You know what would be so cool? Memory flashback cutscenes in ZA like the ones in tears of the kingdom (shown through the zygarde cells more specifically the cores since they are the “eyes” of zygarde who is the “observer” of the land). When gathering them, you activate the memories of certain places back in time (potentially the time when AZ was still king and they show the ultimate weapon, the aftermath of war etc). It would be nice to incorporate the ancient past that way since I don’t think we would be time hopping to the past back and forth, assuming we are sent to the 1860-70’s and staying there for the story.

been thinking about my connection to transness and how it might change after im post bottom surgery and through my experience of meeting post op men that no longer id as trans - its always due to community opinions. like the intercommunity resources and support available for trans mascs rarely extends towards bottom surgery and if it does it does not extend post op.

the general way that is talked about natal genitals being the only option to a point that if youre trans and a man and talk about having anything other than a pussy people will accuse you of taking over conversations or space meant for non op folks at the least or flat out tell you that youre no longer considered trans by in group standards you know, you got your dick you got the life some of them desperately claim can never be a possibility for anyone. Its like bottom surgery topics are often shut down in group trans therapy for "everyones comfort" talking about bottom dysphoria on the other hand is always allowed but the solutions for it cant be discussed lest it makes the trans people that still view surgery as mutilation uncomfortable, forget about what that means when youve had surgery and their hostility towards post op bodies is just the same as anyone cis being transphobic. And when the same spaces where you found trans community start becoming less and less relatable to you and youre treated like youre taking space when youre really just cis now so you should listen and talk less and then those men stop identifying with the trans label and among the community everyone talks shit about the trans people that get theirs and then "abandon" transness like they are traitors. Its a lot of bullshit

xingqiu and chongyun have insanely good potential for angst my god. xingqiu in particular is so fun to think about in the context of chongyun. what do YOU know about chivalry boy

thinking about how he and hu tao kinda operate on similar notions of justice and all that shmick except hu tao is more strictly averse to disrupting the Natural Order (incredibly vague and generalized concept rn sorry) whilst xingqiu sets his principles more arbitrarily. chongyun's presence somehow foils a lot of his notable character traits. gestures hands vaguely in the air but sth sth hu tao would not approve of xq's moral infractions

perhaps im just reading too deep into this but shrugs ill admit something's changed in Me the last 2 years and coming back to xq and cy has me like. scratches head now hold on im not entirely sure if i even like the way xq treats cy. its kinda one of the main points of their dynamic- the whole.. pranking this oblivious guy who i really adore etc. but its deeper implications leave me a little unsatisfied and a little troubled (?).. in the long run i personally dont really see anything substantially appealing about their (leaning towards romantic in this context) relationship other than like ?? the tropes that mhy imposed upon them. they were created as a compatible Duo ykwim. they reference each other a lot in their lore and even in-game but.. idk maybe i just view them separately instead of a joint unit that anaylzing them individually revealed a lot of crevices and cracks in their ship that's built upon their mainstream appeal

but anyway i've thought a lot about them as a duo and is it nuts to say i like them as a romantic ship but if they were unrequited. i can see them working out but it necessitates a complete subversion and reconstruction of xingqiu (chara development basically LOL) on my part that i would totally invest myself in but im not entirely sure how to execute it

i like xingqiu a LOT as a flawed character. i wouldnt go as far as to say hes toxic, just very conflicted and insecure. hes a fun character to think about. re: the hu tao bit i mentioned above, i think they would have a really fun, witty, and transformative friendship

but anyway. yes i like xq and i still like xy. theyre just a bit more complicated now aha. im still capable of enjoying fluffy ship dynamics but lately ive been in a Character Study Mood ... mmm.. ive yet to organize my chongming thoughts

A Little Rambling

With "Pokémon Legends: Z-A" coming, I'm trying to re-establish my version of Serena in my works. Although I told myself I would distance myself from my main muse, the return to Kalos brought me back to her.

This Serena is different than usual, for I established her as having traits of Chloe and Liko due to not encountering Ash in childhood. She begins her story as a quiet bookworm who chooses a Fennekin as her first partner. While a good person, her family situation has left her isolated growing up. Her initial friend was a boy named Calem, but they lost contact after he started his journey.

Grace tries to get her out of her shell by having her take Rhyhorn Racing lessons. Her attempts are hit and miss, and it's only when her daughter mistakes Ash for Calem that she realizes a Pokémon journey is what gets her to open up.

It works. Serena meets Ash, Clemont, Bonnie, and others, finds her calling as a Coordinator, and realizes her strength as a girl who can use Mega Evolution.

Her main Pokémon are Delphox, Fancy Pattern Vivillon, female Meowstic, Pangoro, Shiny (Mega) Absol, and Sylveon.
