To this day one of my fave chapter titles and one of my fave chapters overall, I was so excited to write a whole chapter from the boys’ POV and I tried very hard to really get across their personalities and how they each think of their squad, I remember I spent like a week planning the chapter and then another week writing and editing just to make it perfect, and I’m still very proud of this chapter.

First: Sky being so proud of his team and of himself for getting jobs not due to his royal status but due to their hard work.

First mention of Shirley, though no name drop. And, in case yall didn’t know in this chapter Riven makes mention of Cloud Tower inscriptions -“Have you started preparing the papers and the essay?” Another pause, “I know it’s still a long time for the due date but it’s best to start preparing now.” Another longer pause and Riven sighed heavily, “Just listen to me for once please. Start checking everything. - cause originally Shirley was older and was gonna start Cloud Tower in s2 instead of s3 but then I made a very soft reboot of her age (cause I realized I wanted her to be close in age to Roxy so she could be part of that squad) so that’s a little fun fact right there.

This makes me very emotional, again, them just starting their friendship, what do you mean I once wrote them before they were bonded for life and brothers?

All of them panicking and fighting, they’re still learning how to be a team! -Soon all four of them were yelling, all sense of compatriot ship forgotten in the face of panic.-

“The plants were scared?” Riven’s tone became dismissive, which earned him a few angry glances from the other girls when Flora shrank into herself.

“Hey, she just kinda saved your asses so watch the tone.” Musa was quick to retort, stepping in front of Flora.

“It’s fine Musa-”

“No it’s not. Now, are you gonna keep being idiots and insist that you don’t need anyone, or are you going to let us help you so we can find the troll and get this over with?” Musa didn’t wait for an answer, whipping around and taking the lead, dragging Flora with her.

Musa’s ride-or-die ass showing itself for the first time. And Flora used to be so quick to back down it makes me want to cry!!!!

Tecna awkwardly hovering around Timmy, trying to help him fix the walkie but not knowing how to engage in conversation, the start of their dynamic, I’m dying.

And finally, a longer Brandon POV to show his connection with Stella and we see Stella’s first instinct is to take care of and protect the girls. I think this is when I finally started to figure out how I wanted to write Stella.

I think most things are a weakness for me. I'm told my descriptive writing is great, but I always think it needs so much improvement because of my inability to visualize anything ever. But if yall can see it, then that's fantastic. Otherwise, long scenes with dialogue. I struggle so bad with extended dialogue.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

Would stress me tf out lol. I think it's great. I've almost done it. But I don't trust google translate near enough and I don't personally know anyone who speaks fluent French. So we all just gonna have to use our imaginations when Lena walks through that parking garage.

Technically, Law and Order SVU, though it was never finished or posted anywhere. I needed Katie McGrath to come grab my inspiration by the throat, evidently.

Lie to Me. Without question. I put the most into it and I'm incredibly proud of it, even if I wanted to set it on fire most days. It's simultaneously the easiest and most difficult thing I've ever written and I hope I always love it this much.

Lowkey hate myself for getting obsessed with hkr and renheng. The amount of people who misunderstand lore or that the characters in question have an insane amount of MEMORY LOSS. Also, why are hoyo fans so obsessed with hating on queer ships and spreading bs about them, like bro chill it's just a game and we're all gay fuckers who like to see other gay fuckers in love. It's fiction, seriously who the fuck cares lmao.

Some of yall are just homophobes in disguise who hate any sort of gayness even when it's implied or just theorized. Also. Hsr is pretty dark when you think about it. At least, from the perspective of someone who only has general knowledge of g*nshin i*pact and just reads funeral man x foxy dude ao3 fics, I was not expecting the deaths of actual people. Like the xianzhou arc had probably the highest body count, with scenes of people literally taking their last breath and not just in the actual gaming part. It's gonna be a bit dark babes.

This goes for jingyuan too. Like i saw someone comment that they're upset he was sorta manipulative during the dragon arc thing. And um sure, but also bros an old ass general who also looks into the future with the divine something. But main point. GENERAL. Sorta his job babes. Mans not going to be some 1D soft uwuu boy. But he's also impartial where he can and perhaps shouldn't be. Tbh hoyo fans should be happy at how complex these characters are.

Sidenote. I find that I cannot stand watching people play games anymore. Like wdym you're talking over the damn cut scene that's significant and/or looking away. Bruh, this isn't a pure battle game, it's heavy on the story so where the fuck is your goddamn attention. Talking bs like oh idk what's going on but they don't read the dialogue, check out the databank/bookshelf, watch the short videos hoyo puts out, or even, just even FUCKING EXPLORE. Some ass I watched just walked straight past vital info, running their goddamn mouth and was then like, broo I'm so confused what's going on?!? Genuinely, if not for the story, then why are you playing? The combat is fun, sure, but it's not like the most riveting thing ever, so why do people not pay attention????

Seeing people talking about how fanon ruined MC for them in the tags of my asks is just really sad to me. Because they're absolutely right. Fanon MC is not even anywhere close to canon. The dynamic that people claim to love so much has become distorted and twisted so much that you can barely recognize it. I completely understand dreading MC episodes, not because of anything that will happen on screen, but because of how people will react off screen. The ways they will twist canon to suit their own image of what they think the ship is or should be, then berate others for "getting it wrong," but it isn't what they think at all. I totally understand and empathize with that.

Canon MC is great. Evillustrator made me fall in love with it. Fandom is 100% responsible for why that love died. It's 100% responsible for why I hardly ever share MC art or write MC stories. Because as someone who loves Ladrien and wants to create Ladrien content, I feel like I can't do both because when I've done so in the past, my comments get flooded with "Ladrien is so boring. Even when I've written MC in the past, if I write strictly platonic MC (what I prefer), someone inevitably asks when I'm going to make it romantic as if that's the standard expectation. For a side that "doesn't have to be pressured by feelings for each other" people sure do like making them have feelings for each other.

There is no way to filter which MC stans follow your content. I feel like if I post a lot of MC stuff or write MC fic that the ladrien hating shitheads will show up regardless of how obvious I make it that I like it and post about it. The only way I've found to keep them off this blog is just to not post MC and scream loudly about how great Ladrien is every week. And I think that's really sad. Because I have several ideas for stuff, but I genuinely dread going back to that and having my ladrien works flooded with people telling me they don't like it. ^ addition to above. I’ve written two scenes and I’m like should this be a 5+1???? I love 5+1 things! They were such a big thing for my golden otp and I still love them. I wish this format was more prevalent. Which means I should totally do it. But that means I need to write like four more kisses… let’s see if I manage this. It much be so over for CoAi if I do though. Well obvi in this verse kaishi is endgame. I just adore them

Update 2: I’m still missing fluff and just done with thinking too much about other people’s opinions. (Hi, I don’t know you and I don’t want to. Leave me alone. There’s a reason I’m not in any groups any more) I think False Memories is due for an update. But sometimes I think about what the actual verse should be and I’m like the fandom is not ready for it. Yall couldn’t handle my open relationship verse or currently the fake dating one. I’m just tired of feeling like I have to defend my queen which is why the pull to write other ships is so appealing right now. Even though I still to this day strictly read CoAi fics. Anyways, priorities if I get to it after irl stuff, midnights needs its regular scheduled update and maybe I’ll write False Memories, but really I should try for CoAi week *sigh Again if any of my other fandoms could make me obsessed with them again that would be swell. I would be way happier
