did some kit bashing today. wanted to put the wraith in wraithguard and the spirit in spiritseer

#3 - Wraithguard Again, 40 minutes from start to finish. Starting to gain a bit of a feeling for softness/hardness of the standard photoshop brushes, and a bit of a feeling for how pressure-sensitive transparency works. It's still very easy to blur and fuzz everything when working with a soft brush though. Phew. Digital, Adobe Photoshop and Wacom Intuos Pro M, 1000x1000px

Exodite Wraithguard: Complete!

Sooo, I actually finished these guys a little while back, but kept putting the photography off like the trash creature I am.

So yeah, these guys are based off of the cop bots from necromunda (or, if you promise not to tell GW, a 3d printed proxy ;) ) because of goofy head canon reasons.

But yeah, big chunky robits, stolen by the space elves and retooled with heavy weaponry for future raids, covered in grafitti.

that last post got me thinking about my own wraiths so I decided to post them. my eldar went through a lot of prototype type schemes before I settled on the yme-loc orange and gray, but the wraiths were technically the first eldar unit I ever completely painted. even tho they were the first, I'm a lot happier with their redone coat of paint

I'm still painting 40k btw, but I told myself I wouldn't buy any more eldar until the ones I have are all painted. It's just windriders from the old combat patrol left. I hate them. Like don't get me wrong they look great but all the angles and edges and the pilot and markings and extra bits to glue on uggghhhhh...

I hesitate to post wips of my stuff (unless asked), but this project is slow going and I'm itching to share it so I might as well.

Sunder plushy pattern.

(hopefully. I just finished the initial pattern but I still need to get materials and test it out so fingers crossed it's not a complete disaster)

I got Keening one too but I haven't cleaned up the pattern yet. So you just get the Blender messiness. This one I'm way less confident about it actually working, but it's an experiment.
