woah!! new guys for the superhero au?? meet our other two heroes!

dianne zelenov, more commonly known as miss morph, shapeshifter extraordinaire, is a much more well-established hero, having been in the business for years at this point. she prides her identity as a hero, embracing the celebrity that comes with it...and perhaps the most annoying part about it is that it's deserved. she's fought the syndicate multiple times over, and tends to dismiss and treat solarflare as a naive upstart. sol's idealism clashes a lot with morph's more tactical (and maybeee just a bit arrogant) approach to fighting crime, so they nearly always butt heads when they team up, and have formed a bit of a rivalry as a result. though, deep down, morph really does respect sol, and is secretly grateful that sol's there to counter and challenge her worldview: one that's largely become cynical due to all the years in the hero business. NOT that she'd ever admit it.

and you can't possibly mention morph without mentioning felix murphy, her, uh...sidekick? assistant? weird roommate? no one's really sure what to call him, but he's an old friend of morph's who provides help from behind the scenes with his handy-dandy D.R.E.A.M. console. he can provide intel by hacking into syndicate files, keep track of info received from morph's previous battles, contact other heroes if things get dicey for morph solo, and also provide completely unnecessary live commentary via holo-screen while morph fights crime. and, sure, maybe with his tech prowess he could go out and fight himself, but also, are you crazy? he doesn't have any powers! it's way safer for him to provide from the sidelines. he's been doing so for years...and especially so ever since the syndicate popped back up three years ago. with solarflare and kuiper on the scene now, too, will our heroes finally have the upper hand? and what would that even mean for them?

next up...who exactly are the supervillains in this infamous syndicate, and why have they come back after supposed defeat? only time will tell...

“Peter.”

The boy can’t even look Tony in the eye. Not because he’s afraid, but because he’s tired. Defeated. The most he does is glance at his mentor like a sad, curious puppy.

Tony can only smile.

“You’re doing great,” he tells him.

Peter looks surprised to hear that, as he raises his head a little and actually gazes at the man.

“I know you don’t believe it with how much you’ve been dealing with,” Tony details. “You might think you’re failing, but I see your effort. You’re a hero both at school and at home… and well, everywhere. And I’m proud of you.”

It’s like Peter hasn’t heard these words in forever.

Because his eyes grow deep, his lips quiver, he begins shaking. Tony can tell there’s a lot of pain in there, as Peter covers his mouth once he starts sobbing, so he doesn’t make much noise.

Tony kneels in front of the kid, opening his arms. Peter immediately launches himself towards him, hugging him so desperately, and sobbing so much that it must hurt. Tony hates imagining how long Peter must have kept it to himself. How long has he felt like a failure?

Peter is so much more than “good enough”.

He’s doing great, amazing, even.

And the kid needs to remember that more often.

Tony will make sure of that.

BEFORE AND AFTER COLOURING CHALLENGE (with a side of blending before and after)

tagged by @aziraaphales, @crowley-anthony & @seance, thank you all so much for the tag, seeing your colouring processes was a joy!

i thought i would show entirely how my colouring process changes from beginning to end, starting with 'basic' colouring of a scene and progressing into colours. you may also spot blending changes too, which falls under the colouring process via adding layers of black to get parts of overlaying/underlaying gifs to show through. the real fun for me always comes in when i get to play around with colours.

okay chat im not a super huge car guy geenrally i dont know much about them. but what type of car do we think suck rand would drive? because on one hand rand driving a shitty fucking station wagon would be fucking hilarious but also maybe nbr would only have one car? and the three of them would argue for a while but probably settle on something that wouldnt stand out too much but is still very pretty like a chevy impala (nonbiased statement) or a mercury marquis (another totally nonbiased statement) from around the 60s-70s (rand insists on a tape/CD player)
