If you look closely at the circular pattern (halo) and background you can see the symbols and creatures from the traditional Wheel of Fortune tarot card design.

Also if you haven't already heard X-Men '97 is amazing!

Pixie is ADORABLE as “Page of Wands”! 😭

As much as I love @xmen-tarot and debated about ordering it for a friend…I kind of wished they had branched out more with different characters on some of them since X-Men has SO MANY CHARACTERS…(I was kind of disappointed to see so many of the Avengers for example ☹️)…I get it’s more inspired by XTAS…but still…

[ I GET having Vision and Black Panther, since they were married to Wanda and Ororo…although I don’t GET putting Vision as “King of X-Men”… also “Strength” should have TOTALLY been Monet… “Knight of Wands” should have been Captain Britain!…and “Two of Swords” should have been X-23!😕]

The WEIRD Sisters + Sabrina 🧙‍♀️ (and more throwbacks from last October) It's almost October. Last year was the first time I ever participated in a themed daily drawing 'event' outside of my own initiative. Now, there's some weird stuff with the whole I*ktober this year, so it most likely won't be called that anymore, but I might be participating again this year, though on my own terms. My goal is to get 31 sketches done. From October 1st, 2020 until October 31st, 2080 [yeah, so like when I'm 90.] As long as I complete them within that time frame, I'm golden. Which basically means, just do it. I've mentioned in previous posts, pre-COVID and pre-social-media-hiatus, that I had some plans on themes of what I wanted to do for general daily sketches. One of those themes is what I'm thinking of doing and I'm pretty excited about it. [It's NOT tarot... I know, I know... I need to finish up my deck still! AH! 😭😩 But patience... Just got a marvel tarot deck recently but it doesn’t have enough X-men for my liking, and I feel like some of the cards and characters should be swapped so I’m making my own Mutant/X-men themed deck.

It’s alot but it’s really cool and if you want I can keep you guys updated. Right now I’m just deciding what goes with what card (I honestly might need a little help with that because I’ve never really messed with tarot before).

I’ve already assigned the Major Arcana cards but I might change a couple depending on the rest of the deck.

My 7th Xmen as tarot cards: The Hermit featuring Colossus. Sweet Piotr, whose metal shell hides a softer soul, who longed to be far from the demands of battle and war. Whose eyes are always searching within, and whose ears are always poised to listen.

My 9th Xmen tarot card is The Moon, featuring The Black Queen, Selene. The card is about illusion and deception, of hidden things and mental confusion. It is about inner fears influencing the present and the future. The 2 monoliths at the back represent secret knowledge, shrouded in darkness, and one for those lost to time.

My 5th Xmen tarot fan art: Jean Grey as The Strength. Her coming to terms with the Phoenix, I think, is very the spirit of this card. Also, she’s the true powerhouse of the group.

I thought the Wheel of Fortune was perfect for Betsy and Kwannon, as they have taken center stage at different times on the stage that is the X-men’s lives. The angels show one that would like to affect the outcome, and one that thought otherwise.
