Rhysand has lost a lot during his life and has experienced and witnessed unimaginable horrors. These experiences, these memories, made him who he is. You had lived at that camp all your life. It’s where you were born, a fae male had visited and got your mother pregnant.

The camp deemed it impossible for a home to not have a man to lead it so you resides with Lord Devlon. You had a small room in the back of his house. You kept his residence clean with other females. You favorite time of the month has come-when the High Lord comes. That’s when the misogyny temporally stops.

This time one of the females was out sick at the war house so you were cleaning in it. You could barely hear what they were discussing but Devlon deemed it fine since “females can’t understand war tactics anyway.”

While cleaning you had heard the High Lord brought his High Lady to the meeting.

You were currently stacking bowls of stew onto a circle pan to carry out into the meeting room. As you entered you started distributing the bowls out starting with Devlon. You started to approach the High Lord. You kept your head up, not showing fear and obedience as the others in the camp.

You looked up into his eyes as you set the bowl down. You saw his eyes widen as he took you in. Feyre looked at him, feeling his emotions through the bond. “Rhys?”

“Not now Feyre” He had never called her that. He shut down the bond.

He watched the female who held her chin leave the room.

“Rhysand did you hear what I said?” Devlon asked across the table.

“Tell me who that female was.”

You sat down the dirty bucket of water and found a stool to sit. Feeling light headed and cuts all over from todays chores

Two other females sat near you trying to get a break. You hear someone coming from the left, one sniff told you it was a male.

Your heads snapped left down the corridor. The other females stood and lowered their heads. You stayed in your seat, head up looking at the High Lord as he approached. “What is your name?”

“You already know.” You replies shortly.

He lifts his hand to your jaw, moving your head back and forth, “Who did this?” He asked.

You refused to answer to a male.

“Who?” His eyes darkened.

“Just from cleaning, why do you want to know?”

He did not reply, but he moved his palms to your arms, healing them. He looked at him confused. “You are coming with me. Back to my place.”

“What?” You watched him start to move out the door.

“You heard me.” He grabbed your arm. “I’m taking you away from this.”

To you, you thought he was saving you.

Well, to some degree he was.

He lead you gently outside. Were you really getting out?

He stopped abruptly. Pulling you behind him. “Rhys- who is this?” The High Lady.

“I-this is-“ he sighed. “You wouldn’t understand. She is-“

“She’s what?” Feyre demanded.

Rhys held you closer behind him. “The cauldron was wrong.”

“W-what?” Feyres broken voice asked.

What was going on?

“The cauldron was wrong Feyre. She’s mine.” He immediately swooped you up into his arms. Lost in confusion, your unshielded mind was taken over by him as he put you to sleep. You didn’t hear the rest of the argument, but you awoke in a different bed.

Luckily, Yan! Azriel was able to slaughter all of the guards in time to rescue you before they hurt you too badly!

Yan! Azriel who can barely contain his fury when he sees that your lovely skin is bruised and bleeding, tears streaming down your cheeks as you tremble in fear.

Yan! Azriel who is quick to murmur sweet nothings and unshackle you, winnowing back to The House of Wind to patch you up.

Yan! Azriel who is gentle as he cleans and dresses your wounds, shakily pressing kisses to each.

Yan! Azriel who explains that he keeps tabs on all of the Inner Circle (except for Rhysand) when you ask. It's a safety precaution. He's lying.

Yan! Azriel who takes a deep breath and admits that the two of you are mates, watching as your eyes light up and your lips part with delighted shock.

Yan! Azriel who is shocked that you seem so excited and that you take being his mate so well. It just makes him love and appreciate you more!

Yan! Azriel who goes off on his own to build a cozy home for the two of you with his own two hands, creeping you out surprising you with it when you say you wanted a home of your own one day.

Yan! Azriel who, after the Mating Ceremony, slowly becomes more possessive and controlling in subtle ways. He just wants to keep you safe! Can't you see that?

So how do things start?

Since we are talking about sentient characters in a game (*sobs* why??!) it begins with you in front of a phone and him behind it's screen

Lilia was already not only on cloud nine but on cloud ten when he felt your presence for the first time

So he couldn't just stand around and do nothing

And thus the road of “kidnap- *ahem* making-the-higher-being-looking-down-on-you-visit-you” began

But of course this takes time

So he prepares

In true fae fashion he also prepares gifts

You can't tell me he isn't swimming in money, he was a general after all

So, you will still get mountains of gold and other riches

And then, he doesn't even need to do that so that you would descend

No, suddenly you are there

Lilia knows that he can't just jump on you with mountains of gold and other presents

So he starts slow

Telling you more about himself, finding out what you like

You know, the stuff that is still normal

But then... yeah good luck after that stage

He will slowly bind you to him

Oh you want to go grocery shopping? Not without him!

You don't need to be friends with anybody, right? You got him! Right?

Before you know it you are suddenly wedded to a fae, have an adopted son and live in a place in which its inhabitants see you as a God

But then why does everyone with only Lilia excluded so far away? Why do you feel like a prisoner?

Well for starters, there is probably no one screaming louder about you than him

The young half-fae grew up in the Valley of thorns which is a red flag by itself (in the self-aware au)

So what would an obsessed young person with absolutely zero shame about their subject of admiration do if they were separated from that person which they admired by worlds?

You are completely right! He goes bananas

His training with Silver becomes very fast very aggressive

And he can't prepare some gifts either because he isn't exactly what we would call rich

So he hones his sword skills

Because of that he actually strains his body too much which leads to many futile lectures from Lilias side

And then goodness, you finally appear

I seriously don't know when he would have stopped to push his limits

There is no “soft start” with Sebek, there is only full-blown attention

For outsiders it might look like you two are just really close

But no, he is just “protecting you”

Ah yes, his dream of guarding the Overseer, how nice

Only that his interpretation of “nice” is “overbearing” and ”pushy” for you

But you have to admit that him being able to be so attentive is kind of impressive

Too bad that this is rather negatively used

And then suddenly you can't even leave for school

The worst about this is that because of the limited contact you have with people you start to believe what he tells you

Sebek knows how to take care of people even though he doesn't seem like it

So even though you are literally imprisoned you are still living a rather good lifestyle

Silver might have problems differentiating between this being reality or a dream

But let's start from the beginning, ok?

Silver grew up in a household which is highly religious

Aka he is dead set on you being an almighty God

This admiration grows over time and before you know it you have someone who would she'd blood to be close to you

Silver had prepared for you even before you had started to look down upon him (in other words: before you installed TWST)

Training day after day after day under the kind yet strict gaze of his father who could be surprisingly serious as soon as the subject was you

He also doesn't own a lot of things but, like Sebek, but he does everything to be the perfect guard and servant

And then you descend

Oh how lucky he is! To experience this!

He thought that this would happen on a distant day in the future when he would be long gone

Unlike most he won't imprison you

Oh no, he will make you dependant on him

But anyway, he helps you out since the start, becomes a important part of your life and makes you feel like you can't live in this world without him

The worst thing about this is you not even being able to point your finger at him

So the process of your relationship might seem normal but in truth it's you just feeling completely helpless

You didn't mean to take it, if you only knew that touching that flower would have you kidnapped and taken away from your home, away from the things you know, away from your mother, away from warmth that you wouldn't even go near it.

Yet it seems you did not understand that, unfortunately. “I do not. Return me back, for many would be looking for me right now.” You told him again looking at him straight in the eyes, his dark circle contrasted greatly with his pale skin tone as if it was centuries ago since he last slept.

“You have accepted my courting gift for that you will stay here.” It was an order, a demand from someone greater to a lesser being. His voice was harsh, making you flinch but you didn't back away still angry.

“I would rather die.”

“That would only do the opposite of what you wish to achieve.” He wasn't smiling at all, as his hand slowly moved from your cheek to your neck. Softly he held it, mostly lovingly yet all you could feel was fear as you looked at his eyes, so close to obsession and madness. So close to anger that told you to watch yourself that one miss step would lead you to nothing but pain and torture.

Soon that same hand left your neck playing with your hair he let you go taking a step back and giving you space, away from the cold feeling of dread. “Eat. You must eat so that you would not starve.” Moving he took a bow of fruit that was left in your room to eat, moving it towards you.

The fear and coldness of the room brought goosebumps to your skin as you took a step back holding your neck. You glanced at the fruits yet instead of looking at him like you once did you looked away to the ground “I will only eat the fruits and vegetables that belonged to the land.”

For you knew that one bite would trap you here forever.

Many have already warned you about this abyss, the land of the dead. For the moment you ate a fruit that belongs to the underground you will be trapped in this cold unforgiving place.

“You will only suffer if you continue to act this way.” looking back at him you saw his hair red like the blood when you saw a child once poke their finger from a rose thorn bush in hopes to make a present for their mother in the past.

“Return me back to my home…” You told him again, your voice was a bit more mellow this time lacking the once fire and anger that you had when he brought you here.

“I cannot, for you belonged to me.” He told you again, and your heart could only turn cold as corpses when he continued “The moment that you leave me I will destroy the land and bring only desserts and sand. Your home will become barren and empty compared to the land that you once lived in. Only sand and dust would greet you.”

“Don't you dare…” Anger soon came back from his words, hatred seeped into your words daring him to do so, yet he was not fazed by it, heartless and uncaring. 

“For my love towards you, the people you care and love would not be safe should you ever leave me.” He dared you to leave, he dared you to leave his hands and arms from this unforgiving place, “and for those who try to take you away from my grasp they will suffer internally without rest.”

It felt like the world had stopped after hearing that, as you have become increasingly scared of the man who ruled over cold death.

“Don't…” was all you could say as the power in your legs gave out and you fall to the floor.

“Then eat, for you are hungry and in need of something to satisfy your hunger.” He glared at you, placing the fruit bowl on the table, leaving it there as he walks towards the only exit in this room “After you eat you will become mine and mine alone and together we will rule over the land of the dead and I will not be alone for now I will have you by my side.”

You cannot hear the sound of the door shut closed, locking you in this room alone.

They won't share. That simple. There is no way Tamlin and Rhysand would agree to share a darling, let alone a mate. Tamlin is extremely jealous and Rhysand is possessive as hell. Add the fact that their darling is their mate makes it even worse.

Once one realized the other's interest all hell would break loose. It would all really depend on who discovered it first, but at the end of the day, nothing else would matter. Not even you.

Tamlin is the least emotionally unbalanced and this makes him very volatile and dangerous when his temper gets out of control. He is explosive and although he will never knowingly hurt his darling, you still have to walk on eggshells around him. Especially when Tamlin is jealous or furious.

Rhysand is the most rational one in the situation, or at least he tries to be the most rational one, even though he is seething with hatred inside. Rhys might be willing to share his darling with others, but never with Tamlin, his second worst enemy.

A huge fight would begin and if the situation between the two Courts was already bad before, it would become even worse and more volatile. Tamlin wants you at any cost and so does Rhysand, and neither is willing to share.

You would just be a toy caught in a tug of war. They detested each other deeply and their resentment grew more because of you and you would be nothing less than a pawn in a game that has lasted centuries.

They would still try to care about your needs and what you want, but they will both be so blinded by their hatred and possessiveness that you won't be as important. Not when they desperately wanted to destroy themselves.

The only situation I can see them coming to some kind of agreement would be if something happened to you, like if you were a human and almost died or suffered a terrible injury. It would be the only case where Tam and Rhys would work together for you.

Tamlin wants you desperately, he's already so alone and he needs comfort, love and reassurance. He wants to be loved so desperately and his obsession with you has become so unbearable that he can't sleep properly if he doesn't know that you're okay and with him.

Rhysand wants to be loved and have a loving family above all else, he wants this with all his might. He needs you, he needs to smell you and hear you tell him that he loves him. He needs to know that you love him, that he is the only one for you, and that no matter what, you will always choose him.

They will always fight over you, they will never reach a consensus and you are likely to end up broken and none of them will take the blame, as they will be too focused on destroying themselves than on what you need. Rhysand has tried to pay more attention to you, but at the end of the day, it's really about his personal war with Tamlin.

However, at any sign of threat to your life, they will put aside this feud and focus only on you. Even if it doesn't seem like it, they care about you and love you, in a twisted and strange way, but they do and they want to take care of you. Tamlin, especially, due to the fact that he is overprotective.

Rhysand and Tamlin will never come to an agreement, but maybe, as time goes on, they can learn to share you. There will always be bad blood and fights, but perhaps they will realize that the best way to protect you is to come together. Two High Lords can do very well protecting their mate, even if they hate each other deeply.

But once he cooled off his mind and found out how much it scarred you, he promised to not do it again.

It’s something he feels guilty about until now, to which you can find him apologizing to you every night when he thinks you’re sound asleep.

lucien as a worshipper yan is infinitely worse, but on the exact opposite of the spectrum. in the original hcs he was more violent, but as a worshipper yan, he treats you like you hung the stars in the sky.

worshipper yan! lucien will completely disregard the cauldron as the religion he follows and instead will place you on that pedestal.

worshipper yan! lucien will do anything and everything for you. he lives for your praise and recognition and will do absolutely anything to receive it. if you told him to lick the soles of your shoes in public, he would.

worshipper yan! lucien is still a pervert. he still steals your undergarments and still uses them to get off, but he cares a lot less about getting caught. if anything, he would get hard when you’re visibly angry with him and calling him all sorts of names.

worshipper yan! lucien looooves to monopolize your time. while he might not be violent with you, he has no problem eradicating anyone who gets in his way. that includes his mate. luicen will outright reject her and refuse to make contact with her every again. he only has room in his heart for you.

worshipper yan! lucien dotes on you. absolutely spoils you. he only gets you the finest things— jewelry, clothes, soaps, spices, foods, anything you enjoy will be the best of the best. his treasure deserves it after all :))

as time goes on, he grows more bold. instead of stealing your undergarments, anything you ask him for, he will demand some form of intimacy in return. it starts off with kisses, then makeout session, and so on.

worshipper yan! lucien will still throw you in the cauldron to make you high fae and to create a mate bond, but he would actually be crying while he does it. its subtle, but you can see it in the way his bottom lip quivers and the way his eyes squint and become glassy. lucien grips the cauldron while he waits for you to be spit back out. he doesn’t leave your side at all.

while he might not seem so bad, he absolutely will not let you do anything yourself. he dresses you, speaking to you like you don’t have autonomy and a mind of your own to choose what you want to wear. he bathes you and tucks you into bed at night, and absolutely refuses to let you go anywhere that he isnt.

worshipper yan! lucien also had a bad habit of dumbing the simplest of things down. he only wants to show off and receive your praise, but if you know what hes talking about, it never fails to piss you off.

worshipper yan! lucien also never stops talking. he’s pathetic in a way that gives you secondhand embarrassment. does he have no shame? it actually kind of sad.

all in all, he’s embarrassing, violent towards everyone but you, and has absolutely no shame.

One idea how to deal with El's lifespan is to make up lore. In my own fics, there's a special potion given to humans in those sorts of situations that transforms them into a fae and is forbidden outside of that context or in the case of changelings. There are plenty of folk tales about that sort of thing. Same goes for similar tropes happening in things like A Court of Thorns and Roses where, spoiler alert, Feyre is turned into a fae at the end.

These are facts, however! Once again, El would not be comfortable with having a non-human lifespan.

With the new lore revealed, forcing El to become fae would not only destroy her mentally, but would also destroy the “love” she has for Malleus- which, as we learned, is actually really important for dragon fae. Malleus, however Yandere he is, would not dare risk destroying that love. He would want to build on it, not demolish it.

At most, Malleus would prolong her life span by a few decades so she could watch their children grow, but would not make her fae.

He loves her, and will still love her even after she is gone, but that love will live on through their children- ensuring that Malleus will never be alone. Their love shall remain true, tragic and short though it is. But that is the price for loving a human, and especially one as stubborn as she.

(Because you just KNOW Malleus would try and convince her but she would refuse the fae transformation every time. She was born human and will die human, because it is the human she is that he fell for.)

Worst case scenario, and a hilarious one, El just reincarnates again. But as a fae this time.

Oh, yeah. Really the only downside to writing fics is when a character is vastly diff from you. Now I have to teach myself all these things that they would be knowledgeable in. A Court of Thorns and Roses? I’ve seen that title floating around. There is an artist I follow who mentioned it before but I don’t really know anything about it. Oh, I’ve read the Giver and the other books in the series. I had a friend who owned the books so I read them. I don’t really remember what happens in them since it’s been so long. The book is called Queer Transfigurations: Boys Love Media in Asia by James Welker. What I like about the book is that they have more than one voice (21 contributors specializing in different fields) to analyze the subject material. Tho I’m not sure how popular the book is so I don’t know if it’ll be in bookstores

XD Yeah! That's it basically! It's why I stress so much over writing Vash. Man's got like, 100+ years of knowledge in there and a lot of details are not shared about Gunsmoke/No Man's Land. And them androids gotta have books and books of knowledge up in there. Those of the RK line can pre-generate outcomes and choose the best suited one, and oh boy, I'm gonna have to put way more effort and thought into their actions than any other character I think I've written so far, and I already have to do this with a few characters I'm writing fics for currently that take a lot of brain power. There's a fic I wanna write for a fandom I have not posted for yet, and I just… Worry that I won't be able to properly capture the character in question because he's just so different from me and in canon, he's kinda like Vash in that he puts up a front and I honestly… Can't tell what's an act and what's not. He's very eccentric and I… XD Fear I won't be able to capture it, or how he really feels inside. I really wanna write it though. At some point, but probably not any time soon. My thought process was basically: "Oh shit. They'd make the best yanderes. 👀"

I've started to get back into it now, but… Yeah. !! I thought there were more books beyond it! I'll have to look out for them in the future, see if the store I buy books at get them eventually. Surprised me to see it on the shelf, you know? It's an older book, and quite a few go out of print after a while, leaving me looking on places like Amazon for used copies. I honestly don't remember much of the series either, I'll be honest, just that it's about a boy and a baby his family is taking care of? I just remember it was really dark and the first book left on a cliffhanger. :0 Oh wow! 21! That's amazing! I don't know either. :/ I don't think I've seen it where I live, but I'll keep an eye out!

Yeah, Spanish! :D You too?!? Awesome! X'D Oh gosh! My Spanish has gotten super rusty! I've forgotten a lot. It's only the kinds of things you'd learn taking it for two years in high school, simple stuff like hotel and restaurant questions, how to introduce yourself, say your age and the days of the week, food names, emotions, feelings, creating simple sentences,… I let myself fall off if I'm honest mostly because I really had no opportunity to actually use it in my daily life beyond actively trying and going out of my way and/or going into online Spanish spaces as I don't know many Spanish speakers around here.
