I’ve started work on a small project I might as well talk about. It’s a programming language that is at the extreme interpreted side of the compiled-interpreted scale. The code is ran at writetime.

FFXIV Write 2020 Prompt 1: Crux

A parting wave was offered to the xaela man carrying her toddler and ushering the two older children back into his home, even adding a pleasant smile in as well. The roegadyn kept a reasonably calm and measured pace until she’d rounded a few corners in the portion of Shirogane his home, swiftly breaking into a full sprint once she was clear. Seemed like no matter how much padding she put into scheduling around those exchanges it was never enough and she was running well behind meeting a new contact. The power play of ‘fashionably late’ had backfired for her previously here in the Far East, and she wasn’t aiming to put herself in bad footing this time around. Several minutes of that demanding work out later and she had the tea house the met was set up at in sight, letting her come slowing down back into a more respectable speed. After all, if one is going to take the heat for being late it should at least look intentional.

A leather glove drags along her forehead and then up into her hair for one quick toss as she makes her way up to the door, doing her best to restore her carefully curated look before stepping into an unknown den. A young raen woman from the staff immediately greets Brem with a bow that the Sea Wolf returns a little slower than she likely should. “You are here to see Mister Kubo, yes? He is already waiting for you..” The roe can’t quite unhear the accusatory tone in those last few words while following the gesture from the shorter woman. A brief, slightly gruff ‘Thanks’ is offered up before she sets on her way.

Thankfully she’s had a bit of practice carefully handling the wood and paper doors closing off the side room she was sent off towards, but she’s still got to get into a significant hunch to wedge herself through the shortened doorway. It does leave her with far less distance to go when offering the man seated within already a bow before dropping herself into a pile on the opposite side of the floor-seating height table. The Hingashi hyur already there is unabashed in chuckling at the air pirate’s struggles, giving a dip of his head in return to her bow while motioning out to the cup of tea already waiting for her. “If you fit so well in the rest of Shirogane, I believe I can forgive some tardiness Miss Abylnpfefwyb.” “Glad you’re so considerate, Mister Kubo. And it’s Abylnpfefpwyn, but you still got through it cleaner than half of my Eorzean co-horts. Old Roe’ is a tricky tongue.” The cramped woman reaches out for the cup, using a pair of fingers from each hands to try and mimic what she’d seen for proper motions. “Delightful as the drink and.. accommodations are, I’ve come the other side of the star for more than a cup of tea.” A gloved hand vanishes into her overcoat for a moment before drawing out a folded letter and places it at the center of the short table between them. “Our.. mutual friend believes that you can make the appropriate introductions required for my business on this particular subject.”

Another warm laugh makes it’s way out of the hyur sat across from her, with a hand patting along the jiggling bit of paunch rounding out the front of his fine silk clothing. “I have.. a number of friends that people are eager to meet, yes. Their time is of course often highly sought after, and being able to properly manage knowing when and where their schedules would allow for outside interjection.. well that is a taxing task in it’s own right..” The diatribe is offered as he reaches out for the letter and unfolds it. A show is made of him reading it over, including several flaps of the page while he produces slim spectacles with gold trim to set upon the end of his nose. After his dramatic show his eyes turn up to the dull black orb set in the Sea Wolf’s face plate pointedly before meeting the half of her gaze that’s still animated. “I can see why our friend sent you my way, yes. I do believe I might know someone who might be able to provide some assistance. Due to their.. eclectic niche of a specialty and the demands of their... organization, I think it might be a true challenge to get some time for them to look into things for you, however...”

The lid over her natural eye was already drooping as he trailed that point off, not in any way impressed with his slow roll into the negotiation. The giant reaches out with two fingers to pluck the letter from Kubo’s own grasp. Before he can finish scoffing at the abruptness of the act, the pirate’s turned the parchment over and shoved it back across the table. “You got a finders fee like every other middleman in the world, and you’re probably trying to pluck a Garlean. Possibly an ex-pat. Hopefully so, for their sake in fact.” A finger snaps down to the figure scrawled on the face of the letter he’s got in front of him now. “I told you, I’m not here to sip tea. That is a generous number, more than generous even. Half in advance, half after I meet your ‘friend’ and know they’re worth the trouble. You can take the offer and sit here and enjoy the rest of your beverage in peace with knowledge you’re about to have a heavy coin purse, or I can go find myself another set of big ears and grubby hands.” The roe pushes the door back open and swings a leg back out to start the process of extracting herself. “Your skillset isn’t nearly as valuable as the one I’m looking for, and I’m willing to shop if you make me.”

The once chuckling expression upon the hyur’s face had soured over the Sea Wolf’s bluntness about things, but the number of digits on that letter was enough for him to pick it up and slip it into one of his pockets. “You’ll be hearing from my friend soon, Miss Abylnpfefwyb.”

If not, may I suggest "writetime prompts" and "writetime prompt fills" be the topmost tag?

I'm not always capable of tackling an event in the moment, but I adore being able to locate prompts/challenges and fills as encouragement to create when I manage time from other writing projects and to enjoy others' creations.

Moving on

-Hoy sencillamente ha sido un mal dia, un día en el que siento que el peso se de un millón de libras se posa sobre mi, y no paro de llorar. Fácilmente podría decir que me rindo, fácilmente podría decidir dar marcha atrás, sin embargo, la veo en fotos, leo lo que me escribe y continuo. Tan solo continuo porque se que ella espera lo mejor de mi, y por ella quiero ser más; para cuando llegue el día de vernos nuevamente pueda ver a alguien que se merezca todo lo que ella ofrece y pueda dar tanto como ella. Por ende sigo adelante, tratando de no ver el retrovisor, sigo por la carretera nublada en la cual me encuentro transitando. Se empaña el parabrisas con la humedad del aire, casi no veo entre la neblina, pero el freno no funciona y la palanca no da marcha atrás; solo me queda continuar acelerando, aunque, bajo un poco la velocidad, en parte por miedo al posible imparto, pero no solamente para sentir seguridad en la vía y evitar esos posibles baches, sino también, para disfrutar del paisaje un poco al estilo Silence Hills, ese tono lúgubre y tenebroso, con sorpresas aguardando en cada rincón, destinos inciertos por cada desviación, al igual que como sí estuviese en ese condado, se que al final de la carretera se encuentra en lugar al cual espero llegar, ese donde sus brazos aguardan, aquellos que complementan a los míos y los cuales son propietarios de las manos que encajan perfectamente con las mías, ese puzzle del cual soló ella posee las piezas con las que se completa. Esas mismas manos las cuales generan las mejores caricias y que son las mas divertidas compañeras cuando de maldades se trata, por eso avanzo, por ella, por todo lo que tenemos y por todo lo que podemos llegar a ser. Por ella no me detengo a pensar de sobremanera las cosas, porque sí lo hago es renunciar a ella, lo cuál significa perderle, y eso es algo que no puedo permitir porque si ella yo soy su felicidad y ella es la mía no puedo ni quiero hacele daño ni dañarme. Por eso avanzo en un camino aparentemente sin rumbo, ni esperanza, pero avanzo y lo seguiré haciendo hasta que ya deje de respirar y aún desde el más allá buscaré la manera de avanzar hasta llegar a una nueva vida donde pues volver a encontrarla y enamorarme nuevamente de ella. Por ella avanzo, por ella sigo, por ella no importa lo largo del camino, por ella no tienen relevancia las parada indicadas en la carretera, por ella todo lo que pase vale la pena, y es por ello que por ella seguiré avanzando...

- new start series (with “reader meets erik who is a single father”), round 2 series, reader sleeping over a erik’s, “erik and reader are opposites- like she’s so nice, calm and soft, and erik is mean... as always and his family is so confused on how they’re dating”, imagine where erik and the reader has heir firs date and when he get home he’s super excited and tell his friends how happy and in love he is?, erik with goofy reader on a mission, reader catching erik using her expensice skincare products afer she told him it’s off limit, hug time, erik ghosting after a fight with his gf & she hears he’s out acting single so she decide she’s single too. but he shows up & all like “who said we broke up?”,  reader is not answering her phone and erik is worried/irrirated because the day before he was mean to her and she left his house crying?, an imagine where erik finding out the reader is powerful (like a mutant), erik & mbaku fighting over the reader, found you series, erik helping his need tomboy bff get a makeover & he starts to get jealous of how much attention she starts to get from other guys,  vulnerable soft erik where he and the reader get into an argument and later that night he’s trying to sleep but can’t because she’s refusing to come to bed with him and he has to be vulnerable with her and tells her “you know i can’t sleep without you”?, “short imagine or headcanon ha erik finds out his girlfriend has more body’s then him or his a mafia leader, something between those lines. but instead of being upset for her not telling him he’s actually cool with it”, erik comforting the reader after finding out she lost a loved one and he had a good day, reader learns she’s pregnant and comes up with a creative way to tell erik , erik and the reader are set up on a blind date by mutual friends, “reader is studying for her upcoming test and she is frustrated with the amount of studying she has to do.  erik notices she has been studying for a long time, and tries to do everything to relax her mind”, erik takes reader to wakanda for the first time, erik sees his girl still sleep with a stuffed animal and by kinda makes fun of her but when she puts it up he sees she struggles withouth it?, “imagine with erik inspired by the somg caretaker by dram and sza, like maybe the reader is feeling a bit ill/nauseous and erik to take care of her”, diaper change, sofboi erik where he asks the reader to marry him, hc of erik being jealous of his girl is too close to t’challa? always texting/wanting to hang out when they visit, back to you series, readering driving erik nuts with cravings & mood swings. ex: interrupting his sleep for food runs only to say she doesn’t want that anymore when he returns & demand something else, “ whatever you’re trying to butter me up for, the answer is no”?, how did he meet his love?, life together, your first time, hurting, fears, sick day, jealous series, when you’re sick, night fights, two lines, opening up, newborn, comfort, some love, insecure, first steps, it’s time series, cool down time, first day back- @killmongerdrabbles
