Hot take but I really, really despise posts that say “reblog/repost if you support/are against x” because they always demonize people who don’t repost it. Like wtf no one has to share or repost something just to prove they support or are against something or it means they’re a bad person for not sharing it. It comes off as performative activism tbh.

Oooookay, so in my quest to find a Drarry fic I like I came up with my own idea. Basically, instead of Harry, Ron and Hermione all being captured (during the war), Harry manages to draw attention so only he is captured and manages to hide his face (similarly to what Hermione does). He gets taken to the manor and Draco is asked to identify him. Harry is absolutely sure Draco knows it’s him, but Draco hesitates to say so. In that moment, Harry gets a Voldemort vision: Voldemort has found the Elderwand. However, Voldemort also sees what Harry sees, which is Draco, with the absolute certainty that Draco knows it‘s him and isn‘t saying anything.

So Voldemort returns to Malfoy manor absolutely PISSED and accuses Draco of treason and starts torturing him while Narcissa tries to reason with him. Voldemort demands all Malfoys prove their loyalty by torturing Draco with Cruciatus. Bellatrix does not hesitate. Lucius is reluctant, but too afraid to resist, so he complies. Narcissa begs that he‘s her son and she just can‘t. Haven’t decided if he kills her for it.

Then Voldemort turns to Harry, who doesn‘t want to die and tells Voldmort that he‘s a horcrux so he won‘t be killed (Hermione figured it out earlier). Voldemort tortures him a bit too and then throws the both of them in the cellars of the Manor. Which is where this picture comes in (with a lot more humor than the fic would have).

I haven‘t decided how this would end (apart from Drarry, lol), but the glorious escape would entail Harry realizing Draco is the master of the Elderwand and them using that fact to escape. Now that I think about it though, Voldemort torturing Draco would probably make him the master… eh, I haven‘t figured it out yet.

But enjoy the image, because writing is hard and I probably will never actually write this fic.

i understand harry doesnt rly know how painful a cruciatus can be atp so fine ill give him a pass but what gets me is that he was fighting draco before this? lit the last paragraph is draco TAUNTING him behind snapes back

yet the next paragraph he thinks abt how to torture snape instead??? what abt draco?? hes the one who made the badges and called hermione a mudblood again AND the one that hexed her? the worst snape did in this scenario was mock hermiones teeth. where is harrys priorities??

In all this musing on Dravo and Sally Flymm, what I find interesting is that Gortash becomes hostile if you kill them before you take him out. The fact that he tadpole'd them doesn't reflect much love lost but then if you put them out of their misery... he's not happy about that. It's interesting.

Personally I very much love this little detail. Cuz he's so not over what happened, regardless of what he says or does. The fact that he has the scrapbook and his other book/newspapers in the Flymm household already leads me to believe that he's been there for quite a significant amount of time, not just once to tadpole them and leave again. Doubt he went there with a huge ass backpack carrying his stuff, dropped it off and then dipped never to be seen again.

I just believe that, despite all, that place may have been his little sanctum. Not the foundry or the Fortress, but the old house with his tadpoled parents who finally (albeit forced) behave how he imagined parents would be. Especially after his ally disappeared, I believe even Gortash needed some breaks where he could be "Enver Gortash" and not "the Tyrant"™️. For the last decade or so, this source seems to have been his ally and equal, but with them gone, he went back to get twisted revenge on those who hurt him. And I think this is necessary as it shows that, yeah, he's very not cool about the latest events, but I doubt that guy ever learned how to grieve so he jumped right into a "new" project he deemed could comfort him.

Once again, this is just my interpretation, but; I think it speaks for his longing for a "home" and his deeply rooted resentment. The home part appears very important to him as he also welcomes Durge back home, first via Steelwatcher, then in person. And resentment as that man simply does not want his parents to die. It's the easy way out after all they've done to him. They have to pay for it by being his puppets, objects to be toyed with like he once was, but it is also a very twisted attempt at healing himself by making them the parents he's always wanted, yk? It's a childish longing but an understandable one. They were his parents, they were supposed to love him. He wanted their love. So now that he has the means, he will get it.

He wants to let go, and probably knows, objectively speaking, that would be the right thing to do, but even the Iron Tyrant has a human side to him. One which is incredibly hurt, twisted and messed up.

Bonus, despite mingling with patriars and being the archduke, he still aims to be seen as someone down to earth, one of the people so to say. And his being a "family man" fits right into the picture he tries to portray but these two despicable humans would never cooperate, probably actively try to mess with his plans, so they just don't get to have any autonomy anymore.

Me trying to explain how 'Cigarette Daydream' is literally Cedric Diggory's song, how he was only 17, how everyone just saw him for his face and forgets that he was literally chosen to compete in the triwizard games, how happy he must have been to have his name finally seperated from his looks only for people to remember him not for his quidditch skills or his grades or the fact that he was Hufflepuff prefect but only for his good looks.

He was only 17 and he had everything he ever wanted and yet nothing ever seemed his, how he was so close to the trophy but was stripped away bare, how he was his parents pride and joy,

they do, they spoil draco rotten, and their love for him takes higher precedence than voldemort himself, where lucius even tries to ask voldemort to postpone the battle so he can check on draco, and narcissas lie during DH after knowing that dracos still alive

just to show some of the bts info we get for the malfoys:

theres alot more, like lucius ensuring that buckbeak gets executed for harming his son, or narcissa sending daily sweets to draco when hes in school, it was also narcissa who opened the idea of snape taking the unbreakable vow to protect draco. lucius and narcissa's love for draco are one of the main reasons he grew up to be an annoying sheltered brat, and i sincerely doubt he'd be this much of a brat if he didnt have both parents to fall back to.
