sometimes i think about sullivan and how his n iruma’s relationship progresses and what made him choose iruma. i mean it was probably something to do with delkira that made him pick iruma up but i also think about that comment he makes early on in the series, that the others in the 3 greats have grandkids and he doesnt and how hed love to have a grandkid. and how he sends iruma to babyls partly because thats what a proper caretaker is meant to do. and how at the beginning maybe hes playacting and thinking yes this is the boy i have brought over for unspecified reasons, My Grandson, and i am the Grandfather (yay!) but its only later on that The Grandson becomes Iruma Suzuki first and then Sullivan’s Grandson second. and then i get happy about it

#man i dont even have the energy to be mad. im just tired #like. dont u love it when your parents exhibit symptoms of ADHD and your sibling is diagnosed with a learning disability #and instead of thinking oh shit what if the other one has smth too. they subject you to The Horrors #i cant bring myself to hate my parents. but im tired of feeling obligated to defend them when the thing they think is working #isnt actually working and ive just found other ways to cope to avoid any sort of conflict. like lying and stealing. lol #if someone took me aside and said 'hey so your brain doesnt make as much dopamine as usual and its not a bad thing it just means you #need external stimulation and reward system to function and youre not actually secretly fucked up or lazy' as a kid #im pretty sure i wouldnt be here rn with half the problems i already have. unfortunately getting diagnosed late means u dont have a teacher #to back you up at a parent teacher conference that forces your parents to take this shit seriously instead of ignoring it hoping itll #go away on its own. but hey what do i know i have squirrel ipad baby disease. what do i know about my own symptoms #AND. So their is so sO SO much wrong with the Lightning thief movie But I think my two favorite things that don't make sense are

1) apparently Percy's name is just 'Percy' because he needed help to name a third demigod and he had to look at the Greek to get the name 'Perseus'

2) for some reason their are Thirteen thrones on Olympus. It's goes (right to left) Dionysus, Hephaestus, Hera (a decision to put her here of all places), Hermes, Aphrodite, Poseidon, Zeus (at the head), Athena, Ares, Demeter, Apollo, Artemis, EMPTY THRONE! Why 13? For Hestia? But she doesn't have a throne she gave it up. For Hades? He also doesn't have one on Olympus!

some recent sprites for "on the flip side" characters (or rather the dimensional doubles of existing characters lol). ive posted characters from this universe a lot over the years, as its my oldest story that i still work on/think about, but ive never really explained who they are! if youd like to explore the setting and characters of "on the flip side" a bit, i made a carrd for it here (its still a wip but im trying to get it all finished within the month! main characters have fully written out bios & backstories, some side characters still just have basic info.) (also this all takes place in a fictional californian city and if you read this and go "wow that is definitely not how things are in california or the us" sorry i dont know shit im french.)

#ocs #sprites #otfps #cassie #damien #richie #freddie #mariko #marty #im not actively working on otfps As A Story bc im no longer sure what medium to make it #(it was originally thought of as a script for a tv show. eventually moved into a comic project. then decided a visual novel was better #and then thought of making it just a novel. currently not sure which way to move it & im just focused on other projects.)#im sure ill eventually come back to otfps in some way or another as im v attached to these characters and their story #but for now theyre just Around and i draw them sometimes #carl is written down as 'little is known about his early life' but dw I Know. im just not telling.#these are not even all the characters in the setting either..#theres like. the other side of the keene family (landons twin sister her husband and their three kids)#as well as koënn and karol #but those characters dont show up within the first arc of the story so im not even including them ok..#oh also to clarify #when i say the main 4 #the protagonist of the story is caroline and she was always meant to be the main pov character #however a lot of the story has come to revolve around carl (though you dont get much insight into him originally)#so hes like. well hes not a secondary protagonist. hes not a pov character. idk what he is but hes v important to the story lol #the other main 2 are côme and lucy #overall its primarily a story about the keene siblings + lucy who serves as the only character w in depth knowledge of the setting #also its a story about people w issues and the different ways they cope w them #and a lot of it is about young people who grew up w absentee parents trying to figure themselves out without good parental support #so if you wonder why half the characters parents are super distant and never around. well its kinda the point basically

u know at the beginning i kind of thought kfp4 was gonna do something with shifus whole. deal. but they didnt like at all which is a shame

#the plot was extreeeemely thin and formulaic as it stands imo #kind of held together by the strength of the action sequences which i liked #but idk it just felt weird that po said an objectively correct thing (why isnt shifu the spiritual leader hes clearly better at it #) and i kind of expected that shifu would have something to do where he learns not to be so. idk #i guess faith in his own judgement rather than like. just kind of Accepting His Destiny or whatever. they make gags about how #hes clearly kind of upset about this whole thing #especially with tai lung having a speaking role its just like. well i wish shifu was here so you guys could talk this out #given how the idea of destiny kind of shapes their worldviews #i think what i wouldve done is a destiny is not so set in stone thing #bring shifu on the quest but when po has his vision he sees zhen betray him and decides to trust her anyways while shifu advises against it #because The Universe Said So and po is like what if..the universe is wrong. or what if we can change its mind :D she seems like a good kid #maybe she just needs some good influences :D and shifu is like -'_- thats fucking stupid po <- thinking abt his shitty son #and maybeeee they could even have tai lung be more involved in the latter half because his dad is here. and they can talk #idk i dont know if this is anything i just kind of wish the movie was giving More

i think i might actually start stage managing as a side hustle.....for years ive been a last min "we need someone are you free?" call for friends and friends of friends (and now friends of friends of friends) but after enough layers of separation its like. oh. this isn't a favor im doing for someone anymore lol you're actually just hiring me

#it gets muddier esp cause i only take payment like half the time #i dont take money for kids shows (even though those are the WORST) and i dont take money if the program is being hosted by #someone i used to dance with. if theyre jusy performing and thats how the event got my name ill charge #but if its actually a show that my peers (i say this loosely i mean my former peers who decided to do this full time) are bankrolling no way #like i know what you have to pay your dancers i know what your take home is from tix sales and i know how much the venue charges #im not adding another name to the payroll ill chill with a clipboard for a day if i get two meals and some gossip out if it #all this to say. oh this is dumb but all this to say i cant do the yearly night watch read cause i have to hold a clipboard for nine hours

#my mom gave me a really really lonf lecture and upset me because her and my dad want me to start thinking about settling down ans getting #married. again. cos this comes up all the time. ans I reiterated that i do wanna marry and have kids. i know im 26 years old why do they'#think im also not aware of this??? like i suddenly forgot my own age and have my head in the clouds all the time. and i got so heated cos i #said they only believe in that in theory. in reality neither of them have accepted the idea od my leaving home or the idea of mw being with #a man. and they start freaking out if they even find out i talk to them so to say they want me to get married is so fucking naive #ans when i mentioned this and that they're more than ok w mt brothers talking tp women she said that if i wanted to settle down she could #talk to dad and they could “go about finding someone for me” and I've never been so pissed #i got so upset. why does everyone keep saying this to me. as if anyone my dad knows could ever be a half decent man #and the truth is they don't care if im in a happy marriage they've accepted that i won't be they only care that im gone and saving face in #front of family. that's all. it's always reputation it's always “what will people say?”#not once did love come up. not once did shw even imply that i should marryfor love #or that they hope i love someone and marry them. because they're more happy with the idea of me marrying for the sake of it than #they are at the idea of me finding genuine lovw #im not a fucking broodmare im not here to push out babies for the sake od reputation.#and then i said nor being married isn't the end of the world and she said “it's important that you settle down”#and i said im unwavering in my principles. she can call mw high maintenance like she loves doing but I'm not wavering on the #kind of man i want to be with and when i do marry him i want it to bw genuine. because be loves me and vice versa not because im ticking off #somethin from a damn checklist to appease them. and if being unwavering on my principles means staying unmarried then so be it.#my obligations are to god and myself and that's it #and y'know what??? i am in love with a boy already #and yet they don't care that i wanna be in love at all. no im just a puppet to follow a certain narrative in life live according to evergone #else has and that's it.#im done.#and then she tried to apologise by getting me a slice of cake and that somehow made me feel worse.#i dont want an apology. i want to be heard and actually listened to for once. i want someone to ask what i want. to actually give a shit #and love me cos it's me. not cos im some thing to further an agenda. or some toy or puppet that does your bidding.#is it so much??? to just want to be loved in return? to marry and live according to how i want to?? ans not want anyone to make these #decision's for me?#ruined my whole day.

theres something rlly funny about ppls approximation of what southern dialects are like- esp when its like the stereotypical southern politeness imposed on a very sarcastic character

#seeing more southern will graham stuff going around and it makes my heart happy #however!!! at his old age he would not be saying sir to every male figure he meets- southern gentlemen use that to be polite #and will graham is just not polite half of the time #tbh theres also a difference between northern vs southern shyness #in the north ive noticed that even if you are shy youre still expected to say something of acknowledgement #or if you just dont speak much at all the pitch in tone of whatever you do say/hum is typically lighter/higher pitched #whereas in the south if you dont speak much or dont like making eye contact (willy g) then ppl dont comment much on it or force you to spea #up loud bc its rude and also the south is like weirdly more accepting of that kidn of thing- you know the whole #'oh yea thats beau's kid- he dont talk much but kids got his heart in the right place'#i have found northerners more abrasive towards ppl who are different (read: have autistic symptoms) than southerners
