White Horse - Chapter 35: October 2024 - Part 2
Pairing: Max Verstappen x Isabelle Leclerc (Original Character)
Summary:
Max Verstappen is a World Champion. Isabelle Leclerc is invisible.
She watched her family give up everything for Charles’ career—Arthur’s karting, their father’s savings, even her childhood horse. She understood. She never asked for more.
But Max does. He notices the things no one else does, listens when no one else will, and puts her first in ways she never imagined. With him, she isn’t an afterthought—she’s a choice. And for the first time, she realizes she doesn’t have to be invisible.
Warnings and Notes:
we have now moved on from Charles bashing to bashing his whole family, Discussions of toxic past relationships, talk about loosing a childhood pet, toxic families, mention of the loss of a parent.
As always big thanks to @llirawolf , who listens to me ramble

The first time Galahad was led out of his mother’s stall alone, Belle cried.
Not loudly. Not dramatically. Just… quietly. The kind of tears that surprised even her — warm and sudden and absolutely uninvited.
She stood just outside the barn, arms folded over the top rail of the paddock fence, watching as the stablehand gently led Galahad toward the adjacent enclosure. The foal pranced a little, all long legs and indignation, ears flicking in every direction as he let out a confused, reedy whinny.
“God,” Belle whispered, swiping at her cheek. “This is awful.”
Behind her, Max paused with two bottles of water hand and the unmistakable look of a man deeply unsure how to proceed.
“…You okay?” he asked, cautiously.
Belle sniffled. “He’s so small.”
“He’s the size of a sofa.”
“Emotionally, Max.”
Max came to lean beside her, handing her the water. “They said it’s a gentle wean. He’s already eating hay. It’s time.”
“I know it’s time,” she said, taking a sip. “I’m not arguing with biology. I just—he’s confused. Look at him. He doesn’t know where his mum went.”
Max squinted. “He looks like he’s trying to eat his own lead rope.”
“That’s a trauma response.”
“Belle.”
She wiped at her face again. “It’s just… she was so gentle with him. Fleur nudged him whenever he got stuck. She waited for him. And now she’s just back in her stall like—like nothing’s changed.”
Fleur, from her stall, let out a soft exhale and proceeded to dunk her hay in her water bucket like a seasoned professional who had zero emotional attachment to this conversation.
Max followed Belle’s line of sight. “You think she’s heartbroken too?”
“I think she has to be.”
There was a long pause.
“Do you want me to go in there and ask her?”
Belle gave him a flat look. “You’re not funny.”
Max grinned and bumped his shoulder against hers. “A little funny.”
They stood in silence a while longer. Galahad, still pouting, eventually flopped himself dramatically into the sunniest patch of the paddock. Belle sniffled again.
“It’s stupid,” she muttered. “I know it’s normal. I know it’s healthy. I’m just—”
“Wired for attachment,” Max said gently. “And watching someone you love grow up is hard. Even if they’re a four-legged menace who tried to eat your ponytail last week.”
Belle gave a watery laugh.
Max wrapped an arm around her shoulders, drawing her close. “He’ll be okay.”
“I know,” she said quietly. “But I think part of me just keeps waiting to be sold too.”
Max froze for a second, then held her tighter. No teasing now. Just warmth.
“You won’t be,” he said. “Not ever.”
Belle leaned her head against him, watching as Galahad stretched out and blinked lazily at the sky.
“Okay,” she whispered. “But I’m still going to check on him every hour.”
Max pressed a kiss to her hair. “Of course you are.”
And when they turned to go back inside, Galahad lifted his head and let out the tiniest, most indignant whinny — like he knew.
Belle looked back, teary again.
Max sighed. “He’s manipulating you already.”
“I’m not even mad about it.”

Max had been up before sunrise.
Not for training. Not for the simulator.
No.
Max had woken early for one reason: to beat every Monaco tabac owner to the punch and buy every copy of the October issue of Architectural Digest that he could find.
By 7:43 a.m., he had five.
He wanted more, but the man behind the counter at the third shop had blinked at the stack in Max’s arms and said, “Monsieur Verstappen, surely… five is enough?” Max had mumbled something about resale value and legacy and fled.
By 8:15, he had also acquired croissants (three kinds), pain au chocolat, two fresh baguettes, and a little paper-wrapped wedge of Belle’s favorite cheese from the bakery that always sold out early.
He walked into the kitchen like he was presenting her with the spoils of a victory parade.
Belle, still in her robe, blinked sleepily over her mug of tea. “What’s all this?”
Max placed the magazines on the counter like precious artifacts. "You're in Architectural Digest, schatje. That’s not a normal Tuesday."
Belle stared. “You bought five copies?”
Max shrugged, unrepentant. “One for us. One for the baby’s memory box. One for my mother. One for the factory. One just to frame. I would’ve bought more but they started asking questions. So I just ordered them online.”
She laughed—soft and stunned and already a little emotional. “You’re ridiculous.”
He leaned in, pressed a kiss to her cheek. “I’m so proud.”
And then, gentler: “You don’t just make houses beautiful. You make them live.”
Belle bit her lip and looked down, suddenly shy. “You read the article?”
Max smiled, already pulling out the jam. “Twice.”
And just like that, the kitchen felt a little fuller—with joy, with pride, with quiet, croissant-scented love.

ARCHITECTURAL DIGEST | October 2024 Edition
A Villa That Breathes: Inside the Thoughtful Transformation of Daniel Moreau and Jules Girault’s Provençal Refuge By Laurent Brousset | Photography by Sylvie Hohmann
Nestled on a winding hillside just beyond the edge of Monaco’s old town is a villa that feels like a held breath — slow, serene, and completely alive.
From the outside, the property gives little away: stone shutters, terracotta roof tiles, a fig tree bowing gently toward the sun. But inside, a story unfolds — of time, of tenderness, of architecture that doesn’t erase history, but cradles it.
And at the heart of that story is Belle Verstappen, interior architect and founder of Studio_B.
The Soul of a House
“When we bought it, the bones were beautiful — but tired,” says Jules Girault, who owns the home with his husband, creative executive Daniel Moreau. “We didn’t want to gut it. We wanted someone who could see what it had been and help us understand what it could be.”
Enter Belle Verstappen.
Known for her ability to design with emotional resonance rather than trends, Verstappen took on the project as her first full commission under her own name.
“I walked through the house once and knew,” she says. “This wasn’t a place that needed reinventing. It needed remembering.”
Quiet Luxury, Lived In
From the original tiled floors to the weathered beams overhead, every decision in the villa feels like it came from conversation — not just between client and designer, but between designer and space.
“I don’t like interrupting a house’s rhythm,” Verstappen explains. “I try to listen first. The textures, the light, the way a door creaks when it opens — it tells you what the house wants.”
That listening resulted in a home that whispers instead of shouts.
The plaster walls, finished in mineral-washed hues, shift color with the light. Custom shelves in the living room curve around the restored fireplace, filled with books and hand-thrown ceramics sourced from local artisans. The kitchen retains its original footprint but now hums with intentional design: a deep farmhouse sink set into hand-crafted cabinetry, limewashed walls, antique fixtures with softened patina.
Daniel, ever the aesthete, calls it “a masterclass in restraint.”
“There’s a version of this house that could’ve ended up looking like every other ‘minimalist Mediterranean’ villa,” he says. “But Belle didn’t impose a vision. She revealed one.”
The Courtyard, Reimagined
One of the home’s most striking spaces is the internal courtyard — once neglected, now transformed into what Jules calls “the soft heart of the house.”
“It’s quiet here,” he says. “Lavender, jasmine, the fig tree… it smells like memory.”
Verstappen kept the original stonework and introduced subtle landscaping: rosemary, thyme, and climbing vines that will age as gracefully as the walls themselves.
“It wasn’t about making it new,” she says. “It was about letting it grow.”
A Designer Coming Into Her Own
The villa marks a turning point for Verstappen — not just professionally, but personally.
“This was the first project I signed under my name,” she shares. “No firm. No studio initials. Just me.”
That transition wasn’t without weight.
“There’s a vulnerability in that,” she admits. “But this house gave me the courage. Jules and Daniel gave me the trust. And I think that’s what made the work stronger. It was personal — not just for them, but for me too.”
Designing for Emotion, Not Aesthetic
Verstappen’s work has been described as “emotional architecture” — a term she’s hesitant to claim, but doesn’t reject.
“I think we forget sometimes that homes aren’t just spaces. They hold grief, joy, ordinary Tuesdays,” she says. “My job is to make room for all of that — not just to make it pretty.”
Jules echoes the sentiment. “She didn’t just give us a home. She gave us a future. And somehow, it still feels like it’s always been ours.”
What’s Next?
With her studio growing and a child on the way (“I’ve learned more about fabric durability in the last six months than I thought possible,” she jokes), Verstappen’s approach remains the same: quiet, collaborative, deeply rooted in the human experience.
“Beauty is easy,” she says. “But meaning? That takes work. And it’s the kind of work I love.”
As she walks through the finished villa one last time — running her hand along the smooth curve of an old beam, checking the shadows that dance across a plastered wall — it’s clear:
This isn’t just a space someone lives in.
It’s a space that lives with them.

Meanwhile on Twitter:
@/f1wivesunite I just read the Belle Verstappen AD piece and now I want her to design my house, my life, my nervous system.
@/archiluxe “Not reinventing, but remembering” — I would tattoo this quote from Belle Verstappen’s AD profile if I wasn’t afraid of commitment.
@/softmaxv Belle Verstappen being like “I listen to how a door creaks” and then making a whole home feel like a hug??? she’s not an interior designer she’s a poet
@/formulawags this woman said “homes hold grief, joy, ordinary Tuesdays” and I have not known peace since. (also Max is 100% her Tuesday.)
@/tinygp can we talk about how Max Verstappen’s WIFE is out here dropping AD-level wisdom while pregnant and making rustic beams look emotionally resonant??? how is this fair
@/verstappenupdates AD: “This was the first project I signed under my name.” Me, sobbing: it’s HER name. HER name. HER studio. HER work. HER life. she really said ✨liberation✨
@/archdigestgirl i am OBSESSED with belle verstappen’s design philosophy like… “it didn’t need reinventing, it needed remembering”??? i’m crying over plaster walls. over limewash. over a giraffe lamp. help.
@/monacoliving when daniel moreau said the house “smells like memory”??? belle made a COURTYARD smell like a backstory. i want to live in her mind.
@/softf1defender Max: aggressive overtakes at 300km/h Belle: emotional architecture that holds grief and joy them: married me: sobbing
@/emotionalwallpaper if belle ever opens a retreat i will walk there barefoot and sleep on a reclaimed linen pouf
@/formulaicon the fact that she signs her projects Belle Verstappen and not Isabelle Leclerc… that’s not just a name. that’s a choice. and it’s saying something loud.
@/thegridwhispers it’s Belle Verstappen in Architectural Digest, not Isabelle Leclerc, and somewhere in Monaco a family group chat is vibrating with unspoken tension
@/gridgossipqueen MAX VERSTAPPEN JUST POSTED: “She sees space the way I see corners on the track. And she never misses.” SIR??????? ARE YOU A WORLD CHAMPION OR A POET????
@/chaoticgridwives the way he tagged her work account AND her personal one the way he said “very proud of my wife” like he’s been waiting his whole life to write that the way he wrote “she never misses” and MEANT IT 😭😭😭
@/tiregirlie MAX VERSTAPPEN POSTED HIS WIFE’S AD FEATURE AND SAID: "She sees space the way I see corners on the track. And she never misses." I AM CRYING IN IKEA
@/helmetedsoftie he said: 🏁 i win races 📐 she builds homes 🍼 we made a baby 👑 and you will deal with it
@/fernvillainera “she sees space the way I see corners” that’s not a compliment that’s a wedding vow
@/formulafloof max verstappen could’ve said “nice job babe” and kept it moving instead he gave us POETRY
@/artdigesttears she didn’t even mention the Leclercs once in the article. not even in the baby joke. not once. it’s all Belle, all Studio_B. she’s not hiding. she’s just her.
@/emiliestandclub "the first project I signed under my name." and the name she used was Belle Verstappen. we’ve left the era of being overlooked. she’s not asking for a seat at the table. she’s designing the table. and the courtyard. and the backsplash.
@/maxxxmode1 Max calling her Belle wasn’t just a pet name. it became her name. and now it’s on the cover of Architectural Digest. tell me that’s not poetry.
@/sogoodithurts her name isn’t “Isabelle Leclerc” in the byline it’s not “Studio Leclerc” it’s not “Leclerc Interiors” it’s Studio_B. Belle Verstappen. she’s no one’s shadow. she is the sun.
@/jardinarchitecture the way Architectural Digest didn’t even feel the need to footnote “née Leclerc”… it’s almost like her work introduced her, not her family. wild.
@/kartingwife calling it now: the Verstappen baby grows up and thinks his mom is more famous than his dad. and honestly? fair.
@/emotionalbabywatch i don’t care what they name the baby. i care that it’s going to be loved so deeply it won’t ever question if it’s enough. and honestly? that’s the real win.
@/turn1drama this child is going to be raised in a home that smells like jasmine, has hand-carved drawer pulls, and hears I love you more times in a day than Jos Verstappen said it in a decade evolution

Emilie: Okay. Okay. I made it to the second paragraph before crying. Not sniffling. Crying. Open-mouthed, full-body, you-did-it-you-beautiful-genius crying.
Emilie: You were always going to end up in AD. But Belle. You signed this one under your own name. You built something. You told a story. You made a house remember itself and made the whole world notice. I’m so proud I can’t even breathe.
Emilie: We are framing this article. We are putting it in the baby’s memory box. We are not normal about this. You hear me?
Belle: I’m crying now. Like. Properly.
Belle: I didn’t think anyone would actually read it, let alone feel it. I kept thinking… maybe it was too soft. Too quiet. Too much like me.
Belle: But you saw it. You always do.
Belle: Thank you for never letting me shrink. For every time you reminded me that being quiet wasn’t the same as being small. That I didn’t have to be loud to take up space.
Belle: I love you.

Victoria: UM. HELLO. EXCUSE ME.
Victoria: You absolute sneak. You’re just out here being the interior design oracle of Monaco and didn’t bother to mention that you’re in ARCHITECTURAL DIGEST??? Do you know what I was doing this morning?? Folding laundry. In sweatpants. Meanwhile, you’re making villas cry with emotion.
Victoria: That courtyard?? I nearly sobbed. That kitchen?? I want to move in and raise goats.
Victoria: You’re a masterpiece. I love you. Also I’m stealing that mineral-wash plaster idea. You can’t stop me.
Belle: I— You’re making me laugh and cry at the same time. Please stop being good at this.
Belle: I wasn’t trying to keep it secret. I just… I didn’t know if it would be worth making a fuss over.
Belle: But then I saw it. And it felt like me. Really me. And now you saying all this— It means more than I can explain.
Belle: Please steal the plaster. I’ll mix it for you myself. Love you too.

Text Messages: Belle Verstappen & Oscar Piastri
Oscar: I know absolutely nothing about interior design. Like, genuinely. I can barely hang a picture frame. (Which you know, because you rescued my apartment) But even I know that Architectural Digest is a huge deal. And I just wanted to say — I’m really, really proud of you. That house looked like something out of a movie, but it still felt like someone lived in it. Which is… I guess that’s the whole point. Anyway. You’re amazing. That’s all.
Oscar: (Also, the kitchen made me want to learn how to cook properly. Lily said that was the most unhinged thing I’ve ever said.)
Belle: Oscar Piastri. If you keep being this nice to me I’m going to have to name a backsplash after you.
Belle: “Piastri Grey.” Unassuming, unexpectedly elegant, slightly smug when the light hits it right.
Oscar: You joke, but if you ever name anything after me, I’ll brag about it in every driver briefing until they kick me out.
Belle: Duly noted. Also, just so you know — if you and Lily ever want help redoing your kitchen, I’m one unsolicited Pinterest board away from getting involved.
Belle: You’d have to promise not to burn water though.
Oscar: Deal. But only if I get to hang one (1) badly framed motivational quote in return.
Belle: Oscar. No.

Lando: OKAY WAIT Just read the AD feature. BELLE. HELLO???
Lando: That courtyard?? That kitchen??? That quote about doors creaking??? I didn’t know houses could be poetic. You’re a menace and I love you.
Lando: Also. Serious question. How do we feel about redoing my streaming room?
Lando: I’ll pay. I’ll bribe. I’ll cry. Name your price. Make it less “goblin tech dungeon” and more “mildly functional adult.” I deserve better lighting.
Belle: Lando. You have a racing simulator, multiple ikea bookcases filled with helmets and an apartment literally covered in fanart of yourself. Also a wall entirely dedicated to memorabilia that glows in the dark in your bedroom, according to Emilie.
Belle: Your apartment actively resists adulthood.
Belle: But yes. I accept your bribe. I’ve already got a mood board titled “cozy chaos with HDMI ports.”
Lando: YES. That’s all I needed. Do you think I could have a drawer that hides snacks?
Belle: Already planned it. Drawer under the desk. Cooled. Lined with felt. Accommodates two cans of Monster Energy Drinks, one packet of Haribo, and your shame.
Lando: You’re a genius.

Pascale Leclerc hadn’t planned to read it.
She had clicked the link out of idle curiosity, the way one might glance through someone else’s holiday photos—detached, polite, with low expectations. Maybe she had expected color palettes. Fabric swatches. A few nice sentences about Belle’s “eye for detail.” Something charming and delicate and softly insignificant.
What she hadn’t expected was prose that read like poetry. Or her daughter’s name—her married name—printed in serif font beneath the words “Interior Architect and Founder.”
She hadn’t expected paragraphs that quoted Belle with a kind of reverence. Clients speaking about trust. About transformation. About homes that held memory and meaning.
She hadn’t expected that her daughter—quiet, overlooked, always fading behind the noise of her brothers—could command the shape of a space so profoundly that the world would take notice.
By the second paragraph, Pascale had sat down. By the third, she had put her glasses on properly. By the fourth, her hand was over her mouth.
"She didn’t want to reinvent it. She wanted to remember it."
"The house gave me the courage."
"Homes hold grief, joy, ordinary Tuesdays."
It was all so Belle—soft, sharp, careful. A kind of invisible mastery woven between sentences and ceiling beams.
Pascale thought back to every time she had asked, "So what do you actually do?" and winced.
Because the answer had been there all along. And Pascale had never truly listened.
She hadn't realized this was more than a job. That Belle had a signature. A philosophy. A reputation. That people sought her out not because she was Max Verstappen’s wife or Charles Leclerc’s sister—but because she was herself.
Because she could walk into a tired old house and see the soul of it. Because she could make things feel like they remembered you.
Pascale read the last paragraph three times. This isn’t just a space someone lives in. It’s a space that lives with them.
She closed the tab slowly, the image of Belle’s hand skimming along an old beam still hovering in her mind.
For the first time in years, Pascale felt like she had to relearn her daughter. Not as an extension of the family. But as a woman with her own name, her own work, and a world she had built with her bare hands.

Belle: …yes?
Charles: As in THE Architectural Digest? As in like… that’s a big deal.

Franco: what is architectural digestion
Oscar: Digest. It’s like Vogue for rich houses.

Lando: And I, for one, welcome him.
Yuki: Can we all go live in the Provence house
Max: Get in line.

Max: YES. AND SHE’LL SOURCE YOU THE PERFECT STONES.
Charles: I didn’t even know she did that villa. She never said a word.
Max: Because she’s not an attention seeker like the rest of us. (She also said she didn’t want to be annoying about it… so I’m being annoying for her.)
Valtteri: You’re dangerously close to mailing us print subscriptions.
Max: Funny you mention that. Check your mail.
George: OH MY GOD MAX WHY DID YOU SEND ME THREE COPIES
Lewis: Honestly? She deserves all the noise. That piece was stunning. Tell her I said the kitchen design was sublime.
Franco: am I supposed to know what any of this means
Oscar: Just say “quiet luxury” and nod a lot.

“You’ve had quite a big month,” Camille said softly, looking at Belle. “Would you like to talk about what it felt like, having your work recognized like that?”
Belle hesitated. Then she shrugged, arms loosely folded. “It was… good.”
Camille smiled. “You don’t sound sure.”
“It was,” Belle repeated, quieter. “It meant something.”
Charles was the one who broke the silence.
“I didn’t even know you were in Architectural Digest,” he said, not accusing — just confused. “Why didn’t you tell us?”
Belle’s eyes flicked over to him. Then to Pascale, who was watching her carefully.
She inhaled slowly.
“Because,” she said, “you never took my work seriously.”
The words landed like a pin dropping in a cathedral.
“Lorenzo called it Pinterest, but expensive,” Belle said calmly, almost too calmly. “When I got my first real job offer, Arthur asked me if I was going to be installing throw pillows for a living.”
Arthur shifted uncomfortably in his seat. Lorenzo went very still.
“I studied Architecture at Sorbonne,” Belle continues, her voice still steady. “I studied for years. I interned, I worked for one of the best interior architecture firms Monaco has to offer. I built a studio from scratch. I made a name for myself. Quietly. Without any of you ever noticing.”
She looked at them then — really looked.
“And it was never as important as racing. Never as exciting. Never something you asked about unless it was to make fun of me for choosing beige.”
Charles looked gutted. Pascale was blinking quickly.
Lorenzo’s voice was low. “I don’t think I ever realized how much that hurt you.”
“I know,” Belle said. Not cruel — just tired. “Because I stopped trying to explain it a long time ago.”
There was a beat of silence.
Then Camille gently said, “It sounds like you protected something really important to you by keeping it private. Does that feel true?”
Belle nodded.
“I didn’t tell you about the article,” she said, “because I wanted to enjoy it without wondering if anyone would roll their eyes.”
Pascale finally spoke. “I’m sorry.”
It was soft. Raw. No justification. Just the words.
Belle didn’t reply right away.
But she didn’t look away either.
“I’m sorry,” Pascale said again, voice catching just slightly. “I didn’t know it made you feel that way.”
Belle didn’t flinch, but she also didn’t soften. Her hands were folded tightly in her lap.
“You didn’t ask,” she said.
That was the part that always hurt the most.
Camille let the silence linger for a moment. It was the kind of silence that wasn’t empty—just full of everything unspoken.
Then she looked at the others.
“Charles. Arthur. Lorenzo,” she said gently. “How does it feel to hear Belle say that?”
Arthur’s shoulders hunched slightly. “I think we just… thought you liked being in the background. You never made a big deal of your work.”
“I didn’t,” Belle said. “Because when I did, no one cared. So I stopped.”
Charles looked pale.
“I think I was waiting for you to prove it was real,” he admitted. “That you were serious about it.”
“I was serious about it,” Belle said, sharper now. “From the start. You just didn’t see it because it wasn’t your definition of ambition.”
Charles opened his mouth, then closed it again.
“I didn’t think it was nothing,” Lorenzo said finally, voice low. “I just… didn’t know how big it was. And I never asked, and I should have. That’s on me.”
Pascale looked stricken. “I don’t even remember saying those things,” she murmured. “But I believe you. And I’m sorry. You deserved better from me.”
Belle swallowed hard. Her voice was quieter now.
“It wasn’t just one thing. It was everything. No one asked about my first job. Or my first client. Or when I started my studio. You didn’t come to my graduation. You forgot my birthday.” Her voice cracked. “And now I’m in Architectural Digest, and it still doesn’t feel real because I keep expecting someone to say it’s not a big deal.”
Belle inhaled slowly. The air felt thick in her chest.
She glanced down at her hands, resting in her lap. Her engagement ring glinted against her skin. Her wedding band. Quiet things. Not loud like podiums or race wins or trophies. But real.
“Max and I met in a bar. We talked about one of my colleagues frothing at the mouth at the thought of designing an apartment for him, because they had heard that he was touring a penthouse. One of those ridiculous ones with views over the harbour.”
“A few weeks later, I got the call. Max bought that penthouse. He hired the firm I worked at and he demanded that I be the only architect allowed to work on it.”
She smiled faintly at the memory.
“He said he trusted me. He only wanted me working on it. Because I was brillant.”
Her eyes lifted, landing on Charles first, then Pascale.
“He didn’t mean, like, picking throw pillows. He meant everything. Design it. Build it. Choose the floors, the fixtures. Max could have hired any firm in the world. But he gave it to me—because he saw me. He trusted me. No credentials flashed. No résumé sent. I told him I had a vision, and he believed me.”
A long pause.
“No one in this room has ever believed in me like that.”
Pascale flinched like the words hit her square in the chest.
“I’m not saying that to be cruel,” Belle said gently. “But you should know it. I studied at Sorbonne. I interned in Paris. I worked twenty-hour days for years. I built a studio from scratch. But to you, it was always—Pinterest boards. Throw pillows. Expensive taste.”
She looked toward the window now, blinking fast. “Meanwhile, I built Max and me a home. A real one. I built a studio from scratch. And now my work is on the cover of Architectural Digest. And you’re all surprised.”
Her voice cracked, just slightly.
“You say you love me. But you’ve never asked what I love. What I do. Who I’ve become.”
Camille didn’t interrupt. No one did.
Pascale was crying now. Arthur stared at the carpet. Lorenzo looked hollowed out. Charles was stock still.
“Max saw me the moment I walked into that restaurant on our first date,” Belle whispered. “Not because I was his girlfriend. Not because I was a Leclerc. Just… me. He gave me a home to build. And he moved into it. Do you know what that meant to me?”
“It is a big deal,” Camille said softly. “And Belle, your pain is valid. And you’ve carried a lot of it alone.”
There were tears in Belle’s eyes now, but she didn’t let them fall.
“I wanted you to be proud of me,” she whispered. “And you weren’t. Not until everyone else was.”
Pascale reached for a tissue. “I’m sorry.”
She’s said it before — for missed birthdays, for things that slipped through the cracks. But this time, there’s something heavier underneath it. Not just regret, but realization.
Belle didn’t speak. Not yet.
But she didn’t look away either.
Camille waited a beat, then gently shifts the focus.
“Charles,” she said, “you look like you’re holding something. Would you like to say it?”
Charles exhales like he’s been underwater.
“I just—” He dragged a hand through his hair. “I didn’t know. I think I… assumed you were happy doing your little projects, and I didn’t ask more because—”
He stopped himself. Winced.
“Because you assumed they weren’t serious,” Belle finished for him, voice still quiet.
He nodded.
“I’m sorry,” he said. “Truly. I didn’t mean to make you feel invisible.”
“You didn’t mean to,” Belle echoed, “but you did.”
Charles flinched. “I know.”
Arthur, sitting beside him, suddenly said, “I always thought you were brilliant at it.”
Everyone turned.
Arthur shrugged, like it’s obvious. “I just didn’t say anything. Because I didn’t want to sound stupid.”
Belle blinked. “What?”
“You redesigned your entire apartment in Paris with like… two chairs and a string of lights. I remember visiting and thinking it felt like magic. Like it wasn’t just pretty — it fit you. I didn’t know how to say that.”
There’s a long silence.
Belle’s expression softened — just a little.
“I didn’t need you to say I was brilliant,” she said, “I just needed you to act like it mattered. That I mattered.”
Lorenzo finally spoke.
“You do.”
Belle gave him a long, tired look. “I’m just starting to believe that.”
Camille gently stepped in.
“I think what Belle’s saying is really important,” she said. “This isn’t about punishment or blame. It’s about being seen. About building a relationship where she doesn’t feel like she has to shrink herself just to be accepted.”
Pascale pressed a hand to her mouth, her eyes glassy.
Charles swallowed. “We want that,” he says. “I want that. I want to do better.”
Arthur nodded. “Me too.”
Lorenzo, steady as ever, added, “Me too.”
Camille offered Belle a soft, anchoring look. “Would you like to start with something small? Something they could do that might feel meaningful?”
“…Ask me about my work,” Belle said. “Not to be polite. Ask because you actually want to know.”
The others nodded. Pascale quietly murmured, “We will.”
Belle exhales, slow and shaky. But she nodded.
***
It was late.
The kind of late where the world felt like it had tipped sideways, quiet and slow. Rain tapped lightly against the windows of their bedroom, and Belle was curled into the pregnancy pillow that had taken over Max’s half of the bed. Her back ached, her ankles were swollen, and their son had been practicing karate for the last half hour — but somehow, the room still felt peaceful.
Max was beside her, propped up on one elbow, reading something on his iPad that he clearly wasn’t retaining.
Belle shifted slightly. “Max?”
He glanced down immediately, setting the iPad aside. “You okay?”
She nodded. “Just… thinking.”
Max didn’t say anything, just reached over and tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, waiting. He was good at that — at knowing when she needed silence instead of answers.
Belle exhaled. “There’s a name I keep coming back to.”
His brows lifted slightly, but he didn’t interrupt.
“I haven’t said it out loud yet. Not even to myself, really. But it’s been stuck in my head for weeks.”
Max tilted his head, gently curious. “What is it?”
She hesitated, heart thudding a little faster. “Emilian.”
There was a pause — a quiet, weighted pause — and then Max smiled. Not the bright, media-trained one. Not even the cheeky one she knew too well. Just soft. Surprised. Touched.
“My middle name,” he said.
“And Emilie,” Belle murmured. “Not on purpose. It just… happened that way. I didn’t mean to do that, I swear.”
Max’s smile grew. “You don’t have to justify it.”
“I thought I’d change my mind,” she admitted. “I kept thinking, ‘it’s too sentimental’ or ‘what if it’s weird’ or ‘what if he doesn’t like it’… but I keep circling back to it. Like orbiting. I don’t know why.”
Max leaned in and kissed the side of her forehead. “Belle. It’s a beautiful name.”
“I wasn’t trying to name him after you,” she said softly. “Or Emilie. Or anyone. I think I just… like the way it feels.”
Max ran a hand gently over the swell of her belly, feeling a fluttering kick beneath his palm. “Then maybe that’s why it’s right.”
Belle looked up at him, eyes shining. “You really don’t mind?”
He shook his head. “No. I think… I love it, actually.”
She blinked fast. “Yeah?”
“Yeah.” Max smiled again, then leaned down to press a kiss just above her belly button. “Hi, Emilian,” he whispered. “We’ve been waiting for you.”
Belle’s breath caught. Her hand found his, resting over their son, and she nodded slowly. “Then that’s his name.”
Max looked up at her with something close to awe. “We have a name.”
“We have a baby with a name,” Belle whispered, half in disbelief.
And in the quiet, with the rain still falling and their son kicking lightly in response, Belle finally let herself feel it fully — that he was coming. That she was ready. That Emilian was already loved.

⊹ ! ೀ Pile 1 ꒱
So, I wanted to see their pros and cons in relationship with you but I’m picking up on before the two of you get together here. I’ll just be pulling more cards to understand everything. Do you have a tendency towards possessiveness? Your future spouse is going to be highly capable of handling that. They’re going to be very communicative and quick to dissolve such issues by resolving them. You’ll receive quick communication from them often because they’ll know just how insecure you can get. They’re going to have a crush on you but will be quite shy when it comes to you. It’s like, they’ll be unable to process or express their feelings which is going to cause for the potential of the connection to not manifest initially but they’ll have a very innocent crush on you. They’re going to have similar childhood wounds to you or even if they’re not going to be similar, the triggers may be similar causing for a connection to come about naturally. Also, they’re going to be very good at manipulating you but not maliciously, it’s like, they’ll know the best way to get you triggered for you to activate and live out your potential, and you’re going to have a pretty good read on them so you’ll know what they’re trying to do but they’ll know how to make it come off unintentional and you’ll just let them get the benefit of the doubt xD. They’re going to be processing an ending at the time that you’ll meet them so they’re going to be scared of the unknown. I’m picking up on genuine wounds from them. You will enter their life in this time and they’re going to be a bit sensitive, and vulnerable at the time so it is going to be especially triggering for them to feel affection towards you because it will activate their childhood issues and more innocent, and delicate wounds making them even more sensitive and vulnerable.
So, they’re going to be scared of the unknown. They’ll be fearing the crossroads or struggling to make a decision due to the fear of pain as well because they’ll not yet have properly healed from past hurt as it is. They’re going to feel a strong tension with you and will have the ability to understand, and connect with you very soulfully. Like, you know those people who just get you on a psychic level? That’s how they’ll be with you but oddly enough, they’ll not be able to understand what exactly is coming through to them about you and you’ll remain a mystery to them. They’ll have their set of insecurities, worries and pain as we know by now but I’m picking up on the same energy from you too. For some of you, maybe they’ll not be the one who will have gone through everything mentioned above but you, but since I’m picking up on a shyness and fear of the unknown, and holding back from them. I believe that it will be mutual for many of you. You may be going through an ending or you may have not gotten over a past ending that caused you a lot of pain so you may be quite fearful of the future too and closed off to them due to your own wounds, and insecurities but it will be because of how vulnerable you’ll be feeling and how you’ll be worried about getting manipulated because you will be able to pick up on their manipulative tendencies, and how convincing they can be. Mostly, they’ll try out different techniques to help you so you’re going to give them the benefit of the doubt despite any resistance. When it comes to cons, you might remain friends for quite a while. Maybe because you’ll start off as acquaintances and friends, you’re both going to friend zone each other or they might friend zone you first, or you might feel as though they are doing so.
I find it so funny because ‘shy’ by Jai Waetford is the song that is coming through. They might not make much effort to spend time alone so despite the potential, you might feel like they’re a bit out of reach especially because they might come off very present. They’re going to seem present when they’ll be interacting with you but you’re going to feel like you’re getting mixed feelings from them. “Do they like me? Do they not like me?” Is the energy that I’m getting here. They might be a very busy person juggling a lot of responsibilities so you might not even bother them and for some of you, they’re going to have to make a choice because they might give too much priority to work and might not want a commitment yet or might not be ready for it or might literally have another love interest. You cannot stand feeling like an option so that is likely only going to slow down the process of things and make you more closed off to them but they’re going to feel really whole with you, as if they belong with you. If there is in fact, another person involved, I don’t think that their feelings for them would be even a quarter of the feelings that they’ll have for you but they’re going to have to awaken first, make a choice, judge things properly, choose to belong to you, choose to connect to you and that may take some time. You’re going to have the ability to have similar values but it’s like, you’ll also not. Due to timing, they’ll contradict and oppose your values, and you’ll not like that. You’re going to doubt your compatibility and values, and that will only make commitment harder. It’s like, despite the connection that you’ll share, you’ll rarely be on the same wavelength.
When you’ll want to talk to them, they might not want to do so, when they’ll want to talk to you, you may be in a bad mood, when you’ll want commitment because you’ll feel strongly towards them despite any fears, they might be unable to give you that and when they do want a commitment, and are choosing you wholeheartedly and are willing to take accountability, learn, and do better, you might be close to fully convinced that your values are too different and that you’re not compatible so you may not want commitment. I’ll start with their pros once you’re in a committed relationship with each other. They’re going to feel like they don’t belong anywhere. Like, even if they’re grateful to people for being there, they won’t feel that genuine, heartfelt, warm, familiar and family-like connection with them but they’ll do so with you so they’ll greatly value you. “My heart is not here without you (it’s no fun without you here), I can’t live without you.” They’re going to feel like home to you and they’ll feel at home with you. They’re going to need alone time but might overthink, create limiting beliefs, feel powerless and just overall struggle with negative thinking, and when they might take alone time, sometimes you might overthink but even when they’re alone or/and resting, they’re constantly going to be thinking about you. I’m getting that you’ll be the first person who they’ll think of when they wake up in the morning and the last person who they’ll think of before they go to sleep. They’re going to understand your sensitivity and will be extremely empathetic, and loving so they’ll create a very beautiful and loving relationship with you in which you’ll both feel really whole.
They’re going to feel strongly towards you and will support you heavily. They’re going to be contemplative and might spend alone time thinking about you so that they can do what’s best for you, and guide you. They’re also going to have many wonderful insights and thoughts. They’re going to create a very abundant relationship for you, one in which you can feel safe and happy, and free enough to share your fears, sensitivities and truly, and deeply love. When it comes to their cons, let’s just say that their charm won’t magically disappear so there will often be third party situations even though, they won’t be unfaithful. So, I’ve been getting this for a while now but they’re going to possess great communication skills and their vocabulary might be really good, and they’re going to be a real charmer. They’ll have incredible leadership abilities and that is going to cause others to feel a certain heat around them, it’s going to cause them to feel attracted to your spouse and that’s going to be a source of stress, and overthinking for you. They’re a very passionate person and with that comes impulsivity but they’re going to honour you as their divine counterpart so they’re not going to get engaged in or let any passion grow towards anyone else. They’re going to be very action oriented, a go getter and well admired so they’re going to receive tons of romantic attention but they’ll not feel passion towards anyone else, and they’ll have tons of integrity and will be too busy talk to anyone enough for things to grow as well.
They’re not going to change so they might give off the wrong impression by seeming open and curious to others. There’s a certain level of playfulness that I’m picking up on but it seems to be very innocent. They genuinely won’t be intending for things to be taken any other way. They’re going to seem very present to the people around them so others will develop feelings for them and might misunderstand things. It’s funny because most of them are going to be very ambitious so it may be difficult for them to give you time at times. They’ll have a lot of love for you but they’re going to be very busy as a person. Even so, some of them, they’ll tire themself out with work or still trying to manage and maintain the relationship properly so they’re going to contemplate things a lot, and might struggle with resting and might be forced into it. Another thing that I’m picking up on is that if it’s work that burns them out, they might feel really vulnerable, contemplative, overwhelmed yet apathetic about not being able to give you time. They’re also going to be very dominating, will crave truth and communication at all times, and will want to lead the relationship so that might lead to clashes but I still feel like they’ll do a really good job with it. Another thing is that they might demand clarification if you’re too busy or were too busy and you might not like it. I hope that you liked the reading. Thank you so much for reading, much love and take care.
⊹ ! ೀ Pile 2 ꒱
So, I decided to pull ten cards each for the pros and cons in sets of five each, and guess what? For the pros, two of the same cards came out in the same position as they did previously i.e. the second and third card out of five cards. You might be the type to stress and get so paranoid that you genuinely start believing that your fears are true even if logically, you’re aware that they aren’t. One such fear and belief that you seem to possess is that your partner might not be over their past, might not have moved on from it. I’m not sure if you think this way already but you will in the future when you’re with your spouse and they’re going to alleviate your worries by reassuring you that that’s not true, and that they’re completely over their past. They’re not going to be blindly romantic. Some people are so in love with love that they become blind in it and do not really know how to love for real due to over romanticism but they’re going to be different. They’re going to believe in equal give and take in relationships, and will be incredibly service oriented. I’m getting that they’ll have been of service to people in the past and will have been on the giving end, receiving nothing at all so they will have developed deep trauma themself, they’ll have been paranoid too and might still be, and will just deal with fears, beliefs and thoughts that they’ll genuinely feel to be true but they’re going to want to heal this side of themself for you, and the betterment of your relationship.
They’re going to be seeking true peace by releasing negative thoughts, beliefs, feelings and habits. Due to how service oriented they’ll be, they’ll want to be with a giver who they can give to wholeheartedly with a feeling of safety. They’re going to not want to have to question the genuineness, feelings and love of the other person, and the connection that they share/shared with their significant other due to how they’re always giving, giving, giving without receiving anything for themself. It’s not even about receiving for them, it’s about the principle of it. Like, “this person is willing to and trying to do this for me, they might love me after all” and that causes them to feel safe enough to give as well, you know? Another thing is that because they don’t go around getting romantically involved with just anyone, they’re going to be incredibly obsessive when in love with you. Some people are charming and flirty, and know how to make their sweet and flirty words sound genuine but your future spouse is not going to be like that. Some of you might doubt the genuineness of their words but they’ll mean a lot of what they’ll say. Obviously, you’ll share sweet nothings where you might ask them something ridiculous like “would you still love me if I was a worm?” And they might say yes even though if you actually were a worm, they’d probably walk from on top of you, crushing you with the weight of their shoes with no awareness of it at all xD.
So, something like that, they’ll not mean but when they say something like “I’d die for you”, “I’d live for you”, “I’d kill for you” and “I’d do anything for you.” They will actually mean it. You’re going to pretty much consume them, they’re going to be addicted to you. I’m picking up on that Camila Cabello song ‘never be the same’. I’m especially picking up on the part that goes “just like nicotine, heroine, morphine. Suddenly, I’m a fein and you’re all I need, all I need. Yeah, you’re all I need. It’s you babe and I’m a sucker for the way that you move babe, and I could try to run but it would be useless. You’re to blame, just one hit of you. I knew I’ll never, ever, ever be the same.” Another part that I’m picking up on is “you’re in my blood, you’re in my veins, you’re in my head.” They’re going to be a passionate person and will feel passionately towards you. I’m getting that the both of you will maintain really good physical connections in which they’ll be really cooperative with you. They’re going to teach you things, in the bedroom and outside it, and are also going to learn from and about you so that they can experience your physical connection at the highest, and most passionate form possible. They do have a tendency towards moodiness though but I feel like you’d like it because it came out in the pros section. Maybe, they’ll be the sulky kind of moody or maybe you’ll also be moody.
They’ll be able to handle your moodiness due to their own tendency towards it. They’re going to be a fair and respectable person because they’ll be very respectful, and will treat people equally. I’m getting them being kind and of service in general, not just towards you, and that’s a pro because that means that it’s a character trait of theirs. Some of you sometimes think that you’re moody, intense, overthink and that you would overwhelm your romantic partner but you won’t have to worry about that with them because they’ll not just leave you. They’ll have a strong sense of direction for the relationship and will want to make it work as much as possible, and they’re going to be driven to put in the work. They’ll also be action oriented and a go getter in life itself, they’re going to have goals that they actively work on pursuing and their sense of direction, and drive is going to influence you to be the same way. They’ll teach you a lot but will also be willing and consciously look to learn from others, experiences, feelings, and situations. Their humility, drive, passion, attachment and love for you, willingness to do, willingness to learn, and ability to teach, all of it is going to be something that you greatly respect and admire them for. When it comes to cons, they’re going to really complex. They’re going to love you a lot and will be possessive of you. They’re going to be intensely in love with you and will be obsessed, attached, and addicted to you so they’ll want to be around all the time.
When they will feel jealous and possessive, they’ll become moody and guarded or moody, and clingy and usually the former will lead to the latter. They’re also going to contemplate a bit and will feel really dissatisfied, questioning the relationship, and if the intensity, love and loyalty is just one sided. The possessiveness will be very intense from their side and possibly from both sides. They’re going to know that they can’t control you but they’ll want to keep you hidden away from the world so that no one can look at what’s theirs. Obviously they won’t do it (hopefully not) but the feeling of possessiveness is going to be THAT intense. They may feel insecure about the stability of the relationship and the family, love, and stability you share if you receive any external attention at all so that is going to be a point of tension but it’s just that they’re going to be very happy and satisfied with you, and will simply just want you to feel the same way about them and your relationship with them. They’re going to be yours, completely and so, they’ll fear that you might not be as committed and devoted to them on a very soulful, and deep level. It is not just “I’m committed to you so I’ll not do anything to sabotage it” kind of commitment that they’ll want from you but the kind in which you’re completely inaccessible to others. They won’t want you to isolate yourself but if you’re in a heterosexual relationship and they’re the man.
They’ll want you to be friends with just women and not even let other men breathe near you. It is not toxic though. Like, I’m not sure how to explain it but they need to be the one and only because they want to devote themself to their spouse the same way, making them the one and only. “Other women? Who are they? Why would I interact with them? I belong to only one woman in every way.” They will not want a simple committed relationship, they will want a deeply devotional one in which there is a very apparent distance between you and other men, and you do not intend to close that distance because you fully belong to them and do not wander at all or even feel the need to have guy friends. Many of them will not mind male acquaintances as long as nothing flirty happens but if something even casually flirty happens, it is going to wound them deeply. People might often misunderstand them due to how intense they are and how deeply they love. Possessiveness and jealousy are really pure emotions, they come from a very pure place but instead of trying to understand that they want to find the space to devote themself to one person and one person only, people might write them off as toxic and possessive because they want the same for themself so it is coming through as a con. I hope that you liked the reading. Thank you so much for reading, much love and take care.
⊹ ! ೀ Pile 3 ꒱
Your future spouse is not going to be too stuck in a routine or will make it flexible for you. They’re doing to feel like they belong with you and you’re going to feel the same way. They’ll create a safe and happy environment for you in which you feel supported because they’ll care about you deeply. Your relationship is giving off the energy of a devoted knight and a queen. You’re going to be their dream come true and they’re going to be genuinely happy in your relationship. They will be accepting of your differences and will be keen on making it as beautiful as they can. They’re going to enjoy being around you so much that they may break their routine to come and see you or might come, and see you even if they’re tired from working. There’s a big emphasis on quality time here. You know, when a queen asks for a knight to show up, he will show up in her court so when you’ll ask for them to show up, they’ll do so too (if they can). Also, acts of service. They’re going to do things for you without any proper routine. They’ll just do it even if the timing is off. For example, if you are pregnant and ask for them to bring you something at midnight. If you’re able to wake them up, they’ll get up and get it for you even if all they want is to be able to fall in the soft, warm bed, and drift off to dreamland. Basically, they’ll be at your service at all times. They’re also going to be quite observant and curious as a person. They’ll ask questions or observe situations and people closely as they will be keen on learning, not just from you.
They’re going to be mentally stimulating and will have their talkative moments that will strengthen your bond through strengthening of the mental connection. They’re going to see you as a grounded and mature person who’s also friendly, generous, and has a big aura but they’ll see that you are sensitive and struggle emotionally at times so they’ll deal with your emotions in a compassionate manner. You’re going to be a very loving and empathetic person, and will be able to suppress your emotions really well a lot of the times but when it gets too much, your raw side is going to come out and they’re going to try to tame it with love, empathy, and compassion. They’re going to have a lot of hope for the connection but they’re going to be putting you on a pedestal. It keeps on coming through that you’ll be their dream girl/dream guy or whatever. They’re going to have a lot of appreciation for the sides of you that are visible after you’ve stripped off i.e. when you’re vulnerably yourself and literally naked. They’re going to love your body in all its glory with nothing on. They’ll make you feel like a dream because that’s what you’ll be to them - a muse. “Cards on the table, we’re both showing hearts. Risking it all though it’s hard.” ‘All of me’ by John Legend. Even if they don’t create anything, you’re still going to be their muse. They’re going to try not to be egoistic and will avoid conflicts, will be very forgiving, and will try to make amends with situations. They’ll also be remorseful if they act egoistic at any point.
They’re going to want to create a space for you in which you don’t have to change yourself i.e. a space in which you still thrive, a space in which you’re still grounded, generous and warm, and don’t have to dim your light. They’re not going to be a stranger to heartache and sorrow. They’ll genuinely be worried about losing you. In the past, they could have been negatively affected by someone else’s decisions so that is going to be something that will have left wounds. They’re also going to feel remorseful, guilty and sad if they make you feel sad :,). Another thing is that, they might look through your phone or overhear something about you and someone else at some point during your relationship or/and marriage, and that could make them question the solidness of the relationship, causing sorrow. There could be someone that seems to be attracted to you so they might be worried that you could be attracted to them too, that you could feel more happy with them, that they might bring out a more happy and vibrant side of you or that you might impulsively do something with them, or even if you don’t, you could be suppressing the desire to. So they’ll feel sad about that. Now, onto the cons, they’re going to be delusional. What seems to be happening here is that they’re going to become controlling when they’re confused and genuinely believe that someone wants you when this someone talks to you a certain way or texts you. They’re going to lose their mind and will become very ruthless when such things happen.
They see you as someone with a lot of potential, someone who’s at the top and someone who everyone wants so they’re genuinely going to believe everyone wants you so they’ll get defensive due to confusion or because they’ll believe that you might not choose them. Actually no, they will want to be the only one, they’ll be mad that you even have another option. Even they themself will have many options so even they’ll have to choose between the potential to feel like the only one and their loyalty to you. They’ll love you but they’re going to be non confrontational and may not communicate until they absolutely cannot handle it anymore, and communicate in an overwhelming and aggressive manner. They’re instead going to contemplate, get nostalgic about old days, feel dissatisfied, might get distant, will have a negative focus and will feel bored, and apathetic too. They’re going to be really worried about the breach of contract, breach of fairness and loyalty so they might end up acting out in unfair ways themself. This can be avoided if you do everything in order to reassure them. They are going to need to feel like the only one. A monogamous relationship with complete devotion is very important to them and they’re going to be able to maintain it but if they feel like the relationship is not living up to their dream and ideal of monogamy, love, and devotion, they will start questioning everything. They’re genuinely going to believe that everyone wants you so that’s going to be a point of tension too because they’ll get jealous. I hope that you liked the reading. Thank you so much for reading, much love and take care.

Red Jersey
Pairing: Paige Bueckers x Azzi Fudd
One shot
Warning: MDNI, Possessive!P, Mild dom/sub dynamics
A/N: This started out as a cute little post-game one-shot I drafted after the match… then I went to work, came back, and rewrote it into whatever this is now. I will now be closing my laptop and pretending this never happened, okay? We don’t talk about it.
But in my defense, I did promise to deliver something if P dropped 20. Next time I’m betting on 25+
Word Count: 4k words
Azzi Fudd was in big fucking trouble.
Not the catastrophic, relationship-on-the-line kind of trouble. More the you knew what you were doing and now you’re dealing with the consequences kind. The kind of trouble where your girlfriend doesn’t raise her voice, doesn’t throw a fit, she just misses three open layups in the first half of a game she should be dominating and avoids eye contact the whole time.
That kind of trouble stung, because it meant Paige was actually upset. And Azzi couldn’t even say she hadn’t earned it.
It had started with the post. Their hard launch, yesterday. Paige had known it was coming, they’d even laughed about the case together when it arrived in the mail. She’d said Azzi could post it whenever she felt ready. Azzi had felt ready. Paige, apparently, had felt… too busy to react.
Sure, they had agreed Azzi would be the one to go public first, to slowly place the signs for their fans. But she hadn’t expected complete silence from her girlfriend. No like, no repost, not even their pink heart emoji. Just…nothing.
And that silence? It annoyed the hell out of her.
And she knew it was stupid. She knew Paige was barely online these days. She knew that one like didn’t matter when her girlfriend made sure she woke up to a good morning text every single day, and treated her like a princess whenever they were together. But still, Azzi liked to be claimed. In every way possible.
So yeah, maybe Azzi was feeling a little petty when she showed up to the Wings-Mystics game today.
Her hair was still perfect from the event she’d been at the day before. Her natural makeup hit just right. She even pulled on the jeans Paige loved and decided on a cropped white UConn shirt that left just enough abs and her piercing peeking out. She looked good. Hot, even. First official WAG game and she was showing up for it.
But when she was greeted by Georgia Amoore instead of her own girlfriend first, with a cheeky grin and a "You want this?" Azzi caught the jersey, smiled, and pulled it on right over her tank top without missing a beat.
Okay, maybe she paused for a second. But only because she knew Paige would be annoyed. Her girlfriend was way too possessive for this kind of shit.
Which made her do it anyway.
She’d barely been sitting for a few minutes, casually chatting with the girl next to her, when she saw them. Or more accurately, felt it first. The stare.
When she looked up, Paige and Arike were jogging toward the sideline for warmups. Paige wasn’t even trying to hide the glare. Azzi met her eyes across the court and raised her brows, all faux innocence, like what? Someone else gave it to me.
She didn’t expect Paige to actually come over to her side of the court. But she did.
With Arike flanking her, both of them bouncing the balls casually as they strolled toward Azzi’s section like they had no other place to be. Paige didn’t say anything right away. She just gave her that look. The one that said
You think you are funny, huh?
"Interesting jersey choice," Arike said with a sly grin, clearly enjoying the drama way too much.
"Georgia said she didn’t want it getting wrinkled on the bench," Azzi shot back smoothly. "I’m just doing her a favor."
"Mhm," Paige murmured, eyes flicking up and down slowly. "Bet she appreciated that."
Azzi tilted her head, playful. "Bet you noticed."
That earned her a look. Paige didn’t respond though,—just turned back to warm up again with Arike, glancing over at Azzi every once in a while before shaking her head. Each time, Azzi just smiled back sweetly, all charm and no remorse.
Now it was halftime, and Azzi sat very still in her seat, Georgia’s red jersey still on, and maybe regretting everything, just a little.
Paige had gone 1-for-6 in the second quarter alone. She’d gotten beat on defense twice, once by Citron, and passed up an open three just to dish to Smith, who wasn’t even ready for it. It was a turnover.
It was bad, like noticeably bad. The kind of bad that made sports Twitter start asking if something was wrong.
Azzi chewed the inside of her cheek, eyes fixed on the Wings bench. Paige was pacing in front of the seats, towel draped over her shoulders, head down. She wasn’t even pretending to be composed anymore. Nalyssa tried to say something to her. Paige just nodded and looked up, directly at Azzi. And Azzi… flinched.
Shit.
This wasn’t what she meant to do. This was supposed to be fun.
Azzi thought she’d fire Paige up. That it’d get her locked in. She thought Paige would come out swinging, torch the Mystics for daring to even flirt with the idea of taking what was hers. She thought Paige would have the kind of game where she dropped 25 just to spite the Mystics, the kind of night that ended with her backing Azzi against the door as soon as they got to the hotel room and saying mine in every possible way.
That was what Azzi had expected. A little fuel. A little bite.
Not throwing off her game. Not making her doubt everything.
Azzi tugged at the collar of the jersey, suddenly very aware of how obvious it was. Bright red. Amoore #8.
Cute… if you weren’t Paige Bueckers watching your girlfriend flaunt someone else’s name across her chest less than 24 hours after hard launching your relationship.
She chewed her lip as the players made their way into the tunnel. Paige didn’t look up once. Not toward the bench. Not toward the crowd. Certainly not toward Azzi.
Azzi had wanted a reaction. Just… not this one.
This wasn’t the fun kind of jealousy. This wasn’t Paige rising to the moment and proving a point. This was Paige shutting down, overthinking, spiraling, playing like she was stuck in her own head.
And Azzi, still stubborn, still too proud to admit it out loud, was starting to realize that maybe she’d misjudged the line between teasing and testing.
She slouched lower in her seat, elbow on the armrest, chin buried in her palm.
She decided to open the group chat. UConn Huskies 💙💍.
It had been buzzing with activity all game, mostly with playful jabs and updates. A few GIFs. Some exaggerated "OOPS" messages after Paige’s third turnover. Classic KK.
Azzi didn’t even want to scroll down to see the vote percentages. She knew what option was winning. Judging by Jana’s flame emojis and Sarah’s unhelpful "👀👀👀," her teammates were thriving off this chaos.
And then there it was:
KK: "New poll: What should Azzi do to fix being a dick and wearing the enemy’s jersey?"
Option 1: Beg for forgiveness after the game.
Option 2: Buy new shoes for lil Paigey.
Option 3: Put on that lingerie she packed and wait in the hotel room for Big Daddy Bueckers.
She exhaled, thumb hovering over the keyboard. Do I defend myself?
The silence lasted maybe thirty seconds. Then the floodgates opened.
Finally, she typed:
Azzi: Okay but… do you guys actually think she’s mad at me?
The words hit her like a slap. And suddenly, all the teasing and jersey-stunting didn’t feel worth it. Not if Paige was hurt. Not if she was second-guessing herself. Not if Azzi did that.
Sarh: Girl.
Morgan: She is mad.
KK: I’d be mad. I am mad. You look like you are repping Georgia like y’all go way back 😭
Caroline: Azzi, you literally hard launched yesterday and then pulled the most passive aggressive side chick stunt of all time 💀
Sarah: Also. She missed a layup which she almost never does. What do you think?"
She stared at her phone, jaw tight. No more playing it cool. She had to fix this.
She opened Paige’s contact, stared at the empty message window, hen finally typed:
Babe, are you ok?
Read, almost Immediately.
But nothing else. No bubble. Just that quiet little confirmation that Paige saw it, and still wasn’t ready to say anything back.
Azzi’s chest tightened. She glanced to make sure her dad wasn’t watching, took a breath, and typed the kind of message that might break through. The kind that usually worked when normal words weren’t enough. The kind that brought Possessive Paige out of hiding.
It was her asking for a second chance in Paige’s language.
Can you please come out and show them why, even if I wear someone else’s name on my back right now, I only ever moan yours when we get home?
Remind me who I belong to. I’ll be good for you when you do. Promise.
She hit send and was ready to see the effect.
Azzi sat on edge the entire second half—barely blinking, barely breathing—silently praying Paige would settle in. The arena was loud, tense, alive with every possession, but all Azzi could hear was her pulse hammering in her ears. Her hands were clenched in her lap, fingers curled tight in the hem of Georgia’s jersey. She hadn’t sent another message after that last one—but she didn’t need to.
Because Paige had read it. And now Paige was responding.
It wasn’t smooth. It wasn’t pretty. She was getting double-teamed off the inbound, blitzed every time she touched the ball, and still not getting much help. But she was fighting. Hard. Every floater came with a shoulder dipped through contact. Every pass was threaded like a dare. Every drive ended with her hitting the floor and popping back up like it just fueled her.
Azzi didn’t move. She just watched.
By the final stretch, Paige had clawed her way to 13 points. And then, with just seconds left in regulation, she pulled off a screen and hit a cold-blooded three to tie the game and send it to overtime.
Azzi shot up before the ball even dropped through the net, hands in the air, mouth wide, screaming without thinking. Pride surged through her like a flood. She was full of relief and awe and love. This was her girl.
And then Paige turned. She didn’t look at her teammates. She didn’t even glance at the bench. She looked straight at Azzi.
Their eyes locked across the chaos, and Azzi’s whole body went still. Paige didn’t smile. Didn’t smirk. She just stared, held her there, then lifted her hand and pointed. One deliberate motion, right at her chest. Right at the red jersey.
You are mine.
Azzi’s heart stuttered so violently it nearly made her dizzy. Paige’s eyes burned into her with a promise so sharp it almost hurt. It said, You wanted a reaction? You got it. Now get ready for what’s coming.
Azzi looked down and suddenly couldn’t stand the feel of the jersey she was wearing. The red. The number 8. The smug little game she thought she’d been playing. It felt like wearing someone else’s skin.
Her fingers flew to the hem and yanked it over her head, not caring who saw, not thinking about the cameras or Georgia or anyone else. She folded it once, maybe out of guilt, maybe just habit, and set it down behind her on the seat like it was something she no longer had permission to wear.
Azzi froze in place, heart stuttering. She didn’t even realize she was still wearing the red jersey until she looked down and suddenly hated it all over again. Her fingers yanked at the hem and she pulled it over her head like it was on fire, not caring if the arena cameras caught it or if Georgia saw. She couldn’t keep it on anymore.
When she looked up again, Paige was mid-huddle, sweat slick on her skin, hair damp, jaw tight but her eyes were still on Azzi. She’d seen the jersey come off. Of course she had. She was waiting for it.
And now she looked at Azzi like she was taking inventory. Her eyes dragged over Azzi’s now-bare shoulders, her fitted white UConn crop top, the deep rise and fall of her chest as she tried to catch her breath. And then, so subtle it almost didn’t register, Paige nodded.
It wasn’t a "thank-you" or a "you’re off the hook" nod.
No.
It was more of a a good girl nod. A that’s more like it nod. A you’re-in-so-much-trouble-later-and-I-hope-you-know-it nod.
Azzi sank back into her seat, suddenly hyper aware of every part of her body. Her pulse raced, her throat dry, her skin flushed with heat that had nothing to do with the arena lights. It was anticipation, pure want. The dizzy, sweet ache of having poked the wrong version of the bear and realizing, too late, that the bear liked being poked.
She tried to steady her breathing, tried to look composed, but she already knew.
She was in trouble. The kind of trouble that would show up in slow drips of sweat down the back of her thighs later, with Paige hovering over her until Azzi was begging for release.
And god, she deserved every second of it.
Overtime didn’t go how Azzi had hoped.
It started well enough. Paige hit a tough two right off the jump, then James came up with a steal and fed her for another clean finish at the rim. The Wings had momentum, briefly. But as always, without structure, without support, it crumbled fast. Missed switches, bad spacing, no real plan. And even Paige, locked in and pushing through, couldn’t hold the whole team together on her own.
Still, she fought. She always did. And she still finished with 20 points. Came damn close to a triple-double  through sheer willpower alone. She didn’t quit. She just ran out of hands.
The crowd emptied quickly after the final buzzer. People were already halfway to the parking lot by the time Azzi stood from her seat. Paige stayed behind, as always. She signed every poster, took every selfie with the kids pressed against the railing, even as her body sagged a little under the weight of the loss. Her smile was tired, but it was still there. Her shoulders tense, but still straight. That was Paige. Win or lose, she showed up.
Azzi watched all of it from courtside, the red jersey balled up in her hand now. It didn’t feel like a statement anymore, just a mistake she was ready to be rid of.
She made her way across the court toward Georgia, who was still near the bench, smirking like she’d just watched a live drama unfold and maybe enjoyed it a little too much.
"Thanks for the loan," Azzi said lightly, holding it out.
Georgia accepted it with a grin and a quick once-over that lingered a beat too long. "Anytime," she said, flicking her gaze over Azzi’s shoulder, straight toward Paige, who was still watching. Still tracking. "Though I gotta say... it looked better on you than it ever did on me."
Azzi didn’t dignify that with anything more than a tight smile, already turning away.
She lingered by the baseline with Lili and Amari, pretending to laugh, letting the noise of the court fade around her. She didn’t check her phone. She didn’t need to. She knew Paige would come to her.
And she did.
Azzi felt it before she saw it and then an arm wrapped around her from behind, firm and familiar, dragging her a step off balance.
Azzi didn’t resist. Her body fell into Paige’s without hesitation, like it had been waiting for permission. Her shoulder pressed under Paige’s jaw, her back tucked tight against her chest, and for a second, she just stood there. Breathing, absorbing.
Paige smelled like heat and sweat and the same damn perfume Azzi had been sleeping in when she missed her too much. She hadn’t realized how much she missed this, Paige’s weight on her, the sense of being held intentionally, not just lovingly but fully possessed.
And Paige? She didn’t say hello. She didn’t ask. She just held her there, one hand gripping her waist, the other resting low on her hip, fingers splayed like a warning sign to anyone watching.
Mine.
Then Paige looked down at her with that maddeningly smug smile. "You really think you can wear someone else’s name on your back and not answer for it?"
Azzi blinked up at her, breath stuttering. "I thought it would get you fired up," she admitted. "That you’d…y’know, prove a point. On the court."
"Oh, I did," Paige murmured, eyes unblinking. "And now I’m going to prove the rest of it. Not here. Not in front of all these people. But you are going to pay for it."
Azzi swallowed. Her entire body responded to that tone, it was low and clipped. The kind of tone that promised she’d be lucky to walk straight tomorrow.
"I mean," she tried to deflect, voice lighter, "you’ve definitely made your point already…"
Paige didn’t even blink. "No. That was the warm-up."
Before Azzi could say another word, a voice behind them groaned dramatically.
"Oh my god. You two still lookl disgustingly obsessed with each other. Nothing’s changed."
Paige didn’t flinch. Didn’t even look away.
"Disgusting and exclusive," she said coolly, her voice dropping to a murmur as she leaned down, close enough that only Azzi could hear the rest. "And territorial as hell. Keep that in mind when I have you face-down tonight."
Azzi’s breath caught. Her heart forgot how to beat. Paige straightened like nothing had happened, throwing a casual wave toward a passing staffer.
Azzi just stood there, blinking like she'd been hit by a truck. One that smelled like sweat and victory and consequences.
She’d pushed. Paige had pulled.
And now she was in so much trouble. And she loved every second of it.
By the time they finally started heading out, the arena was almost entirely empty besides the staff cleaning up. Azzi had Paige’s gym bag slung over one shoulder, ignoring the way Paige kept glancing down at it with an expression that practically screamed give it to me. But Azzi just shook her head.
"No," Azzi said firmly, swatting her hand away. "Absolutely not. You carried the team tonight. You played forty minutes and got a bruised knee. The least I can do is carry your bag."
Paige narrowed her eyes. "Azzi—"
"Babe," Azzi cut in sweetly. "Let me be a good girlfriend and carry your stuff for once. You always carry mine."
Still, she muttered under her breath the entire walk to the parking lot, and Azzi caught enough of it to know that "good girlfriend" was going to be revisited. Thoroughly. Later.
When they reached the car, Azzi popped the trunk and turned to grab the keys from her back pocket, but Paige was already standing there, palm extended. Silent and Expectant.
Azzi met her eyes and couldn’t help the grin that tugged at her lips. She dropped the keys into Paige’s hand like she was surrendering something more than just a fob.
"I may carry your stuff," she said, saccharine sweet, "but I’m not giving up passenger princess treatment."
Paige cocked her head, that sharp smile slowly spreading. "You are really pushing your luck and my limits tonight, princess."
"Pushing," Azzi echoed, already sliding into the passenger seat. "Not over it."
"Yet," Paige murmured.
They shut the doors almost in sync, the cabin falling into soft darkness. The air shifted, quiet and charged. No noise, no lights, no crowd. Just them. Paige’s hands on the wheel. Azzi practically vibrating beside her.
And Possessive Paige finally alone with her girl.
Paige turned toward her without a word, eyes sharp in the shadows, and reached out slowly, like she’d been holding back for too long and was finally ready to take. Her fingers found Azzi’s jaw, curling under it, her thumb brushing up the line of her cheekbone, firm and unhurried. She guided her in like gravity, lips brushing once, soft and purposeful, then again, deeper, hungrier, heat blooming between them.
"I missed you, baby," Paige murmured against her mouth, voice low and possessive, the baby nearly swallowed by how close they were.
Azzi let out a whimper, high and helpless, her fingers already clawing at the back of Paige’s neck, tangling into the damp curls stuck to her nape. She pulled her in again, harder this time—mouths crashing, breath catching, her legs shifting to pull Paige closer over the console. Their kisses turned messy fast. All tongue, teeth, gasps. Azzi made a small, broken sound every time Paige tugged at her bottom lip.
It had only been two days, but with the month before that hollowed out by travel and tension and late-night missed calls, it felt like she was kissing life back into her lungs.
Paige leaned in harder, pinning Azzi into the seat. Azzi folded under her without resistance, knees parting, one thigh pressing up against the console. Paige's hand slid from her jaw down to her throat, thumb pressing right beneath her jawline. Azzi’s breath stuttered, eyes fluttering shut. Her whole body pulsed under Paige’s touch.
She was already shaking.
Paige didn’t stop kissing her until she felt it, felt how gone Azzi was. Then she pulled back just slightly, hovering above her, lips swollen, eyes black with promise. Her hand never left Azzi’s throat. She didn’t squeeze. She didn’t have to. The weight of it was enough.
Her smirk was slow, calculated, absolutely devastating.
"I haven’t forgotten about your little stunt," she said, voice low and deliciously cruel. "You think just because you handed the jersey back, you’re off the hook that you are a good girl again?"
Azzi’s pupils blew wide. Her breath hitched so sharp it was almost a gasp. She swallowed, her whole body taut with anticipation, thighs squeezing together without permission.
Paige leaned in closer, lips grazing her jawline, her voice dropping into something even darker. She was all breath and threat, velvet and warning.
"You’re not getting off easy tonight. You want to play games in public? You want to wear someone else’s name on your back and act like you don’t know who you belong to?"
Azzi whimpered, hips twitching upward like she could grind against the air. She was panting now, eyes dazed, hands tightening into Paige’s hoodie like an anchor.
"You’re mine," Paige growled against her ear. "And you’re gonna remember that for days."
Azzi couldn’t speak. She just nodded, desperate and shaking.
Paige kissed her once more, harsh and claiming, then pulled back, just far enough to look her in the eye.
"First I’m going to hold you down and make you scream my name over and over again until it’s the only one left in your head. And then I’m going to make sure your thighs are too sore to pull another stunt like that for a long time."
Azzi made a sound that was half-moan, half-plea. Her head fell back against the headrest, lips parted, eyes dazed.
"I’m serious," Paige said, softer now, but no less threatening. "I’m not going to rush it. You’re going to feel every second of it. And you’re going to thank me when it’s over."
Azzi’s voice finally broke through, wrecked and trembling. "Yes. Please."
Paige smiled, dark, satisfied, cruel in the way only someone who loved you could be before pulling away and starting the car.
Azzi Fudd was in big fucking trouble. She was about to pay for every second she spent in that red jersey. And god, she couldn’t wait.

🥎⋆ catcher's little secret ⭒˚.⋆ Jax x reader
tags: nsfw, blowjob in public, humiliation, Jax wears a maid outfit, dom!Jax, public setting but no one knows (probably..except Caine), throatfucking, established relationship
Tumblr media
“you’ve got about three seconds to wipe that smirk off your face.” Jax said with irritation.
but you didn’t. “lookin’ good, Jax!!” the words purred off your tongue as your eyes dragged shamelessly down the line of his long legs in those fucking stockings.
he looked murderous. worse still when you cooed, sticking your tongue tongue out pretty enough for it to look suggestive.
a violent urge to tear apart the next neck breathing in his direction pulsed through Jax. frills, bows, the entire lacy dress clung to his frame looked like a punishment sent from god. if, of course, Caine's ai brains could be called that. yet the outfit wasn’t the worst of it. worse than the public humiliation, was the knowledge that you had voted for it too. you, with the smug little smile and the eyes that glittered when he turned red from fury. or wild embarrassment.
“think you’re clever, huh?” Jax snarled, seizing your wrist hard enough to make your joints scream. “we’ll see how funny it feels choking on this.”
not a full minute passed before he yanked you behind the bleachers, muttering death threats under his breath, calling you every name but sweet.
down in the digital grass, you were dropped, well, half shoved, onto your knees. still mouthing curses up at him, “you look ridiculous”, “this was Gangle’s best idea“ and finally ”can’t believe you’re hard in a f%$!#king maid costume.” but even that was said on a shiver, because the truth was too obvious and Jax pointed it out.
“yeah? and i can’t believe you’re wet for it.” he hissed, pulling his cock out from under the hem of that ridiculous maid outfit. it slapped hot against your face, already twitching with barely contained aggression. Jax grinned as his palm cupped your jaw, smearing pre-cum across your lips as you turned your face and tried to pretend you weren’t throbbing for it. “soo, gonna keep yappin’ or finally do what you’re made for?”
“%$!# you,” you spat, but opened anyway, jaw aching already from how he fed it to you, so smug about the way you whimpered when it hit the back of your throat.
Jax didn’t start rough. no, that would’ve been too easy. he rolled his hips in slow, deep drags, watching you take it, placing his hand on your head. “that’s it,” he groaned. “pretty little %$!#’’s mouth all stretched out. look at you. so stupid for me you forgot you were mad, huh?”
you shook your head and tried to glare, but it was breaking apart fast. in your defeat, your eyes glazed, drool sliding slick down your chin, pooling at your collar. looking so pathetic with his cock in your mouth as he fucked the fight out of you, especially your stupid mockery, all of it dissolved. your palms braced against his clothed thighs, shaking, whole body rocked forward with each thrust.
oh digital stars, he made you gag hard enough to erase the shame of standing in front of everyone wearing fucking lace.
“mmph— g-god, you’re such an asshole,” you gurgled around him, spit flicking as you pulled back for air. “%$!# hate you—“
“no you don’t.” Jax grinned, yanking you back down until your nose pressed into lace again. “i know you love this. love gagging on me like a little toy. awwh, what should i call you? my stupid little cheerleader? how’s that for funny?” he hissed, fucking your warm mouth harder. “was it hilarious when i shoved my %$!# down your throat?”
the stupid lace from his skirt brushed your cheeks as he shoved all the way in again, choking you so deep your ears rang. you didn’t resist. poor thing you were, just let him finish with a grunt and a groan, one hand forcing your head down, the other gripping your throat as he flooded your mouth with thick release. like always, Jax gave no warning. dumping it inside you or down your throat, he finished wherever he pleased, like the selfish prick he was.
you tried to swallow but failed, coughed around it, his cum dripping down your chin in messy strings.
“HEY!” kinger’s voice rang out, calling your name and you rolled your eyes, groaning. “you’re up next!”
Jax was still panting, but with an evil and mocking smile on his smug face. not even paying attention to his outfit anymore, skirt crooked, while you were dripping, desperate for more, for continuation, please please please, you needed him inside now, tongue lolling, blinking up at him, so dazed you couldn’t remember what sport you were supposed to be playing.
“better get out there, baby,” he murmured, smoothing your hair with one hand, dragging his thumb across your bottom lip. “don’t trip on the way back.”

“Give me that!”
Yeji snatches the phone out of your hand with the kind of urgency only a best friend possesses—the kind forged after too many years of watching you do the stupidest things when it comes to boys. Her eyes flare the moment she spots the familiar username.
@ haechanahceah
“Oh my god. You’re kidding.” Her thumb hovers accusingly over the screen. “Y/N, it’s been a year. A whole year. Why haven’t you blocked Hyuck yet?”
You don’t answer immediately. Just tilt your head back with an exhausted exhale, reaching for the phone. Not because you want it back, but because it feels incriminating in her hands. Like a wound she’s now inspecting. And you don’t need her inspecting it.
“Because we’re okay,” you say, not entirely convincingly. “Mostly.”
It was just a like. On an Instagram post. Of him—with his friends.
(Some of them girls. Most of them girls. All of them tagged. And you definitely weren’t planning on clicking through their profiles in the middle of your best friend coffee date with your screen brightness criminally low. Definitely not.)
“And because we’re friends,” you add breezily. Then you pluck the phone from her hand and tap back into the app, your thumb moving faster than your brain, already leaving a comment beneath his photo.
Something flippant. Something funny. Something that screams: See? I’m a functioning, emotionally stable adult who can totally be friends with the boy who annihilated my heart while he gallivants around Europe on a boat with girls.
Except probably subtler.
Yeji stares at you like she’s witnessing a slow-motion car crash. “Oh, absolutely. And when that guy drove me home from the bar last weekend and told me I had pretty eyes, we were just friends too.”
You roll your eyes, swatting the air with your hand. “That’s different. Hyuck’s my childhood best friend. I can’t just cut him off now that we’re not…” you pause, the words catching in your throat like they always do, “you know?”
“No. I don’t know,” she says, arms crossed and chin lifted in that annoyingly perceptive way of hers. “Because you two are in a loop. An exhausting, toxic, ‘I-don’t-know-where-we-stand-with-each-other’ loop. And staying in touch with him is why you can’t move on.”
“We are not toxic.”
You are.
But you’d already said it out loud like a reflex, before you even had time to make it sound believable. So, you try to fix it.
“We’re just…”
You trail off, blinking hard like the answer might fall from the ceiling.
 “Co-dependent?” Lia offers helpfully.
You sigh. “Yes. That. Thank you, Lia.”
“It’s weird, is what it is,” Yeji says.
You lean back in your chair, arms folded across your chest like armour. “Ugh. You wouldn’t get it.”
And they wouldn’t. They never have.
Because nobody gets you and Hyuck. Not Yeji, not Lia, not even the therapists you’ve paid a concerning amount of money to explain it all to you. No amount of therapy or psychoanalysis can remove the him-shaped hole inside of you. The way he exists like a second heartbeat.
How many times does a person truly get to fall in love? Not the practical kind. But the kind that rewires you completely. That makes you wonder how you ever existed before this person, and fear who you might become after.
If love were fair—the answer would be simple. Once. Only ever once.
Because to love someone—truly love someone—is not just to hand over your heart. It’s to fold it delicately, wrap it in every part of your soul, and place it willingly in that person’s pocket. Trusting that they won’t ever give it back frayed or barely beating.
And if they do (and he definitely did) well, what remains might resemble a heart, but it never beats the same again. You don’t think it ever will.
So yes. One love. One person. One boy—him.
Yeji calls it nostalgia. Says that since he was your first everything, it feels bigger than it was, and that’s why he’s taking up too much space inside your chest. She says you're scared of forgetting. But that’s not it.
You’d give anything to forget. It’s better than remembering everything. Of living in a world where he’s everywhere and nowhere all at once. Where songs feel like him. Where movies feel like him. Where your own body sometimes feels like him because he’s marked it so damn much.
But if you did move on, if you could—you’d still have to ask yourself: where does all that breathless, foolish, all-consuming love go?
The common consensus is that love turns to hate when it stays too long without being fed. But you can’t imagine a universe cruel enough to make you hate the very boy who made you believe in soulmates.
So you don’t hate him. Even though you should.
“Fine,” Yeji slumps back in her chair, arms crossed, eyes sharp with that familiar fury she reserves exclusively for you—when you’re being like this. “You’re right. I don’t get it. I don’t get why you’re still in cahoots with the same boy who cheated on you and left you a complete mess.”
Lia gasps. “Yeji!”
But the thing is—Yeji has a point. And you know that. But knowing something and truly understanding it is two different things.
You don’t understand how he put his hands on someone else. How his mouth touched a body that wasn’t yours. How he delivered that line—“I didn’t mean for it to happen”—with the kind of ease that made you wonder just how many times he’d practised it in the mirror before he had the balls to actually tell you.
You didn’t understand, yet you knew all the same.
You were wearing his shirt when he told you. Still in his house. Still in the space you thought was yours too. And all you could think was: how many nights did he lie next to you like nothing was wrong? How many times did he touch you with hands that had already betrayed you?
He never told you when, or who. Just a sorry. A soft one. A useless one. And a vague promise that he’d do anything to fix it.
But there are some things sorry can’t fix.
You clear your throat, suddenly too aware of how loud your heartbeat feels in a room full of people who love you enough to hate him.
“Because we’re not in cahoots,” you correct. “We’re friends, Yej. Him and I have always been friends.”
It’s not a lie. Not exactly.
You have been friends with Hyuck ever since he moved in next door to your family when you were six. And even then—when you climbed trees and shared crayons—you think your heart was already beating for him. So much you don’t know what life is without that pulse anymore. Without a hint of him running beneath your skin.
It’s why you plaster on a smile and say, “In fact, I even invited him to my birthday party next week.”
They look at you, eyes full of pity and sympathy. And that hurts way more than him breaking you ever did. Because now your friends are staring at you like you’re some sad, shattered, pathetic thing he left behind.
“Are you sure that’s a good idea?” Lia asks weakly.
“You’re seriously a lunatic,” Yeji cuts in before you can respond. “You’re just dragging this out for yourself. Death by a thousand cuts and all that.”
“I am not a lunatic,” you say, shrugging her off. “It’s just... he’s still part of my life. It’s not like I’m inviting a stranger.”
“He fucked up your life,” she huffs, the words stinging. “He hurt you.”
“Yes,” you breathe. “But I love him anyway, don’t I?”
And you do. Because some loves don’t end—they just rearrange themselves.
Yeji yanks her chair back so hard the legs screech against the floor.
“He’s gonna hurt you again,” she spits. “How many times are you gonna let him rip you apart before there’s nothing left? Before you’ve sacrificed yourself and everyone else around you and you’ve got nothing left to give?”
You want to say something, but the words get stuck, because she’s right.
Lia reaches out, “Yeji—”
“If he’s there next week, Y/N,” she says, eyes burning over her shoulder looking from you to Lia, “then I won’t be.”

When Hyuck got a DM from the only girl he’s ever loved—two days ago, now—he sobered.
Which, if you asked Mark, was some kind of divine miracle. Because Mark had been watching his best friend drink himself into oblivion for the better part of a year. A slow, intentional kind of fucked up that was clearly a desperate, pathetic attempt to forget you.
But no shot, no spirit, no stranger’s skin pressed to his could ever do the trick. Not really. Because no matter how hard Hyuck tried, the hangover was always the same: he’d wake up, and you still weren’t his girl.
So when he saw your username light up his phone, he paused.
Because the preview didn’t give anything away. It did that annoying thing that said “2 new messages.” No hint. No breadcrumb. Just a loaded gun of a notification staring up at him.
And, of course he clicked it. He had to. You knew he would. You’d sent two back-to-back messages on purpose—he’s certain of it. Because that’s exactly the kind of person you were. Always two steps ahead. Always orchestrating even your vulnerability.
You wanted to see when he’d read it.
And he did.
At 2:36 a.m. Because you’d definitely be asleep by then. And that meant he had enough time to draft the right response—measured, brisk, detached—like the past year hadn’t cracked him open.
He read it in the half-light of Mark’s living room, surrounded by people he didn’t really like and a bottle of something he couldn’t quite remember picking up.
hey. i’m having a thing next friday for my birthday—just a chill party. nothing major.
you can come, if you want.
Hyuck stares at the two messages.
It’s not because of the party. He couldn’t care less about the cake or the candles. That’s not what has his heart in his throat. It’s the fact that—for the first time in a year—you actually reached out. None of that accidentally bumping into each other nonsense you two pull. No one buys that it’s an accident.
At least, it’s not an accident on his behalf.
It’s not an accident when he keeps frequenting the same coffee shop you once claimed made the best lattes in the city—always at the same time. It’s not a coincidence when he drives through your favourite places on rainy days, just in case you need a ride and are too proud to just call him. And it’s definitely not a coincidence that makes him take the long way to your house. He does it deliberately. He selfishly takes more of your time than he deserves.
Because saying goodbye wasn’t an option for him. Not until it had to be. He’d take prolonged suffering. Death by a thousand cuts.
And it’s not his fault. Well. It is. All of the ruin, anyway. But in the twelve months since he blew it all up, you’ve still lingered. You always do. You always will. So he just keeps showing up in your life when he knows you need to move on. Because he doesn’t want you to.
Because everything in his life is still half-yours. And he won’t board up the windows of that love—not even now. Not when some part of you still flickers inside it, and half of his heart is still in your chest.
Hyuck stares at your message again. He types something. Deletes it. Types something else. Deletes that too.
what kind of thing is it?
Too uninterested.
who’s gonna be there?
Too nosy.
sure, if you want me there.
Too honest.
Everything felt like a trap—too much, too little, not enough to win you back, but equally too honest and would remind you of his actions that hurt you.
How was he supposed to respond to the girl who once memorised every mole on his face? Who was the muse of every song he’s written? Who still makes his hands shake on the keyboard? Who he cheated on? Who he destroyed completely?
Eventually he landed on:
might swing by, angel. happy early birthday, btw.
He hit send before he could change his mind.

11:27PM
Thirty-three minutes left of your birthday, but you’re not celebrating.
Instead, you’re sitting on the edge of the kitchen counter with one leg dangling, the other tucked beneath you, whilst your dress wrinkles and bunches around your thighs because you stopped caring how ruined you looked an hour ago.
You don’t care that your lipstick is all but gone or that your mascara is smudged under both eyes. You don’t care because he’s not here.
You were supposed to be smiling by now.
But he didn’t walk in.
He still hasn’t.
And you don’t even know why you’re surprised. He’s not your boyfriend. He’s not your baby. He’s not your Hyuck anymore. He doesn’t owe you a goddamn thing—not a happy birthday, or his time. You gave that privilege up the night you stopped being his. Or maybe the night he stopped being yours. You still haven’t decided which one came first.
Still, you hoped he would come.
It was the only thing keeping you remotely sane—delusional hope that he might still show up. That maybe he’d walk through the door like he hadn’t betrayed you and still want you. You still wanted him.
You hated that he broke you and still got to keep the pieces. Hated that even now, on your birthday, all you could think about was him. Hated that you still wanted his birthdays, his weekends, his forever.
You take another drink. Cheaper vodka this time, and let it burn your throat as it goes down. You want the sting. You deserve the sting. Your eyes drift (again) to the front door.
Still nothing.
“You need to stop doing that,” Lia pads barefoot into the kitchen, coming right behind you to smack both her hands on your shoulders. “Stop watching that door like a hawk. Yeji would kill you if she saw you pining after him on your birthday.”
You press your lips together and glance away like you’ve been caught red-handed. Because, well. You have.
“Yeah, well. Yeji isn’t here,” you mutter, taking another sip—longer this time.
Lia raises an eyebrow. “And why’s that?”
You drain the last of your drink and look her straight in the eye. “Because I invited him.”
Lia looks at you expectantly. You know she hates being caught between you and Yeji, but it’s clear she thinks you were wrong to invite Hyuck tonight, knowing full well how Yeji would react.
And maybe she’s right.
That’s why you sigh.
“Look, he said he might come,” you say finally. “He didn’t promise anything. Yeji was overreacting.”
“He never promises,” Lia says gently. “And yet, you keep prioritising him like he’s still that sweet boy we both used to love, who used to buy your favourite cookies before class, or pick fights with the boys who made fun of you. But he’s not that boy anymore, Y/N. And he’s not yours anymore either.”
You flinch.
She notices. Regrets it. “Sorry.”
You shake your head. “It’s fine.”
But it isn’t, not really. Because this is the first birthday he’s missed since you were kids. Since you were eleven and he showed up with a homemade card.
It’s not fine because his absence would say something that the cheating weirdly never quite did—that he’s not the boy you fell in love with. Maybe he hasn’t been for a long time.
Lia leans against the counter beside you. “It’s allowed, you know? Being hurt.”
“I don’t get to be,” you reply, glancing at her. “He doesn’t owe me anything anymore. I was the one who didn’t want to forgive him that night. I said I was done. I don’t expect him to grovel forever.”
“No,” she agrees. “But you deserved something. More than a half-assed apology at least.”
That lands in your chest harshly. You press your tongue to your cheek, the way you do when you’re trying not to cry. You’re not drunk enough to cry yet. Give it another hour.
“Come on,” Lia sighs and wraps an arm around your shoulders, tugging you into her side, “I’m not letting you stay in here staring at that door and giving him the power to ruin the rest of your birthday.”
But even as she says it, your eyes flicker to that door again—still no him.
Lia doesn’t let go of your hand as she leads you out of the kitchen and into the living room, where people are scattered across the sofas and floors. They all feel like strangers at your own party because you’ve spent the whole night looking for one person who never came.
“Y/N,” Lia says, squeezing your hand, “this is Hyunjae.”
You blink. The boy in front of you is pretty. Dark eyes, strong jaw softened by the curve of a perfect smile, black hair pushed back sexily. He’s holding a drink loosely in his hand as his eyes sweep over you.
“Happy birthday,” he says. “You look—”
Please don’t say beautiful. Please don’t say gorgeous. Please don’t say anything he would’ve said.
“—pretty,” Hyunjae finishes. “Really fucking pretty.”
You smile. Or try to. “Thanks.”
And look, it’s not that Hyunjae isn’t nice—he is. You can already hear Yeji telling you to give him a chance. He’s the kind of boy who’d text back, who’s safe, who’d never leave you staring at a door wondering if he’ll show up on your birthday or not. Hyunjae is the kind of boy who wouldn’t cheat on you.
But the truth is, you don’t know if you can be the girl who lets someone call her pretty and fawn anymore. Not without wondering if they’ll still mean it once they see someone better, shinier, hotter than you.
Just like he did.
You nod along when Hyunjae talks. You laugh where you’re supposed to. Play nice. Be sweet. But everything he says sounds like static. Everything he is feels like a placeholder.
And then, you hear it. That deep, honey-smooth, familiar voice saying: “Happy birthday, angel.”
It slices through the room. Through you.
Because there’s only one person who ever called you that. One boy. Lee Donghyuck.
You didn’t even hear the front door open. Typical. But there he is, leaning in the doorway, all tan skin and messy hair. His hands are buried in his pockets, his jaw set tight—too tight, like he’s seconds from grinding his teeth into dust.
But it’s not you he’s looking at. It’s Hyunjae. Sitting far too close. Arm tossed lazily behind you on the couch, thigh pointing into yours, almost grazing like he owns your space.
And Hyuck notices. You know he notices.
His eyes narrow. Lips parting slightly as his tongue presses against the inside of his cheek. You know that look. You’ve seen it before. That blend of heat and hurt and possessiveness he has no right to anymore.
It hits your chest all at once—shame, hurt, lust—and you fumble. Your hand twitches with the red plastic cup still clutched tight. The drink tilts before you even realise it’s slipping. Cranberry vodka sloshes, causing sticky, cold liquid to spill down the front of your dress, dripping into the neckline.
“Fuck—” you hiss, jerking upright as the cup lands onto the coffee table. You paw uselessly at the now soaked fabric, trying to blot it with the hem of your sleeve, but it’s only smearing it worse.
Hyunjae starts to reach for a napkin, concerned. But your eyes have already found Hyuck’s again. And the way he’s looking at you now…
Your throat goes dry. “I—I’m gonna go change.”
You don’t wait for a reply. You’re moving before anyone can stop you, heart hammering against your ribs because this wasn’t how it was supposed to go.
You barely make it up the stairs, breath coming fast, fingers trembling as you reach for the door to your room. You close it. But you don’t get the chance to lock it. Because the door creaks again behind you. And then it clicks shut. You spin around. And there he is.
You don’t say anything at first.
Just stalk over to your wardrobe like it’s perfectly sane to have your ex-boyfriend—your ex-best friend, the boy you used to see every single day, the only boy you’ve ever slept with, the only person who knows all the tells on your body, the boy you still love—in your bedroom for the first time in over a year.
You wrench the closet door open. A pair of heels fall out and land with a little thud. You don’t flinch. You pretend to rifle through hangers, but you’re not looking for anything specific. All of it is just something to do with your hands, because looking at him right now would be a sick kind of torture.
“What are you doing here!?”
Hyuck doesn’t respond immediately. Instead, you only hear the soft thud of his shoes on your floor, the creak of your floorboard by the dresser. He’s closer than you want him to be.
“You invited me,” he says, like it’s obvious.
You spin around. “I invited you to my birthday party. Which started five hours ago.”
He lifts his phone, the screen glowing in the dark. “As far as I’m aware,” he says, tapping it once, “you’ve still got thirteen minutes left. So again, happy birthday, angel.”
You stiffen.
There it is. That.
That fucking word. The one that used to make you feel warm and wanted. Now it feels like an insult wrapped in silk.
“Don’t call me that.”
That stops him. Just for a second. Then, slowly, he lowers the phone. Shoves it back into his pocket.
“I thought you liked it when I called you that.”
“I used to like it,” you spit. “Back when it meant something. You know, before you fucked someone else behind my back.”
His jaw tightens. Good, you think. The truth hurts; you hope it hurts. And maybe that makes you cruel. But then again, he was cruel first.
He rubs his jaw, then exhales. “We’re really doing this now?”
You laugh dryly. “Oh, sorry. Would you prefer we pencil it in for next week instead? Talk about it over brunch sometime, yeah?”
You turn back to your wardrobe, suddenly too irritated. Your fingers find the old grey hoodie you always loved. It looks soft. Comfortable. Definitely not party appropriate. But you don’t care because you don’t want to go back out there. Not after this.
You peel your dress off in one motion, leaving you in the black lace set you picked out this morning—because it was your birthday. Not for anyone else. Not for a boy. Certainly not for him.
Him.
You forget for a moment that he’s still behind you.
It’s like your brain short-circuits in his presence. Like it still confuses this boy for the lifeline he used to be. Like your heart can’t shout loud enough to warn you: this boy broke us, this boy hurt us, this boy is bad for us. All it says is: this boy is Hyuck. This boy is sweet. This boy—we love.
You only remember when you hear him inhale—sharply—and turn around.
He’s looking at you like that again. Like he did back when he loved you, and you loved him, and he hadn’t ruined everything yet. He looks hungry, and like the only thing that might satisfy him is you.
That thought makes you clutch the hoodie to your chest. “Turn around!”
He does. Obediently. But then:
"So, did you wear that for me?"
His voice is so annoyingly smug it makes you roll your eyes as you reply. “No.”
But your cheeks betray you. Hot. Guilty. Flushed. Thank god his back is still to you, because if he turned around now and looked at you, he’d know. Because he knows all your tells. Always has.
And from just a simple flush, he’d know that yes, you wore this set for him. That yes, despite pretending you were over him in his Instagram comments, your traitorous heart had hoped that he might come tonight and rip the set off of you.
And just in case he caught your second tell (the tremor in your voice), you twist the knife a little more.
“I wore this set for Hyunjae, actually.”
A silence. Then the fucker starts laughing.
Not a little laugh. A full-bodied, head thrown back, belly laugh. You hate how much you’ve missed that sound, how it still makes your stomach flip.
“Five minutes ago, I might’ve believed that, angel,” he says, turning slightly. Just enough for you to catch the outline of his grin. “And it would’ve driven me fucking crazy.”
Your heart stutters when he nods toward your chest.
“But I wasn’t talking about your underwear,” he says, eyes dipping lower.
You follow his gaze down to the delicate gold chain resting just above the swell of your breasts. The one with the tiny heart pendant. The one with the H engraving.
“I was talking about that necklace. The one I bought you for your sixteenth birthday,” He cocks his head. Smirking now. “Did you wear it for me?”
Your fingers fly to it instinctively. You hadn’t taken it off. Not even after finding out. You always wore it underneath your clothes, tucked away like a secret, because Yeji would have a field day if she knew you still wore his necklace.
But in the heat of the moment, stripping down to your underwear, your brain hadn’t realised that he’d see it again.
“I thought I told you to turn around,” you snap, furious with yourself.
He lifts his hands defensively. “I am turned around.”
“I meant your head, not just your body, Hyuck.”
And so he does, again. Obediently.
You pull the hoodie on. It swallows you immediately. The sleeves dangle past your hands, the hem skims your thighs, and it smells like dust and weirdly like…the boy behind you.
“I’m decent,” you mutter.
He turns around, eyes flicking down before he smiles. Not smug, this time. Just soft and… a little sad?
“That’s mine.”
You roll your eyes, tugging at the sleeves. “No it isn’t.”
“Yes, it is. It’s massive on you. And unless you’ve got a secret stash of men’s hoodies in your closet, that one’s mine.”
You glare. “Oh yeah? And who says I don’t have a collection of men’s hoodies in my closet?”
“I do.”
 So fast. So sure.
You scoff, a single sharp laugh. “God, you think so highly of yourself.”
He crosses his arms—all tensed jaw and too-tight t-shirt—and it’s irritating, how stupidly good he looks whilst being smug.
“Yeah,” he says, deadpan. “I do. Because, despite us being broken up, you still wear my necklace.”  He nods toward your nightstand.  “You still have a photo of us beside your bed.” And then, one step closer. “And you fucking invited me here tonight.”
You lift your chin. “I invited everyone. It was a mass text.”
“Funny,” he says, a fake smile forming, “Mark didn’t get a text.”
“Aww,” you coo, mocking. “You still talk to your friends about me, Hyuck? Christ. Now I’m gonna start thinking highly of myself.”
“You should.”
For some reason, those two simple words hit you like a slap across the face. Because no.
“You don’t get to do that!” you snap at him. “You don’t get to tell me I should think highly of myself when you’re the exact reason I can’t even imagine the top anymore, Hyuck!” You laugh bitterly. “I don’t know my worth because you had me. But you wanted something else.”
And in that moment—maybe it’s your tone, or maybe it’s accountability—a flash of hurt crosses his face, that makes him wince.
“Y/N, angel…” His voice cracks a little on your name, as he runs a hand through his hair. “Fuck! It was one mistake. You don’t understand—”
But you don’t want to hear it. You’ve already heard it.
You hold up a hand, stopping him from wasting his breath. “I don’t want to understand anything about the night you decided to fuck another girl, thank you very much, Hyuck.”
“Of course, I get that but—”
“But?”  you raise an eyebrow in disbelief.
“Yes, but, Y/N,” he fires back. “Because I don’t know what you want from me. You say you don’t want to forgive me—and I get it. I don’t deserve your forgiveness.” He’s pacing now. “But you string me along. You comment on my posts, you let me drive you home, you still have my fucking hoodies—”
His eyes flick down to the one you’re wearing now, oversized and drooping around the neckline to show that gold chain.
“—you wear my initials around your neck, and you asked me to come tonight—you. And now you’re mad that I’m here?”
His voice rises and you swallow—hard. Like maybe if you keep swallowing, you’ll stop the tears from climbing all the way up your throat. Because it’s all too raw. All of it. Him. You.This.
He’s unraveling in front of you. And even though you know—deep in your bones—that he doesn’t have the right to be this angry, a part of you gets it. Because this awful, splintered, aching love you have for him is confusing. It’s contradictory. It fucks with your brain so much that it doesn’t matter that you’re hurting because he’s hurting too.
And that’s all you can focus on.
It’s like you said:  nobody gets you and Hyuck.
“I don’t know what you want from me, angel,” he says again, quieter this time. He takes a slow step forward. Close enough to reach out and tuck a strand of hair behind your ear, like he used to.
His hand lingers.
“I don’t know what you want,” he breathes, “but if you tell me—I’ll give it to you.”
Your breath stutters. Your throat tightens.
And then, so quiet you almost miss it: “Because. I. Love. You.”
You close your eyes. You don’t want to. You don’t even mean to. But those three words wrap around you tight.
“Don’t,” your voice cracks. “Don’t say that to me, Hyuck. Not after everything.”
When you open your eyes again, they’re full of tears. Angry ones. Bitter ones. Hopeful ones too—because you’re weak, and stupid, and still a little bit in love with a boy who shattered you.
“I mean it,” he says instantly. His hand twitches at his side—you see it. He wants to touch you. Wants to wipe your tears like he used to because he hates them. But he doesn’t know if he has permission anymore. (He does, but he doesn’t know he does.)
“I’ve always meant it.”
“Then why’d you throw it all away?” You spit the words out like poison. “Why did you ruin us for a quick fuck?”
“I don’t know,” he breathes, stepping back. “But I do know I hurt you. And I’ll hate myself for that forever. But I never stopped loving you. Not for a second.”
You laugh. But it sounds more like a sob. “You have a funny way of showing love.”
“I know.”
“You know everything,” you say, “except why you did it.”
A beat passes. Two. Three.
“You should go,” you whisper. “The party’s over. You’ve said what you needed to say. And I thought I could do this but I can’t.”
“No.”
Your eyes fly to his. He’s shaking his head, tongue in his cheek again as he sniffs.
“No,” he says again “I’m not leaving us like this.”
“I don’t want you here.”
“Liar.”
“Hyuck—”
“You want me to say it again?” he asks, voice rising just slightly. Not angry. Only desperate. “You want me to beg? Fine. I will. I’ll fucking get on my knees if that’s what it takes.”
And then, to your absolute horror, he does.
“Hyuck, stop—”
“I’m sorry,” he chokes out. “I’m sorry for everything. For all of it. For her. For the lies. For shattering everything good we ever had. But I love you, Y/N. And I’m not sorry for that. I’ll never be sorry for that.”
You’re trying to stay angry. Trying to hold onto the rage but it’s slipping. Because you want him. You love him.
He’s still on his knees. Still looking up at you. Still pleading. You wish he’d just stand up. You wish he didn’t look so much like the boy you fell in love with instead of the man who broke you.
“Please,” he says again.“I know I don’t get to ask. But I’m asking anyway. I’m asking because I love you. I never stopped. I swear to God, I never—”
“Stop it,” you say, too fast.
It feels like your chest caves in. Because the thing about love is: it’s loud. Louder than hurt. Especially right now. You love him so much you could scream. But instead, you drop down to your knees. Right there in front of him. And before you know it, your hands are reaching for him. Stupid, traitorous things.
“Stop,” you whisper. “Please, stop.”
But he doesn’t.
Of course he doesn’t.
Because he’s Hyuck. And Hyuck never knows when to shut up.
“I know I ruined it,” he’s saying. “I know I don’t deserve a second chance. I wouldn’t forgive me either. I wouldn’t. But I can’t stop loving you. I’ve tried. God, I’ve tried so hard. I’ve kissed girls who weren’t you and I’ve gone home wanting to claw off my own skin.”
You suck in a breath.
“You don’t have to forgive me now. Or ever. Just let me prove it. Let me try. I’ll wait. I’ll wait for you for fucking ever, I swear—”
You’re kissing him.
You have no idea why, but it just feels like you have to. Because you physically can’t not. Because the love of your life, him, is bleeding out in front of you and you’re the only one who knows how to stop it.
And when your mouth crahses into his, it tastes like heartbreak and history and every stupid, selfish thing he’s ever done. But you keep kissing him. Because just as much as it hurts—it feels like home. Like you’ve finally been returned to the place you belong. Like his lips have been waiting for yours all this time.
He’s kissing you back just as fiercely. Like he might die if he doesn’t. And maybe he would. Maybe you would too.
You don’t know who moves first. You think it’s you, but maybe it’s him. You’re both equally desperate—lunging backward until his back knocks against the foot of your bedframe and you’re straddling his hips.
His hands find your waist, landing heavy and possessive around you. But you don’t mind, because your fingers tangle in his hair, tugging just hard enough to make him groan into your mouth—and God, you missed that sound. Missed him like oxygen.
His mouth moves to your neck, lips skimming every slither of skin he can reach, greedily not wanting to miss a single piece of you since he’s trying to make up for all the parts he used to take for granted. And you tilt your head back, giving him that access, because you’ve never been able to deny him anything.
“Tell me you’re still mine,” he breathes against your skin, half-choked.
You should tell him no. Should tell him he doesn’t get to ask things like that—not when he gave himself away so easily. Not now when he’ll never solely be yours like you’re solely his.
But your heart is so tired and so in love it’s ridiculous, so instead you whisper: “I never stopped being yours.”
And then he’s kissing you again—deeper, this time. Until he pulls away and his forehead presses to yours, and he pants against your lips. “Let me love you,” he begs. “Please. Let me love you right this time.”
He feels solid beneath you. It’s making your brain fuzzy. It’s making you whimper.
“Okay,” you pant, tugging harder at those soft brown strands, as your hips shift and grind down against him, making him groan lowly.
His hands clamp tighter around your waist, dragging you down harder, closer, like he’s trying to fuse you to him. And suddenly your skin feels too tight. You’re too aware of the clothes between you—what little there is.
Because you didn’t put on pants. Just that hoodie of his over your pathetic pair of black panties—thin, useless fabric—and now your pussy is rubbing right up against the thick outline of him through his jeans, and it’s overwhelming. You can feel absolutely everything you’ve missed.
Heat blooms in your stomach and you roll your hips again. It’s so shameless. So needy. But you don’t care. Not when it’s been this long. Not when it’s his fault it’s been this long—because you never would’ve let it be anyone else.
And he meets you in it. Each grind matched with one of his own, more harsh than the last. Until his hips are moving on impulse, chasing you like a man starved. His head drops to your shoulder, and his breath stutters.
“Fuck, angel, slow down,” he chokes, “You’re killing me.”
You press your lips to his temple, to his jaw, anywhere you can reach, and whisper, breathless, “You deserve it.”
He groans—louder this time—like he agrees.
His hands slide beneath your hoodie, fingers splayed wide, dragging up the warm skin of your back like he’s relearning it.
“I can’t believe this is happening again,” he breathes into your neck. “You can’t be real.”
But you are. You’re right here. Straddling him. Shaking for him. Letting him touch you like he never stopped having the right to.
He kisses your collarbone. Then lower—your sternum, the tops of your breasts, the edge of lace peeking from beneath his hoodie. His hoodie. That fact alone seems to snap something inside him.
“Fuck,” he mutters, and then he’s pushing the fabric up and up and up, until it pools around your ribs and the cold air hits your bare stomach. You shiver.
“Take it off,” he murmurs. “Please. Want to see you.”
You raise your arms, let him peel it over your head, and suddenly you’re half-naked in his lap—wearing nothing but that black set you wanted him to rip off, then didn’t, then did… and now, he is. Fingers working at the clasp, slipping the straps from your shoulders and tossing the bra aside in your room somewhere.
And then, he takes his time letting his eyes drag over you. Taking a sick pride in seeing his initial rest in the valley of your breast.
“Jesus,” he whispers. “You’re still the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen.”
And something about that word—still—makes your stomach twist.
Your arms fold over your boobs on instinct, shielding yourself from the one person you’ve always felt safest with. Because still means there’s someone else now. Someone he’s looked at. Someone he’s touched. Someone you had to beat—and somehow did.
But you shouldn’t have had to.
He notices the shift immediately—how your arms cross, how your body goes stiff, how the room, warm just a second ago, chills.
“Hey. Hey,” he says, brows furrowing. He cups your face, thumbs brushing just beneath your eyes. “Talk to me, angel. What’s wrong? What happened?”
You’re still straddling him, half-naked, kissed raw and dizzy, and yet you feel like you’re a million miles away. You try to speak, to explain, but the words choke you. How do you tell him something he’s never known? How do you make him understand? You’ve never done this to him before—and just knowing how much it hurts—you don’t think you ever could.
“I just—” your voice cracks. “I can’t stop thinking about her.”
He flinches—just enough for you to know it landed. But he doesn’t pull away.
The thing is, he doesn’t say her name. Doesn’t even mention her. Never has. But she’s here. Right here. In this room. Your room. In the silence. In his presence.
He shakes his head like he’s trying to wipe the thought away. “No. No, don’t do that. Don’t think about her. This—” his hands cup your face tighter, gently desperate, “—this is you and me. Always you.”
Your jaw clenches, your eyes sting. “Then why wasn’t it only me?”
He swallows hard, his gaze dropping to your lips before flickering away. He doesn’t answer—of course he doesn’t. He never does. And that’s been half the war between you. He doesn’t want to tell you the why.
Instead, his hands drift from your face to your waist, pulling you in like proximity might somehow make up for his silence. Like touch could smother your insecurities.
His breath ghosts over your skin as he leans in.“Forget her. Just for now. Right here, right now, it’s only you. Only us.”
You hate that you melt. Hate that the ache in your chest loosens its grip the second his hands coax your arms from where you’d folded them. Hate that even after everything, he still knows how to make you feel safe inside the wreckage he caused.
He’s infuriating.
“Let me show you,” he whispers. “That it’s always only been you for me.”
His hands skim up your sides, thumbs brushing delicately beneath your tits. His eyes never leave yours—not for a second—as he kneads and explores and feels your body in his palm. And then his mouth follows.
Lips warm, slightly chapped, close around your right nipple. Your breath punches out of you. You can’t help it because his tongue flicks once, then again, then again until your spine arches and pushes the bud further into his mouth.
“Hyuck,” you moan, helpless, feeling the curve of his smirk drag against your skin.
His free hand trails up your other side, rolling the neglected peak between calloused fingers so deliciously because he remembers exactly what used to make you fall apart, and now he’s hell-bent on proving he hasn’t forgotten.
“God, you’re fucking unreal,” he murmurs against your skin, then bites gently, just enough to make you gasp.
His words make you ache. Everywhere. Especially between your legs, where you’re still pressed tight against the thick, unrelenting shape of him through his jeans. And he hasn’t even touched you there yet, but it’s coming—you know it is.
His mouth keeps going, warm and wet whilst he stays sucking just hard enough to turn your bones to water. And whenever you whimper he groans.
“Please, Hyuck,” you plead. “Need more.”
He lifts his head, murmuring, “Yeah? You want me to show you how much I missed you?”
You nod, dizzy.
“Fuck,” he groans and wastes no time lifting you off the floor like it’s nothing, carrying you to your bed. He lays you down gently, spreads you out beneath him like something precious. And then he peels off his t-shirt.
That tan skin—scattered with moles you’ve memorised, counted, traced with your fingers and your mouth—is on full display, just for you.
“I’ll give you everything,” he says, voice low as he drops to his knees, crawling between your legs. “Absolutely everything. As long as you don’t regret this. Don’t regret me.”
Your fingers sink into his hair before you can think. “I won’t,” you whisper. “Couldn’t.”
And then he dips down.
His mouth finds the inside of your thigh, open-mouthed kisses dragging tantalisingly up your skin. He’s not rushing. He never does when he gives head. It’s his favourite thing to savour. You. On his tongue.
“You’ve no idea how long I’ve thought about this,” he murmurs, nipping at your skin, making you gasp. “How many times I’ve had to stop myself from texting. From begging you to take me back.”
“Who said anything about taking you back?” You say, hips shifting, dying for friction, but he pins them with strong hands, keeping you right where he wants you.
“I did,” he says, a smirk ghosting over his lips. “Am I wrong, Y/N? Because if I am, we can stop right now?”
“No,” you whine on a trembling breath.
He smiles. “I didn’t think so.”
Then, finally, finally—his mouth finds the place you need him most.
He licks a slow stripe up your center, groaning from the taste of you in his mouth. He does it again, and then again, until your legs are trembling and one of your hands fists the sheets, the other tangled in his hair, pulling and tugging at it, just how he likes. Just how you like.
He flicks his tongue, circles it, moans when you cry out for more.
“God, you taste the same,” he says hoarsely. “Still fucking perfect.”
You try to respond, to say something, but then he sucks again, so hard, you almost shoot clean off the bed.
“Hyuck—please,” it’s half a sob, a half moan, one hundered percent completley ruined.
He growls, arms locking around your thighs to keep you still, mouth relentless as he licks and sucks and worships like this is his penance.
“Shit, Y/N,” he mutters between licks, “I missed how fucking responsive you are. Always so good for me.”
You whimper. “Don’t stop. Please don’t stop.”
“Not gonna,” he promises. “Not until you fall apart for me. Right here. Right now.”
He hums, the vibration making your stomach flutter, and you swear your heart forgets how to beat.
“Let me make you come,” he says, voice completely ruined now too. “Wanna feel you fall apart on my mouth. Please.”
And you do. You let him. Because you want this. Want him. Still. Always.
Your entire body coils, legs shaking, hands clawing at the sheets as your orgasm crashes through you. It’s shattering, making you cry out, his name falling from your lips repeatedly.
Hyuck doesn’t stop. Not until your body finally slumps back to the mattress, boneless and trembling. Only then does he lift his head, lips wet and shiny. He crawls up your body, kissing your thigh, your stomach, the underside of your boobs, your jaw. Everywhere. Until he’s hovering over you, and you’re staring up at him, glassy-eyed and overwhelmed.
“You okay?” he whispers, brushing hair gently back from your face.
You nod, breath catching. “Yeah. I just... I can’t believe you’re here.”
“I never really left,” he says. “Even though I know I should have. I’m too damn selfish.”
Your throat tightens. You reach up, tracing his jaw with shaking fingers. “I want you to fuck me, Hyuck.”
He blinks, then his eyes darken. “You’re sure?”
You pull him down until your foreheads press again and then whisper a soft, “Yes.”
Then he kisses you. Slowly. Passionately in a way you know this about to be more than just fucking. It feels like the before. The soft. His hands coming up to your face, thumbs brushing your cheekbones. Everything so tender and full of love.
And somewhere between the kiss and the forgetting, his pants are off. His boxers too. He’s about to fuck you completely raw—like he used to—and for a moment, your body almost lets him. Because it remembers. The blind trust.
But this isn’t then. And that’s why you reach out, fingers curling gently around his forearm. Stopping him.
“Condom,” you whisper, cheeks flushing as you glance toward the nightstand.
Because it shouldn’t have to be like this. Back then, you were on the pill. You were his. He was yours. There was no one else. But now? Now you’ve had to share him—with her. Maybe with others too.
He freezes. And for a second, you swear he looks gutted. But then he nods.
Wordlessly, he reaches into your nightstand, gets one open and rolls it on his cock. He doesn’t protest. He never would. Because it’s not the condom that guts him—it’s what it means. It’s that reminder that everything’s different now. And why. A barrier he put there himself because he was reckless, drunk, stupid and ungrateful. A consequence he crafted with his own hands.
But he doesn’t let that thought linger too long. The past is the past—he hates thinking about it. It’s what wrecked him. What wrecked this. What wrecked you.
Now, all he wants is the present. Not even the future. Just this. Just you. Because you’re here. Beneath him. Asking him to fuck you. You’re his—if only for now. And that’s enough.
He slides back over you. And for a second—just one—you both just… look.
You’re looking at him like maybe this could fix it. He’s looking at you like he knows it won’t. Sex doesn’t fix anything. It’s what broke you two in the first place if you really think about it . But he’s still doing it. And so are you.
He pushes inside of you slowly and your breath stutters, nails digging crescent moons into his biceps.
“Fucking hell,” he groans, voice tight and thick. “You feel like—”
“Home,” you whisper, beating him to it.
Because you do. And he does. And it’s pathetic. And perfect. And completely going to destroy you in the morning.
His forehead drops to yours and he lets out a shaky breath, like the kind that comes right before someone starts to cry. But he doesn’t cry—he moves. Gently. Tenderly.
You cling to him, every nerve alight, oversensitive in that desperate, raw way that makes you breathless beneath him—letting him kiss you through it, through the pain, through the slow, aching stretch of him inside you.
And in between those kisses and the thrusts and the way your fingers tangle in his hair again, he whispers:
“Missed you.”
“God, I missed you.”
“I’ll never stop being sorry.”
He fucks you like he’s trying to put you back together with every snap of his hips. And maybe he is.
So you let him.
You let him fuck you until you’re both a mess of moans and apologies and, fractured I love yous. Until you’re panting in time with each other. Until you’re cumming—together.
After, it’s quiet.
Not awkward or bitter or biting, but comfortable. You’re tangled in each other, limbs overlapping, as Hyuck brushes his nose against your temple. Eventually, he slips out of you, careful to not hurt you, but you flinch at the loss. He presses a kiss to your forehead, one to each cheek, and then he’s moving—disposing of the condom, finding his way back to your side.
“Let’s shower,” he murmurs, thumb storoking your jaw. “Let me take care of you first. And after… we’ll talk, yeah?”
You don’t say anything—because you can’t. Your throat is raw from all the moaning and the whimpering. And also because you’re scared of the talking. Terrified, really. Of the hurting that’ll come with addressing it.
So instead, you swallow and say softly, “I’ll be a minute. Just... need a sec before I move.”
He pauses, like he’s checking you over again, brows pinching. “I didn’t hurt you, did I?”
Not in the way he means.
“No,” you whisper. “Just… been out of the game for a while.”
He pauses but doesn’t argue. Just leans in and presses the gentlest kiss to your cheek.
“Okay,” he murmurs, brushing a damp strand of hair behind your ear. “I’ll start the shower.”
He slips out quietly, to the bathroom attached to your room. You hear the soft creak of the cabinets. He still remembers where everything is.
And then—of course—his phone buzzes.
You glance over. You don’t mean to look. You really, really don’t. You know you shouldn’t if you wanna rebuild trust and whatever. It’s just…It’s on the floor, fallen from his jeans with the screen lighting up.
It was taunting you.
And anyway, he’s the one that broke your trust first. He’s the one that made you so paranoid. He’s the one who made you like this.
Yeji
if i find out you went to that party tonight, hyuck, and didn’t tell her the truth, i will.
Your stomach drops straight through the mattress.
Another buzz.
Yeji
i’m serious. how long are you gonna keep it from her that it was lia you cheated on her with?
you’re ruining our friendship!
And suddenly you’re not warm anymore.
Suddenly you’re freezing. And hollow. And very, very awake and out of the afterglow sex haze.
You can’t breathe.
You feel sick.
Are you sick? Are you dying? Are you about to have a fucking panic attack?
Because it feels like something has clawed its way into your chest and is now eating you alive from the inside out.
Lia?
It all makes sense. It all echoes.
“That sweet boy we both used to love.”
“He’s not yours anymore.”
The door creaks again. Hyuck walks back in, towel slung low on his hips. Completely clueless.
“You okay?” he asks, soft and smiling. “Shower’s warm.”
You don’t answer because your heart is hammering against your ribs and because you physically, viscerally, cannot breathe.
His smile falters, just a touch.
And then you say it.
One word. One name.
“Lia?”
You’re not even sure if you want to scream at him, or sob, or laugh—because how dare he. How dare he touch you like that, kiss you like that, look at you like that, when he knew—he fucking knew—he’d fucked your best friend and said nothing.
The same best friend who held you while you cried over him for a year. Who told you it wasn’t your fault. Who had her arms wrapped around you less than an hour ago trying to comfort you about him.
You hold out his phone, pointing to the screen. “You fucked my best friend, Hyuck?”
He freezes. He lifts an arm reaching out towards you or towards his phone, you can’t tell. Probably the phone to see how much you know so he can spin it. Twist it. Try to manipulate this—manipulate you—again.
“Angel—”
“My name is Y/N.”
The words are a blade. His hand drops.
“Y/N,” he breathes, swallowing thickly, “it’s not what it looks like—”
But it is. You both know it.
“Yeji seems to think it’s exactly what it sounds like.”
And then it hits you. All over again. Yeji knew. Your other best friend. She knew.
Did everyone know? Everyone you loved? Everyone you trusted? Everyone you thought was safe?
And suddenly your knees give out. You drop to the floor, spine hitting the edge of the bed on the way down, but you don’t even register the pain. You’re already somewhere else, hands trembling, vision blurry, gasping like there’s no oxygen.
That fucking necklace around your neck—the one he gave you, the one you swore you'd never take off—isn’t fucking helping. So you rip it off. The chain snapping in your fist and you throw it. It lands at his feet.
It’s the first time you’ve taken it off since you were sixteen.
“Y/N—”
Hyuck’s voice sounds panicked now. Hurting. He kneels in front of you, eyes wide, reaching for you—
“Don’t you dare touch me!”
You flinch so hard you nearly hit the nightstand. You can’t stand the idea of him touching you now, even though you know there isn’t a part of you he hasn’t touched.
He freezes. Arm stopping in the air. His face furrowed. And you know that face. The face from the night, the one carved from guilt and horror and regret—but it’s too late.
It’s so late.
You’re sobbing now. And it’s ugly—gasping and choking and curling up on the floor.
“I—I didn’t mean for it to happen like that,” he whispers. “I never wanted to hurt you—”
You laugh. Actually laugh.
“You didn’t want to hurt me?” You shake your head, wiping your mouth with the back of your hand, spit and snot and mascara streaking your face.  “Hyuck, you fucked my best friend. And then you came here, tonight, and touched me like…like I was still yours.”
“You are—”
“No. No, I’m not!” You snap. “I don’t even know who I am right now. But I definitely am not—and never will be—yours again.”
“Please, Y/N,” he whispers. “Let me explain. It wasn’t—”
“You’ve had time to explain.” Your voice trembles, but the words are steel. “I gave you so much of myself. So much trust. So much love.” You swallow hard. “But it wasn’t enough, was it? You needed to fuck my best friend. And keep it from me. And somehow rope the other one into it too, so now—”
Your voice cracks.
“So now I can’t trust anyone.”
He opens his mouth, maybe to argue, maybe to lie, maybe to beg. But then he doesn’t. He doesn’t say a word. He just looks at you, regret written in every line of his stupid, beautiful face.
He doesn’t deny it. And that’s the last straw. You fold in on yourself. Arms wrapping tight around your knees as you bury your head and whisper: “I need you to leave.”
He doesn’t move.
You look up—eyes glassy, voice so quiet and weak.
“Get out, Hyuck. Now, please”
And this time, he listens. And you’re glad he listens. Because this time it feels different. This was it. The final fracture. Whatever you had with him? It’s dead now. You just wish you hadn’t kept it on life support for so long—wish you hadn’t clung so tightly to something already bleeding.
That thousandth cut finally bled dry.

Bob wasn’t used to being powerful.
It was strange, having his new abilities. He felt stronger, healthier, but he still felt like himself. Robert Reynolds, the vagrant drug addict dropout. He did his best to keep his powers at the forefront of his mind after remembering what he’d done to New York. He didn’t want to hurt anyone, especially not his new friends. And especially not you.
Bob tried to take things slow with you, always leaving you chances to back out. He knew he wasn’t an easy person to be with, and he honestly didn’t fully understand what you saw in him. But you stayed everytime. No matter how much he pointed out his faults, his flaws, you’d just smile and tell him you liked him anyways, as is.
It’s part of why he likes you so much. More than anyone he’s ever known.
Still, he tries to not come on too strong. He always makes sure to put you first. All the bare minimum boyfriend tasks; walk closer to the street, hold doors open for you, remind you everyday how incredible you are. In bed, it translates to making sure you cum at least once, preferably twice or more, before he does. Which is why it takes so long for him to let you blow him.
When it comes to sex, Bob is first and foremost concerned with not hurting you. He still gets nightmares of when you beat up you and the rest of the team as Sentry. You all laugh it off as a funny memory, tell him you forgive him, but it nags at him. He could hurt you so easily, and he would sooner die than do that on purpose. Anyways, he much prefers the way you look when he eats you out, eyes rolling back in your head, hands gripping his hair while he raves at you. He prioritizes your pleasure over anything else. The fact that you even let him have sex with you is the win from his perspective. Apparently, you don’t see it that way.
You’re seated in his lap, the two of you making out in his bedroom while the rest of the team is away on a mission. You palm at the grown bulge in his pants, breaking the kiss. “Can I please blow you?” you ask, with just a hint of a pout on your face. “I’m good at it, so I’ve been told.”
Bob is about to reply before you cut him off. “And if you say you just want me to have a good time, I will have a good time. I like taking care of you Bob. I just want you to let me.”
He shuts his mouth, looking up at you. It feels like a fever dream, a beautiful girl in his lap who desperately wants to suck his dick. It’s not like he hasn’t imagined it before. There’ve been plenty of long missions where he’s had to deal with his erections himself, and thought of you while doing so. Imagine it was your hand rather than his, how it would feel to have your lips wrap around his length, taking all of him into your mouth and down your throat. Just thinking about it now makes it even harder.
So instead of his usual deflection, he nods. “You sure? I don’t want to hurt you.”
You just grin, already tugging at his waistband. “Bob, we’ve had sex before. I know your dick is big. Congratulations, I will survive.”
He chuckles as he assists you in removing his pants, lifting his hips so you can pull them off along with his boxers before tossing them across the room. You settle yourself between his legs, licking your lips as you take in the image before you.
Bob’s cock stands at attention, red and desperate for touch, precum leaking from the tip. You glance up, waiting for consent before you make a move. Bob nods, awkwardly settling his hands by his sides, not wanting to touch you too intensely at first.
Bob Reynolds is no blushing virgin. He’s had sex, and had blowjobs before. He’s trying not to be too loud. He really, really does. Still, the moment your tongue swipes over his tip, he’s already groaning. “Fuck, baby.” he gasps, one hand flying to your head while the other grips the sheets beneath him in an attempt to ground himself. “So good, fuck.”
You take the base of his cock in our hand, getting a firm hold before you lick up the underside of him, taking your time to coat him with your spit. He does his best not to hold too tightly onto your hair for fear of pulling too hard. He keeps his eyes on you, memorizing the sight of your tongue sliding along his length, the feeling of you against his most sensitive parts.
“Tell me how it feels, baby.” you mutter, looking up at him with lust darkened eyes. “Don’t hold it in.”
Bob’s always been the talkative type. Before you, he tried to tone it down, considering most of his sexual experience was just flings. When you said you liked when he made noise, he took it to heart, letting his inner monologue escape his lips as you ravished him.
He nods, another moan escaping him as you take him in your mouth, at the heavenly feeling of your lips around his cock.
Try as you might, you can’t take his whole length in your mouth. You compensate with your hand on what you can’t fit, stroking him as you begin to bob your head on him, Bob groaning at the sensation.
“Holy shit, babe, oh my god.” he rambles as you take him in and out of your mouth, his knuckles beginning to turn white with how hard he grips the sheets. “You’re so fuckin’ beautiful like this, mouth full of cock. Should’ve let you do this sooner, fuck-”
He interrupts himself with another moan as you manage to take him ever deeper into your throat, his tip just touching the back of your throat. You continue at your pace, laser focused on his every move and sound, noting what gets the most reaction. You do it again, take him just that much deeper, and Bob almost cums on the spot.
“Oh my god, you’re so good. Holy fuck, you’re perfect, your mouth is fucking incredible.” He can feel your own moan vibrate around him, and he groans at the feeling in turn. He’s becoming convinced you’re trying to suck his soul out through his cock. He’d let you, if it feels this good. He’d let you do anything you want to him.
He’s still talking aloud, he realizes as you make a sound that at first verges on a laugh, shifting quickly to a moan as he accidentally jerks his hips up just a bit. “Shit, I’m sorry, a-are you good? Okay?”
You nod, wiping your mouth quickly and smiling innocently as you lower your mouth back onto him, one hand moving to cup his balls beneath his cock. Yet another string of curses escapes him at the feeling, the combined sensation of your mouth and hands becoming all too much. He can feel himself hurtling off the edge, towards absolute ecstasy.
“Oh, god, baby I’m gonna cum, where should I- can I cum in your mouth? Please? Wanna fill you, let you taste me.”
You moan around him, and Bob takes that as the affirmative. You continue, eyes closed as you concentrate on maximizing his pleasure.
“Fuck, baby, ‘m gonna cum, fuck, fuck!” he practically yells out your name as he finally cums, you taking as much of him as possible as he does, hot spurts of cum sliding down your throat. You take it like a champ, holding your position, still stroking the base of him and massaging his balls beneath that.
“Jesus fucking Christ.” Bob groans as he tries to collect himself, eyes coming back into focus to see you sit up, swallowing before licking what’s left of his cum off the tip of his softened dick. “You’re amazing.”
“You have a filthy mouth.” you chuckle, crawling up his body. “I don’t think I’ve ever heard you curse that much.”
“The things you do to me.” he smiles, leaning in to kiss you. He can taste the salty flavor of himself on your lips. “We should do that again sometime.”
You brush some fallen hair out of his face, grinning with satisfaction. “Told you I was good.”
“I never doubted you.” he assures you, pulling you into his arms as he flips you onto your back. “But now it’s my turn.”

Note
so I don’t know you but i’ve followed all this discourse and I first want to say I heavily relate to you and think everything you’ve said and done is valid and justified. and I honestly really hate the internet’s tendency to respond to almost every problem in any kind of relationship with “you should cut them off and find better people.”  I feel like they don’t understand that for a lot of people it takes a tremendous amount of time and care and effort to get close to people and that cutting everyone off at the first hiccup just leads to being sad and lonely. also, being told to be less kind to others is quite frustrating and never really solves…anything? it doesn’t mean your needs are more met just because you are doing less for others. the problem isnt not wanting to put in work, it’s wanting to have others support you back. cutting out the first part of the equation might “balance” it but it would just make me more unfulfilled. leaning into the relationships that make you feel most valued is good advice, and so is communicating with people you care about in regards to your wants and needs. I just feel the internet is far too trigger happy about ending relationships. and maybe this generation in general is. I kept having people tell me to break up with my partner when mental health and medical issues meant they had a really hard time communicating with me and needed far more support than they were able to give. which, fuck that, I should be allowed to express that I’m having a hard time without everyone jumping to “you should abandon them they’re treating you unfairly.” I’m so glad I did not. Instead we realized we both needed to lean a bit more on our wider support networks. Sometimes solutions do indeed exist. And it’s funny how the people who say “you deserve better” are rarely the people who actually step up to support you…
Anon, thank you. It's been disappointing that almost all of the online advice I've ever received about my mom is "go no contact" because she is sometimes selfish or immature. I don't want to go no contact with my mom. I want us both to grow as people and learn to talk to one another like adults.
"Go no contact" is not a conflict resolution strategy, it is a danger avoidance strategy. And it is sometimes the best solution, but ... actually addressing conflict is kind of essential if you want any of your relationships to other people to last.

౨ৎ —his little secret — ౨ৎ
You and Ghost had close relations, which he insisted on keeping private, no matter how much you asked to get serious.
He wouldn't let you flirt with other men, maybe he thought he owned you. He'd love you, open up to you, comfort you, let you comfort him, but once you weren't alone, he'd act like you were nothing. It was odd.
You were cuddling on his bed, his hand on your waist. but something bugged you. The way he wouldn't even consider a relationship with you.
You sighed softly, looking up at the man next to you. He glanced at you as soon as you let out the sigh, curious about what was on your mind.
Simon knew what was coming now, having expected you to bring it up again. He was quiet, keeping his hand on your side, waiting for you to speak.
“Simon, why do you not want a relationship with me.” You said looking up at him with those big doe eyes. He looked down at you, then away.
“What av I told yu about askin’ silly questions darlin.” He responded with an annoyed tone.
“Let me know— you always keep secrets from me.” You said as you sat up, your arm still against his chest. Looking straight at him.
“No, darlin’ the ansas no.” He groaned in annoyance, “ please, ghost! please..” you begged, not even giving him a chance to react.
“I don’t want a relationship with yu.” He hesitated before saying bluntly, throwing you off track. Your face looking at him with a confused look. This man has had you in every position, seen your weak spots— even at your most vulnerable times, this can’t be right.
“Is this a joke? It’s not funny, Simon—“
“No, is not. The truth is, i’m not interested in yu.” He shot back before giving you anytime to react
Saying such evil words broke her heart, she felt the waterworks flooding her eyes. You’d stare at him at your eyes went glossy with tears, he knew you were a sensitive person. He knew how overprotective of that v card you were, you didn’t wanna waste your one chance with a ‘man’ as a teenager.
You could hear him sigh when you put your hands over your face to try hide the tears, wiping them away urgently. Ghost tried taking a hand off of your face, trying to be all sympathetic. You pulled away, getting up off of the bed.
Regret filled your mind, wondering the worst of the worst scenarios you possibly could think of, even thought this wasn’t the worst thing however it meant the most to you. Just as you thought, he stayed sat on the bed, not budging a finger. Prick. You gathered your belongings, your clothes scattered on the floor and began to hurriedly put them on.
He flooded your phone after you left his house hurriedly put together, sending apology paragraphs, is this him making effort?
Bit different from the smut I’d post but feeling lowk emotional right now 💔
sorry I didn’t make one of these in like 3 weeks now 💔 I’ve been so busy but I’m back now.
Let me know if you want a part 2!

Huntr/x and The Saja Boys being Jealous
Tumblr media
Prompt : How Huntr/x and the Saja Boys would react to their partner being flirted with. @erisanix
Author’s Note : I’m so sorry it took me so long to get to this 😭 Hope you enjoy!!! So it was only after writing this (and preparing to publish this) that I realised you probably meant partner as in the reader... I'm so sorry- and will rewrite this if you want
Abby when someone flirts with Mira
The two of them are working out.
Neither of them need it but Abby insists that they work to keep their muscles in shape (insert unnecessary flexing here)
Some dude decides to work out next to them and when abby leaves to grab them water, the person takes their chance to talk with Mira.
His first reaction is to laugh.
Like, genuinely finds it funny.
How did anyone have the audacity to flirt with Mira???
“You’re trying to flirt with her?”
“Oh… you’re serious.”
He’d walk over, arm casually slipping over her shoulder as she glares at the person trying to make a move on her
He wouldn’t say a thing first and would just stand there smiling.
Normally, most people would use their brains and back off once they see that:
1. Mira isn’t interested
2. This huge guy with muscles in standing by her like a body guard and could very much easily beat them up
However, lets say the person keeps going
While Abby knows fully well that Mira can handle herself, he likes playing knight-in shining armour.
“She’s taken” he’d smirk condescendingly at the person (who is now shaking in their boots)
He doesn’t get jealous so much, but will get competitive.
It also gives him an extra EXTRA confidence boost knowing that he (and romance ig 😒) is actually Mira’s boyfriend.
“You think she’d want you? Try again in your next life.”
(He wouldn’t say this in front of Mira of course cause she would obliterate him)
Once they’re gone, he’s gentle and playful again.
“I feel bad for them”
“Why?”
“Don’t you remember how long it took me and romance to convince you to go out with us?”
“Yea-”
“And you liked us” he pointed out in disbelief “That poor person bro. They stood no chance” he’d shake his head dramatically watching the flirter walk away defeatedly.
Romance when someone flirts with Mira
They were both in the practice room. Mira testing out new lyrics with him and Romance just watching her.
A new staff member, who wasn’t briefed on any of the relationships between the groups, attempts to make a move on Mira.
Romance is smiling the whole time.
He doesn’t take the person seriously.
“Oh, you like her? Cuteeeeee. Same.”
Would hug Mira from behind mid-conversation (knowing full well she wouldn’t be able to attack him for the PDA in front of the innocent (and flirty) bystander), his chin resting on her shoulder as he more or less stares at her in awe.
“Isn’t she just perfect?” he’d say, looking smugly into the flirter’s eyes.
He, like Abby, is so confident in his position as Mira’s boyfriend that he has no need to be jealous.
And to be honest even if he did feel jealous, he used to be a powerful demon. Hiding a dead body wouldn’t be that difficult for him.
He wouldn’t mind outflirting the flirter to their face.
He would also let Mira do most of the rejecting.
He lowkey finds it attractive when she goes all “Sorry but I’m already in a relationship”
His head is filled with hearts and flowers and all he can think of is  ‘she loooooooves me~~’
But, If Mira gets visibly annoyed or uncomfy (and that would take a lot to happen), his smile turns sharp.
“You can leave now,” he’d say, eyes narrowed as he more or less forces the person away with his sharp gaze.
His tone is so obviously threatening.
Later, he’d make Mira and Abby laugh about it.
“You know I’m prettier than them, right?” he’d tell the two while laying across their legs on the couch.
Mira would roll her eyes but she wouldn’t disagree.
Abby would give romance a proud high five (or whatever it is bro’s do…)
Definitely throws in some extra flirty lines that night, just to remind her of the whole encounter.
Mystery when someone flirts with Zoey
The only Saja boy that would get seriously jealous.
This could go two ways though.
He could either get super protective over Zoey to the point where it’s lowkey animalistic…
I’m basically saying he might start barking at whoever is flirting with her 😭
Based off of his behaviour in the movie i’d feel like he’d try to freak the person out so they’d leave 💀
The more likely option would be for him to just freeze.
Doesn’t speak. Just stares.
You can feel how uncomfortable he is with the entire situation.
Lets say the two are hanging out after practice hours and they encounter a group of fans, one of them thinking they actually have a chance with Zoey.
I feel like Zoey would be completely oblivious to the fans' intentions cause she just wants to believe in the good of everyone.
Remember how she said the Saja boys were magicians even though it was really obvious they were demons 💀
Mystery, after attending to his own fans, just stands behind Zoey and watches,
He tries to pretend it doesn’t bother him but it obviously does.
He can’t stand still.
Crosses his arms.
Shifts weight between his legs.
Backs up a step only to come back up.
He won’t interrupt the conversation. Honestly he might just leave.
But Zoey usually finds him sulking in a corner later.
“You okay?”
“Why must you be so nice to people?” he be all frowny while flopping around on the floor”
“Thank you? she let out a small laugh before sitting by him and moving the hair out of his face.
“I don’t want you to be nice to everyone…” he’d be all flustered but still very upset. “Just me.” a small pause, “and huntr/x and the saja boys i guess…”
She ends up comforting him because his jealousy would manifest as confusion and anxiety.
Poor boy fears she’d still leave him because he used to be a demon.
Starts to lowkey improve his posture and fix his hair next time they're out.
He thinks no one notices but zoey does.
Jinu when someone flirts with Rumi
The pouty jealous one.
Not in a sad and anxious way like Mystery, but more in a ‘stop giving them attention Rumi~’ way.
Doesn’t react at first. He’s quiet, watching and assessing how serious the situation is.
If Rumi laughs at something the flirter says?
His jaw drops in disbelief. Like her audacity??
“Wow. Guess I’m just a background character now.” • Said this to no one but himself. He said it outloud.
Will walk up after the conversation ends like:
“So… did you have fun Rumi?”
“Who was that?”
“Do you like them more than me? Be honest. I can take it.” (He cannot.)
Rumi: “You’re literally the only person I want Jinu.”
Jinu, perking up instantly: “Okay :)”
Still clings to her for the rest of the day, just in case.
He could get super protective though.
They’d probably be out on one of their dates that apparently aren’t dates…
They’d stop for food at a restaurant and the guy taking the order is just so annoying and persistent about getting Rumi’s number.
At this his eyes sharpen, jaw clenches slightly. You’d only notice if you knew him.
He does not interrupt. He’d look to see how Rumi handles it.
If she looks uncomfortable?
He steps in immediately with that low, casual tone he has “You okay Rumi?”
He’s not even trying to be threatening. He’s kinda just making in known that he is the boyfriend.
Even Rumi is flustered with just how protective he’s being.
When they’re walking back to the company, his hand hasn’t left her waist at all.
“Some people just don’t seem to know when to stop talking” he’d mumbled under his breath.
Mira when someone flirts with Abby or Romance
If they flirt with Abby:
Someone’s trying to compliment his abs and muscles.
The person is being all sweet n touchy like
“Omg! You must work out really hard~~”
And he can see Mira seething in the background so he tries to make the interaction seem as friendly as possible.
She's watching it all happen with the flattest expression known to mankind.
Abby's being polite. He’s all smiles like “ooh thankyou :D”
Mira’s patience is running out FAST.
She's standing there, arms crossed, eyebrows twitching.
In her brain she’s absolutely berating the person.
“Can’t they tell that he’s taken??’
However she’d also be in denial about her jealousy.
“Like what do you mean jealousy? I was just worried that the person was wasting their time on you muscles brain” is what she would say if ever confronted about the situation.
She’d eventually calm down until Abby chuckles at one of their jokes.
Her head slowly turns and her eyes are comically wide.
She lowkey looks deranged…
“You think they’re funny?” • “No– I was just–” • “Mm.”
She’d kick him out of her car and leave him stranded on the street.
Eventually walks up casually, a hand on Abby’s bicep.
“Sorry, this one’s taken. But nice try.” Smile = threat.
Later in private?
She’s berating him.
“You’re such an attention seeker”
“I didn’t do anything..” he’s flabergasted
If they flirt with Romance:
Mira doesn’t even pretend to be calm.
The issue here is Romance is the type to flirt back. Not cause he’s a man whore or anything but he just loves when Mira acts all possessive about him 💀
She’s standing behind Romance while the flirter is mid-sentence, her arms crossed, lips pursed.
She’s giving them the look she normally uses to scare off demons before killing them off.
Romance obviously finds it hilarious and adorable.
Mira does not.
She doesn’t speak, just raises one brow at the poor soul.
This person must be blind or something cause they just keep talking???
Oh yea- Where did they meet the flirter?
The two went shopping for books. Yes. Books.
Romance thinks the best way to learn about human culture would be by reading as many novels as he can get his hands on.
This leads to the shop owner flirting with him as they try to recommend good books to read.
The flirter slides him a very steamy looking book and winks at him “This looks like something you’d enjoy if you know what I mean”
When the person keeps talking, Romance is smirking. • “You’re gonna die~” he whispers, all happy.
Mira steps up between them. • “If you value your ability to walk and want to keep your store, I suggest you shut up.”
Romance: 🥰
He won’t shut up about it later.
“I’ve never felt more loved.”
“You threatened violence for me.”
“Tell me again how you’d break their legs.”
He’s just a girl.
Actually he’d probably love saying “I’m just a girl” 💀
Zoey when someone flirts with Mystery
She’s oblivious at first.
Like I said up above, she’ll probably think the person is just being friendly.
“Oh my god, Mystery, they said you have pretty hair! Isn’t that sweet?” • Mystery is trying not to freak out
Eventually, she catches on.
She’ll see the flirter get all up in his space. They’d try to touch his hair, or interlink their arms, literally anything to have physical contact.
Mystery is physically recoiling.
“Wait a damn minute…”
Her whole vibe changes.
Remember how she “ended” mystery in the movie?
“You’re just my type 🤩 Oh well” stabs
Yea that switch up is how she’d treat the flirter.
Her voice is still sweet, but it’s weaponized sweetness.
“That’s my boyfriend.”
One sentence. That’s it.
The air gets colder. The fan who was flirting? Gone.
She then turns to Mystery like nothing happened.
“You okay?”
“You scared them away.”
“Good.” sips her drink
She becomes extra clingy later too. Not because she’s insecure.
She’d do it to reassure him that she wouldn’t be going anywhere regardless of how many people try to flirt with him.
Random compliments and forehead kisses.
“Your hair is pretty by the way.” she’d say this while tying it up into a bun to admire his face. “I’m the only one allowed to touch it though”
“Of course Zoey,” his voice is practically a whisper as she clings onto him.
Rumi with someone flirts with Jinu
They went to the movies together. A new lego movie came out and the last one Jinu saw was years ago so he begged Rumi to take him to see the new one.
She goes to collect popcorn, leaving Jinu to take his seat, and when she returns, someone is in HER chair. Flirting with HER boyfriend.
She’d try really hard not to react.
She wants to be chill. Really, she does.
But the moment someone says “Hey, what’s your name?” and reaches out to his arm?
She’s considering summoning her weapon and wiping their head off clean.
My girl is staring daggers.
Probably the most over protective in the group (could rival Mira)
After all, the guy died for her. Why would anyone even think they could try to flirt with him???
Stares daggers.
Jinu is too polite (and oblivious. The guy used to be a 400 year old demon. Anything he used to know about flirting is now irrelevant)
He smiles. Maybe even giggles just because of how nervous he is. • That is what breaks her.
She walks over calmly, “Sorry. That seat’s taken.”
If the flirter protests? “By who?
“By me. Go find another one.” Rumi’s losing her patience and the movie is about to start.
“I actually like it here,” they’d lean a tad bit closer to Jinu to spite Rumi.
Let’s not forget that Rumi is half demon though!! “That wasn’t a suggestion.” Her voice gets a bit more dangerous and unstable.
Once they’re alone again, she teases him about it.
“Did you like the attention?”
“Nooo– Rumi, no, I was scared. ☹️”
“You were giggling.”
“IT WAS A PANIC GIGGLE!!”
The next time they go out, she’s in his hoodie. Hair down (out of the braid 😋). Holding his hand. The message is clear: • Don’t even look in his direction.

you feel like a creep when you realize you've been staring at his throat for too long, and it's even worse when he catches you doing it. at this point in your relationship, he's way more relaxed about your affection, so even if he blushes a little at how much want is in your eyes, he still gives you that little lopsided smile and asks if there's something on his face (even if he knows you were just ogling him).
and when you get tired of just looking, the obvious next step is to get as close to him as you possibly can and get your hands and face on his neck: you trace it with your fingers, ignoring the obvious shiver that runs through him, and kiss your favorite spots (like the juncture of his shoulder and neck, his adam's apple, that spot behind his ear that makes him whine). he lets you play with him as much as you want, his hands wandering softly under your shirt and over your thighs, happy sighs and chuckles indicating that he'd like for you to keep going, please.
and when you're feeling a little bolder and all you want is to wreck him, your hips shift over his and you suck marks all over his pretty, sensitive skin, and all he can do is either hold on for dear life or beg a little. you pull away a bit and look at your work, his eyes glazed over and his neck starting to get those purple marks that he loves so much. you can't help but give in and kiss him all over his face next. the adoration in his eyes is enough to make you shift your entire behavior, and he's always secretly confused because a second ago you were ready to jump his bones and now you're just... soft? not that he minds! but he does wonder about it (he has no idea).
when he marks your neck instead and you show it around other people like it's no big deal (no, like you're proud of it) he gets a little high on that simple display of casualness, and more often than not he'll drag you somewhere empty and kiss you silly, until you're breathless and your legs are a little wobbly, while he looks like the proudest man alive. you like this side of bob, the one that is bold and silly and happy.
one time you tell him that you're too lazy to get up and go to sleep in the bed, so he picks you up and takes you there. you don't mention it, but your heart races, because it's easy to forget how strong he actually is. so one day, you're on his lap kissing him breathless, and you whisper in his ear that you'd like for him to do it again. he gets your legs to circle his waist and doesn't stop kissing you, and you swear to god you almost pass out.
every now and then he'll hold you down or press you against surfaces just because he feels like it, but it also reminds you of how strong he actually is. you can't help but shiver when he holds your neck in place while kissing you, not squeezing, just resting his hands on your skin.
when you notice he's getting restless during a meeting or something akin to a fight (which is happening less often than it used to), you drag him to an empty room before the lights start to flicker and ask him what he needs. sometimes he wants to be alone in the quiet, sometimes he wants a tight hug, and sometimes he wants to get himself inside of you and fuck you until he forgets why he was getting angry. it usually ends up with you propped up against a wall with your pants around your ankles and him panting on your neck, mumbling curses and biting his lips. what truly breaks you is how one of his hands always soothes your back, like he can't help but be careful with you even when he's being rough.
there's this really funny thing that happens every now and then where he sneezes when he cums. it doesn't happen all the time, but when it does he gets embarrassed and tells you to stop laughing at him, but it's too funny: at one point he's bucking his hips into your mouth, on the other he's brushing his nose with his hand. it's honestly endearing, but his neck gets all red when you tease him about it.
the first time you sucked him off, he was so quiet you were worried he wasn't enjoying it. then you looked up: both his hands around his mouth, eyes shut tightly and cheeks flushed. you stopped until he promised to relax. from then on, he's a brat, bucking his hips into your mouth, whining that he needs it wetter, that he wants to come in your mouth and make you all messy. but he's still too endearing for his own good, holding your hair back from your face, being careful not to hurt your throat, and thanking you every now and then.
he likes it when you kiss him right after he comes on your mouth. makes his head dizzy.

Hello! I'd like to please request a little scenario for multiple characters if possible; I'm especially interested in your take on this with Law, Sanji and Ace given their backstory. If you're open to writing for the ladies as well then adding Robin into the mix would be appreciated! My idea is simple; an S/O with a child, and the aftermath of discovering that fact. I don't mind if it's an established relationship and there just wasn't an opportunity to meet the kid before or something else, I just like the idea of these characters dealing with the concept of surprise family/parenthood, the angst that may arise from dealing with the role of a stepparent if they want a relationship (and its happy ending if possible!) Good luck with all the requests, I hope you have fun with them!

── .✦ Law:
Tags: Established Relationship, Surprise Family, Angst to Comfort, Fluff
The wind blows soft through the port town. Law steps off the ship, coat flapping behind him, hands in his pockets. He’s quieter than usual, eyes scanning the street ahead. He’s not here on a mission. He’s here for you.
You sent a letter three weeks ago.
Just one line: “I need to talk. Come if you can.”
Law doesn’t like surprises. But he comes.
He finds you standing outside a small house with peeling paint and flower pots on the windowsill. You smile when you see him, but it’s tight, like you’re scared.
He frowns “You alright?”
You nod “Yeah… I just—can we go inside? I don’t want to do this out here.”
Law follows you in. It’s warm. Smells like soup and soap. A small jacket hangs on a hook by the door. Not yours. Too small.
His sharp eyes catch it, but he doesn’t say anything yet.
You lead him to the living room and sit. He stands. Watches you.
You look down “There’s something I never told you.”
Law’s voice is low “I figured.”
You breathe in deep “I… have a kid.”
Silence.
You look up. His face is unreadable. Like ice. You hate that expression, it means he’s trying to think without feeling. To stay calm.
He speaks finally “How old?”
You blink “She’s five.”
He does the math. That means before him.
“She yours?” he asks, even though he already knows.
You nod “Yes. Mine. The... other parent's gone. Completely.”
He nods slowly. His voice is cold, but not cruel “Why didn’t you tell me?”
“I was scared.” You twist your hands “We met during a war. We never talked about kids, or… futures. Then we got together, and things felt good. I didn’t want to ruin it.”
“You thought this would ruin it?”
“I thought you might walk away.”
He looks away “You didn’t trust me.”
“That’s not fair,” you say, standing now too “I’ve been through things. I didn’t know how you’d react. You’re not… You don’t talk about family. You barely talk about your past.”
His jaw tenses. You hit a nerve.
You try softer “I wanted to wait for the right moment. But there never was one. Until now.”
Silence again.
Then small footsteps.
You freeze.
Law turns just as a tiny figure walks into the room, clutching a stuffed rabbit.
“Who’s this?”
Her eyes are big, curious. Law stares.
You kneel “Sweetheart, this is Law. He’s… He’s my friend.”
Law doesn’t speak. He just looks. She hides behind your leg.
You don’t blame her.
“She’s shy,” you say “But she’s smart. She reads pirates like storybooks.”
Law kneels too, finally, lowering himself to her level. His voice softens.
“I’m not here to hurt anyone,” he says “I’m just… surprised.”
Your daughter peeks out “You talk funny.”
Law blinks.
You laugh nervously “He’s from the North Blue.”
“Oh.” She tilts her head “Do you have a boat?”
Law nods “A submarine.”
Her eyes widen “Cool…”
She steps forward. He doesn’t move.
Then she offers her rabbit “You wanna hold Mr. Bun?”
You almost cry.
Law takes it. Careful. Gentle. Like it’s glass.
He looks at you over her head. Still unsure. Still quiet.
But he’s here, and he’s not walking away.
The rabbit sits on the table between you.
Law hasn’t said much since dinner. He eats quietly, politely. Your daughter sits beside him, munching rice balls like they’re treasure. She’s talking to him. A lot.
“Do submarines have beds?”
“Yes.”
“Do you sleep in them?”
“Sometimes.”
“Do you dream of fish?”
“…No.”
You nearly laugh into your cup. Law sends you a look. It says help me. You shrug. You’re doing fine.
When she finishes eating, you ask her to brush her teeth. She runs off with Mr. Bun in her arms. The house falls quiet again.
Law leans back in his chair.
“You didn’t even flinch,” you say “When she offered you the rabbit.”
He shrugs “She trusted me. I didn’t want to break that.”
You nod, chewing on your lip “That means a lot, Law.”
He looks at you. Eyes sharp but not cold “I’m not angry.”
“Really?”
“I’m hurt.” His voice is honest now “You didn’t tell me. I could’ve helped. Been there. Or at least known what I was walking into.”
“I know,” you whisper “I was scared. I didn’t want to push you away.”
“I’m not made of glass, Y/N. I’ve lost family. I’ve lost everything. But I never said I didn’t want to build something new.”
You look down at your hands “She’s my whole world.”
“I can see that.”
“And now that you’ve met her… what do you want?”
He pauses.
That pause stretches long and sharp between you.
Then, softly “I don’t know.”
You nod. You expected that. You’re not mad. Just scared again.
Law stands and walks to the window “She’s a good kid. Brave. You raised her well.”
You smile a little “She’s got my temper.”
“I noticed.”
You walk over to him. You both stare outside. The moon is bright tonight.
“I’m not asking you to be her father,” you say “You don’t have to… take that role if you don’t want it.”
He turns “What if I want to?”
Your breath catches.
“I don’t know how to be that,” he continues “A father. A parent. I’m… I’m a surgeon. A pirate. I know how to fight, how to cut, how to survive. Not how to raise a child.”
You place your hand over his “She doesn’t need perfect. Just present. Just kind. Even I didn’t know how to be a good parent.”
He watches you. Something cracks in his expression.
“I want you.” he says.
“I want you too.”
“But I can’t lie to you… I’m afraid. I don’t want to mess this up.”
You squeeze his hand “We’ll learn together. She’s not looking for perfect either. She just wants someone who doesn’t leave.”
That hits hard.
He nods and then tiny footsteps again.
Your daughter peeks from the hallway “Hey... can he read me a story?”
Law blinks “Me?”
She nods “You have a cool voice.”
You laugh softly “What do you say?”
He hesitates. Then walks over.
“Alright, let’s try.” he says “But only one.”
She beams.
You stand in the hallway, listening through the door. His voice is low, slow, careful. Reading a picture book about sea creatures. She’s tucked in, eyes half-closed. The rabbit is between them on the bed.
Law finishes the page. She murmurs, “You’re not scary like someone said.”
You gasp quietly. Betrayal.
Law chuckles “Someone said that?”
“Mhm. They said you’re all sharp eyes and brooding. But you’re kinda soft.”
Law mutters, “I am never going to live that down.”
You grin and walk back to the living room.
He stays. Finishes the story. Even tucks her in.
When he comes out, he looks… changed.
“You did good.” you say.
“I didn’t even sweat.”
“Liar.”
He sighs, then smirks “Okay, maybe a little.”
You take his hand again “So…”
“So.” he echoes.
“You staying the night?”
He raises a brow “You asking?”
You smile “I have tea. And a couch. Or a bed, if you behave.”
He smirks “I’ll try my best.”

Sanji flirts with you every time he sees you.
At the market “Ah, Y/N! Did the sun rise just to see your face today?”
At the docks “Want me to carry those for you, my love? Your hands are far too lovely for heavy lifting!”
Even after the battle in your city, where the Strawhats helped “You’re even more beautiful covered in blood. Should I be worried about how much I love that?”
You never fall for it. You roll your eyes. You walk away. You don’t even blush.
It drives him insane.
“You’re difficult to get,” he says one afternoon, following you through town “but I like that.”
“I don’t fall,” you say flatly “Especially not for men with hearts in their eyes.”
“Ahhh, but my heart is sincere!”
You stop and face him “Sanji. You don’t even know me.”
“I want to.”
You pause. He’s annoying, yes. But not bad. He’s never pushed you too far. Never said anything mean. Just flirty. Charming. Too charming.
You sigh “Fine. You want to know me?”
He lights up “Yes! Of course!”
“Then come with me.”
You lead him through town, away from the market, away from the noise. Into a quiet part of the island. A garden path. A small house tucked in the trees.
He’s still smiling “So this is where the beautiful Y/N hides. A date, then?”
You don’t answer. You open the door. Inside, it’s neat. Warm. Lived-in. There are toys in the corner. A tiny pair of shoes by the door.
Sanji frowns “Is this… your house?”
“Wait here.” you say.
You go into the back room. A few seconds later, you return, holding a small child. Sleepy-eyed. Holding a stuffed whale. While another lady leaves the house as if her job there is finished.
You look Sanji in the eye.
“This is my daughter.”
Sanji freezes.
Dead silent.
You wait.
You expect a nervous laugh. A fast goodbye. A dramatic “I’m not ready for this!” speech.
But it doesn’t come.
Instead…
“Her hair’s like yours,” he says softly “She’s beautiful.”
Your daughter rubs her eyes, looks at him “Who’s that?”
You answer “Just... a friend.”
Sanji kneels slowly “Hi, sweetheart. I’m Sanji. Can I say hello?”
She shrugs. He waves. She waves back with the whale.
“Nice to meet you, Mr. Whale.” Sanji says seriously.
You blink.
She giggles.
You didn’t expect this.
You make tea. Sanji helps. He insists, actually.
“She can’t have sugar this late.” you say.
“Then honey,” he says “Gentle on the stomach.”
You watch as he puts her cup in front of her like a butler. Bows. She bows back. You nearly choke on your tea.
“Do you cook?” she asks.
“Oh yes,” he says “Better than anyone.”
She claps “Make us dinner!”
Sanji glances at you. You nod. Why not?
He makes a simple meal. It smells amazing. Your daughter eats two full plates.
After, she sits in his lap and shows him a book of sea animals. He listens. Really listens.
You don’t understand what’s happening.
You were trying to scare him away.
Instead, he’s… perfect.
When she falls asleep, he carries her to her bed. Quiet. Gentle.
He tucks her in, fixes her whale beside her, and kisses her forehead.
You follow him back to the living room in silence.
“Well...” you say, still confused “That wasn’t what I expected.”
He smiles but smaller this time. Softer.
“I flirt because it’s fun,” he says “But I stayed because I wanted to see you.”
You stare at him “You weren’t scared?”
“I was shocked,” he admits “But not scared. You’re a single parent. That’s strong. She’s lucky to have you.”
You look away “I thought it would make you leave.”
“I’m not that easy to get rid of.”
You smile at that and look at him again. This time longer.
Sanji isn’t just charm. He’s heart. He’s warmth.
And… maybe you were wrong about him.
Your daughter’s asleep.
Sanji’s sitting on the couch, arms stretched over the backrest like he belongs there. His jacket is off, sleeves rolled up, and a soft smile on his lips.
He looks so… calm. Like this is normal. Like he wants this.
You sit across from him, legs tucked under you. You sip your tea. Your hands are shaking just a little, but you hide it well.
“Thanks for dinner,” you say “She loved it.”
“She’s adorable,” he says, smiling “And polite. You’ve done an amazing job.”
You stare into your cup “I didnt do it alone. But… it’s been a long time since I shared her with someone.”
Sanji watches you quietly. No teasing now. Just listening.
You swallow. Here goes nothing.
“So,” you say “I’ve decided something.”
He leans forward “Oh?”
You lift your eyes to meet his “I’m saying yes.”
His brows lift “Yes to what?”
You smile “A date.”
He freezes “Wait. A—really?”
You nod.
“I mean, I’ve been asking for weeks, but I thought you hated me.”
“I didn’t hate you,” you say “I just didn’t believe you.”
“And now?”
“Now I do.”
He stares at you for a second. Then a slow, beautiful grin spreads across his face. Like he’s won a war. Like the clouds finally moved for the sun.
He exhales like he’s been holding his breath for days.
“You—you have no idea what this means to me, Y/N.”
You chuckle “I might have some idea.”
“Do you want flowers? Candles? Music? Should I wear a suit? I’ll cook, of course—”
You laugh softly “Just come as you are.”
He runs a hand through his hair, suddenly flustered “I don’t think I’ve ever been this happy.”
You sip your tea again. Calm on the outside.
But inside? Your heart is thundering. So loud it feels like it echoes in your chest. And he doesn't even know your heart is actually beating faster than his own.
You’ve had to be strong for so long. For your child. For yourself. Love always felt like a luxury you couldn’t afford.
But Sanji… he’s something else.
Not because he’s charming.
But because when it really mattered, he stayed.
And now, you let yourself fall a little deeper.
You stand. Walk over. And press a soft kiss to his cheek.
He goes still.
You pull back and say quietly, “Can't wait for the date.”
His eyes widen, then fill with something warm surprised, happy, maybe even a little nervous.
“You… really?” he asks, softer than you’ve ever heard him.
You nod “Don’t make me regret it.”
His laugh is breathless “Never.”
You smile, heart pounding, but you don’t let it show. He doesn’t need to know yet how much this means.
A few nights later for your first date Sanji goes all out, but not in a flashy way. It’s thoughtful. Intimate.
He sets up dinner on the ship’s deck. Small candles, soft music from a den den mushi radio, and a view of the sea under stars. He cooks something warm and comforting, not fancy, just full of love.
You talk for hours. About silly things, quiet things, your pasts and dreams. It’s easy. He listens more than he speaks, and when he does talk, it’s gentle.
No cheesy lines. Just Sanji. Real and warm.
After dessert, he walks you home in silence. Not awkward, just peaceful. The kind of quiet where you don’t need to fill space.
At your door, he looks at you with hopeful eyes but doesn’t move in. He’s waiting for your choice.
So you step closer.
You kiss him.
Soft. Sure. Just once. But it’s full of everything you’ve been holding back.
When you pull away, he blinks like he’s just been hit by a wave.
You smirk “You were taking too long.”
He laughs, dizzy and full of stars.
And for the first time in a long while, so do you.

The sun burns above you. You’re lying on the deck of your ship, one leg over the other, a half-empty bottle between your fingers. Ace is beside you shirtless, grinning, sweat on his brow, flame flickering off his fingers like it’s breathing with him.
“You always steal my rum.” you say, kicking him lightly.
“You always keep it warm,” he shoots back “I’m doing you a favor.”
You roll your eyes “Your idea of favors sucks.”
He leans closer, his voice lazy and smug “You didn’t say that last night.”
You groan “Get a new line, fire boy.”
He grins wider. You punch his arm. He fake-winces, like it hurt. It didn’t.
That’s the two of you: teasing, biting, half-fighting, half-kissing. No promises. No labels. Just good fun and bad timing.
Pirate life is rough. You take what joy you can.
“Hey,” you say after a long silence, watching the sky “Wanna hear a secret?”
Ace smirks, eyes still closed “If it’s about that thing you did in the galley with the honey—”
“No, dumbass. A real secret.”
That makes him open his eyes. He turns to look at you “Alright. Hit me.”
You sit up. Serious now. The bottle rests on your knee.
“I have a son.”
Ace snorts “You what?”
You nod, eyes still on the horizon “Yeah. He’s five. His name’s Ren.”
He blinks. You go on before he can interrupt.
“I had him before all this, before the piracy, before you. I got caught in something messy with the Marines. To keep him safe, I left him with my parents. Changed my name. Ran.”
Ace stares.
You keep talking “I go see him when I can. Disguised. Just for a day or two. He thinks I’m some traveling doctor or something. He doesn’t know who I really am.”
You pause. Swallow.
“It’s hell, leaving every time. But I’d rather he grow up safe than have him hunted.”
Ace starts laughing.
You blink “What the hell?”
He’s full-on laughing “Holy shit, you got me! I thought you were serious. What is this, some new kink? Roleplay? Mommy pirate stuff?”
You just look at him.
Dead quiet.
No grin. No tease.
Ace’s smile dies instantly. The flame on his fingers goes out.
“…Wait,” he says “You’re not joking?”
You don’t say anything.
His expression changes fast… shocked, confused, then something close to guilt “You really…?”
You nod once “I’m not playing around.”
He runs a hand through his hair, suddenly tense “Shit.”
“Yeah,” you say, dry “That’s usually the first response.”
He opens his mouth. Closes it. Tries again “Why are you telling me this now?”
You shrug “I don’t know. Maybe because you’re the closest thing I’ve had to a real connection in years. Or maybe I just got tired of lying all the time.”
He stares at you.
You look away “I didn’t expect you to laugh. That sucked.”
“…I’m sorry.”
“Forget it.”
“No,” he says quickly “I’m serious. That was a shitty reaction. I just… I didn’t think you were the kind of person to hide something that big.”
You exhale “Turns out, I’m full of surprises.”
The silence between you is heavy now. Not like before.
Then Ace says quietly, “What’s he like?”
You blink “Huh?”
“Your kid. Ren. What’s he like?”
You smile a little “Stubborn. Smart. Messy. Loves drawing fishes. Hates carrots. Thinks I have the coolest boots in the world.”
Ace nods, quiet. He looks down, then up at you again.
“I meant what I said,” he murmurs “I’m sorry for laughing. And I’m… kinda honored you told me.”
You raise a brow “Didn’t peg you for the emotional type.”
He shrugs, eyes soft “Didn’t peg you for someone with a child.”
Touché.
Ace doesn’t talk much for the next few days.
No flirting. No teasing. Just quiet looks when he thinks you’re not watching.
You try to act normal with some old jokes, same smug grin as always, but you feel it too. Everything changed with that one secret. The space between you now holds more than just fun.
It holds truth. Real, heavy, warm truth.
You’re standing at the helm when he walks up beside you.
“I want to come.” he says.
You glance at him “Come where?”
“When you go see your son.”
Your hands tighten on the wheel “Ace—”
“I’ll stay out of sight. I swear. I just… want to see him. I want to understand what you gave up. What you’re protecting.”
You study him for a moment. His eyes don’t waver. There’s no joke. No smirk.
Just Ace. Real. Honest.
You nod.
Months later — The island is quiet. A small village with stone houses, chickens in the streets, a little bakery that still smells like your childhood.
You pull your hood low. Ace wears a cap, sunglasses... he looks ridiculous, but no one’s looking at him. Just another traveler.
Your parents’ house is at the end of the road. Garden full of wildflowers. Paint peeling on the fence.
Your son is playing outside.
He doesn’t see you at first. He’s chasing butterflies. Laughing. Barefoot.
Ace stops walking.
“That’s him?” he asks, voice rough.
You nod “Ren.”
Ace just stares. His hands slowly curl into fists.
You call out softly, “Ren?”
The boy turns. His face lights up.
He runs to you screaming. You drop to your knees and catch him in your arms. He’s warm. Real. Solid.
Ace looks away.
Inside, your parents keep things short. They know who Ace is. You warned them. They’re not happy, but they trust you.
You all sit outside. Ren sits on Ace’s lap by accident. You try to grab him, but Ace just holds him steady.
“It’s okay,” he says “He’s light.”
Ren shows him a toy ship made of sticks “I made this!”
Ace chuckles “Really? That’s better than some ships I’ve sailed on.”
You stare.
Ren grins proudly “My parent used to tell me stories. About pirates and fire powers. Did you know there’s a pirate who can set his fists on fire?”
Ace raises a brow “Sounds dangerous.”
Ren gasps “But so cool!”
You laugh softly. Ace sends you a small look. It’s gentle. A little sad.
Later, when Ren naps, you and Ace sit on the back porch.
“He’s amazing.” Ace says.
“I know.”
“You’re amazing,” he adds “You left this. For his safety.”
You stare at the grass “I think about quitting all the time. Just staying here. Being at his side full time. But… the world’s not kind. And if they find me—”
“I get it,” he cuts in “You’re doing what you have to.”
You glance at him “I didn’t expect you to care so much.”
He shrugs “Neither did I.”
Then he adds, “But now I can’t stop.”
Your heart stumbles.
“He’s got your eyes.” Ace says softly.
“Don’t get attached.” you warn “This life… it’s dangerous.”
“So is mine,” he says “But that didn’t stop you from letting me in.”
You look at him. Really look.
“I didn’t plan for this...” you whisper.
“Neither did I.”
But here you both are.
And suddenly, fun doesn’t feel like the right word anymore.
The sound of quiet laughter wakes you.
You blink against the morning light, still groggy, still warm under the blanket. It takes a second to remember where you are... your parents’ house, back in your old bed.
And then you hear it again.
Ren’s voice.
And Ace’s.
You sit up, heart skipping.
You slip out of bed, still barefoot, and pad toward the living room. And there they are.
Ren sits cross-legged on the floor, his little wooden ship in one hand, while Ace sits across from him, mimicking an enemy pirate voice.
“Noooo! You got me again, Captain Ren! My ship is sinking!”
Ren giggles and throws a pillow at him “That’s what you get, bad guy!”
Ace dramatically falls back, hands in the air “Ughhh… defeated by the mightiest pirate on the seas…”
Your heart squeezes.
Ace looks so natural. Hair messy. Eyes full of warmth. Like he belongs here.
But then your parents come in.
They freeze when they see the scene.
Ace doesn’t notice at first, he’s laughing with Ren, his smile unguarded.
“Ren.” your mother says, sharply.
Your son turns.
“Come away from him,” your father says quickly, stepping forward “Now.”
Ace blinks, confused “I—”
“Ren,” your mother repeats “Come here.”
Ren looks at you, unsure.
You step in “What’s going on?”
Your father’s jaw tightens “We don’t want him near the child.”
You stare “Excuse me?”
“He’s a pirate,” your mother hisses “A famous one. Fire Fist. He’s dangerous.”
“He’s also sitting on the floor playing ships...” you snap.
Your parents say nothing.
“You trusted me enough to come here with him,” you continue, voice rising “Now you’re trying to pull Ren away like he’s some kind of monster?”
“We’re protecting our grandson.” your father says coldly.
“From what? A man who’s been nothing but kind to him?”
“You don’t know what kind of life he brings.”
“I do,” you shout “I live it too. If you forgot. And yes, it’s dangerous. Yes, it’s hard. But Ace has done nothing but respect my family, protect me, and treat Ren with more care than anyone ever has!”
They go silent.
You’re shaking now, fists clenched.
“And for your information, I love him.”
The words fall like a hammer in the room.
Ren blinks.
Your parents’ eyes widen.
Ace just stares at you.
You don’t move.
You didn’t mean to say it... not like this, not loud, not angry... but it’s out.
And real.
You look at Ace, heart thundering “I love you.”
A beat.
Then Ace stands slowly, eyes locked on yours. He walks to you, quiet. The room holds its breath.
He stops in front of you.
“I wasn’t sure if I should say it first,” he says, voice low “Didn’t want to scare you off. But you beat me to it.”
You blink.
“I love you too.” he says.
He reaches out, gentle, and takes your hand.
Your parents stay silent. Ren looks between the two of you, then claps once like it’s the best thing he’s ever seen.
“Can I have pancakes now?” he asks.
You and Ace laugh at the same time, breathless.
And just like that, the tension cracks.

It’s late.
Most of the crew has gone to bed, except you and Robin. You're both in the library room. She’s reading. You’re not. You're just holding the edge of a piece of paper... frayed, uneven, and pulsing with life.
A vivre card.
You don’t have to look at it to know it’s still there. Still pointing somewhere far away, where you can’t be.
Robin closes her book softly “Is that what’s been on your mind all day?”
You glance over.
Of course she noticed.
You nod “Yeah.”
She tilts her head slightly “Can I ask who it’s for?”
You hesitate.
You’ve never told her. Not because you didn’t trust her, but because it always felt like a story that belonged to a different version of you. The you from before the sea. Before the Straw Hats. Before her.
But she’s already part of everything now.
So you answer.
“My son.”
Robin says nothing but her gaze sharpens. Attentive. Careful.
“He’s with his other parent now,” you continue, voice quiet “I raised him alone before I joined the crew. He’s the one who said it was okay. Actually, we were always together, in another small crew. Then he wanted a different kind of life. One with… peace. So we contacted his other parent.”
Robin nods, slow “He sounds mature.”
“He was always like that. Smarter than me, I think.”
There’s a short silence.
You look at the vivre card “I haven’t seen him since I joined. We talk through letters, sometimes den den mushi. But I don’t know when I’ll be able to see him again.”
Robin’s eyes soften “Do the others know?”
You shake your head “No. Just you.”
She reaches out. Her fingers brush yours, just enough to touch the vivre card “Thank you for trusting me.”
You smile, small but real “I didn’t know how to bring it up. I didn’t want you to see me differently.”
Robin hums “I already see you. Clearly.”
You blink.
She looks at you steady and kind “You carry something heavy. And still laugh with the crew. Still help cook. Still stand beside me in battle. That’s not weakness.”
Your chest aches in the best way.
She pauses, then adds, “If one day… you want to try and see him again, I’d go with you.”
Your voice catches “Really?”
She nods “Of course. I’d like to meet him. He sounds like someone I’d admire.”
You look down at the vivre card.
Still warm. Still burning.
Maybe not as far away as it feels.
It’s just past dinner.
You’re with Robin as she asked you to stay close. A soft excuse about helping her with some documents. You're both sitting on the floor, back against the wall, a soft lamp between you.
You have the vivre card on the table. You don't always keep it out, but tonight you felt the need to hold it.
You glance at the Den Den Mushi nearby.
You hesitate.
Then pick it up and dial a number you’ve had memorized since your hands first held his.
The snail blinks sleepily… then perks up.
“Hello?”
Your chest tightens at the voice.
You smile “Hey, kiddo.”
A pause, then, “IT’S YOU!!”
You laugh, caught off guard by the pure excitement.
“Oh my god—FINALLY! You didn’t forget me, right? You didn’t sail into a storm and disappear forever, right?”
Robin lifts an amused brow, watching you with quiet interest.
“I didn’t forget you,” you say softly “You know that.”
“Just making sure. I’ve been drawing so many sea monsters lately you would not believe. I made a kraken with three hats.”
You laugh again, voice cracking slightly “Three hats? He must be important.”
“Very.” He pauses, then adds, “...I missed you.”
You shut your eyes “I missed you too.”
Robin looks away respectfully, but stays close.
Then, from the snail: “Hey, wait—who’s near you? Are you with someone?”
You glance at Robin, who blinks, caught.
“She’s... a friend.” you say carefully.
Robin speaks, her voice soft “I hope I’m more than just a friend.”
The Den Den Mushi mimics a shocked face.
“...OH MY GOD. IS THIS YOUR GIRLFRIEND??”
You bury your face in your hand.
Robin chuckles lightly, graceful even when embarrassed “Hello. I’m Robin. It’s a pleasure to meet you.”
There’s a long pause.
“...You sound really cool.”
Robin smiles “Thank you. So do you.”
“Wait—how much do you know about them? Like... do you know about the time they tried to cook without instructions and set the wall on fire?”
You groan “Don’t tell her that.”
“It was a microwave! The noodles caught on fire!”
Robin’s shoulders shake with laughter.
You shoot her a glare that holds no heat “I regret this entire call.”
“No you don’t.”
And he’s right. You don’t.
Not even a little.
Later, when the call ends, you sit in silence.
Robin’s hand reaches for yours “He’s amazing.”
You nod, voice soft “Yeah. He really is.”
She squeezes your hand gently “He has your spark. And your chaos.”
You smile through the ache in your chest “He’s better than I’ll ever be.”
Robin rests her head against your shoulder.
“You’ll see him again. When the time is right. And I'll be with you... if you want me.”
"Of course I do."
And somehow, with her beside you, that feels like a promise you can believe in.

[my masterlist] [Harry Castillo masterlist] [a beautiful little lie- series masterlist]
Harry Castillo had thought for years that he was incapable of love. Several failed relationships, Lucy and his age had convinced him more and more of it. His younger brother was already married, his parents had lived happily for so many years, and only Harry was still single. And when he was slowly starting to accept it, which was hard because he really dreamed of a relationship full of love, understanding and support, you appeared.
Loving you came naturally to him, like breathing. The friendship that had developed between you was a solid foundation on which you had built what you had now. And Harry loved every single element of it.
Your clothes next to his. Cosmetics on a separate shelf. Another bathrobe in the bathroom, trinkets scattered throughout the apartment, subtle traces of someone's existence that he had stumbled upon in the apartment that had finally become a real home. When Harry came home from a meeting and found that you had made dinner and even baked cookies, he completely lost his mind.
Loving you was so easy.
After all, he held someone in his arms when he fell asleep and woke up next to them in the morning. After all, someone was waiting for him. Someone wrote him sweet and funny messages, or at least "Milk's out, can you buy some when you get back?". Harry accepted it all and was grateful for every day. You were completely on his side, at work and in life. He couldn't have wished for anything more.
This party was really important because it was connected to the annual awards ceremony. The invitation came a month ago, but it was only recently that Harry finally convinced you to let him buy you a decent dress.
You didn't want any gifts from him, even though he kept saying it was his pleasure. So far, he had bought you a few books you had talked about and a lipstick you had once looked at while shopping. But the dress and the lingerie were something he really wanted to give you.
“You look stunning.”
You smiled, applying lipstick and looking at him in the mirror. “Are you hitting on me, Castillo?”
“Maybe.” He walked over to you and kissed your exposed shoulder tenderly, then your neck. He looked ridiculously good in his well-tailored suit and combed hair. “I think something’s missing here.”
“What?” You frowned. You really tried to look good tonight. The party was really important, even though Harry was downplaying it again.
Harry left the bathroom for a moment and came back, holding a velvet, oblong box in his hands. You guessed what he was planning, and your legs almost buckled.
“You need a subtle accessory.” he said. “Close your eyes and turn around.”
You did as he asked. Something soft brushed against your neck, then landed on your skin. It took your breath away. A sweet kiss followed, and Harry quietly whispered, “Open your eyes, love.”
A delicate necklace appeared around your neck, simple and elegant, but you couldn’t tear your eyes away from it. Harry must have noticed, because he was staring at your reflection in awe.
“Do you like it?”
“This is…” you ran your fingertips over the necklace, feeling how delicate it was. “You shouldn’t, Harry… It’s stunning. But this dress… And this…”
Strong arms wrapped around your waist as Harry rested his chin on your shoulder, “Let me spoil my girl. I know you don’t want to, but I love making you happy.”
“You do that with other things, they don’t have to be gifts.”
He smiled, sensing the other side of your statement. “And I know you’re not with me for the money, but for my charming personality.”
You turned in his arms, placing yours on his shoulders, leaning against the marble counter of the sink.
“And to your ass. You look so good in those pants.”
“Really?” Harry raised an eyebrow, barely holding back a chuckle.
“And for your broad shoulders. I think I could find a few more useful pieces.”
He shook his head in amusement before leaning down, brushing the corner of his lips against yours, careful not to smudge your lipstick. “You know I love you?”
You pouted. “You’ve mentioned it once or twice.”
“So I’ll keep reminding you of it for the rest of my life.”
The conference room of one of the most expensive hotels was filled with elegantly dressed guests. You and Harry sat at one of the tables covered in a crisp white tablecloth, surrounded by other businessmen and their partners. Conversations flowed freely, champagne was poured regularly into crystal glasses, and a band played pleasant music.
Harry's hand rested on your knee, occasionally moving to your thigh, which he squeezed lightly, and then he smiled at you like a child caught with his hand in the cookie jar.
"I hope you get an award this year, Harry." Mr. Novak sounded, and the whole table burst into laughter. "I'm not kidding! You're great at what you do, lots of innovative approaches."
Harry smiled politely. "Thank you, but I didn't do anything by myself. I have just as hardworking people around me."
You smiled, feeling a significant squeeze in your thigh. The respect Harry had from others was always a source of pride. The hard work he had put in over the years was noticeable, and now he was reaping the rewards.
"However, I heard that your last contract was taken over by Ms. Kruger-Waltz." The older woman with beautiful silver hair smiled politely at Harry. "I like her, I've always been inspired by strong women."
"Mrs. Waltz is very good at what she does, we have to admit that. I lost, but Mr. Williams will definitely be pleased, and that's the most important thing."
The entire table agreed with him, and after a moment, as if on cue, everyone looked towards the podium, where a beautiful woman stood with the host of the event.
The awards ceremony began. The guests politely applauded the winners, who treated them to short and funny speeches. You sipped your champagne, feeling Harry's warm hand on your thigh, and when no one was looking, he brushed his lips against your arm, gently tickling you. He wanted to say something, wanted to suggest that you leave the party with him, and go home where you could be alone, when suddenly someone called his name and everyone at the table started clapping vigorously.
"Congratulations!" the man sitting next to him patted him on the shoulder, showing snow-white teeth.
Harry stood up uncertainly, because everyone was looking at him. It was still a bit embarrassing for him. But he felt something. You squeezed his hand, giving him the "I'm with you" signal, and he immediately felt stronger.
He smiled at the guests, and then, instead of going straight to the podium where his award awaited him, he leaned towards you and kissed you. The room filled with cheers, but you were in your little bubble for that brief moment. And when Harry walked between the tables, you could still feel his warm kiss on your lips.
“We should get out of here.”
“You should stay here a little longer.”
“Don’t tell me you like this food.”
“I won’t, but I like your suit.”
Harry kissed your neck and smiled, hugging you tighter. A dozen or so other couples danced next to you to some old song. Your fingers played with Harry’s hair at the nape of his neck as you swayed like everyone else. It was late, but many people were still having fun. Every now and then someone would pat Harry on the shoulder and congratulate him, and he would smile politely.
“You know I’m proud of you?” you asked quietly.
“Really? Why?” he looked at you with interest.
He saw your gaze shift to the guests in the room, then back to him. “You’re the same as you were when I first met you. You’re successful, you sign contracts, you manage money that most people never even saw, and you’re still the same Harry that hired me. I’m proud that in this crazy world, you’re still you.”
He smiled as he felt your words sink in. You were his greatest prize, and the way you supported him made him feel almost invincible. All of these people around him, this whole world, didn’t matter when he held you in his arms. He only needed you.
The night was pleasantly cool as you stepped outside to wait for your car. Harry’s jacket rested on your shoulders as you stood among the lonely guests who were also waiting. In your mind, you were planning a lazy weekend for the two of you, maybe to visit the new bakery that opened nearby, maybe go to the movies…
“Harry? Congratulations. You definitely deserve this award.” a familiar voice rang out behind you.
Diane appeared in a gorgeous black dress with beautifully highlighted red lipstick. Despite the late hour, she looked phenomenal.
"Thank you," Harry replied politely, and his hand that was around your waist squeezed you lightly. A familiar signal. "It's nice to see you. You look wonderful."
Diane lit a cigarette and took a drag, looking at you carefully. "I don't think you should compliment another woman when your lady is right next to you, Harry. It's a bit tactless."
"Don't worry. My lady knows she's the most important." he smiled at you. "I'm glad you found the time to show up here. You must have a lot of work with Mr. Williams."
Diane glanced at the car that had stopped in front of her. “That’s mine,” she muttered, stubbing out her cigarette in the ashtray against the wall and giving you another look. “I think we’ll meet again. Maybe you’ll win next time.”
“I’ll try. Have a nice evening, Diane.”
She got into the car and the driver closed the door behind her and a moment later they drove off.
For a moment you both stared at the place where she had disappeared until Harry finally spoke. “You know, I feel sorry for her. And even more for you, because Diane attacked you.”
“I thought about that too. She must have been really hurt.” you replied. “She was driven by emotions, and emotions are not always good advisors.”
Harry nodded, hugging you tighter as your car pulled up onto the sidewalk. The driver got out and politely opened the door for you. You thought about Diane for a moment longer, grateful that the encounter hadn’t turned unpleasant. Harry was level-headed and calm, even though you knew the situation had upset him greatly. But maybe, if it weren’t for Diane and that rumor, you would still have tried to keep your relationship a secret? Maybe something good would have come of it?
3 months later.
A cold had confined you to bed for over a week. Harry had asked the doctor to make a house call, and he had immediately prescribed you antibiotics and told you to stay home. It took you a while to convince Harry to sleep separately.
“I don’t want you to get sick too.” You said with difficulty, because your throat was aching. “I’ll go to the guest room and turn on the air purifier.”
But he refused. He took the guest room, although he spent as much time with you as his work allowed. When the situation allowed, he tried to work from home, exchanging messages with you if you needed anything. It took you two days to take a shower, and in the meantime, he quickly changed your sheets.
Harry Castillo was the perfect caregiver, and you couldn’t remember anyone ever taking such good care of you. And when he mentioned you were sick during a conversation with his mother, she asked her cook to prepare broth for you, which was quickly delivered to her son’s apartment.
“If I hadn’t stopped her, she would have come here to take care of you.” Harry said with a smile, placing a tray of steaming soup on your bed.
"She's wonderful." You replied, your voice slightly hoarse. "But I wouldn't want her to end up like me. You're different."
"Yeah, I'm a volunteer." Harry burst out laughing.
His mother liked you from the first time you met, even though you were totally scared and tense at the time. The Castillos' house was impressive, surrounded by a beautiful garden and a tennis court, but his parents turned out to be really warm and wonderful people. They immediately invited you to visit more often, even without Harry, to which you only responded with a polite smile.
Your relationship was blossoming and it didn't interfere with your work at all, which you were a little afraid of. You were still sitting at your desk, still doing what you were doing, only in the office next door was a man you really loved and with whom you went home.
"I'm back! Dr. Phillips said I can go back to work now, so you can't keep me at home anymore." You threw your bag on the console by the wall and took off your shoes. "Harry?"
You entered the living room and stopped dead in your tracks. There were two suitcases in the middle, which confused you a little.
"Harry?" you repeated in a slightly surprised voice, he came out of the kitchen wiping his hands with a towel. "Are you going somewhere?"
"No, we're going together" he replied smiling.
You frowned. "No. Mr. McMurphy clearly invited us to his place next month. I read his email" you replied, pulling your phone out of your pocket and quickly scrolling through it. "Yes, that's exactly what he wrote".
"We're not going to Los Angeles, honey. I'm taking you somewhere else".
The confusion and disorientation on your face were so adorable that Harry wanted to kiss you. "We're going to Italy, baby, Rome to be exact".
Even more surprise. Now you were looking at him as if he had completely lost his mind. "Why?" you finally blurted out.
“Remember when we were at our favorite Italian restaurant a few weeks ago, you said it would be great to eat real pizza in Rome while watching the sunset and the Colosseum?”
"Harry... People say things like that, but that doesn't mean you have to do it right away..."
He walked past the suitcases and approached you, smiling like he thought it was a lot of fun.
"But we can. And we will. I've already taken care of everything, with Susan's help. Now you should relax somewhere warm and beautiful. Rome is perfect for that."
"But Harry..."
“No buts. We’re leaving the day after tomorrow.” He said, placing his hands on your hips and kissing your forehead. The decision had already been made, you had no say in the matter. “We have to stay until Saturday because my mom absolutely wants to see us for dinner tomorrow. She said you must look really hungry after being sick and that she’ll make your favorite dessert.”
You rolled your eyes because you knew you couldn't win with him. "Sometimes you can be insufferable, you know? You're lucky I love you."
“Yes, I’m lucky.” He mumbled, leaning down and kissing you.
You didn't know what you had done to deserve what happened to you with this guy. Harry made you want to be a better person, while knowing that who you were was enough. He brought out the best in you, and you loved him for how warm and caring he was, and how safe you felt with him.
Harry felt like he had finally found what he had been looking for for so long - he felt complete. You gave him a sense of peace and stability. You loved him the way he always wanted to be loved by a woman, and when he showed you his vulnerability, you accepted him completely, just the way he was. He couldn't have been happier.
But you didn't know that when Harry was packing that evening, a small velvet box was hidden in his suitcase, between his shirts. And what neither of you knew was that you wouldn't be coming back from this trip alone...

ʜᴏᴍᴇᴍᴀᴅᴇ ᴄʀᴇᴀᴍᴇʀ
Solivan is a perverted bastard and fucks with your coffee when you decide to meet up with him in the library to study.
cw/tw: food tampering, bodily fluids in your drink, pre-established relationship
Solana version
note: decided to make another one of these 'yandere character puts weird shit in your food/drink' but with the og version of Solivan
also I am a firm believer that if given the chance, sol will put his damn semen in our food he cooked cuz he's a creep... he's a weirdo... (haha im so funny)
The Kid at the Back is an 18+ game and this post will contain 18+ content MINORS DO NOT INTERACT
Tumblr media
"Let's meet up tomorrow at the library to study for the upcoming exam!" You suggested, slipping the strap of your bag over your shoulder. "Does that sound like a plan?"
Sol nods, watching you walk out the classroom with a wave.
Now it's tomorrow. In his hands were both yours and his coffee orders from the cafe you've been talking about nonstop. Sol chuckles to himself at the thought of your excitement from the surprised drinks he bought for you.
But that's not all he has planned for you.
Alone in the cafe bathroom, door locked and shut to keep pesky intruders out, Sol unzips his jeans, shimming both it and his boxers down to his thighs. Sol's cock hits his lower belly with a soft 'plap'.
Breathing a sigh of relief from the restraint, Sol removes the plastic lid of your cup, breath hitching from the hot steam hitting the mushroom head of his cock.
It sends shivers down his spine, taking his cock in a tight hold and stroking himself up and down, rotating his wrist when he reaches to his head.
"Fuck..." Sol breathes, resting against the wall of the bathroom stall, cheeks red. His grip on the cup shakes, fucking his cock into his hand faster, the wet squelching noises echoing in the in the empty room.
He wonders what your expression will be when you taste your drink. Will you like it? Or will you notice that somethings wrong with the taste?
He fucks into his fist faster, whimpers escaping his lips. Do you trust him enough to not put anything in your drink? Maybe you secretly liked it.
"H-hah~" Sol groans, arching his back slightly. If you did like it, do you want to take it from the source itself? The mere image of you on your knees in front of Sol, licking at his cum leaking from his tip, tits free from your shirt, has the knot in his stomach snapping.
Thighs quivering from the onslaught of pleasure, Sol lets out a loud moan as he shoots his load into your drink. He gives his cock gives a few more weak pumps before hastily setting your cup on the floor before letting his limbs go weak.
I... didn't last long, Sol thought, a bit embarrassed before popping the cap back onto the cup, fixing himself to look presentable for you. No matter, meeting up with you is what matters right now.
.
"Oh, Sol! You're finally here!" You give him a warm smile, standing up from your table to give him a hug, definitely not noticing how he sniffed your hair.
"Yeah, sorry for being late." Sol frowns, pretending to be ashamed at his tardiness. "Turns out that cafe you were talking about is pretty popular, but I ended up getting you a drink."
Gasping, you take the drink from his hands, nearly purring from the warmth spreading throughout your body. "Thank you so much! You didn't have to." And in front of Sol's watchful eyes, you take a sip.
Smacking your lips a few times, you wrinkle your brows, examining the drink. "The taste is... unique"
Sol is quick to ease your worries. "They make their own creamer for drinks." he shrugs. "Maybe it has ingredients you don't normally find in stores." phew, what a save.
Eyeing the drink, you take another sip to decide if you were going to drinking the entire thing. "Yeah, maybe you're right, it's not too bad." And you went back to your table, taking another long sip before setting the cup aside.
Sol gulps, feeling his dick twitch as he watched you take big gulps of your drink here and there. You ended up liking his little surprise~
"Hey Sol, do you know how to solve this problem?" You pointed at your paper, causing Sol to snap out of whatever horny mindset he had.
"Yeah, so you subtract this problem first, then divide the answer to the original problem." He trails off.
Maybe he'll give you a few more drinks full of his home special creamer in the future and maybe... you'll want to come home with him to watch him make it.

Sugar Daddy! Sylus
Sylus x Reader
Tumblr media
You thought Sylus was just your mysterious, well-dressed sugar daddy. Then you landed an internship - only to discover he’s the CEO.
tags: 18+ nsfw/smut, sugar daddy sylus, bratty mc
Part 2 💗
────── ❀•°❀°•❀ ──────
“You think you have a chance with me?”
You can’t help the disgust that floats to your face as you stare down the plain, absolutely mid male specimen standing across from you, face reddening with anger, embarrassment or both - you don’t really care. The audacity to ask for your number. Who does he think he is?
“I- Who do you think you are?”
He stutters in disbelief.
You scoff at his stupid question.
“Someone out of your league. That’s who I am.”
You ignore the growing crowd of passersby, too busy eavesdropping to move along.
You cross your arms, weight on one leg, as your pink, shiny miu miu purse hangs from your wrist.
“That doesn’t mean you can be an asshole?”
He fixes his black backpack, which, is as bland and boring as his looks.
“Actually. It does. Why should I be nice to someone who insults me?”
You rake your shiny nails through your long hair.
“I just asked for your number!”
He exclaims, both hands out in disbelief. ”Exactly.”
You say, flatly. Looking at him straight in the eyes.
He must’ve realized you’re a class A bitch that can’t be reasoned with. Though he looks infuriated, he shakes his head and starts walking off.
“You need a therapist.”
He says, turning his head back one last time.
“And you need a reality check!”
You shout, smug smile on your face as you watch him scurry off in embarrassment.
Head high, you continue down the campus road to your destination.
You ignore people - guys, as usual - staring your way as you beeline for the sleek black Maserati parked by the road.
You open the passenger door and climb in.
“Someone looks happy today.”
A familiar velvety voice greets you from the driver’s seat.
You ignore his gaze on you as you fasten your seatbelt and settle your bag in the car.
“Rather, it’s the opposite.” You open the glove box and roam for your sunglasses. “Some ugly guy just asked for my number.”
You look to Sylus as you wear them.
His easy-going crimson eyes are upturned into an amused smile.
“Why do guys do that?”
“Why do guys do what. Ask for a beautiful girl’s number?” He asks, patiently.
“Ask for someone way out of their league.” You huff.
“A guy can shoot his shot.” Sylus shrugs and answers.
“Well, it’s insulting. Is what it is.” You sink down in your seat as Sylus chuckles and adjusts the gear. The car starts smoothly coursing through and out of the campus.
“So did you give him a lesson, kitten?” He asks you, eyes fixed on the road. “Is that why you look so happy today?”
“What do you mean by that?” You shoot him a sharp look, to which he smirks. “Not as much as I would’ve liked. The more I think about it. The more it infuriates me.”
“Well then,” Sylus says, voice low and easy, “I guess our kitten should buy something extra special today.”
“Oh daddy.” You hide a laugh behind your hand as you stroke his firm, thick biceps, fitted around his crimson shirt, as they flex under your touch. “You spoil me!”
────── ❀•°❀°•❀ ──────
Sylus was a peculiar man. You’d had your fair share of sugar daddys, but none quite like Sylus.
In his early-40s, he was as handsome as they come - well defined, manly features honed into a strikingly, almost obsessive clean cut appearance, alongside his toned, muscular body.
The air he carried himself with asserted dominance without him even trying. There was a particular easy-going nature about him that could only be found in predators at the very top of the food chain.
So when he had suggested the particular relationship, it was like you’d hit the jackpot.
He’d spoil you with the most expensive things - from jewelry to bags, a vacation in Europe with private jets and five star hotel exclusive suites. And you’d also get to enjoy his handsome, funny, gentle, and dashing company!
But for some reason, even after months of meeting, he wouldn’t cross the line like so many others try to do eventually. He wouldn’t ask anything personal, like your family life or your closest friends. He wouldn’t get jealous, or possessive. He wouldn’t be needy about texting.
But most of all, he wouldn’t ask you to do any sexual favors.
Most he would do was place a hand around your waist as you walked or sat beside him, or pull you in for an embrace or a chaste peck on your forehead.
For some reason his gentlemanly stature made you crazy adamant on seducing him. Coerce him, push him over the edge, until he breaks the facade and makes the first move. Begs you to let him touch you.
You wouldn’t do any thing overly suggestive. That would make you the loser.
You’d linger your touches just a slight. Accidentally press your chest into him as you walked through a busy street. Touch his thigh as you laughed at something funny he said. Whisper in his ear when you didn’t really need to. Meet his gaze. Really, meet his gaze, with a suggestiveness hard to ignore.
It wasn’t long until he unraveled.
Now, after a few years into the sugardaddy-baby relationship, sex had become something he’d demanded exclusivity. Of course, with extra benefits alongside the extra condition.
Most times, like today, he’d pick you up and go for a date - some shopping, dining, and then to a hotel or his place. Sometimes, he’d call you impromptu. And you were to drop anything you were doing and visit wherever he was to have sex with him. Sometimes it would be in a car, parked remotely. Or in a fancy hotel where he was in the middle of a meeting of some sort, with some fancy business men, in a meeting hall. Or in the restroom of a fancy restaurant, for some reasons unknown.
But despite all this, he would never tell you where he worked, or what he did for a living. It made you almost certain he was a drug dealer. Or a mafia boss. of some sort.
“Ah, fuck- yes. Daddy, fuck me right there-”
Your scream echoes through the expansive hotel suite as Sylus pounds you from behind. The sound of skin slapping skin, alongside the lewd sound of squelching - from a mixture of your own juices to his cum - play in the background.
“You like that, kitten?” His fingers thread through your hair as he grips it and pulls your head back to face him. You nod, tears in your eyes from the ecstatic pleasure. Through the tears you meet his eyes, dark and focused, almost angry from pleasure and need.
It sends a shiver down your spine.
“Ah- if you clench like that,” A slap comes down on your ass. You moan and bury your head in the sheets. It elicits a groan from him. “-daddy’s going to have to cum again.” His deep, ragged voice scolds you, as he thrusts deeper.
Every thrust starts sending a jolt up your spine. Your body starts to tremble. Your moans muffle in the sheets.
“Raise your hips.” He orders, as your posture begins to falter. You try, but your limbs feel like jello.
He places his large two hands on your hips and sharply brings it up - just in time with a deep, controlled thrust, down to the very base of his length, his pubic bone burying itself in your ass - his glans hits your g-spot so hard, you end up screaming his name while squirting all over his cock.
“Sylus- wait- I’m still cumming-!”
You urgently exclaim as he doesn’t give you a moment to calm down. He grips your hips as you jerk and attempt to run away from the pleasure, and pounds into it relentlessly, ignoring your complaints.
“Ah, kitten, feeling, good?” He growls between each thrust. You shake your head in plea to stop the overwhelming pleasure washing over you. Another slap comes down on your ass. “Don’t lie, to daddy, you’re still squirting, so much. Ah, fuck, I told you I’m gonna cum if you clench like that-”
His groans get deeper and messier, as his thrusts that pound down relentlessly fast. The bedframe rattles as your body slams into the mattress with each fast thrust. You don’t even have it in you to moan anymore. Your mouth is agape while your body jerks and trembles while he pounds into you, until one strong thrust, where Sylus groans, deep and dirty, and you feel his cum shooting inside and coating your walls, thick and hot.
“You’re still shaking.” You hear him say from behind you, breathless, as he pulls out his length from you. You twitch again as you feel him pushing the leaking cum back in you with the tip of his length.
“I think you get more sensitive each time we do it.” He says as he turns you over to inspect you.
Dazed, you meet his languid, gentle eyes.
“Maybe my insides are slowly molding to yours.” You manage to say, swallowing hard to calm yourself down.
He leans in to press a tender kiss.
“Don’t say things like that, kitten.” He warns, after pulling back.
“Why not?” You ask him as he lies down beside you and pulls you in for an embrace.
“It’ll make me greedier.” His lips curl into a smirk.
“What’s wrong with that?”
“Well, for starters. You have a bright future ahead of you.” He states, matter of fact.
You don’t fully understand what he says.
“Not really. Oh- right! I forgot to tell you.” You meet his inquisitive gaze as you excitedly chatter. “I got a marketing internship this summer!”
“Really? Well congratulations!” He pats your head affectionately. “At what company?”
“Onychinus!” You notice his eyes flicker. “I don’t know if you’ve heard of it. It’s a really big international trading company - apparently mostly for minerals and ores!”
“Oh really? That’s great news.” He chuckles. “When do you start?”
“June first.”
“In two weeks, huh.” His eyes have an amused light in them. “Do they pay you well?”
“As much as a grain of sand compared to you. But what can I do. That’s life, I guess.”
Sylus chuckles like he’s heard the funniest joke all week. “Right, right. If they paid all their interns as much as I do to you, I think they would have a hard time.”
“So what do you do that makes you able to spend so much money on me, huh? boss-man?” You narrow your eyes and attempt to pry his life again. Your attempt at a threatening face seems to have no effect on him.
“Oh kitten, don’t worry.” He says, amused smile playing at his lips, while he gently cups your face, his thumb stroking your jaw tenderly. “You’ll find out when the time comes.”
────── ❀•°❀°•❀ ──────
On the first day of your internship, you head to the fifth floor of Onychinus head quarters - where your international digital marketing team office is located.
You’re surprised to find out that a lot of the employees at Onychinus are greatly loyal to the company. Everyone welcomes you to the family, and, though it’s only been a couple of hours, you find yourself getting swept up by the company pride everyone feels.
It doesn’t take you long to figure out the reason behind the loyalty though - apparently the CEO is hot. Like, panty dropping hot. Apparently it’s your lucky day if you get to see him walk the first floor lobby to work, where he will then take his exclusive elevator to the top most floor, to the CEO’s office.
So you’re not surprised when a collective gasp erupts from your team mates as you were lounging by the lobby cafe, drink in hand.
“Y/n! That’s the CEO! Look!” An excited co-worker taps you and whispers in your ear.
You turn to look.
You meet eyes with familiar, crimson ones, looking directly at you.
Your jaw drops at the sight of Sylus, your sugar daddy, walking through the lobby with a dozen escorts behind him.
The way the path paves itself, how everyone gawks, how he carries himself, how he commands, there’s no mistake that he’s the CEO everyone’s been talking about.
He smirks knowingly and shares a glance with you, before turning away and heading to the elevators. To his exclusive elevator everyone talks about.
“Geez Y/n, did you fall in love at first sight?” A co-worker laughs and points out, just as the lobby begins buzzing after Sylus leaves.
You press your lips shut after realizing they’d been parted this whole time. Your face flushes from embarrassment.
“He is dashing” Another says, eyes glazed over as if stuck in a daydream.
“I heard he’s not married. Who do you think a guy like him meets?”
“Probably a super model. Or an A class actor.”
You quietly listen in on the gossip for the rest of lunch.
When you return back to your office seat, you wonder if you should send him a text about it.
Something along the lines of, why didn’t you tell me earlier? like, years ago? I thought you were a drug dealer!
You’re bordering on exasperation and anger he didn’t tell you sooner, and curiosity and relief that you finally found out, when an employee quietly approaches your desk.
He’s dressed in a fancy suit, like the ones that were escorting Sylus down at the lobby earlier.
You look at him inquisitively before he leans in and whispers in your ear.
“The CEO would like to see you now. Privately.”
You nod and follow him through the building halls. A small smirk plays on your lips as you rummage through a million scenarios to find the one that will successfully corner Sylus and make him admit his fault for not telling you sooner.
And, just like always, you will get your way.

the bunker was filled with echoes of castiel’s footsteps as he walked down the hallway, as he got closer to the kitchen he could hear the faint sound of kitchen equipment being moved around.
“sam? dean?” castiel popped his head into the kitchen, hoping to find sam and dean. “hey man what up?” sam asked as he looked up to notice the puzzled expression on castiel’s face, a worried frown that was hard to miss. sam was sitting at the table with coffee and dean was making the ‘breakfast of champions’ as he called it. in other words – pancakes, eggs and bacon.
“i uh..” cas started, looking down the hallway to check if you weren’t anywhere near, then proceeded to walk closer to the two boys. sam and dean look at each other in confusion, their friend looks like he was away to spill a government secret or something. “well spit it out cas” dean grunted impatiently.
castiel sat down across from sam, inching closer towards both the boys. “is y/n a…what the lgbt community would call, a transgender?” he whispered loudly. sam’s face shown pure confusion whereas dean couldn’t help but burst out into laugher.
“what? what’s so funny?” cas asked confused as to what dean found so amusing, his frown making his eyebrows almost touch.
“cas where did you even get that idea from?” sam questioned, trying to get to the bottom of this ridiculous idea.
“well…” cas cleared his throat before he began explaining. “i went to wash my hands in the bathroom since my hands were covered in basilisk blood that we need for the spell, also did you know that in harry po-“
“yes chamber of secrets had a basilisk, to the point cas” dean interrupted, trying to get cas back on the track.
“right, so i walk into the bathroom and on the counter beside the sink… was a.. prosthetic male part” cas finally explained, his whole angel self confused. on the other hand sam and dean look at each other, checking if they heard correctly.
“it wasn’t real, i checked” castiel added as if to protect you from looking like a psycho that owns a cut off dick or something.
dean raised a brow at him, “a prosthetic male part?” cas looked into dean’s eyes with slight panic and uncertainty. despite him being on earth for centuries, socialising with human beings and all that, cas clearly still had a lot of innocence to him after all this time.
dean cleared his throat, trying not to smirk. “so on the bathroom counter there is a-“
“a prosthetic penis, yes” castiel confirmed, sam tried to hide the grin that grew on his face. both the boys looking at each other like kids that just heard the ultimate fart joke.
“is it big?” dean’s tone amused. sam nudged his side. “what? m’just curious” dean shrugged with a full blown smirk. cas squinted his eyes suspiciously but still answered, “it was way over the average size…statistically speaking”
sam spat out his coffee that he tried taking a sip off. dean just nodded with a cheeky grin, now he’s got a thing to tease you about. “oh this is perfect” he murmured to himself, already coming up with an evil plan as he rubbed his hands together.
“so.. is she transgender?” castiel asked with a head tilt like a questioning dog. as sam stopped coughing he cleared his throat and tried to explain to him the situation. “no cas, um..” sam was surprisingly shy about having to explain to castiel that it’s simply your dildo that he saw.
“y/n is a woman and what you saw was her sex toy” dean announced with no hesitation unlike sam, he looked over at sam and cas from the kitchen island as he was plating the cooked food on the ceramic plates. “see, wasn’t that hard to explain now, was it?”
sam gave dean the ‘have a little decency’ glare. “what? it had to be explained to our naive little angel over here” dean shrugged, unfazed. making sam sigh, although he did find the situation pretty amusing.
“ah yes, sex toys. i’ve heard of them before, it’s for pleasuring oneself or your partner” cas nodded, the confusion disappearing and being replaced with a calm smile. dean couldn’t help but snicker.
sam held the bridge of his nose, trying to hold in a chuckle himself. “god, dean you’re such a kid”
“oh come on you find it funny too” dean pointed at sam. then suddenly you entered the kitchen.
“morning guys” you spoke cheerfully, after a little solo session you slept like a baby, so you felt super refreshed. you walked to the fridge to take out milk for your coffee. there was dead silence for a long second, tension could be felt in the kitchen.
“someone’s in a good mood” dean spoke but only sam knew the meaning behind the words. you looked at dean, noticing he was smirking and sam was avoiding your eye contact. you couldn’t help but looked confused at them three.
“cas thinks you might have left something of yours in the bathroom, from last night” dean just couldn’t help himself, teasing you just came too easy. his arms crossed against his chest as he stood facing you with the biggest shit-eating grin you’ve ever seen.
you look from dean to castiel, the wheels in your brain slowly starting to turn as you started to remember that you don’t recall taking your dildo back into the room with you after washing it. your eyes widen slightly, your cheeks turning pink and your heart started beating twice as fast.
dean noticed the subtle shift in your demeanour, the inner panic overflowing your body. but he didn’t stop there, oh no he had more to say, “did you have a nice workout with your seven inches?” he smirked.
“it’s eight inches actually” you clapped back, tilting your head sassily as you tried to regain your dignity. “but hey i get it, it’s hard to recognise anything bigger than 4 inches, right dean?” you teased him back, sam couldn’t hold in his laughter as you implied dean having a small one. cas only squinted his eyes, trying to understand the conversation between you two.
“ouch, someone got burned” sam chuckled, you brushed your hair sassily at his words.
“now if you guys don’t mind, imma go hide the.. yeah, and go hang myself in the war room” you jokingly said before casually walking out the kitchen.
you may have shut dean up but it was only temporary, you knew this wasn’t the end of his teasing.
