I cannot express enough that if your reaction, as a hobby artist, to not getting that many notes on your art is to say "maybe I should just stop doing art altogether" you need to stop posting art to tumblr

not necessarily forever, not even for long, but just stop putting your art on here and start doing it for you again, remember why you enjoyed doing art in the first place and stop relying on the attention of faceless people on the internet for your enjoyment of your hard work

believe me, I get it, nothing crushes the artistic soul quite like labouring for hours on a piece only for it to get like 10 notes, so you need to find your own source of joy in the act of creation and a lot of the time that means making art and not showing it to anybody

Alabasta Ace is so funny.

Like the strawhats keep commenting that Ace is so polite and restrained compared to Luffy but like. This dude drags himself out of the ocean just to thank them for looking after his brother and offer to help wash dishes. Mans asks "Are these guys bothering you?" and proceeds to blow up an entire fleet with his bare hands. He trips over himself to make sure all of Luffy's crew likes him and no, really, you don't mind that he's a weirdo???? That we, I mean he, are feral little insane guys who take up space and emotional labor and are kind hard to handle? Really???? Cool cool cool hey just a reminder I can help out with anything that needs doing. I got lost in the desert but donnut worry in the 0.6 seconds since you last saw me I have somehow acquired water and provisions for several weeks. Don't ask me how!

the thing about bad buddy is that calling it enemies to lovers is not entirely wrong and is a very succinct and easy way to indicate the general plot, but also one of the only moments that the two main characters are actually personally in conflict with each other lasts about four minutes and is expressed mainly through upset shirtless xylophone playing contrasted with a montage of happy moments that features a time there was triumphant shirt-wearing xylophone playing. and then they both say sorry at literally the exact same time

Something something about Eddie learning Buck will be there for him off the job, even without Chris being in the equation.

Something something about that being an important realisation for him to finally make because he’s always hidden behind his son when it comes to Buck (and his love life more generally - even Shannon in reality was for Chris not himself) but he won’t be able to this time.

Something something about that realisation being the key to giving himself permission to examine his heart and feel his true feelings.

Eddie goes missing. Buck falls apart.

Buck turns right, the direction Eddie had gone, and starts screaming his name. Eddie will come to him, if he’s out there; Eddie will hear Buck’s voice out of the hundred voices, and Eddie will come to him. They have plans tomorrow. They don’t find him. Another K9 unit is called in, and they don’t find him. A search helicopter roars overhead, shining its light down into the woods as they search, and they don’t find him. Buck screams and screams and screams Eddie’s name, and they don’t find him. The rain stops, starts, and stops again, and they don’t find him. The tide of panic starts to eat through Buck’s shoddy defenses, slowly, as dawn lightens the sky, and they still haven’t found him. Shift will be over soon; it might be already. He is supposed to be making Eddie breakfast, with Chris; he’s supposed to be taking Chris to school, with Eddie. He was supposed to find Eddie. Eddie was supposed to be out here, somewhere, with a twisted ankle and a broken radio. Eddie was supposed to call back when Buck shouted his name. His hands fall to his knees. He stops breathing; he tries, he really tries, but his breaths are caught in his throat in the same place as Eddie’s name, and he can’t breathe. He was supposed to make Eddie breakfast.
