Pixal, you noticed, was actually jokingly joining in on Kai and Jay’s argument. She would add in one point that was completely absurd and it would cause the other two to blow up again. Then there was Cole. You were surprised that he wasn’t also a part of the argument, but you suppose the topic of…maybe devil worship? You weren’t sure, but still, whatever it was didn’t seem to interest the earth ninja. “And, yeah, I don’t know. I just don’t really understand why I’ve always got to be doing something.” Lloyd finished his story up and you nodded along, having listened intently the entire time.

It took a week before she finally was able to meet people. The day was gloomy and clouds were in the sky, indicating incoming rain. Two boys passed by the house as she was swinging on the swing her parents had ordered installed for her. She watched as they came and went multiple times, playing with their blue ball and almost cackled in glee when one of the boys, the younger one, a boy with red messy hairs and freckles, who looked to be nine years old, threw the ball too far away and it landed close to her. She stood from her swing quickly to pick up the ball and stood–

“Careful!” warned the older, a boy with dark skin and brown eyes, who only looked slightly older than she did. The girl suspected he might be thirteen or fourteen.

It was too late, because not even a second later, she felt the seat of the swing collide with her back and she fell on the floor. The two boys ran to her; the youngest holding the swing as the older one helped her stand up. She winced, hoping her father hadn’t heard the commotion; she knew he would be mad if learned she was interacting with mortals. She didn’t want to be confined to her room for a year like he had done before.

The girl shuddered at the memory. Maybe trying this wasn’t a good idea; if he found out, he would surely do worse, he had promised it last time. She didn’t want to leave, she didn’t want to remain confined again.

She hated how cold and lonely and empty her room felt when it was the only thing she saw for months, she–

“You alright there?” Asked the oldest with his brows furrowed, unaware of the fact that he had snapped her out of her spiraling thoughts.

She nodded, still dazed and gave them their ball. They thanked her and the other mortal asked, “Are you living here? Nobody’s seen the new inhabitants yet. Mom says it’s impolite to not even greet anybody after moving in. Mom said only communists would do such an impolite thing.”

(Y/n) squirmed, embarrassed by these words. She didn’t know anything about neighborly etiquette. Should she have researched the subject before? She doubted her father was informed on that matter, but perhaps her dad knew more; he had always been more aware of mortal things than they were. 

The older glared at the youngest and lightly slapped the back of his head. “Rem, you can't just say that!”

“You heard her say it too!” Protested the redhead in outrage, ready to defend his statement.

The older one sighed and shook his head before rubbing the back of his head in embarrassment. “Excuse my step-brother, Jeremy; he doesn’t know what he’s saying. I’m Kenneth. We live just across from here.”

A smile graced her features again. "My name is (Y/n)," she introduced herself with a graceful tilt of her head, her voice carrying a controlled and melodic cadence, "how do you do? I live here with my fathers." She had to make a good impression.

Jeremy narrowed his eyes. “You have an accent,” he noted in fascination. “Where are you from? You're not a communist, are you? Mom said we can't speak to those.”

(Y/n) sensed some mistrust coming from him, and she quickly used her empath abilities to soothe him before his words registered in her mind. (Y/n)'s expression faltered for a moment, a hint of confusion clouding her features before she shook her head lightly. “I don’t have an accent,” she denied while pointing at him, “You do have an American accent though.”

The redhead shook his head in disbelief, crossing his arms over his chest in a gesture of defiance. “Americans don’t have accents, silly,” he retorted with a grin, his eyes alight with amusement.

But (Y/n) wasn't about to let the matter go so easily. She protested adamantly, insisting that she could clearly hear the distinct nuances in his speech. Back and forth they bantered, neither willing to concede their stance on the matter  before eventually realizing they wouldn’t agree on that matter. 

"But where are you from?" he asked, his tone gentle yet insistent, "You're not from here, are you?"

She shook her head. "No, I was born in England,” she revealed, her voice carrying a faint trace of longing for her homeland. She still missed England dearly. She knew vampires typically never spent more than a century in the same country, but she had still been devastated when her parents had decided to leave; even more when they sailed to a different continent altogether. 

Jeremy looked starstruck, their small innocuous disagreement already far behind in his mind, thanks to her abilities. "Really? Did you ever meet the queen?" he asked eagerly, his imagination already running wild with visions of royal encounters and grand palaces. 

She giggled at that, then tilted her head, contemplating the question. After a brief moment of contemplation, she realized that he was likely referring to Queen Elizabeth II, rather than Queen Victoria. "No, never," she replied with a casual shrug, noting the slight disappointment that flickered across Jeremy's face at her response.

"Hey, wanna join us tomorrow at two o'clock? We'll be down this street with all the neighborhood kids. Probably going to play Hide-and-seek.”

(Y/n) smiled warmly at the invitation, her curiosity piqued by the prospect of joining in with the neighborhood kids. "Sure, I'd love to!" she replied eagerly, the thought of meeting new mortals outweighing any concerns she might have had about the unfamiliar game they mentioned.

Although she had never heard of Hide-and-seek before, (Y/n) was undeterred. As she agreed to meet them the following day at two o'clock, her mind was already buzzing with anticipation. (Y/n) knew she would have to find a way to sneak out without her fathers noticing, but she was determined not to let that stop her from joining in on the fun. With a mischievous glint in her eye, she began plotting a way to sneak out, confident that she could pull it off.

Okay I haven’t made many posts with her included (which im gonna do 😂) but I LOVE Ayako

She’s very beautiful and i think in a way that’s unconventional compared to many mangas. Curly haired female characters are really uncommon in manga, so seeing a girl like ayako was really surprising. I think her features overall make her look really realistic. Like she looks morrocan or dominican, and the fact that she’s portrayed to be canonically beautiful makes it so that her features are portrayed in a positive light

Also she’s literally the backbone of the team? Part of why Miyagi stayed for hs basketball was because she encouraged the team so well. She’s been there since before the team was good, like how akagi and kogure were. And throughout the series, she gave the boys ALOT of support. Like girl was literally the one who taught Sakuragi the basics??

Sawakita is also very different from other sports manga rivals. I mean he gets made fun of by his own team, mf cries SM. He has fangirls and I think he treats them well (shown by how he wore a t shirt one of them gifted).

They’re all here for different reasons so I’m saying fuck the rules everybody lives! I am an absolute Album Listener like I’m usually in the mood for a specific album and I’ll listen straight through(but maybe skip a couple songs here and there)

1. Montaigne- Complex (This is the first year in like 3 years that Montaigne hasn’t been my number 1 or 2 artist on wrapped but all their albums still absolutely rule but this one is my fave.)

2. The Killers- Sam’s Town (I’ve been a Killers fan since I saw Somebody Told Me on the vh1 top 20 video countdown ✌️Hot Fuss is a banger but Sam’s Town holds a special place. Remember when we had song ringtones? The song Sam’s Town from the album Sam’s Town was mine for so long in high school.)

3. Punisher- Phoebe Bridgers (the soundtrack of my 2020 I used to come home exhausted from work and sit in bed and listen to punisher straight through and read fanfic to unwind. In hindsight not a Great Time but in the moment it kept me sane)

4. Coheed and Cambria- In Keeping Secrets Of Silent Earth 3 (the amount of Coheed I listened to in college was astronomical. For a while they got linked to a shitty time so I couldn’t listen but seeing them in the line up for WWWY is bringing me back babeyyy. Honestly big respect to Claudio Sanchez for making a whole band and multiple albums around his little OCs)

5. My Chemical Romance- The Black Parade (truly do I have to explain)

6. Petey- Lean Into Life (Petey made up 28% of my top 100 songs this year alone so he’s earned his place)

7. The Wombats- Glitterbug (I was torn between this one and Beautiful People Will Ruin Your Life but Headspace being on Glitterbug means it wins)

8. Metric- Live It Out (Another HS/College banger. I used to get so anxious during boss/big enemy fights in video games so I would listen to this album and sometimes specifically Monster Hospital on repeat. Sad I don’t like any of Metrics stuff post Fantasies but their early albums are great)

9. One Direction- Made In The AM (if yall haven’t been here for long you missed the 1D years and tbh I’m sad for you it was a fun time. Glad I got in as a fully cooked adult so I could avoid the extremely toxic parts and just have fun. Anyway last album best album when is the hiatus ending boys!!!!!!!!!)

omg i have so much more freedom than i ever had and its absolutely AMAZING!! like for starters i am a big romance fan and now i can actually enjoy my romance games/shows without someone guilt tripping me into deleting them because that person is insecure of some pngs !!!! and now i can go to bed whenever i want and can stay up as long as i want and i dont have a strict bedtime set by my partner!!!! and i can talk to whoever i want and i dont even have anyone making fun of my comfort characters anymore :DDD getting out of a relationship is so freeing asjklhgasdjkasjdh if all relationships are like this i think id just be better off single LOL /hj

its just so nice to not constantly be micromanaged by your partner!!! and to not have to worry about being yelled at or hit for doing the Wrong thing!!!!

but breaking up isnt ALL i have to talk about askjhaskdh!!! ive been taking a bigbig break from all of social media and its helped improve my mood a WHOLE BUNCH and im vvvv happy now!!! and and and ive been working on loving myself more and having more confidence, which is coming along VERY smoothly!! im starting to focus on myself more rather than those around me and its seriously helped me feel so much better :)))

We are off to a bad start Netflix started playing suits when I opened it for some fucking reason

Right off the bat, Eliza Taylor's American accent isn't bad at all, but it's got the American vocal fry that I hate

Also it's really funny to me that the lead actors of this show have names that are near identical to people who are way more famous than them (Eliza Taylor and Bob Morely)

Not a good sign that the UK part of the Ark, the spaceship these people are staying post apocalypse, looks like it has cardboard on the exterior

Juvenile offenders call lockup "the sky box" which is was teenagers are never in charge of naming things

Wells got himself arrested not for Clarke, but in my headcannon, that The 99 isn't as good of a title

My only solace for having to deal with Finn is that unlike the first time I watched this show, I know he dies instead of just wishing for it

This show really likes shot to shot scenes where the camera is just panned up a little so you can see up the actor's nose and it's so awkward

I dont want to be that person, but I think it's very telling that Abby (Clarke's mother)'s best friend is an Asian woman who is still unnamed despite having more lines than multiple white characters who are already named. Like this show is quite diverse and it's not going to be fun rewatching and seeing how poorly they handled that diversity.

Director: "okay can you boys just improv for a moment to delay the scene so we can have the big moment at the chorus of the song?" Actors: "Sure boss!"

What!?!?! You're not alone on Earth?!?! I never would have seen that coming! /s

Final rating: 7/10 despite its flaws I'm far too interested to not continue. What shot Jasper?? Idk! It's a fun lord of the flies story that is really interesting if only its dialogue was better

Time to put together the Tumblrpon Family Picture!

Here's how this will work:

Anyone and everyone is allowed to respond to this with a full-body of their blog character(s), yall can also dm me any picture

I'll put all of the pictures together in one big photo like so! (Forgive the old art)

There will be a background, so don't worry about that

Rules:

1. Your art must have a transparent background (or white if you can't do transparent) ((if you can only draw traditionally, I will try my best to crop the character for you))

2. Must be a full body

3. If you do multiple characters, it's recommended but not necessarily required to do them separate from each other (if you have them interacting, that's a different story, that's fine)

Tips:

There's a camera pointed at the characters, so keep that in mind when drawing your character, if you'd rather they don't look at the camera, that's fine :)

If your character can fly, then feel free to have them flying!

If you want to draw your character interacting with someone else's, be sure to give them a message and work together!

The reason I'm putting this together myself rather than having a reblog chain is so I can make sure everyone gets included and the chain doesn't split off

getting married is a Big One tho i think she gets a lil sad about how yuri, her sisters, and eloras crew couldnt be there. it isnt perfect w/o them!!!! arahana can get very particular about things like this. so i can see her like one day wanting to do the ceremony again after she's had some time to track down elora's crewmates + reunite w/ her sisters. yuri is like one of her dearest friends too and part of how it was even possible so it never felt 100% right without her... arahana is very stubborn & determined so i can see her getting this done one day! and it'd be the happiest day of her life :)

she also rly cherishes the days she spent building the rubyfist cabin w/ elora, i rly hope i can sit down and Write the whole thing i have planned for this one day cause it was as much a building of her relationship w/ elora as it was the cabin itself. there were some really hard, painful days, cause there was so much emotional baggage to unpack for literally both of them to be able to Settle Down like they wanted, but arahana wouldnt trade them for anything

and ofc... adventuring with lasha, yuri, and eden. she treasures those days and friendships so much, there was a lot of pain there too w/ it being eloraquest, and them almost dying 234234 times but arahana would do it all over again even knowing all that. and they all bickered sometimes (a lot) but arahana loves eden yuri and lasha so very very much. as hard as it was, there were a lot of fun days too, and arahana often thinks back on, and even misses, those days where they traveled together!!

🧠 - What do you like most about the OC?

augh what dont i love about arahana... she is my everything girl. i've told this story 234234 times before but i grew up in roleplay spaces, so even tho i Wanted to write women, often when i tried id often get sidelined / ignored (in general... not by any of my old rp friends reading this)... so you often had to write dudes if you wanted any interaction at all. arahana was a very clear step into Writing the kinda characters i wanna write: women who unabashedly, unashamedly, openly love women with every fiber of their being baby!!!! arahana being butch is also very important to me, and i love the how she interacts w/ her butchness if that makes sense. i also rly loved writing arahanas story w/ yall in general, like... i think of those days so fondly all the time cause it was where i got to know yall too!!! and i love how arahana grew as a character; her personal development & her relationships with elora, lasha, and yuri....... its all good stuff and i love arahana very much for it.

hmmmm im not sure i can say there is! typically if i wanna do something i just do it XD i really wanna stretch my muscles and write more angst but my love of happy endings always pulls me away from doing that. its such a curse being a sap sometimes lmao.

(OH WAIT I LIED enemies to lovers is one of my fave tropes and i havent really written that but uh........i am full of thoughts now)

hmmmmmm mmmm im not a huge fan of teacher and student dynamics tbh they always make me feel kinda icky XD i also fucking HATE miscommunication tropes like yall just TALK FOR THE LOVE OF GOD they absolutely have made me stop reading stuff before cuz i get so frustrated

(ok so i dont think the prompt meant anything kink wise but also god me and my friend were just talking about this aksjha SO i wont ever write anything mpreg and i probably wont write anything with vore. for one, i dont think i could do any of those kinks justice for people who do like them and two.......i dont really like them)
