When he sees you, he ignores the lifeless body he had killed and smiles as you're terrified but he just smiles at you "[name], do you like it?" You're too frightened to even move, but didn't this guy kill someone? Just run as fast as you can!

"Hey! [name]! Don't run away please!" Haruka would chase after you until you're cornered into an area "Please, just focus on me, me only, no one else." 

He doesn't care if you caught him, he just wants you to pay attention to him and that's exactly what you're doing "Please don't kill me..." You cried out but oh you're so silly Haruka would never kill you, he just wants you.

FUUTA KAJIYAMA

Fuuta would feel your presence as he then sees you "Shit! It's not what it looks like!" You feel Fuuta's hand grab your wrist aggressively and tightly not letting you go "Don't go, it's not what- I swear!" You try letting go but he just hugs you tightly in his arms, never letting go.

Fuuta got caught, too bad for him, maybe it's the time he considers his other plans "I only did it cause they were annoying as hell, I had to punish them!" Fuuta would try to make excuses but would ultimately fail as you still try to escape.

Fuuta would put a tape on your mouth and rope around your wrists, tying you up in an area so he can dispose the body and well, he's just gonna kidnap you, he doesn't want any trouble after all so after he's done he'll take you and leave.

Just a one-shot that I made.

speaking of milgram characters being mischaracterized, i really hate when people either stick new headcanons on characters that make them lose agency in their crime (making them appear more 'innocent') but also i hate when people try to just completely make shit up about a character because "what we've seen of this character isn't 'guilty' enough".

example 1: people inventing a specific bully/abuser for fuuta that forced him to cyberbully other people. his whole character revolves around group pressure and how much the will to impress your friends can harm others - making up a new character to effectively shove all this blame onto one person kind of ruins the message about that. no one person was at fault for fuuta's murder; that is his dilemma.

example 2: ...a LOT of kazui theories. examples i've seen include: him being a p*do, him being a sexual ab*ser, him being a misogynist, a creep, or a stalker. kazui's whole deal already is morally gray enough!! whether you forgive him or not for essentially faking his wife's dream life with their empty marriage is up to you, but so many of these theories are just made up to make him appear less forgivable (most of the time because of some pre-existing bias against him as a character). it's frankly baffling because most of these theories have no connection to canon, only really carrying over the 'forbidden desire' aspect.

example 3: mahiru plays both sides of this. some people insist that her boyfriend was abusive and she was just playing along, while others insist that she was a crazy stalker murderer who abducted her boyfriend and made him fall in love with her by force. one of these completely strips her of her agency as a character, the other makes her into a generic yandere character who is violent and cutesy for the sake of being violent and cutesy. these both look past mahiru as a person first and a girlfriend second. she grew up isolated from people she could get into a relationship with, according to societal norms, and jumped at the chance to get into a relationship. she didn't mistake kidnapping a person for love, she didn't immediately fall for a horrible person. it's a complicated situation she finds herself in, not her or her boyfriend are the villain.

it's extremely frustrating to discuss milgram with some people who do anything to make their favorite character appear as a perfect angel or completely put down other people's favorites for non-canon reasons. it's a project you can draw your own conclusions from, sure, but a writer is still writing milgram. it's not all up in the air and vague.

Now let's say someone hates on you, saying something about how you compose then Fuuta thinks it's only fair he gets revenge for you doxing the said person, I mean it's only fair he does it isn't it?

Fuuta also has the decency to bully people who hate on you, of course without you knowing and you would never suspect him after all he's so kind to you

Fuuta ironically told your house keeper to quit and said he will look after you, doing the house work and clean for you, does he know how? To decent level yes

Fuuta can get jealous of your teammates especially if your attention goes only towards them, will he hurt them? No it will break you too much... Will he hurt their family members? By doxing and cyberbulling them yes, he knows how to play this game right

Fuuta is also possessive outside, if he sees someone making fun of you, well he certainly doxing them to the max he can bullying everyone they know until they fall

Fuuta sees you as someone weak he has to protect, going far to dox someone no matter their age, though he is careful you won't know

MIKOTO KAYANO VER.

Mikoto is good at breaking and entering, quietly sneaking his way through your house as he sits on the foot of your bed, tying your slim wrists with rope before covering your mouth with a towel laced with Rohypnol.

“Shh, you're safe with me.. no one is gonna hurt you again, I promise..” He’d whisper sweet nothings into your ears before carefully placing you in the trunk of his car, examining your sleeping face as he did.

You’d wake up in his basement, a blindfold over your eyes and gag in your mouth as you laid on a bed he had specially picked out just for you, your hands and ankles bound at the foot and head of the bear as you struggled, the rope starting to burn your skin.

“Don't struggle bunny, it won't hurt if you stop moving~” He’d chuckle, running his fingers up and down your sides and stomach, carefully removing the blind from your face, a smile covering his face as he watched you.

“There's my little bunny~ Now, if I take the gag off you have to promise me you won't scream. Nod if you understand okay?” You’d nod, feeling his hands carefully wrap around the back of your head pulling it off, your mouth felt dry, hoarse and cold, you could barely see straight.

“That's a good bunny~ Let me loosen these..” He'd whisper into your ear, straddling you as he undid the ropes on your wrists, pulling the rope off little by little, careful not to burn or bruise your precious skin. “You're burned.. I told you not to struggle, bunny.”

He’d grip your wrists tightly, peppering kisses to the rope, burning parts of your skin softly, rubbing them carefully to rid you of the pain. “You’re going to stay here with me whether you like it or not.”

FUUTA KAJIYAMA VER.

You’d gone to College with him, for the whole 4 years you had been his roommate, once you graduated you'd lost contact.

Yet there you were, your feet and hands bound by zip ties, your head on someone's lap as something stroked your hair.

You’d wake up in Fuuta’s arms, his fingers playing with your hair, unable to speak. “Oh, you're awake princess! He’d smile, playing with the zip tie he had around your neck, using it to pull your face closer to his.

“Finally princess~ You left me all alone! For a moment I thought you wouldn't wake up!” He’d giggle, pushing you down onto the bed and hugging you with all his might.

The smell of rubbing alcohol and energy drinks filled your nose, he’d sigh, taking a few more zip ties and tying you to the bed with them.

“Now princess, you're going to stay here with me for the rest of forever,” He’d start, hugging you again before pulling out a small pocket knife, “But if you try to leave me I’ll have to hurt you! I don't wanna do that!~”

He’d cut your neck a little, licking and kissing the blood on your neck before covering it with a tissue. “You're mine now princess, don't make this harder than it has to be.”

6. i think mahiru is on an even level of relatability with kazui when it comes to the prisoners 🤔 i want to say that we’re alike personality-wise (i’ve become kind of reclusive so idk if that’s the case anymore but i’m getting better 😭). i’d say i am a romantic at heart too, even if it’s not something i want right now. we are also around the same height (i’m shorter but i still picture her as itty bitty) and i wear a bracelet with her name on it. there is a lot

Handling Haruka Sakurai was easier to deal with than others.

He’s timid and quiet, but it’s a wall on his personality that’s easy to break. Unlike Fuuta who converts panic into anger, making it difficult to talk to him without the guy lashing out. He’s also not as troublesome as Shidou, who holds way more medical knowledge than you do, rendering your usual methods of prying in a patient’s psyche useless, or Kazui–Whose guard is always up and tend to lie about personal important things. Most of all, he’s definitely not like Mikoto whose mental issues seems to be a lot more severe than others.

Haruka’s only major issue is that he showed signs of being neglected as a child, therefore explains his behavior of constantly wanting to be the center of someone’s attention. His personality of being shy and quiet at first glance though, tells you that he himself is aware of this and is quite frankly, embarrassed by it…Or perhaps it was simply fear? Being aware that he latches onto people so easily at the slightest bit of affection does give way for people to take advantage of him in the long run after all. God knows how much damage he’ll take once he’s introduced to the concept of emotional betrayal.

Although Haruka’s probably the easier ones to get along with, this tendency of his to get attached quickly does pose quite a problem to you as a therapist. It’s not very professional for your client to stand on intimate terms with you after all…Though, you can argue that it’s not taboo to say that you can make him think that way at least—So, you’ll do your best to do just that.

Honestly, you couldn’t help but to feel bad for him. Every prisoner in Milgram has their own issues as far as you can tell, but every movement this guy make is basically some sort of trauma response.

I WOULD NOT HAVE VOTED MHR GUILTY. i thnk its funny that people guiltied her in t1 because they suspected her of being a stalker or a "yandere". mahiru is just. very obsessed with her ideal of love to the point of toxicity. being deemed as a stalker or "yandere" for it mustve felt horrible. does mahiru have stalker-ish tendencies though? um. listen ok shes just a girl. i forgive her. god forbid women do anything

i love post guilty verdict mhr as much as i wish she wasnt guiltied in t1. i like that you can see how much we've affected her in a way thats quieter than amane/mikoto/fuuta. SHE'S quieter. she overapologises. she is a wilted flower. an extinguished sun that we put out. she still loves so much but we forced her to hide that away in quieter ways now- she still "loves" all the other prisoners but in a way that is so, so tired. we desecrated what she once was. WE did that. i think mahiru shouldve been allowed to do much more than just shout "WHY, WHY, WHY?" at es. i thnk she shouldve been allowed to murder the audience in cold blood for what we did to her. straight through the screen. she deserves to be so angry at us- and yet she isnt. because shes mahiru. and i love her so much and i want her to snap at the audience and get unfathomably mad so bad

"Which Milgram character is your favourite, and why?"

my top faves are mappi, yuno and amane! i really like characters who are like. basically very cute and sweet on the outside but have Something Wrong with them. and these three feel like a very refreshing take on this trope bc mahiru is like. she's not a yandere (even though i do love yanderes..), she's just such a loving person that she doesn't know when to stop and. and i can rely to that a lot 😔 and yuno isn't like, "secretly evil", she's just very cold and empty on the inside and that's all. amane is more similar to characters that i usually tend to like and i love how at the same time she's a very traumatized child, but also i do believe that she committed her murder for the sake of her faith and not.. idk.. self-defense?.. i also like haruka and muu but i also get second-hand embarrassment from them sometimes bc these mentally ill teenagers remind me of myself when i was a mentally ill teenager a bit too much /lh

honestly i really don't think i would get along with any of them irl 😭 i'd be too terrified.. i think it would most likely be haruka or muu bc long story short i had my experience with people who got a bit too attached to me. did not like that. but also bc i'd just see them as really annoying irl, i'm sorry..

for trial 1.. i think fuuta? fuuta's crime is something that personally. um. i don't wanna say disgusts me but it's an emotion close to that. sorry to all fuuta fans i really don't care much about him feeling sorry about it and possibly changing, he's a grown man and he should've known better.

for trial 2, im gonna say it. i do agree with haruka's verdict the most. i honestly hate the way fandom treats him as a cute little baby and a pure cinnamon roll and constantly goes "oh okay if you voted him guilty you just hate autistic people", there is something very wrong with haruka and his murder and him killing animals is something that is very. hm. how do i say this. makes me want to punch him or something. i don't care how supportive people say they are, treat him like a normal human being and accept his flaws and accept that he's a murderer just like the others and that his possible disability can explain his actions but doesn't excuse them.

for trial 1. yeah i think muu should've been voted guilty back then tbh. sure maybe after pain does look sad and make her look like a victim out of context but then you listen to her vd and you're like. the red flags were always there 😭😭 this is not me denying that she was bullied, she definitely was, but it doesn't mean that i can still forgive her that easily AND i say that as someone who was horribly bullied for a huge part of my life.

for trial 2. i look around. i make sure nobody can hear me. i say kazui and refuse to elaborate and leave.

SHSJSKSKKS listen i don't care about kazui. like. at all. he's not my type of character sorry. but i think i'd be more interested in him if the fandom wasn't so focused on his sexuality and ignored other parts of his character. honestly i don't even know if there are any other parts of his character anymore. but i still can't forgive him for what he's done tbh. BEFORE ANYONE SAYS ANYTHING most people are extremely homophobic and transphobic where i live, so i understand his situation perfectly (IF most theories about him really are true), but something about him just. i cannot trust this man. i feel too sorry for hinako honestly. i can talk about this more but i won't because he's this fandom's beloved old man so i'll shut up.

fuuta: again, he deserved the t1 guilty and i did vote him inno during the second trial because i felt sorry for him, but i wouldn't be surprised if he did something that changed my opinion and made me vote him guilty during the third trial.

shidou: i am so sorry i don't care about milgram guys at all, haruka is like the only exception 😭 i guess his verdicts are. fine? i did vote him inno during the second trial though i'd probably vote him guilty if i got into milgram earlier. just like with fuuta, i will not hesitate to vote him guilty in the future if something happens.

amane: milgram fandom hates children especially traumatized ones that's all im gonna say. yes i can be a bit mean to haruka and muu, but amane is a huge comfort character to me and her experiences are very similar to my own, so seeing the fandom prioritize characters like shidou over A LITERAL CHILD is. hm. hey guys are you normal about children with religious trauma. oh also forgot to add, children with religious trauma who don't act like perfect victims and who can snap and act out and who refuse to accept that they were abused? i'm happy that she finally got an inno verdict (I WAS FIGHTING FOR HER ALMOST FOR THE ENTIRETY OF HER TRIAL..) but i do wish the percentage was bigger. it makes me sad every time i see it.

Shidou implied Mahiru's mental state was worse than Fuuta by purposely mentioning hers but not Fuuta's in his vd and we've already seen how wrecked Fuuta is in his voice drama. Is there any theories you have about what might happen, or are you just waiting to see what will go down?

this is another thing where i mostly have a boring answer. each of the second trial voice dramas are an extension of the initial voice lines we've seen and outright lay down the moral dilemma of the characters. for yuno this was that she knew exactly what she was doing and for fuuta this was the "you're doing the exact thing as me."

with mahiru it's laid pretty thick how she doesn't want to live anymore as a result of her love being denied. she loves everyone but if her love is something unforgivable then she doesn't want to anymore. the hand milgram seems to be playing is how much they can get away with guilt tripping us. hell, my first post on this account was how much agony mahiru is in! i expect a lengthy diatribe about how she doesn't even know what she did wrong and was almost killed for it.

i do think either yuno, kazui, shidou, and kotoko will be mentioned somewhere in her vd since they're the most important people to her as of now. yuno provided her the wheelchair, kazui broke her promise of protecting her (and his trial is coming up after so it's a good opportunity to build expectations for him), shidou saved her life, and kotoko tried to end it. in her initial voice line she mentioned that she forgives kotoko so she might try to inno-plead her?

honestly my selfish desire from the vd is simply any additional confirmation on her boyfriend and the status of her relationship. if she can beat the yandere/stalking allegations for good ill be jumping for joy.
