Today I attended an in-person yoga class. It has been 3 years and 20 pounds since my last confession yoga class.
It was humbling moving my new body through the flows. I am still very good at some things but the years of absence have resulted in some trouble. I experienced wrist pain after sustaining planks/down dog for more than a few minutes. I fell out of a lunge/twist, which was a little embarrassing. And my balance is SHIT.
But I can still twist seated/lying down like a motherfucker. My body remembers poses and I was grateful.
Maybe need a new mat as mine was squeaking pretty loudly. But I feel great afterwards. 👍
