Really silly post canon idea featuring the Xian Le quartet!

Xie Lian, Hua Cheng, Feng Xin, and Mu Qing are going after a ghost that keeps cursing people. It's not a dangerous ghost, and the curses which fade after about a week, are just annoying rather than harmful.

The ghost has proven to be really evasive however. Pei Ming was the last one to go after it, and ended up cursed. He won't tell anyone what the curse is but he is absolutely refusing to go after it again. (Hua Cheng's guess is erectile dysfunction.)

They finally track down the ghost, and eventually do manage to capture it but all of them end up cursed. Feng Xin was the first to be cursed, and as he startled the ghost he got hit with the most random one which they don't discover until later that day, everything taste like oranges. From water to Xie Lian's cooking(All other affects of Xie Lian's cooking remain the same unfortunately for him), oranges. It not like he hates oranges or anything, and as a god he can just avoid eating until the curse wears off, so he's pretty much the most fortunate out of them.

Mu Qing as he does, rolled his eyes at the ghost a few times while they were perusing it. This really annoyed the ghost so Mu Qing's curse was a little more tailored to him. Every time he rolls his eyes a chicken egg pops out of his mouth, and immediately hatches. By the time they caught the ghost they had eight baby chickens Xie Lian had carefully gathered up in his hat to make sure nothing happened to them.

Xie Lian tried reasoning with the ghost which also annoyed it, so it cursed him to only be able to speak backwards. Hua Cheng is the only one who can understand him, which is kind of a problem because he got hit with the strongest curse. When the ghost found out Hua Cheng was after it, it really freaked out and tried to cast a curse that would make him sleep for the entire duration of the curse. Hua Cheng was too strong for it to work properly however, so instead he just randomly falls asleep for a few minutes. This is really annoying when he's in the middle of translating for Xie Lian, and he just keels over. It was the energy used on that last curse that exhausted the ghost enough that they caught it.

With FX and HC I cannot really think of much, other than FX being surrounded by ladies or something along those lines ,and some weakness of HC ,like maybe his soft corner for cats too?? Haha.. something MQ and HC can actually share. Idk I feel that MQ and HC have somewhat similar personalities, that's why they cannot see eye to eye apart from their personal grievances. MQ and HC both are sarcastic,so it's funny to see them somehow get along in a way that doens't appear too OOC , but should be awkward within the lines of been funny.

Actually it's funny to think about wwx having the most toxic real life fanbase of the mxtx protags when you consider that the other protags have their own super toxic in-universe fanbases.... Sqq's harem, xian le quartet, meanwhile wwx only has lwj who is just a little bit toxic 😿 so sad

is there a top 10 feng xin batshit moments to match the rest of the xian le quartet batshit/cunty moments?

compiling this was difficult and took teamwork because he’s just not nearly as insane as the other three but we did our best

1. when they realize that “weaker” people tend to get human face disease and he suggests that everyone in xianle just work out in order to be immune and xie lian and mu qing just. stare at him until he’s like “wait no-”

2. when sqx touches him with her boobs and he has like a complete meltdown about it and started cussing at her

3. when the cuocuo problem just started (before he knew..) and he suggested throwing cuocuo into the heavenly refinery and incinerating him

3. “fu yao is in detention.” “nan feng is … also in detention”

4. when he pulled arrows that were SHOT INTO HIS CHEST…. OUT of his body… and then started shooting them.

5. also when he is dangling above the lava holding mu qing with one arm and his bow with the other and pulling back/releasing arrows with his teeth while yelling at the lava demons to go fuck themselves

6. the fact that he literally did not cultivate at any point he just ascended because he had that much martial might/general sexy energy

7. the fact he was regularly, while they were SUPER broke, spending enough money to spend entire nights w/ jian lan just talking to her. like the king was dying he needed medicine i’m crying. and then you know the sex they had one time ruined her entire life.

8. when he kind of just stood there with cuocuo actively biting his arm and tearing it into a bloody mess, completely in shock, after finding out the Truth

9. when he and xie lian are busking for the first time and he doesn’t know what to do because no one will volunteer to let him shoot an apple off their head so he just fucking shoots into a building (which the owner is. not pleased about)

10. WHEN HE BREAKS HIS OWN ARM..

I'm just imagining the Xian le quartet on a mission together, Feng Xin, and Mu Qing separate from Hualian, and as soon as they are out of sight, and hearing range a panicked man runs over shoves an infant into Xie Lian's arms shouting "Don't lose him! I'll try and come back!" before running off being chased by several people.

Hualian stand there with the baby not sure what to do when Feng Xin, and Mu Qing get back.

FX: What the fuck. We weren't even gone for fifteen minutes!

MQ: It's not theirs idiot.

FX: I fucking know that! Where, and how did they get a baby in less than fifteen minutes!?

TGCF First Read Reactions - Ch. 20

HuaLian just casually stargazing together while FY and NF appropriately are like 'WTF, GUYS!'

XL giving off gege vibes the whole time as he keeps an eye out for our damsel in not distress (SL).

SL trying to share indirect kisses with XL via water bottle when FY decides NOW is the appropriate time to c***block.

As FY and NF are trying to get SL to drink out of FY's bottle, and they both stare at XL, completely insulted, like, "Why are you not helping!?"

I like how when XL was testing SL's identity, SL just went along with it and just thought gege was a cutie. Now when FY and NF try to test him, he breaks their stuff X-D.

Also... I'm a little emotional about how NF probably scoured the earth to find Hong Jing again because of how meaningful it was to him and XL. I'm also a little emotional about it being shattered to pieces now.

thank you for your interest in these scholarly pursuits!! the vortex is the nickname given to a post-canon scenario i have devised and am writing about (with some input from some beloved mutuals and anons) in which our dearly beloved xie lian the moral center of the universe maybe kind of fucks around with infidelity with mq and possibly fx resulting in mass chaos and emotional upheavals no one is ready for and lots of weird xian le trio sex

FAQ 2: why would you write that?

because i think it would be interesting to see the challenges this would present to all relationships involved!! i think that the blind trust and devotion hc has for xl, while it makes sense in the context of tgcf and in their roles as ghost and god, would actually end up causing some issues in a real human relationship and i find that very compelling
