What’s something you have learned this year?
I’ll go first,
I learned that Allah will truly exceed your expectations when it’s His time to give. It’s not a myth or something that happens only for the prophets. It was something I had always known but this year, I experienced it and subhanallah every ounce of patience is worth the reward. Every pain for it, is worth it. Allahu Akbar.
Even when you feel you don’t deserve it, Allah still gives beyond what you thought you would receive, and his rahmah (mercy) will make you cry out of shukr (thankfulness) and love for Him.
So stay patient with a beautiful patience and expect only the best from your merciful Rabb, Al-Wadud 🤍 & He will give the best for you.
May Allah عز وجل exceed our expectations and grant us the best of blessings in the akhirah, ameen.
Okay, now your turn!

This is sort of a request but I was thinking about Beau and Ally and wondering if they ever came close to calling it quits. I know after Syria things were tough but they pulled through. But it made me curious…would it have been a mission or case that almost pulled them apart? I don’t see it being another person simply because of how devoted they are to each other but work could definitely be “the other person”

Featuring JAG's Harmon Rabb
Tumblr media
When you break up with Beau, he’s four months into a deployment in Osaka and you’re in a JAG posting in Washington.  It’s his second deployment in as many years.
“I’m sorry, I’ve met someone else.” You tell him over the phone and his heart shatters into a thousand pieces. You refuse to tell him who but he has a couple of guesses.
You won’t pick up the phone to him after that and you don’t return his messages. For two months it’s radio silence.
When he returns home to San Diego he considers catching a flight out to Washington, to confront you, to try to change your mind but what’s the point? You’ve made it very clear it’s not him you want.
He’s been home less than three hours when your supervisor Lieutenant Colonel Commander Harmon Rabb turns up at his door. He’s dressed in civvies with a black leather jacket slung over his broad shoulders. Beau wants nothing more than to punch the smug son of a bitch in the face.
“My money was on Brumby.” He tells the other man, the muscle in his jaw twitching. “I never thought she’d leave me for you.”
“She didn’t leave you for anybody else.” Rabb tells him, tucking his hands into the pockets of his jacket. “She left you because she’s being court martialled.”
The news hits Beau like a brick because he can’t imagine what charges you could be facing. You’re diligent in your work, you obey orders, you have a calm and even temperament. He can’t imagine you ever crossing a line. The words that are coming out of Rabb’s mouth, they just don’t make sense.
He pulls open the door and tips his head towards the interior of the apartment indicating for Rabb to enter.
“I think you best come in.”
***
The story Rabb tells, it isn’t a pretty one, it make Beau’s blood boil as it unfolds over a couple of bottles of beer.
The charges are assault on a superior officer.
You’re looking at up to ten years confinement, a deduction in pay and a dishonourable discharge for punching General Micheal Klein in the face.
He suddenly understands why you broke things off with him. Beau’s on the promotional track, he’s on his way to becoming a Captain. His affiliation with you could derail that completely. This way he’s safe, his career untainted by what you’ve done.
“She gave him a broken nose.” Rabb tells him as he takes a sip from his beer. “The problem is she won’t tell me what happened. All I’ve got are witnesses statements, she’s refusing to tell us her version of events. It’s like she’s completely shut down.”
“What do the witnesses statements say?” Beau asks, dreading the other man’s answer.
“Torn blouse, broken buttons.” Rabb says quietly.
There’s a fury in Beau, it’s a vengeful beast that rises up inside of him as he thinks of the circumstances that have led to this. He can’t imagine how frightened you must have felt, how terrified you must feel now.
“I suspect the General decided to get her before she got him.” Rabb tells Beau, his thumb picking at the label on the beer bottle. “He says she came onto him, got angry when he rejected her.”
“And what do you believe?” Beau asks the other man, his voice  barely more than a rasp.
“I think he attacked her.” Rabb tells him, his eyes reflecting the same quiet fury that simmers inside Beau’s chest. “And I think that she defended herself.”
“Can you prove it?” Beau asks him and Rabb shakes his head.
“Not without her statement and like I said, she won’t talk about it. I’ve tried everything I can think of but…”
He trails off and Beau looks away because psychologically he understands what you’re doing, why you’re doing it.
“Her father…” He says, feeling the emotion raise up in his throat. “His father used to hurt her, the response she’s having it’s trauma based. It must take her back…”
He can’t bear to say anything else. His heart is breaking all over again, for you, for what you’ve endured, both now and back then.
“I need you to come back to Washington with me.” Rabb says quietly. “I know what this could do to your career, your life…”
“It doesn’t matter.” Beau says, his voice raw as he rubs the back of his hand across his eyes. “Without Ally, none of it matters.”

Everyday is a new day, every month is a new start, and every year is a new beginning.
To start off those new beginnings, let us do our best to better ourselves by incorporating/increasing healthy habits into our daily lives.
Instead of thinking about the millions things you want to accomplish, achieve, or start.....think about the things you can do at your own pace! at your own limits and adding new habits!
Since 2025 will be soon, lets begin to add these habits in our daily lives!
𝘏𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘵𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘢𝘥𝘥 𝘪𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘥𝘢𝘪𝘭𝘺 𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘩:
Consistency in time management for Salah
Add Sunnah Namaz
Read Quran daily (To start with consistency, start with reciting ten verses---then a page---and so on.)
Decrease in foul language
Increase in the remembrance of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala
Memorize repentance surah/dua to recite anytime and anywhere
Increase in repentance
Cleanse your soul (Whether its distancing yourself from negative people, content, hobbies...etc.)
Speak and think kindly of yourself!
Of course there are times where we fall and our deen falters. That is why we should always ask our Rabb to make it easy for us and to of course do our best in our part.
𝑫𝒖𝒂 𝒕𝒐 𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒅𝒆𝒆𝒏 Ya Muqallibal-qulub, thabbit qalbee a'laa deenik "O Changer of the hearts, make my heart steadfast in Your religion"

On the same day that former president Donald Trump said vice president Kamala Harris “happened to turn Black,” Harris was at a Black sorority conference in Texas.
“As a proud member of the Divine 9, when I look out at everyone here, I see family,” said Harris, speaking on July 31 at Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority’s 60th Biennial Boule in Houston, Texas. Sound bites from Harris’ speech and high-pitched “EE-yips,” the call associated with Sigma Gamma Rho, echoed through countless videos that circulated on Instagram.
The Divine 9, or D9, refers to the nine historically African American sororities and fraternities that make up the National Pan-Hellenic Council. Harris is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority—the first African American sorority. Alpha Kappa Alpha was founded at Harris’ alma mater, Howard University, in 1908.
"Generation after generation, the members of this sorority have shown that greater service brings greater progress,” Harris continued. “And in 2020, you continued your leadership when, during the height of a pandemic, you helped elect Joe Biden president of the United States and me as the first woman vice president of the United States.”
This appearance wasn’t a coincidence. Across the United States, members of Divine 9 organizations are uniting around a singular mission: increasing voter turnout in the US election this year. From sharing videos like the Harris event to posting voter registration links on their large Instagram accounts and developing voter turnout initiatives in secret group chats, members are using their Black Greek networks and social networks to bring more people to the polls.
While Divine 9 organizations do not officially endorse candidates, historically, Divine 9 organizations have made voter turnout and registration a pillar in their service initiatives, like with Alpha Phi Alpha’s “A Voteless People Is a Hopeless People” national program, Zeta Phi Beta’s “Get Engaged” initiative, and Alpha Kappa Alpha’s Social Justice initiative. Already, outreach on social media is working. One post of the Harris event from Watch the Yard, a leading social media platform for Black college culture and Greek life, racked up more than 122,000 plays.
Watch the Yard features original news stories on Black Greek life and HBCU college students across the country. The page shares Black Greek memes, like encouraging their Black Greek followers to tag their favorite non-members, but also call-to-action posts like reminding followers to get their vaccinations. And now, during the election season, the platform is turning its attention to voter turnout.
"We’re using the Divine 9 as the glue that connects Black students at HBCUs and [predominately white institutions], and using their network to disseminate information,” says Watch the Yard founder Jonathan Rabb, who added that because National Pan-Hellenic Council organizations are service-based, members and prospective members are already active within their own community. “There are very few networks in the United States like that for the African American community. Right under the Black church would probably be the D9.”
The Watch the Yard platform has 2 million followers, and Rabb says its content reaches around 13 million people per month. Because Divine 9 sorority and fraternity membership is encouraged to continue after college ends, Rabb also notes that their audience is intergenerational, with Gen-Zers and boomers actively engaging with each other in the comment sections. “We can reach students in swing states. We can reach a student in the Pacific Northwest. Because there’s D9 there. If I can reach that AKA in Oregon, I can reach her peers.”
On July 30, Watch the Yard announced its official partnership with Michelle Obama’s When We All Vote. Launched in 2018, the nonpartisan nonprofit seeks to help increase participation in every election. On Watch the Yard’s Instagram, followers can simply click the link in their bio to quickly see their registration status.
“As Black people fought for our rights to vote, the Divine 9 has been constantly connected to democracy and pushing people to vote,” says Rabb. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, the second oldest African American sorority, was at the helm of the suffrage movement as the group’s first public act of service in 1913, he notes. “When it comes to the election, this is just a continuation of the work [the Divine 9] has already been doing.”
Black Greek organizations are not only organizing online publicly but privately as well. WIRED confirmed that over 8,000 members of Alpha Kappa Alpha have created an unofficial secret GroupMe with the purpose of increasing voter turnout throughout their communities. The privacy of the group allows members to share information on key campaign platforms for both candidates, create strategic planning for voter registration in underserved communities, and share opinions on candidates without the pressure of maintaining official protocols.
While the Divine 9 as organizations are not authorized to support specific candidates, alumni from HBCUs like Howard University are campaigning. The Howard University Bison PAC, a project within the Collective PAC, a political action committee working to elect more Black officials for political equity, has brought together alumni to raise money for the Harris-Walz ticket.
Even though the PAC isn't associated with any D9 organization, many of the PAC members are also members of the D9. According to an internal email viewed by WIRED, the first “HU Bison For Kamala” Zoom call on July 25 hosted over 4,000 attendees and raised more than $151,000 for the Harris campaign. “Within the next two weeks,” the email reads, “we’ll start our Bison PAC phone/text messaging ‘zoom parties’ to encourage Black voters in swing states to support Kamala Harris for President.”
The email to PAC members also linked to a social media best practices guide crafted by Cameron Trimble, a Howard University alum and founder of the Hip-Politics platform. The guide is titled “Ways to Be Helpful in the Digital and Social Media Landscape” and includes tips such as sharing and engaging with only positive Kamala content, not engaging in negative comments and content to avoid spiking it in the algorithm, and creating your own WhatsApp or internal group chats to share verified information for quick responses.
“We want to raise as much money as we can for Kamala. We want to make sure all Bisons [Howard students and alumni] are registered to vote, and we want to equip people with factual information to disseminate in their communities,” says Stefanie Brown James, the cofounder and senior adviser of the Collective PAC. “Long term, we want to make Bison PAC a stand-alone organization to support other Howard alumni who are running for office across the country … We want to be involved in our political process, and want to make sure we have a role in choosing who our leaders are.”

I just love my brother so much 😭 Allahuma barik lahu He doesn't have much to offer but his devotion to our family and how he is always in service for any one of us and how he just would go out of his way to make sure we are comfortable and safe is so selfless and I pray Allah swt count all of these acts in his good deeds and make them a way to elevate his rank in Jannah ameen ya rabb. Tbh, he wasn't really like that before, sübhanallah he was the template of any north african spoiled selfish only male child whose mom spoiled rotten and raised him to believe he is entitled to everything. But noticing this huge transformation in his personality, his humbleness, his genuine care and worry for our family, and especially for me is making me fall deeper and deeper in gratitude for Allah swt who changed my brother's heart and created ways for him to gain extraordinary deeds, because as Prophet Muhammad ﷺ says "the best of you is the best to his family" - and even if this Hadith is often explained in talking about one's wife, I'd like to think of it in general terms of family in the case of my brother 😭 Allahuma barik lahu wa barik bihi wa barik fih, Allahuma grant him khayr in this duniya and the hereafter, mend his heart and solve his problems, in deed you are the Almighty, you are able to do all things. Ameen.
Tonight, I was at my friend's house which is on the other side of town, and I got sick, and it was pretty bad and I called him and said " I got sick come pick me up" and even though it was late, and he was super tired and about to sleep he drove across town to come get me, he drove me to night-shift pharmacy and then got me food, even though his eyes were closing at the end. And then he mistakenly used my pet-name to refer to his daughter in the middle of the conversation and my heart just exploded with love for him 🥹
I am literally nothing without my brother, reflecting back on the years and how we weren't that close in my teenage and early adult years and how we finally found our way back to each other after my marriage is so heartwarming. Sübhanallah, even in the most dysfunctional of the families, Allah swt will bless you with that one person that will be there for you, care for you, protect you and show you that you are loved. In deed, Allah is the most merciful. I don't know why I am writing this, I just found myself pouring my heart out. Maybe to send out a little hope for girls who are currently not having the best relationship with their older brothers, do not despair, Allah's mercy is endless, He swt can turn things around in a heartbeat. And maybe to encourage guys to be a little kinder to their families and especially their sisters. It makes a huge difference for your sister to know that you've got her back and that you're there for her. But probably I am fever-blogging lol.
Conclusion, I have the best of the brothers. Allahuma barik, la quwwata illa billah 🥹🤍

Ya Allah, allow this tired, sinful soul of mine to reach the opportunity of participating in Ramadan, year after year falling short of the goals I set for myself, forgive me my Lord. Allow for this Ramadan to be different for me and to really bask in all the opportunities to worship, and gain benefit. Allow us Muslims to come closer together and continue to reap the fruits of what we were able to achieve throughout this blessed month. Give us the full reward of Ramadan and Laylatul Qadr, write for us a beautiful story with an amazing ending and Jannatul Firdous please ya Rabb. Forgive us Ameen.

Assalamu alaykoum sister. I hope you are good alhamdulilah, i am a 20 year old sister. I did put my hijab in 2019 when iwas 15, i had a bad past but 2 years ago i came to the right path alhamdulilah. I have t4ouble overthinking about my past, if maybe some pics ( very sinful pics) got leaked or something. I repented to Allah subhana wa taala so much, i started praying again and reminding myself with my akhirah. But i overthink so so much that maybe something got leaked and 4 years later i may havent found and iam living here peacefully while i may have been gaining sins and maybe my parents find out. 2 years ago when i started my deen journey again i didnt even remember. This days i have cried a lot and i do remember quite a few details about what happened when i sinned and i dont quite remember if that person had screnshoted those pics or anything. I am so scared that my sins may come to light or its just my mind giving me a hard time while overthinking. I am fully making duaa and crying in my prayer mat and i wanna calm myself but i dont know how. Any tips or duaa so i can have a relief and ask Allah for forgiveness and to cover my sins if they have been leaked online? Howncan i improve? Jazakallahu khair ukhti.
Walaikum assalam my dear sister 🤍
Jazakallahu khair, I am good
I will also turn 20 this year🤝
Reading this, I remembered how my best friend went through this same thing earlier this year and how she used to be so low about it, her mind was occupied by the whisperings of shaytaan like yours is now,
But wallahi trust me when I tell you this that a person who returns to Allah with sins that reach up the sky but with a sincere heart, Allah swt accepts them and turns their sins into good deeds, just imagine Subhan Allah
You needs to know that ALLAH never abandons His friends nor does He ever let them get crushed by this duniya.
Just never stop asking for his forgiveness, yk there’s this word in arabic “Raja’a” that in English is translated as "hope" but the meaning of this word is - "to return" so being hopeful is to return to your Rabb. No matter what happens in this Duniya just make sure that your mind stays firm on the struggle for jannah and to never despair of His mercy.
We can’t forget what happened in the past but we can use it as a motivation to do better for our akhirah.
But we can’t waste our time overthinking about something that we don’t have any control over right, imagine this thing you are overthinking so much about, if you have truly repented from this, know that Allah swt has changed it into a good deed. How reassuring is that!
So don’t fall in the traps of shaytaan, He very well knows a person’s weaknesses and he triggers those emotions that can make a person fall into hopelessness and despair.

It’s nice sunny day and Admiral Tosh Nakamura is standing in the middle of the lot wearing a flightsuit and chaps (a g-suit).
Tumblr media
Hopefully it makes sense to somebody, because it sure as hell doesn’t to me. Having finished up their term of service in the United States Navy, he’s decided that he’s going to settle down here and earn some money in order to live comfortably for the rest of his existence. Considering the fact that he’s done his forty years of service, he pretty much can’t get called up again.
Evidently he won’t be alone either.
Tumblr media
Vice-Admiral Meg Austin, former Judge Advocate General is now retired after thirty years of naval service and she’s decided that she’s going to take some time and spend it with friends while she figures out what she’s going to do with the rest of her life. Does nobody figure this stuff out while they’re in the service?
Tumblr media
Accompanying her are Captain Kimber Benton with twenty years in (who is still subject to call-up), Lieutenant Colonel Sarah “Mac” Mackenzie, Captain Harmon Rabb Jr. Lieutenant Commander Jack Keeter and Commander Phil Burrows. Yes, it’s an odd-numbered situation, but well, Phil’s nuts. That pretty much explains everything he does.
Tumblr media
It should be fine as long as he’s not haranguing the commode. But one thing I still want to know is: Who the hell decided to let him in the cockpit of an F-14 Tomcat?
Tumblr media
The Watcher has given them pretty much nothing other than five apple trees and a lettuce plant. Yeah, that’s going to really help them out. And they’d better nurse that lettuce plant because if it gets eaten by deer, they’re not getting another one.
But thank goodness for the Navy and their pension. They will receive the equivalent of §2.5M each for their separation and they will receive §18,500 a month for the rest of their lives, which means §55,500 a season. That should be enough to get them started. But the only thing is that they can’t build their house without getting good at being handy around the house. Frankly gaining the handyman and inventing skills is the only way they can start building and the inventing work table. That means that for every wall section they create they have to have at least a Level 2 skill level and unfortunately it would have to be one section a day, no matter how much money they have. If they have mastered the handyman and inventing skills, then they will be able to complete a room in a week, which means that they will have to all work together at getting this done. Each of them will have to learn how to become handy and invent things. Nope, it’s not going to be easy. But where will they sleep? How will they eat? I guess they’re going to have to pick a spot on the ground...and if it rains, it’s going to be miserable. C’est la vie.
Tumblr media
ADM Nakamura: My back is going to hate me in the mornings.
Watcher: Looks like he finally got out of that flight gear. That's half your problem, Admiral, 50 pounds of flight gear on your torso's bound to make your back ache.
Tumblr media
CAPT Benton: What exactly did I get myself into?
Tumblr media
LCOL Mackenzie: I don’t know how I’m going to work this around, but I know Harm’s to blame for this.
Tumblr media
CAPT Rabb: I’m so dead.
Tumblr media
CDR Burrows: Oooh...I can go fishing, and biking and…
Tumblr media
LCDR Keeter: Oh, man, I stepped in it...now. This is not going to be comfortable even with Meg around.
Tumblr media
VADM Austin: Texans are supposed to be tough, but camping out in a temperate rainforest isn’t one of them. The temp is going to get down to 42 at night. This is going to be miserable.
Narrator: Should we give them sleeping bags?
NAAAAAAAAAAAH! 😝

NCIS’ predecessor will at last be available to stream in its entirety.
Prime Video will host all 10 seasons of JAG beginning Monday, July 1. Whereas current rights holder Paramount+ only has select episodes, a source tells TVLine that Amazon has licensed the rights to every episode of the Navy drama — so, barring any operational delays, all 227 installments will be available to binge ahead of Independence Day.
One-and-done for NBC, the military procedural first launched in 1995 and found a new home on CBS the following year, where it would run for nine more seasons and spawn NCIS, which itself has generated five spinoffs (including NCIS: New Orleans, NCIS: Los Angeles, NCIS: Hawai’i, NCIS: Sydney and the upcoming NCIS: Origins).
For the uninitiated: JAG followed judge advocates (aka uniformed lawyers) employed by the Department of the Navy’s Office of the Judge Advocate General. David James Elliot starred as Navy Captain Harmon Rabb Jr., while Catherine Bell, who joined the military procedural in Season 2, played Lieutenant Colonel Sarah “Mac” MacKenzie.
Fourteen years after JAG’s 2005 finale, Elliot and Bell reprised their roles as Harm and Mac for a three-episode arc on NCIS: L.A.
