So in my Kaira/Ananta medal post I mentioned that the creator of Blaster Plus Plus, Younes, does Blasters mod commissions and that I willingly help by drawing medals for those Yo-kai, so why not show them here too?
The second B medal I made was for Catlord Enma Matatabi (people refer to him as "Enmanyan" hurts me, ignore the tag hehe)! The Blasters 2 Deva Yo-kai who has the title of 5th Enma ruler (indicated by the amount of spirits he has).
If you wonder why the outline isn't rainbow unlike Kaira's, it's because I think it looks way better without it (at least in-game), plus they look like that in official art for some reason? Idk.
Though I kept the rainbow lineart in the Yo-kai itself because it makes it suits it, especially for being a Deva. I did consider making a purple frame since he's a Deva, but I got hit with the greatest roadblock ever: laziness.
(Medal frame by Sofuto btw)

Toki Reads Shonen Jump 2024, Issue #47

One Piece: The Post-Baroque Works Straw Hats learn that the Luffy has been publicly labeled as Vegapunk's killer, and Robin notices a familiar X edited onto Luffy's arm in the accompanying photo; meanwhile, Luffy meets the disgraced prince of Elbaf, Loki. Vivi snuck a message to the Straw Hats past Morgans, and some readers believe Loki's situation to be a parallel to when Luffy met Zoro and take that as a sign he may be recruited to the Straw Hats
HxH: Balsamilco attempts to assassinate Halkenburg, but is struck by Halkenburg's Nen arrow, resulting in his body being possessed. Provided he can evade Benjamin's suspicions, Halkenburg can use Balsamilco's body to assassinate Benjamin instead
Yozakura Family: As Kyoichiro enter's Asa's ship to rescue his father, Momo, he recalls his conversation with Momo about the plan to use Momo's Dreams to break Asa's Conquest over Taiyo's body, and is surprisingly against a plan that would endanger Taiyo; meanwhile, Alpha cries over seeing his father possessed by Asa. In addition to clarifying how Taiyo can be rescued, one could also draw parallels between Kyoichiro and Alpha's desires to save their respective fathers
Undead Unluck: Soul takes the stage to fight Julia; Change fights Gina, disarming her while entering Phase 3, but ends up getting decked in the face for her troubles. Gina's character arc reaches its climax, mirroring her dialogue from her first appearance with a notable change in her opinion on "change" as a concept
Me & Roboco: Ruri and Roboco take the Hunter Exam Serialization Conference's trials to have a serialization approved for Shonen Jump. With her serialization approved, Ruri's manga will likely be a recurring element going forward, possibly getting full faux chapters like Uron Mirage in Witch Watch
Sakamoto Days: Atari foresees her death, which can only be avoided if she meets up with her soulmate; using her precognition, she survives an attack from and ultimately defeats Higuchi, the karma-obsessed killer from Sakamoto's flashback. The viability of Atari's precognition is shown off, but fans start to question her exact wording; while we all assume her "soulmate" is going to be Shin, she has never once directly alluded to him specifically, and might well mean Heisuke instead
Elusive Samurai: now fully human, Shizuku devises a plan to overcome Takauji's divinity and render him vulnerable to human weaponry; a character I don't recognize and can find no information on secretly offers Tokiyuki refuge in Shinano. This will presumably account for some of the missing time in Tokiyuki's historical records
Witch Watch: Nemu tries to come clean about being the stray cat that routinely visits the Otogi Family, but ends up engaging in accidental bestiality with Keigo (and arguably purposeful bestiality with Wolf). Shipteases my personal favorite part of the entire series, making this one of my favorite chapters of the week
Blue Box: Chinatsu realizes that something is up when Taiki doesn't come to meet her, and manages to find him locked up in a shed by a boy who claims to have liked her for some time. Chinatsu's faith in Taiki and righteous indignation towards the other boy are a refreshingly straightforward take on the usual misunderstandings and subterfuge you find in these types of rom-coms
Akane-Banashi: Akane tries to refuse Issho's forceful recruitment, but Urara appears to save her from throwing her career away in a moment of passion; Akane asks Urara to explain Issho and Shiguma's past. Whatever Akane learns here will influence her decision to study under Issho, and will definitely be of extreme importance to how she refines Shiguma's Art
Kill Blue: Juzo finally wins the cavalry battle, then invites Hijiri out for ramen at Noren's uncle's restaurant; Shin almost manages to get a lap pillow from Noren, but is interrupted by Jinta, who now considers him a blood brother. Juzo's refusal to accept one person's suffering for the Greater Good will likely be a recurring theme for this arc
Nue's Exorcist: Tsujita resolves to confess to Gakuro and picks a fight with Kazusa, resulting in both of them getting accidentally groped; Rido seems to be betraying the Exorcists to heal Mizuki's illness; Gashadokuro is resurrected. If we're not going the poly route, then Tsujita's proactiveness is set to earn her the dishonor of being the first losing heroine; either way, Gashadokuro is definitely going to interupt her date with Gakuro
Kagurabachi: Hiruhiko exposits about the Hishaku's organization and somehow comes to the conclusion that it's not just his similarities with Chihiro that would make them good friends, but their differences; the Hishaku close in Samura. If the Hishaku successfully kill Samura or Uruha, Hiruhiko will be given possession of one or both of their Enchanted Blades
Super Psychic Policeman Chojo: Ippongi brings her grandfather to meet Chojo, who in turn comes to believe that Chojo is a dangerous womanizer who's trying to seduce Ippongi. With the number of girls surrounding Chojo, it's starting to seem like the author is trying to set this series up as a harem
Astro Royale: Realizing that the cops are so dangerous because of their synergy, Hibaru realizes the best strategy is to divide and conquer. A nice bit of strategy on Hibaru's part that justifies the one-on-one matchups quite gracefully; I do hope we'll see combo attacks later, though
Yokai Buster Murakami: Kuin and Murakami meet Shutendoji, who doesn't want to be the leader of a yokai gang and instead wants to relax and drink; Murakami recruits her to the Kuin Corps by letting her do just that. Kuin now effectively has both the exorcist and yokai worlds under his command; could a peaceful and unified world be around the corner?
Ultimate Exorcist Kiyoshi: After beating up an old man, Kiyoshi is granted the title of Grand Cross, giving him the right to go on expeditions to the Demon Realm; a bounty has been put on Kiyoshi's head in the Demon Realm. Presumably, Kiyoshi will begin an expedition to the Demon Realm in the following arc
Hima-Ten: Kanna transfers to Tenichi's school, definitely for work and NOT to get closer to Tenichi; Kanna IMMEDIATELY notices that Tenichi likes Honoka, but doesn't seem discouraged. If this doesn't end up poly, I'm rioting
Ichi the Witch: Kumugi gets to know Ichi, and the two seem to hit it off pretty well, though seeing him in action unsettles her a little bit. Magic-based discrimination seems to go beyond gender and applies to aptitude, setting up the hapless Kumugi as a foil to the one-in-a-million Ichi
Shinobi Undercover: Miyake calls out Hibari for being fake as hell and even taunts her for trying to save a civilian; though Hibari fails to deal damage, she manages to send a message to Yodaka. Hibari's refusal to abandon a classmate and decision to call Yodaka for help reinforces the growing themes of Frienship
Hakutaku: Hikuma's team gives a skewed impression of how quickly game development works, and Kitahara reinvents Among Us. As this is the first major conflict, the main team is likely going to win, but the thematic implications may not be clear for a while
Ruri Dragon: Despite her fear of thunder, Ruri uses the knowledge that her classmates aren't scared of her as motivation to use her powers to stop the storm. Ruri's fears of being an outcast are effectively assuaged, and she's beginning to be able to accept herself
As I wrote this, near the end tumblr informed me that I exceeded some kind of text limit about halfway through Hakutaku, so perhaps I'll need to shave these down going forward?
If anyone has any suggestions for how I can better refine this recap series or make it more engaging, please let me know! As it stands, the only benefit I'm getting is an excuse to try to remember the series I don't care as much about, but I don't think that will carry over to other readers, so I'm open to any feedback y'all are willing to give!

Okay okay more brainrot of an alternate Dark Rise Turtle tot timeline where Big Mama raises the Dark Turtles from babies to adults.
Big Mama learns that Yasei cried for like 7 hours straight because the baby was allergic to her eucalyptus hand cream. She promptly got rid of every product in the hotel that contained Eucalyptus.
She has Splinter on speed dial, having semi made up with him in order to help them both with their own sets of kids.
The Dark Turtles keep their names, as Big Mama had given them their names in the normal timeline as well
Nashi loses his eye and has a personality shift around the age of 11 due to being attacked by a thug yokai while on an errand.
Each dark turtle has a cloaking brooch and frequently walks around the humans (mainly to get coffee)
They're all much more socialize, but still have their issues, Waru not talking, Yasei having short sentences and whatever Tekku has going on.
They still go on recon missions, hunting down people who have wronged Big Mama in some way.
They wear a lot more human clothes, Nashi specifically having fancy ass cloaks and scarves.
Waru and Yasei are Gus' favorites.
Nashi is the reigning Battle Nexus champion, but only fights like once a month.
The episode Bug Busters is the first time the Dark Turtles meet the normal Turtles, meeting at the moment the Turtles are trying to break into Big Mama's vault. (They're just sitting at the desk and the others didn't even notice them.)
They also are always watching whenever the Turtles have an encounter with the hidden city, Baron Draxum or Big Mama. Always observing.
Big Mama adores her little boys, she always was carrying one or two back when they were still tots and she was conducting business.
Big Mama and Splinter exchanged baby pictures often, them both being aware of the other's kids but never telling their own kids.

Reigen !!! What is your advice for a spiritual possession !!! urgent question !!! The spirit is making me watch hallmark romcoms and it threatens to make me walk off my apartment balcony if i change the channel
please help 😰😰😰
WHAT A HORRORIFIC EXPERIENCE! FEAR NOT, you've come to the right place!
Most posession is typically influenced by the connection people have had with their spiritual overtakers. That could be positive, like a deceased relative or friend seeking closeness or negative, like someone out for revenge or someone you've crossed with poorly in the past. There are also outliers to this, like yokai running amuck or a lost soul who's trying to cause chaos.
Knowing this your first course of action should always be to gauge the threat!! Take a moment to connect with your surroundings and feel out the energy within. If something yearns to cause your poor self harm, you will know! You don't have to be an esper, such as myself, to do this. So carry forward with caution, Anon.
After deciding the type of threat, positive or negative, you next step can be taken in many ways. I always encourage those suffering under the hands of the paranormal to get to me ASAP! The faster I make contact, the safe YOU ARE, my friend. Though, if you are determined to handle this on your own (HIGHLY DISCOURAGED), my suggestion is to find the safest way to disturb the spirit. Do not offend it, do not make clear contact with it if it has clearly cruel intentions, but merely pull yourself away from this trance.
Positive energies are the safest to overcome, but not easy. Usually a conversation or a redirection helps. Exorcisim for these kinds are spirits are a LAST RESORT. ✨️Spirits N' Such✨️ aims to rellocate in these situations, thanks to the suggestion of our deputy officer.
Negative energies, however, are horrendously dangerous and under NO circumstance should you try to force it out on your own. You will need help. Come to us in person or call if you are unable. Consider us 911 for ghosts. Like ghost... I don't know, "busters" or something.
Additionally when there is an absence of a spirit, especially after an exorcisim, cleanse your space. We offer many products to help you do so!
TO RECAP:
Gauge the threat! (Positive or Negative spirit?)
Contact me OR conversate with caution!
Cleanse the space!
Stay safe out there, friend. Come see me ASAP for a quick and easy solution!!

B medal: Uhhhhh... Alright, I know people can be a bit controversial with localised names, especially the ones from post YKW3 (cough cough Nekomata) so I'll just use both names.
Jaou Kaira/Lord Ananta:
I was originally gonna draw another Yo-kai (who I won't say because I'll probably still do it at some point), but a friend of mine really likes this Yo-kai. So much so that they commissioned a modder (the same one that made Blasters Plus Plus) to make a mod that makes him playable. So I thought it'd be a nice surprise if I made Kaira a B medal that can be seen in-game hehe.
I did draw a few B medals in the past, but this is the first one I made not only in a while but also in Krita, so I apologize if the lighting looks a bit off.
If you're wondering why the outlines have that rainbow color, some Bandai medals have rainbow variants that even have a unique summoning song in the Model U!

Oh right, and the frame/border I used wasn't made by me, it was made by an artist called Sofuto!
Next medal will be a Commander medal... However I must tell you that Ananta's medal was the last one I made for this little challenge/list/whatever so you won't be seeing it in a while. But! I do have some other medals and drawings that I have yet to show, so I'll post those until this medal is finished :)

Rise Magic Watch - The Fast and the Furriest, Bug Busters pt1
Okay okay okay. Let's get. Let's get the funnier but less important episode out of the way (opinion, I know, but honestly this episode was cracking me up this time around): Fast and the Furriest.
((actually, I realized while watching this I need to move it before Mascot Melee, given it's the introduction to the tank. Now fixed in my files.))
First, some appreciaction for the yokai designs.
Great stuff. And actually, put a pin in this topic briefly. Now, opinion time:
Is this diegetic or not? I can go either way, though I do think it would be funny if this was like. A minor illusion he learned during the Before and still uses to intimidate people.
I get my confirmation that Meat Sweats does not need to cook whatever he's absorbing.
...no idea if that guy is dead or not, though.
I will say! Watching what he's absorbing, I think I want to state a (probably obvious) sort of difference in classification I'm noticing with mystics. That is, there's mystic (biological) and mystic (magic).
Like. The snake and the silverfish - they have things they can do (spit venom, split into copies) that seem to be... like, they're not magic/mystic energy. They're just something that kind of being can.... do??? And this is the only type of being we've seen Meat Sweats absorb powers from.
It makes me wonder like.... what would happen if he tried to absorb abilities from, say, Mayhem? Or even one of the turtles? Like, because the boys abilities are more... energy/spritual based, I don't know that he would be able to take them. But how would we classify Mayhem? Would he be able to take that poofing ability?
Something for me to think about.
Also when Mikey uses his weapon to attach to Meat Sweat's van, we get the return of the possessed weapon cackle.
You can kinda see its face, too. Is there a demon in there or not?
Leo makes a big portal - the effects for this are honestly very pretty.
And again, there's a delay between something going into the portal (the acid Meat Sweats spits), and the creation of the back-end of the portal. Could be/probably is for clarity of choreography, but it is a thing that happens.
Now, on to
BUG BUSTERS
Expect a lot of flailing and pointing going "look look!". I cannot promise full coherency here.
ALRIGHT. Time for cloaking brooches!
Let's play a game: illusion, or mass/physical transformation? Vote in the replies and/or tags below!
This is very different from the previous transformations we saw with Draxum's mercenaries or Clem in his shop, which showed the yokai features slowly morphing into place. Proooobably because they had to do a LOT of characters this time around.
Though, they do the same effect with Big Mama.
That almost rose-motif in the whirlwind is very magical girl of her. Anyways, I could see them wanting to keep consistency in the episode.
To give my answer to the game, I figure... it's gotta be physical - because people interact with her in human form, right? But like... where does the extra mass/mystic energy go? Is it like. Folded inside her?
I'll tell you what probably IS illusion magic.
The elevator shift. Great stuff, wonderful, I love it. Also, quick question, first mental association when you see this:
So tell me, were you a homestuck once? ((yeah yeah, I was at the devil's sacrament, ect)) Zodiac symbols sure make for quick and easy ~mystic~ symbols, don't they?
Moving on.
Another game of "Illusion, or?"
Illusion? Physical transformation? ...portal? ((can you tell I want there to be illusions going on? I just think they're neat.))
Another thing I find interesting: the amount of things that are actually just... technology.
Even those orb things in the lounge for the Battle Nexus (last picture) have a very CRT-like effect to them. They could still be magic (I would have more fun if they were), but there's an argument to be made that they're just, like... advanced tech. Or maybe it's magi-tech? To let them get that full 3D view?
Also, this panel could equally be magic or technology.
And.... I'm about to run into my image-limit for this post, so I'll put the rest in a part 2.
Although... Just one more thing. Just one last teensy question, y'know?
So they take the boys to the entrance to the Battle Nexus - and the way they talk about it ("Say goodbye to New York") I think its actually located somewhere else and they just stream it to the hotel? But also. They show you the portal you have to go through and uh. Hey. Hey, uh.
What.
Part 2

Toki Reads Shonen Jump 2024, Issue #50: 4D Chess Week

One Piece: Loki figures out he can leverage Luffy's and Shanks' relationship to free himself from six years of imprisonment; Robin returns to her pre-timeskip haircut so Saul would recognize her, and the fandom rejoiced. Brook, who also plans to use his hair to prove his identity to Laboon, being the one to cut Robin's hair is the cutest thing in the entire series
HxH: Hinrigh sees through Bolonenov's shapeshifting trick basically immediately; Chrollo reveals that he's trying to Phantom Thieve Kakin's national treasures specifically to get a power up to kill Hisoka, even if it costs his life. The death flags for the entirety of the Phantom Troupe are so numerous that Chrollo might as well be speaking in semaphore
Yozakura: Asa foresaw the plan to use Momo to break his Conquest, but Momo foresaw that Asa would foresee the plan and planned to use Kyoichiro's True Blooming to overcome Asa's contingency. I do not for a second buy that Kyoichiro is in any kind of danger from using his True Blooming
Undead Unluck: Julia dives into Victor's memories and learns how Undead and Unjustice first manifested; Victor comes back swingin'!; while I'm a tad underwhelmed by the first loop, the VictorJuiz content is really sweet and VictorJulia is a shockingly handsome couple
Roboco: Gorilla and Motsuo's friendly bullying is revealed to be a limiter for Bondo, who would otherwise allow their kindness to go to his head. This has always been one of my favorite bits in the series, and seeing it expanded upon was cute, funny and endearing
Sakamoto: Tenkyu takes Shin's "fortune-telling" to heart and doesn't retaliate when Shin tries to kill him, instead opting to run away; he then runs into Atari and learns the truth, immediately and gruesomely going back to killing afterward. I'm getting really endeared to Tenkyu, seeing the gears turn in his head is fascinating
EluSam: The final battle with Sadamune begins; Kojiro has earned more respect than he ever expected as a bastard child, Ayako is taller than ever, and the classic band of misfits have finally returned. I still don't care for the way Matsui depicts war scenes, but he really can compose single vignettes really well; Sadamune casually dodging Tokiyuki's arrow was easily the highlight of the chapter
Witch Watch: Moi realizes that Kuon really does have a vague and suspicious past, and was part of the previous Witch Watch team; he was also the inspiration for Uron Mirage, explaining both the similarities to the main cast and the vague storytelling style. That's a hell of a mystery that no one thought was a mystery and didn't even really need solving, but damn if it didn't just get solved
Blue Box: Chinatsu gets a nice recharge hug from Taiki, and fails to work up the nerve to kiss him; Chinatsu's dad has returned from The War(TM) to presumably throw a wrench in their relationship. I legit forgot they were living together, it feels like it hasn't been a factor in decades
Akane-Banashi: Issho, blood still running down his entire face from the beating he literally just took, deliriously listens to Kashiwaya's rakugo and has an epiphany that inspires him to become a rakugoka. The art of this chapter is great; the aged color pages, the conveyance of Issho's perceptions, and my favorite, the motion lines on Kashiwaya's actions creating the illusion of his pantomime's physicality
Kill Blue: The Home-Ec Club is challenged by the Maid and Butler Club to see who can get the most sales at the culture fest; as they've recruited a trio of Unicorns, this will certainly turn into a Mitsuoka Challenge. WAIT, THE PRECURE THING WAS RELEVANT?!
Nue: Gakuro uses his shadow-manipulation abilities in a way that I actually think is kind of cool for once and directly compares his feelings for Fujino to Rido's feelings for Mizuki; he gets stabbed for his troubles. If Gakuro somehow reneges on IMPLICITLY SAYING HE'S IN LOVE WITH FUJINO, I'm going to start biting
Kagurabachi: Hiruhiko reveals that he's never been to school, and heavily implies that the Sword Bearers are war criminals instead of heroes; Samura fails to beat the Billy Undead Unluck allegations and off-screens Uruha, allowing Hiruhiko to form a contract with Kumeyuri. While Samura's betrayal is perhaps a tad too sudden, I'm very interested in his character conflict; Hiruhiko wielding Kumeyuri after losing both of his arms is pretty sick imagery
Chojo: The gang want to show their appreciation to Chojo with a party, so they ask people who knew him in his younger days for ideas; they end up throwing a surprisingly bleak party where they thank him for being born. The look into Chojo's past does help flesh him out a bit, but I can't help but feel there's something important being obscured
Astro Royale: Himuro takes the Astro-enhancing drug and fuses with his Link; Hibaru allows himself to get frozen to save Kinpa, leaving her to fight Himuro and save the day. I'm shocked how much I enjoyed "I just don't like you" as Himuro's motivation in this arc, but the idea of his actions being 100% personal makes his abuse of power all the more apparent, as he's not even hiding the fact that he's doing so
Murakami: Kuin fuses with Sanmoto Gorozaemon to make him vulnerable to attacks, but Murakami uses it as an excuse to hang out with Kuin and Sanmoto instead; Sanmoto learns to love humanity, and reveals Murakami's secret heritage, this immediately turns out to be irrelevant since he's adopted; the series ends abruptly with a title drop. I'll admit, it kinda grew on me by the end with its cast and consistently improving sense of humor, but the last batch of jokes about Murakami's past was a bit of a weak ending
Kiyoshi: Kiyoshi faces the Great Demon Lord, Asuta Roth, who tanks all of Kiyoshi's previously established moves, though not without taking enough damage to at least be entertained. Asuta seems to be Kiyoshi's thematic inverse, so I look forward to how Usui continues to choreograph their fight
Hima-Ten: Kanna and Himari run into Tenichi while clothes shopping and drag him to a much trendier store than he intended; Kanna starts to worry that Honoka isn't the only rival she has to worry about. All of this can be solved with Kanna kissing girls
Ichi: Ichi turns Hisame into sashimi, and she's so impressed with how Ichi was able to bring out her literal inner beauty that she offers to date him (how she will do this in rock form, I have no idea); Ichi laments the loss of his sashimi boat. I am SO sure that Minakata, Ichi's mentor, is going to turn out to be a villain later
Shinobi: Umineko finally gets some attention and reveals through his inner monologue that he's a Yodaka fanboy; Hachikuma goes on the offensive in broad daylight, threatening countless civilians. The idea that Umineko loves Yodaka but, both inwardly and outwardly reacts with complete deadfaced stoicism, is absolutely hilarious to me
Hakutaku: We get a bit more insight into Zenji's dead brother, and Noto strongarms him into joining her team; Hikuma starts working on the game he promised last week, but it's gonna take two months to make, so that'll really show that mean lady. I kind of liked the transition into the reveal of Zenji's brother's coffin, but much like the rest of the series so far, it was inelegant to say the least; I'd really love to see this author improve
Every week over on twitter, WSJSurvey does a poll for folks' top 3 manga of the week (just like Jump does), and this was the first week I actually had a tough time deciding my favorites!
Obviously UU was the best, but Ichi didn't quite scratch the itch this time (probably because I'm bitter about being wrong again...). Kiyoshi's choreography and Roboco's endearing displays of Friendship ended up winning out, but Kagurabachi's weighty twist and Akane-Banashi's artistry both made extremely compelling cases
