So hi, hello, this is my first ever ask blog so don't mind if I seem like I don't know what I'm doing - because I don't.

What's 'Altogether Now Au'?

Altogether Now is my silly lil Rain World AU dedicated to putting these slugcats together like a DnD party and throwing them into scenarios. This blog decides to take place after the initial major story elements of the au for the purpose of having these scugs already in an established group.

This means the scugs have already met FP, LttM, and are currently deciding to just explore and live - seeing what happens. There are very certain story events that do not take place, or are altered, so feel free to send asks about the 'campaign' timeframe, the present 'explore and be a funky lil group' or even about the future of the scugs (just mention it in your ask please!)

Who's available to ask?

As of now, only the main slugcats (and one oc). In the future, other ocs might be available to ask, but I doubt I'll add the iterators themselves to be recipients. They can be drawn as an answer but you'd have to ask a slugcat.

Any plans for this blog?

At some point, I want to add my gijinka's of the characters into the mix, but to start off with I'm going to stick with the regular scugs!

It’s hard to tell, Anon, yes and no? We still haven’t watched the show in its entirety, but judging by the condition of my sketchbook, we’re probably to going to post these two at least a couple of times more lol i have like 30 sketches with them, I think...

The reason we aren’t diving into the show fully for now is that with the intensity of our immersion into things that we like (and considering just how much we adore the movie and just how much the ship suits our tastes) there was a risk that we might lose the twst “feel”, and we really didn’t want that – we’re still rewatching the main story and enjoying every second of it. We’ll see how things to be from here, but we’re probably going to try to balance things out a bit.

To answer your question: after we watch the show (which might happen pretty soon), there’s definitely going to be more art, because we honestly really love the cast and there are a lot of characters I’d like to draw.

You are allowed to ask questions related to the ship! But it might take some time for me to reply, because I wouldn’t want to talk about story-related things that I don’t have the full grasp of yet. So as long as you’re okay with waiting in case I feel like I can’t answer the question properly yet, feel free and ask away.

12. The unpopular character that you actually like and why more people should like them

You want me to talk more about Athis? Well yes, I shall oblige.

I have a hard time judging who is and isn't popular. I just like who I like and will write fanfiction around them LOL simple as that.

But Athis, the bean, does lack quite a bit of fanfiction in his tag and he needs more attention so I'll yell about him some more.

I like how you can ask him his story, even if it's...admittedly not much. AND then if you ask him to repeat himself he gets affronted and sarcastic really fast:

So it appears he's that kind of person who is barely wearing any clothing at all for no discernable practical reason. In fact is the opposite of practical if one were to consider the effectiveness of said armor and his specific skill set. So... no reason at all except to be barely wearing any clothing at all. And that does take a specific kind of person, doesn't it? LOL

(I mean I don't write him this bold, honestly because it's a little tiny bit annoying that most of the warriors in the Companions aren't very practical warriors in this manner. But it is a thing. It's a "trait" Bethesda gave him.)

And another tidbit!

You bring his butt with you over to Solstheim or on the Barenziah's crown quest and get too close to that side of the map near Morrowind? The boy gets antsy.

For art specifically!! Please more alchemy ingredients just tossed on a canvas. I love plants, love drawing them but I am not the kind of artist who produces work at a very fast rate and I would have a whole blog of just different depictions of Skyrim alchemy ingredients and plants if enough content existed. I love it so very much.

Fic? More friendship fics for sure. Not everything has to be shippy. (Aro brain taking the wheel again.) If it is gonna be somewhat about love, though, please definitely show me as much possible diversity in the different, nuanced types of love, romantic and otherwise or different iterations of romantic relationships. Knock me off my feet with the coolest possible aro pairing I've ever seen. ( :> ) Make me feel seen with your words, people. Make yourself feel seen in your work, because it's yours. It doesn't need to be a shippy fic if what calls to you is something more or something else.

That said, I am very fond of certain pairings and can be persuaded to like ships. BUT more nuance is always very, very needed and good.

18. it's absolutely criminal that the fandom has been sleeping on...

Oh. REBUILDING!!! I want fic where we're seeing things being fixed, and settlements recovering. I understand that the theme of the world is decay, really and the dragons are about to [redacted] up the entire situation. BUT. But. It doesn't make sense that things have stagnated for decades or centuries... there should have been some repair to Winterhold. There should have been some kind of changes made to the structure of cities in Vvardenfell, some rebuilding. I think the fandom could do some really cool redesigning and bring forward a ton of awesome OC backstories set in situations of rebuilding like this. I know some mods fix these things, but like...to really dig into what it means for people and why they may be in Skyrim due to these efforts or being displaced due to incorrect handling of said efforts and/or succumbing to more danger and disaster over the years? SO much to work with. I'll be touching on this with Athis things in future. (:

22. your favorite part of canon that everyone else ignores

But no there's a lot that can be ignored in canon. And another favorite is that Neloth was alive in Morrowind and is presumed to use and know all those cool spells you can craft.

He should know these things in Skyrim, too, but doesn't. Some silliness about the wiki infers some magic is Illegal but I think Neloth would not give a single shit if it was illegal or not.

So why do these spells no longer surface? (aside from game engine limitations?) Especially when Neloth fights?

I don't know if people ignore this in their fics but I sure don't. I do love my ✨Weird Magic Shit.✨ And crafting spells seems the weirdest and absolutely something that would be frequently and illicitly going on in Tel Mithryn if certain magic is illegal.

It existed and some characters were around when it was normal magic useage and are still around in Skyrim LOL so.... (: Yes. How much weirder magic shit used to be in older games. I feel it's ignored not purposefully...but because not everyone has played the older games. And that's okay too. But I remember and I will take canon and run wild with it.

And while I was writing it, my mind wandered on tangents, as it does, and one of the less helpful tangents was, "lmao, if the 2003 Tartakovsky Clone Wars was a popular Japanese anime with a sexier art style, there would be so much tentacle p*rn with Durge x Obi-Wan."

And it lead me to consider that hmm, I actually...don't think I've ever seen that ship before??? HMMMM....

And then this happened.

Hello, thank you for this ask, my opinion on the whole debate is actually more complex than what might be seen. Despite me being very much anti-proship (which I'll get to what that means later), I actually do not consider myself anti-fiction (though some proshippers may disagree with me and call me a "puriteen" or whatever).

Personally, I am in the opinion that the original meaning of dead dove and all that is something i can get behind. Before anyone calls me a proshipper, (I'm not and never will be), let me specify I said the *original* definition. This definition being "okay, there are some things that can be romanticized in fiction that shouldn't be romanticized ever in the real world." By this, I'm mainly meaning toxic relationships (I joke about toxic yuri, and it's because there are some ships that Are toxic i do genuinely enjoy, ie Voll), as well as some other kinks (that I won't get into because this is a safe for work blog that minors follow) that cannot be performed in real life. Fiction is a place to explore these things, and I am fully in support of using it as an outlet for the bizarre and weird.

My issue with proshipping is that, despite what many may claim, nowadays it really is just a fancy word for enjoying drawn csem. I don't care if it's "just fiction." Remember that thing i said earlier about how there are some things that can be romanticized in fiction? Well, children are not and never will be one of them. It is never okay, in ANY universe, to sexualize a child. I will stand by that firmly.

Other things i do not condone being romanticized in fiction is incest, or literal animals. Incest because it's a real thing that is traumatizing just like child abuse, and animals because, well, I hate zoophiles. "But Marven!" you may say. "You're a furry, doesn't your community have a good chunk who draw furry nsfw?" Well, to that I say there is a huge, huge difference between sexualizing an anthropomorphic walking talking consenting creature that is essentially just a human with fur, and a literal dog on four legs. If you can't see the difference between those two, that's your problem.

"But what about trauma? Shouldn't victims be able to express themselves through art?" Why, yes! of course. However, there is a difference between drawing vent art privately in closed circles and posting erotic material featuring children with the intent to arouse publicly. I am in full support of trauma survivors using any method to cope, but forming communities dedicated to drawing and getting off to images of children is not a way to cope. It's illegal! And normalizing terrible behavior, repeating a cycle of abuse.

So yeah, tldr; There are some things in fiction that can be romanticized that shouldn't be romanticized irl. There is some merit to a "Dead dove" label. However, if you do end up calling yourself a proshipper, just know that you will be grouping yourself with some very, very nasty people.

I hope I could be of some help, best of luck to you anon and I urge you, as someone who nearly fell down the proshipping pipeline, to please understand what kinds of people that community holds.

And trust me I will provide on Ashuta lore >:3 Here is The Food For Today. I didn't include art this time bc I have been eepy. I have ideas for long after this, but this is the general gist. I plan to eventually draw a lot (if not all) of this out. Here's her concept for her first appearance and mission (Chapters 14 to 20, or up to episode 7 in the anime):

So, after being found by Makima:

She is added to the team briefly after Denji and Power. I'm currently undecided at which point she should enter the story; I'm thinking about prior to Chapter 14.

Makima helps her find a place (up until this point, she's been homeless since becoming a vampire) near Aki's apartment, encouraging her to make friends. She suggests Denji could use a friend since he's similar to her (not fully human, rough background).

Ashuta believes that since she'll be on a team of devils and humans, she would be more likely to make friends since they should be more accepting, right? She shows up to the Hayakawa apartment with some food, trying to introduce herself as a new member of the team (and not disclosing herself as a vampire yet- Power can tell, but doesn't care enough to point it out).

Denji thinks at first she's friendly, but a bit too polite and wonders how someone like her got chosen by Makima. Power doesn't initially feel strongly about her either way, though she's delighted to meet Meowy.

Aki thinks she's polite (and finally someone easy for him to get along with on his squad), but questions why she became a devil hunter after a couple hours of them hanging out. She briefly explains that she's a vampire, and that her life was ruined by the Vampire Devil. Aki's tone quickly changes knowing she's not human, and the night is sort of abruptly ended.

CHAPTER 14:

She's integrated into the group with Chapter 14's mission in the hotel being her first (could be retconned later.)

She's a bit hurt with the talk of Aki and Arai not trusting "non-humans" and saying they don't have human rights, so she's quick to become very quiet since she assumed Makima's team of devils and humans meant she was more likely to be accepted.

Himeno can quickly tell that she looks upset and comes over to strike up a conversation, and the two make small talk throughout the mission. She tells her to not mind Aki, that he's just had bad experiences with devils. Ashuta protests that she's not a devil, but a devil makes an appearance before Himeno can respond.

Himeno discusses with Aki later in the mission that she's surprised Ashuta is so conscientious for a vampire- Aki shrugs and believes it's her being deceptive. Himeno goes to suggest he give Ashuta a chance.

CHAPTER 15:

Ashuta does bond a bit with Denji over the mission, both of them asking each other questions about their respective species ("So are you allergic to garlic?" and "Does it hurt when your chainsaws come out?")

CHAPTER 16:

In hopes of winning Aki's approval, Ashuta offers to help Aki hunt for the devil. She explains that since vampires don't really need to sleep much, she could help him all he wants.

Aki, unimpressed, asks why she's so hellbent on trying to please him when he doesn't care about wether she lives or dies as a non-human.

CHAPTER 18:

In the hysteria of facing the eternity devil, Ashuta finally snaps at Kobeni after trying to keep everyone calm the entire mission, telling her she's going to be a shit devil hunter if she freaks out at the slightest inconvenience. Kobeni yells back that it was easy for her to say, that she'd been calm and collected the entire mission because she can't die. Ashuta yells at her that pussying out and turning on her teammates made it more likely for all of them to die, and to shut the fuck up and help if she was going to stay a devil hunter. It certainly doesn't make Kobeni like her, but it shuts her up.

CHAPTER 20:

Ashuta joins the newbie welcome party. Denji questions how she can eat if she's a vampire, and she shrugs and explains that it's the same way devils eat- the only difference is human food isn't of nutritional substance to her and she doesn't retain any energy from it, she eats it for nostalgia purposes and the taste.

Ashuta lightens up when Makima joins the party, glad to see someone familiar- she considers Makima a friend, being the first person who was nice to her.

During the party, Makima asks Aki how Ashuta's first mission was, and wether she had done satisfactory. Aki admits that she did well, and Ashuta can't help but be a little happy at his approval.

As the night progresses, she gets drunk enough where she feels less afraid to approach Aki again. The two actually end up talking some. While drunk, Aki apologizes for the way that he had regarded her earlier in the night, and that she handled her first mission well, remaining composed in such a stressful situation .

Ashuta shrugs, and says it's fine- when she was turned into a vampire, she'd been shunned by everyone she once knew. She explains she still considers herself the same person she was before, but she fears rejection from humans more than she fears injuries from devils. He suggests she come stop by their apartment again sometime (more out of drunken guilt than actual like for her, but it's a start to them becoming friends).

Cant believe I have to make a statement like this but if you use MY OCS without permission I will be unbelievably pissed. Im not talking about fan art of my ocs or characters like Jingle who I let Quakey draw freely because he was made with her oc in mind.

I mean people using my ocs without knowing me or my characters to make content. Im talking about people using my ocs to make fetishitic content. Because yes this has happened before. But its getting so nerve wracking waiting for some rando to see my oc on google and call dibs. It happens the MOST in the care bear community. Its so bad I get actual anxiety about people adding my oc art to Collections on DA. Geo and an Au design of Bluster were added to collections marked with a project title. DONT FUCKING USE MY CHARACTERS OR MY DESIGNS WITHOUT ASKING ME. Geo HAS been stolen before and it was frustrating having the same person and their friends contact me several times trying to talk me into letting her be used for their content after I said no.

This is far beyond my redesigns or aus being stolen or heavily copied which also frustrates me to no end. But Ive come to expect it because it always happens to my work. People have gone out of their way to edit my watermark or sona out of art to repost it.

But my ocs are fully mine and I have extensive lore to them I dont want some stranger shipping my 14 year old character with one of my 30 year old ones because they dont know their ages. I dont wanna see Geo being used for personal projects because her 'design is cool'. I dont want to see my canonnically lesbian ocs being paired with my canonically gay characters. Im not a content creator or artist whos making a popular media peice, Im not making a show. So people do not know these designs trace back to me. When you see art of welcome home or h*lluva b*ss you know who their creators are. You know whos characters those are. You know Amity and Luz are Dana Terrace's.

But I'm a hobby artist whos following is barely over 1000 followers most of whom arent active. I wouldnt be so pissed if i had some huge popular project under my belt where people recognised my ocs and knew this content wasnt canon. But im not and it fucking sucks having some randos using my ocs incorrectly without credit or acknowledgement theyre mine.

Prisma!Sans is an out!code character created by the "creator god's" as he likes to call them. He's just a little skeleton who just loves to explore and create new things. He was made without a soul because the creators forgot to draw him one. But they gave him a special ability in return where he is able to feel emotions without vitals.

Now here's some questions that I'm probably going to get asked about him.

☀️ What do you mean by "giant pencil"?

Well as the only skeleton in Prismatale, Prisma didn't really have that many friends, so the creators gave him a giant living pencil which Prisma named Greg.

They have been inseparable ever since that day.

☀️ What is his personality like?

Mostly happy and cheerful, kind of like a child. He loves putting a smile on other people's faces. Though he doesn't really take things seriously during a fight. He would often try to befriend his opponent. Most of the time it has worked, and some other times... not so much.

☀️Is he supposed to be an alternative Ink! Sans?

No, he is his own person with his own personality and his own ability. I can assure you he is not an au version of Ink, though his design was inspired by him, just a bit. These two might be able to create, but that does not mean that they are the same person.

☀️How come Prisma doesn't wear shoes?

Well Prisma feels that wearing shoes are uncomfortable and distracting so he asked Gary to remove them from his design.

☀️ Why didn't the creators just draw him a soul?

By the time they realized it, the character was already finished, so it was too late. So they just went with plan B.

☀️ I'm curious to know, what are his attacks?

Same thing as classic if you will, except the gaster blasters and bones are multicolored and can cause twice the amount of damage as he pleases.

☀️ What is his sexuality?

He goes by he/him pronouns and has no love interest (yet)

☀️ Can we ship him with who whatever we want?

Yes, I'm up for seeing some ship pairings!

☀️Are we allowed to make alternate versions of him?

Yes as long as you don't judge other people's opinions and beliefs.

☀️ Does he have a canon age?

Not necessarily,like Ink he doesn't really age because he has no soul.

☀️What is his canon height?

His canon height is 4'3

☀️Does he get along with other out!codes and AUs?

Absolutely! He's befriended many people throughout the multiverse.

☀️Does he know Ink!Sans?

These two have met before yes. And Prisma said it was like looking into a mirror of beauty. (Forgive me for being cringe)

☀️Does he know Error!Sans or any other anomalies?

Yea, unfortunately Error tried everything erase him from existence, but couldn't cuz he has no soul. He's even tried destroying Prismatale, but can't thanks to Greg's protection.

☀️ Are we allowed to make fan children?

Please do I want new babies! (Let me stop). 😂

☀️ Does he have another design?

Nope just this one!

☀️ Are we allowed to use him in our drawings/comics?

Yes, you don't have to ask for permission but you must still credit.

☀️Can we make our own head cannons?

Sure as long as you don't make fun of/judge someone else's opinions.

☀️ What does his eye glow look like?

It's normally rainbow colored but it can change colors at any moment.

☀️Are we allowed to make Nsfw art of him?

Ummm.....fine but please don't send it to me.

☀️ what does the AU look like.

Well there is a giant fountain in the middle, a rainbow bridge on the left, the rest is up to you.

☀️ Does he interact with other AU's?

Often yes, only when he's bored though.

☀️ What AU's has he visited?

He's visited Underswap plenty of times (he considers that his favorite), he's only been the Underfell once,Outertale, Microtale, Horrortale (he wasn't afraid of any of the monsters there), and precisely Littletale.

☀️What is Prisma afraid of?

Nothing, knowing he doesn't have a soul, he finds no reason to be afraid of anything.

☀️ Does he like to draw?

All the time yes! He always carries a sketchbook with him in case he wants to make himself a new friend.

☀️Wait Prisma can create life??! That's cray cray!

Yes, with Greg's help that is. No matter how dangerous the task, he will get it done.

☀️ Can he teleport?

Yes he can, but his teleporting works different than anyone else's. All he has to do is tap his foot on the ground three times, and he'll melt right back into the void.

☀️ Wait if Prismatale is an AU why is it called the void?

Great question,it isn't really an "AU" AU, but we got to call it something am I right?

☀️What are his favorite foods?

He simply enjoys a big bowl of ice cream with lots of chocolate and plenty of sprinkles. He also has a thing for pancakes.

☀️Has he met any papyruses in the Mutiverse?

Well he's met one, which was Horrortale Papyrus. And that was the first papyrus that he has ever met. They get along just great and make "spaghetti" together.

☀️ What happens if he is an any danger?

With soft grin, a straight face, he will call upon his friend Greg to defend him. And who wouldn't be scared of a giant pencil able to erase anything in the multiverse?

☀️ What is Greg's personality like?

Normally a pencil wouldn't have any personality because it isn't alive, but this one actually does! You can't really tell what he's feeling, but you can tell his emotions with his every movement.

☀️ What are some of the things that Greg has drawn for Prisma?

A floating cloud (Prisma only uses it when he's too lazy to walk), a blob monster, a fairy wand(it's his weapon) and that's it so far.

☀️ Who are the other characters?

You'll find out later.

My initial reason why I wanted to read early Doctor Strange comics from Strange Tales #110 was to explore the early mystical/supernatural/horror side of the Marvel universe. I had made a list of characters: Blade, Ghost Rider, Daimon Hellstrom, Werewolf By Night etc. and I felt like I couldn’t fully explore the mystical side of Marvel without including Doctor Strange so I did. One of the characters that I wanted to read more of was Morbius the Living Vampire so I started with his first appearance in Amazing Spider-Man #101. Before I read these two issues (TASM #101-102) my only experience with Michael Morbius was some appearances he had made in the 90’s and 00’s Spidey comics but my main experience with him was the 90’s Spider-Man: The Animated Series (no I haven’t seen Morbius and I probably won’t).

So let’s get to his origin. I loved these two issues. I mean, yes they are full of cheesy, campy dialogue but these are 70’s comics so I can look past that kind of stuff. Btw, am I the only one who hears Christopher Daniel Barnes’ voice when they read Spidey comics? For some reason (maybe it’s nostalgia) I still hear his voice over anyone else. I found no problems just jumping in on #101 which I did have reservations about since I hadn’t been actively reading #1-100 before this one. It’s interesting that they brought in Morbius to cure Peter’s six-arm problem because it was shown that when Morbius bit Lizard, he made Connors shift in and out of his transformation with varying degrees of control. I love the way Roy Thomas wrote Spidey in these issues, and the constant dialogue within his head or out loud just works for this era of Peter.

I’m a sucker for a tragic villain and Morbius is the poster child for that. I love the choice to show him in the midst of being hunted by the other people on the ship and I like the fact that when his origin is revealed in #102 we get the whole picture. Michael initially tried to just drown himself but the monstrous urge to feed on people took control and led him out of the water to go and feed on people. It shows that Michael doesn’t want to be a monster and hurt people but the hunger inside of him often takes control of him and he has no way to fight it. It’s a tragedy. He even killed his best friend who’s trying to help him cure himself of this blood disease. It’s the classic I-tried-to-cure-myself-but-instead-changed-myself-into-a-monster-thing. Which actually works really well and parallel to The Lizard who also pops up in these issues trying to help Peter cure his six arm problem.

I loved the appearance of Doc Connors and it led to a great fight between Lizard/Morbius/Spidey. The art done by Gil Kane great. I really love the way he draws Spidey and Peter. The one thing I will say is that Peter never looks like he’s a teenager to me. He looks like he’s at least in his twenties and that’s a common problem that I’ve noticed with a lot of Spidey comics (Ultimate Spider-Man by Bendis and Bagley is a good exception). There’s great action throughout and I love seeing the struggle/team-up between Lizard and Spidey. Overall, I think the cure that Morbius’ blood provides for Peter Parker is the example for a “comic bookey” moment but it works for me. I could see it not working for others though. Marvel was already releasing a Dracula book so I don’t see why they had to create Morbius? But hey, I’m glad they did cause he’s a great tragic character and I can’t wait to read more about him. It’s not as enjoyable as the Doctor Strange run but that’s like 70 issues that I’ve read so it’s not really a fair comparison. Anyways! This was a really fun read regardless of my nitpicking! Fragile Things Chapter 14: What If You Move On Without Me?

"What if I found the way back, But you weren't there?" - Centaur World, I've Been Looking for You

Olimar and Louie were laughing as they trekked across the Perplexing Pool. 

"That stupid slime ball didn't stand a damn chance against us!" Louie was beaming, a few pikmin taking a joy ride on his helmet.  

"Yeah! It seemed attracted to the light of our beacons… so it didn't know who to turn to!"

"Wonder why…? Say, what did you end up calling it anyways?"

"Ranging Bloyster! It seemed to fit, looking so much like a Today Bloyster but big." 

"Yeah, that works. I guess "big blobby bastard" isn't appropriate as a species name, huh?"

Olimar burst out laughing more at that. "No, it isn't. A shame too, you had good alliteration with that name."

"... I'll pretend I know what that means and let myself be proud."

The captain simply rolled his eyes at that as they entered base. "Well, ready to go home kiddo?"

They had finally repaid the debt. After almost two weeks of non-stop work, they were done. They were done! More than done in fact - they were only part way through the cave when they hit their goal. Still, they had to finish it as there was no other way to leave. But now they could finally go home. After all these weeks, Olimar could just fall against his wife and let the bad memories of this planet fade. Snuggled into her arms, nothing could hurt him.

Before they entered the ship though, Olimar stopped. He turned to the pikmin. This was it… he may never see them again. Well, he also thought that last time. Hopefully, then, the next time he saw them was on his own accord and in better circumstances. Kneeling down to their level, Olimar held his arms open. "Hey, I'm leaving now… it may be a long while. Okay?"

He didn't understand the pikmin just yet, and they did not fully understand their leaders in turn. Still, the pikmin seemed to know what was happening. This was it, their goal was completed, so they were leaving. With joyful squeaks and eyes full of tears, the pikmin ran for Olimar and Louie both to get hugs. Both Hocotations yelped and fell over as the pikmin kept piling up, desperately trying to get their share of affection.

They sat like that for a while, laughing and crying slightly as they shared their good-byes. Many squeaks from the pikmin were repeated: "Foe-lata! Too voe mo! Foe-lata!"

It was the same thing they said when he left in his Dolphin all those weeks ago. "Too voe mo" was something he heard oh so often. He knew it was important, he just didn't know what it meant. "Goodbye, little ones…" Olimar cooed, stroking back stems. "I love you. Please take care, okay?"

The pikmin didn't really respond, just repeating their little squeaks. That was fine, Olimar had essentially done the same thing.   

He couldn't let this go on forever though. He stood up, letting the pikmin squeeze in some final goodbyes, and turned to Louie. The younger man was covered in pikmin as well, and so Olimar had to help him up and peel the overly affectionate carrots off of him. They then climbed aboard the ship.     

Olimar headed straight for the control panel, already plotting a course back home. It'd take a few minutes, but it would ensure their safety. It was more than worth it. A few extra minutes spent was fine. 

"Plotting course back to Hocotate, you ready Louie?"

"Yes Sir! I'll head to the kitchen and prepare dinner."

"I appreciate it, kiddo." Olimar hummed as he spoke, light chuffs escaping him. He could already see Rose, Nova, Luna, and Bulbie so clearly in his mind's eye… the tales he could tell of his adventure, the rest he could finally have. Maybe he could take them all out somewhere nice. It didn't matter where they went or what they did, just so long as they were together. He then turned his head towards the ship's exit. Odd… he could've sworn he heard the sounds of Louie talking and a pikmin squeaking. Yet no one was there. Maybe he was just so used to those noises, his mind was filling in the blanks of the quiet ship? Speaking of the kid, maybe he'd invite Louie! Introduce him to his family, slowly integrate him in. He wasn't sure how they would react, but he wanted to try. No matter what, he at least would always consider him family. 

With Louie in the kitchen and the pikmin in their onions, Olimar had the ship take flight. 

He stood by the panel as the ship flew, just in case. If something happened he'd rather be right here to take manual control of the vessel. Thus, he waited until the ship was safely out of the atmosphere and preparing for hyper drive before heading over to the kitchen. "Hey buddy, what did you decide to make?" He asked as he poked his head in. 

But Louie wasn't there.

Odd, but maybe he was just in storage to grab a beast. That would make sense. He decided to turn and climb down there, scanning the large room for his co-worker.

But Louie wasn't there either.

Panicking a bit now, Olimar rushed back up the ladder to do a quick scan of the main floor. Bedrooms were empty, bathroom was empty, the ship was empty. Panic began to take hold of Olimar, forcing him to lean against a wall as his head spun and he struggled for breath. No, no no no no no - shit, that must of been Louie earlier then! 

"S-ship-" he struggled to get his words out, his chest was just too tight and he was losing all sense of balance. His speech was barely a breath, certainly not loud enough for anyone to hear let alone some cheap microphone. 

"Engaging hyperdrive." The monotone voice of the ship rang.

"N-NO!" Olimar finally caught his breath, adrenaline pumping through him. "NO, SHIP STOP-!"

"Hm?" The more animated of the ship's voices replied. "It's too late to stop captain-"

"I said to fucking stop NOW!" He practically screamed, fur standing on end. "LOUIE'S NOT ON BOARD!"

The ship was quiet for a long time before responding. "I-I'm sorry, Captain-"

"NO YOU'RE NOT! BECAUSE YOU ARE GOING TO FUCKING STOP AND TURN BACK TO GET HIM-"

"I can't, Sir. It's too dangerous to disengage hyperdrive early. We'll have to wait till we return to Hocotate and turn around-"

"NO! NO WE'RE NOT FUCKING DOING THAT - IT'LL TAKE A WEEK TO GET THERE AND BACK!" Olimar slammed his fist against the ship wall. "I DON'T CARE ABOUT THE DANGER, WE NEED TO GET HIM NOW BEFORE SOMETHING ELSE GETS HIM!"

"Sir, I can't-"

"YES YOU CA-"

"If I stop now the chance of crashing into something is too high. At this speed, the crash would destroy me and kill you instantly. Then he'll be stuck there longer as people wait to realize we're not coming back." The ship then seemed to sigh. "I don't like this any more than you do, trust me, but it's our only option."

Olimar buried his face into his hands, nails digging into his skin slightly as he just screamed. He pulled his hands down slightly, leaving small white scratches his fur hid, before slamming his hand against the wall again. This time he flinched, pulling his hand back and looking at the bright mark left from it. He leaned against the wall then, slowly falling to the floor.

"... again, Sir, I'm s-"

"Did you not check to see if he was here?!? Notice him leaving?!?"

"No, Sir, I didn't. My RAM was taken up making sure necessary systems were online and setting up the hyperdrive. There was no way for me to "notice" him leaving the ship, thus no record either."

Not enough fucking RAM?!? He knew his boss was starting to cut more and more corners with the ships and even their suits, but that was just… he didn't have words to describe his anger. He didn't have the energy to be angry anymore. The captain began to tremble, curling into himself. "W-what have I done…?"

"Olimar. You didn't do anything wrong. So many little things led to this, you couldn't have predicted them all happening at the same time. It was pure bad luck. No one is responsible, least of all you."

Olimar just shook his head though as his eyes began to water. "I- I left the boy there. I - I left him behind!"

"Olimar-"

"I've seen what nocturnal predators can do to pikmin in mere minutes, h-he won't even last a day there!"

"... we'll get him no matter what. But he has the pikmin, I do believe he'll hold out until we arrive."

The captain kept shaking his head though. "I don't - I don't know. I'm terrified. And I just left him!

"Olimar, it's not your fault-"

"I'm the captain!" He snapped back. "I'm responsible for everyone! I'm supposed to keep them safe!" His ears leaned back as he shook more. "And all I've done is forget about him entirely and get pikmin killed."

"... you also saved a lot of pikmin." The ship offered. "They still followed you. It'd be very easy for them to leave. But you never broke their trust. I promise, you'll get Louie back as well-"

"Don't promise that." Olimar hissed. "Please, I just -" he shook his head, shaking more now. He didn't know what to do. "Please leave me alone…"

The ship was quiet for a moment. "I will pester you to get food, water, rest, and the like. But I will leave you to yourself if that's what you want."

Olimar huffed, but he couldn't argue against the ship just trying to keep him functioning. "Fine, fine… thank you."    

"Of course, Olimar."

The captain slowly stood up, heading for his room. He stumbled in, head pounding and eyes burning, then reached up for something on his loft bed. He pulled the little space blanket down, just staring at it for a moment. It was so small, and so soft. He gently rubbed a thumb on it, looking over all the little stars and rockets plastered all over the thing. It once belonged to Nova, but now Olimar couldn't help but associate it with both of his boys. Both of them he left behind, one on a deadly hell world and the other to grow up largely without him as he worked to the bone to keep him fed. Letting out a broken wail, he slid against the wall and onto the floor again as he curled around the tiny blanket, burying his face in it as he sobbed uncontrollably.

Hi! I originally started following you for your star wars/leia content. I was wondering if that's something you're still into? I'm especially curious if you're going to do more writing for your Leia 100 ships challenge! Not to pressure you or anything, I know interests and free time change. Just wanted to check in! <3

I’m not sure if you mean SW/Leia stuff I reblog or my writing? If it’s the former, yes. I’ll likely never stop reblogging SW stuff. I love it, it’s my home. I just also really got into mass effect and dragon age and those fandoms are a lot more active than the parts of the SW universe I’m interested in. (Really wish I were a prequels fan sometimes lol)

If it’s the latter, yes? With some caveats. Mass Effect and Dragon Age really have me by the throat right now. And it’s where a lot of my friends are. Which is a big draw for me because…well. I don’t have many friends into SW. At least not into the same ships. And it’s hard to maintain my interest in writing when I don’t have friends to bounce things off of. Also…look. I know we’re not supposed to create things for engagement. But also…art is meant to be shared? I want my stuff to be read, otherwise I wouldn’t post it. And I don’t want to sound like I’m whining but. Idk. I wasn’t getting much engagement on my SW fics? And I know I’m not owed a comment. No one has to like my stuff and considering some of it pretty fuckin niche, I’m not really surprised there wasn’t engagement. But there’s only so long that you can scream into a void until you go hoarse. Sometimes I just want the void to talk back? So yeah, I kinda burned out on SW.

Also, I went back to college last spring and it’s been kicking my ass. I haven’t had much time/energy for any sort of writing.

I am in a SW exchange and I fully plan to complete my assignment so you will see a SW fic from me soon but I can’t say much about it due to anon rules.
