Only one contestant isn’t excited to participate. Killua, a mercenary forced to take his sister’s place, just wants to be eliminated so he can stop cross-dressing and return to work. But things take a turn for the worse when he finds himself succeeding despite his best efforts to fail—and as the competition continues, he begins to suspect the prince may have a couple of screws loose.

Because if Killua’s pass rate is any indication...the man has some very strange requirements for his future wife

This fic~ is immediately and without question one of my all-time favorites. Utterly hilarious & charming. Authentic friendships. I felt the stellar-story flutters and laughed way too actually-out-loud-ly. Thanks for the rec! ^^

Do you guys ever think how little sleep Stan must've got in the thirty years Ford's been gone?

This man has been getting up, every night, for thirty years trying to fix that damned portal, and then had to wake up early in the morning to keep the business of the mystery shack going, the sleep deprivation is real people.

But from another angle, do you think when he accidentally fell asleep at times, he woke up violently ill and guilty? Thinking to himself 'my brother is out there, who knows facing what and here I am, sleeping while he could be fighting for his life.' ?

It's probably not what happened, but I can't help but think even though his meeting with Ford was bitter, he finally slept at peace that night, knowing that at the very least his brother was here, at home, with his family, with him.

God these old men make me sick.

Lol, since we're talking about this again, let's get down the facts.

1. This is a morally grey situation. Everyone was in the wrong for something

2. Jake was in the wrong for giving into pressure and lying and not confronting Drew prior to episode nine about the bullying. He was not in the wrong for the way he was manipulated for Drew or ignored Hailey

3. Hailey was in the wrong for not hearing Jake out. She was not in the wrong for not believing her former bully, who was only nice to her for less than a month, and was not in the wrong for being emotional when she first heard the audio. It was a betrayal because she felt hurt by someone who she thought finally understood her pain

4. Drew was in the wrong for pressuring Jake and pushing him to belive that Hailey is a bad person. He was not in the wrong for shouting at Jake and believing that all he did was lie to the Jomies.

They're all just teenagers and they make mistakes, but that doesn't take away from the gravity of their flaws.

2, 7, 19 and 29 for the writer ask thingy?

2 (a character whose POV you’re currently exploring): Bellummmm i’ve jumped ahead slightly in a fic to do a scene from his pov (cant remember if it was originally in his pov or not) and i do enjoy trying to figure out his pov in general, this current one is in the ship oneshot so its both trying to write and figure out how he thinks/speaks plus the challenge of him being nonhuman and figuring out how to describe movement. otherwise i have an eldin ring and a smt iv fic both rotting in my wips somewhere that take a look at the povs of my tarnished and flynn where the neutral route splits off respectively.

7 (your preferred writing fonts): i dont really pay a lot of attention to fonts, i just start up a new word doc and the only thing i might tinker with is the line spacing- i usually end up in some sort of calibri or aptos or whatever the default font is.

19 (the most interesting topic you’ve researched for a fic): yeah im gonna be totally honest here and admit that i havent done a whole lot of research for most of my fics. i looked up how to block a knife yeaaaars ago and some light stuff about. um. yeah honestly i havent done a lot of research specifically for a fic, i generally look into stuff when it comes up and i deem it important enough to the fic, and since i put the most focus on the characters it generally doesn’t come up. more often than not, i tend to use past, unrelated research and my own existing knowledge, anyways, and play into that more. i do, however, do occasionally smatterings of research into injuries and illnesses and mental illnesses and all of that, partially out of general interest, but also because i like to keep it in mind for fic purposes. i have genuinely considered looking into taking an anatomy class primarily for fanwork purposes (but i do think the subject is genuinely interesting too)

29 (how easy is it for you to come up with titles?): coming up with titles is my achilles heel it SUCKS its a hell of my own creation i struggle with it so bad that’s why half of my loz aus have little placeholder names and why half of everything else is a song lyric or some quote. i only have a handful of original titles and any of the good ones likely took me ages to come up with. i tend to fall back on some flavor of pun.

Killua Zoldyck’s carefully crafted strategy to graduate early was all going according to plan. Until the beginning of his last scheduled year, when his academic advisor decided to share that he was missing all of his required athletics credits. And that all gym classes were full for the year. And, no, scanning into the workout center once a week could not count for credit.

What could count for full credit, though, was being a practicing athlete on a university sports team for a minimum of two semesters. Great news for the men’s baseball coach whose team desperately needed a new pitcher and was willing to give opposite-of-athletic Killua a shot. No hitting required, minimal fielding promised, and an unexpectedly killer curveball later, and Killua had a #99 jersey with his last name on it.

The issue? Killua knew nothing about baseball. Luckily for him, team captain and catcher Gon Freecss had selflessly volunteered to teach Killua everything he needed to know about the game outside of practices.

Luckily for him, Killua loved study sessions. And baseball pants. And maybe the fact that things didn’t always go according to plan.
