16. ok so when i was daydreaming as always i come up with some ideas and i thought im sure someone wrote this. A) Wangxian / regression. Wei or Wangji or both will turn back in time where they can fix their past mistakes or regrets before bad things happen. Rewriting of Mo Dao Zu Shi from a regression perspective. ( i don't prefer the untamed fics but I don't care as long as i can find what i want) . I have one more but letter limit prevent me writing so i will make a second of this

B) Second one is more spesific and probably there is no fic like that. This is more like transmigration/isekai where some fan or reader of the mdzs enter the story as a side/mob and try to fix things and also brings couples together. I don't want mc to fall in love with main characters or anything like she must ship wangxian(it is a must) and make them couples. Zhuzhi-lang sighs and takes his headphones off, nearly getting a migraine at the sudden influx of noise. “What?” He asks again. His eyes flit over the form of the barista, taking him in. He has dark hair tied up in a ponytail without a lock out of place, sleeves perfectly cuffed, and a clean-cut air that verges on unrealistic. He reminds Zhuzhi-lang of the protagonists in Tianlang-jun’s dramas whose appearances were signaled by slow-mo pans, showing off their perfect teeth and sparkling eyes. Zhuzhi-lang tries his best not to sneer. How annoying.

Xiao Jun stared at the alarm clock beside him, the neon numbers reflecting in his eyes. The weight of your body was heavy behind him as you slept soundly, blissfully unaware of the chaos in his mind. The chaos that wouldn’t seem to let him sleep. 

You rolled over, one of your arms coming to lay across his waist. He froze, trying to gauge whether or not you were still asleep. Your breathing was as steady as ever, but this didn’t calm his racing heart. He could hear it in ears, beating like a drum. It was so loud that the irrational part of him was scared that it would wake you. Your breath ghosted along the back of his neck, and he resigned himself to a sleepless night.

Thinking Out Loud | Xiao Dejun (Xiao Jun)

Pairing: Xiao Dejun (Xiao Jun) x Reader

Summary: Your gorgeous boyfriend Xiao Jun wonders if you’re only with him for his looks... Sometimes even the most beautiful people need a little reassuring.

You’re snuggled up in blankets you laid out in the back of Xiaojun’s old Jeep, the sea breeze whipping rose into your cheeks. The tender waves break under the lilting melodies from Xiaojun’s scratched acoustic guitar.  

Wearing away at his bottom lip, he looks up and says, “Isn’t the view beautiful?” You notice the blushed peach seeping through the early morning sky. You turn back, and watch the sweep of Xiaojun’s cheekbone, his coral lips. “You’re beautiful,” you say.

Xiaojun smiles, his music never faltering, but a shadow passes over his eyes. “That’s why you love me, right?” His voice is so gentle, so musical, that you don’t grasp the meaning of his words.  

Then, a tide of sickness submerges you. “Wait, what? What do you mean?” You crane your neck towards Xiaojun. His eyes are fixed on his guitar. That faint, wrong smile still curves his lips. “It’s okay, Y/n, don’t worry. I’m okay with it.”

A whirlpool sucks at your heart. “You’re okay with what? Hey- Xiaojun, look at me!” The music stops. He finally turns, and there’s an ocean in his eyes. “Look, Y/n, I know what you love about me, and I’ve been fine with it for a while. You love me for this” – he draws your trembling hand along his sharp jaw – “for this,” – he presses your palm against the firm muscle under his sweatshirt – “and that’s alright.” You hate the desire pooling inside you.  

You pry your hand from his grasp, blinking seawater back into your eyes. A dark, dark thought swirls at the base of your stomach. “No! You’re all wrong. I don’t just love the way you look, Xiaojun – of course not!” His face is stretched in a way you can’t recognise.

“What is it, then? Why have we been together all this time?” Xiaojun starts fingering out another song on the guitar, but you grab his hand, freezing his movements.

“It’s not just that! I- I love the way you…” But your mind is shell-hollow and roaring with the sea breeze. You wring your brain out for something, anything. “I- I love that you…” You feel like you’re drowning.

The crying of seagulls replaces your voice for a moment too long. Xiaojun forces a gulp down his throat. Pushing the guitar off him, he lies down. Xiaojun buries himself completely under the blanket, pulling his knees close in a way that snaps something in your core.

Your cheeks are wet and stinging with sea spray. You look down at that swell in the blankets, bunched tight and quivering ever so slightly. Do you really love him just for his looks? You stare into the murky pool of your heart more sharply than you ever have before.

Slowly, something surfaces. It’s a murky glint, a little rusty but shimmering, nonetheless. Stretching over Xiaojun’s huddled form, you pull his guitar into your lap. It feels different than you remember, and digs into your thighs, but the notes are still there.

With shaking fingers, you twang out a muddy C major chord.

Your voice, crackling with sand, croaking an awful parody to your favourite song. “You’re the most inspiring person I’ve ever met,” you sing.

Another, slightly clearer note emerges from the guitar. “You care for me like nobody else.” Your trembling voice breaks through the morning mist.

“You’re a better friend than I could ever be, mm-hmm, and I love you more than-“  Your mind goes blank, the last two syllables of the line hanging unfulfilled. “more than…”

Then, a melodious voice rumbles from under the blanket.

“the sea!”

You look down and see Xiaojun, his face red and swollen, shaking with laughter. He grabs the guitar from your hands and plays the correct chords of the song with a flourish. The muscles you didn’t know you’d tensed finally relax.

Xiaojun sings the rest of the song with you, your voices soaring through the sky like seagulls. The way his face lights up with music and sunrise, the clear voice rising past his uneven teeth – it makes your heart burst. The red sun swells tenderly into morning.

By the end of the song, your voices are hoarse, but your hearts are warm. You wrap your arms around Xiaojun’s waist, squeezing tight.

Xiaojun murmurs, “That was the worst cover I’ve ever heard.” He places a kiss on the side of your head.

“It was also my favourite.”
