who can't do it herself. and davey is a fierce, angry person who has learned to be gentle and quiet and pleasant by circumstance. he isn't used to being in a fist fight but when he stops trying to be otherwise, his words are sharp and pointed and direct even when he's offering comfort and kindness and wit. jack has never had the chance to just be gentle without fighting for it. davey has never allowed himself to exist without a filter.
