Pain

In darkness, shadows cast a somber hue,

A heart once full, now broken, bruised, and blue,

The weight of what's lost presses upon my chest,

A grief that gnaws, and refuses to rest.

Tears fall like rain, a deluge of despair,

Sorrow's heavy chains entwine my soul, with care,

Yet, even in pain, a glimmer shines through,

A beacon of hope, to guide me anew.

And in that light, I find the strength to bear,

The scars that remain, the wounds that still repair.
