I think it was more gradual. like the way they act w each other in the get back sessions & just in general speaks more to something more unspoken happening than some big dramatic break up or rejection, at least to me. esp given how john & yoko lived with paul for a while in the summer of 68 (and talk about the world's worst throuple)

I wouldn't say I don't think Anything happened in india, but imo it seems more like.... I saw someone talking about how up until that point they were all on a lot of drugs & india was them getting off them for a minute & they sort of looked around and went "what the fuck are we doing? do I even know these people?" and that rings the most true to me I think.

some of the bigger reasons I have my doubts abt india being some huge thing where they fucked for the first time and paul rejected john are a) they still got along after that. things were weird but not much weirder than they'd been after brian's death b) paul wrote "i will" in india and I've talked before about how I'm 100% convinced that's about john and to me "will I wait a lonely lifetime, if you want me to I will" doesn't sound like the words of someone about to do any rejecting c) the infamous blowing the mic scene in get back is way too lighthearted and makes paul blush and giggle like they're just referencing fucking as a part of their relationship that happened enough to not be disarming. doesn't seem like john is being bitter or trying to egg him on and paul isn't reacting like someone that got called out for fucking john and then rejecting him. it reads more, to me, like just two lovers slyly joking around about a time they fucked that no one else can know about

which brings me to d) I'm also a "they had a sexual relationship" truther (which would be a whole other essay tbh) and so For Me Personally that just doesn't jive w smth big and dramatic happening in india. I just don't think they ever talked about what the fuck was going on between them, whatever it was, and then the typical band breakdown reasons coincided w a breakdown of their personal relationship as well. like just sort of dying out without much fanfare which can honestly be worse than some big rejection or breakup. and then ofc john goes full in with yoko and paul flounders around trying to settle down with a woman and marry her in such a weirdly frantic way. like that quote where he asks if he was supposed to be a 26 year old queer that never got married....... I would wager, imo, that things breaking down w john & then jane would've lead him to a bit of a Crisis about all that. but he found linda and went all in w her and she wound up pregnant so there you go.

which would lead them to a really weird place by the get back sessions, which I at least feel like is reflected pretty well- this awkward tension, paul's nervous desperation, nostalgia for the old times, lingering sexual tension. but not the attitude like they hated each other yet or had some big breakup or rejection. they're still joking and flirting, it's just awkward. the Big Moment would've been something else after that imo, probably john announcing he wanted a divorce but could've also been something more private that would go a long way to explaining why they were basically not on speaking terms at all by the abbey road sessions

again this is all Purely Speculation. mostly based on my more conflicting view from the fandom at large that they did have a sexual relationship and paul isn't as repressed/clueless as he puts on. so w those Two Beliefs in mind, this is sort of the trajectory that would make the most sense to me!

of course, without those two Core McLennon beliefs of mine I can see why people would point to india as the game changer if they think paul is a repressed bisexual who thinks he's straight while john pined over him. like it would make sense in that scenario if that's where the tension snapped & it was just a mess after that. but I very firmly and adamantly don't believe that so it's just hard for me to see the india theory as anything solid when there's a lot of other explanations for why india was such a shitshow

okay but the way in which the public/fans fit into the fmo djats au is Super interesting to me. i can imagine alys and aemond both choosing not to go public with their relationship till the divorce is finalized out of consideration for reader, guilt and maybe just to take it slow and figure themselves out but then a few months down the line someone leaks out to the press photos of them kissing and acting all coupley (yknow those that feel like love literally seeps out of them, aemond cupping alys' face and looking down at her tenderly type beat) and all hell breaks lose. the general public is feeling very '?????' because up to this point everyone thought reader and aemond were still together/maybe just having a rough patch and she herself feels like her heart is breaking all over again because now she has to deal with it with eyes of the entire world on her. the band is forced to issue a statement (something along the lines of 'reader and aemond are separated and undergoing a divorce and alys and aemond are happily together and would like that people respected their privacy') and since the au takes place in the 90s/00s i could see a whole lot of misogynistc bullshit falling upon the girls, them being pit against each other, maybe a portion of the fans saying things like 'figures. a & a always looked way more suitable for each other' (not to say that reader doesn't have her own shooters being the it girl that she is, i would even say some people end up dropping the band because of the entire situation) and all of it taking a heavy toll on reader :( her feeling super conflicted, still being super pissed at both As but maybe a small part of her also feeling sorry for how alys' name is being dragged through the mud (the cheating Could have gone past only being emotional but didn't after all, she reasons)... aemond on the other hand, just like real life men from that time, probably gets out of it mostly unscathed public opinion-wise, that fucking bastard (i do like the idea of him getting thrown drinks at his head during some shows and having to hear people scream 'that's for reader' though)

I love this!!! And it’s exactly how I think a story like fmo would be so interesting in a modern setting. Mainly bc the idea of an unreliable narrator never goes away. Not to sound fake deep or anything, but the rise of blogs and paparazzi and the shift in celebrity culture/social media is basically an unreliable narrator in of itself.

So as the band is taking off, I can imagine certain fans not liking reader. The fawn over Aemond, and daella by extension when people realize he has a kid guys I was watching old nirvana interviews and the ones with Francis bean are so :((.. not even caring daella is half of reader too. gotta stop bmc posting & draw lol But one more thing i happened to go “ah...i see” abt while writing the mini essay abt jeremy & christine was just like, shifting into gear like Detect Parallels Time, when musing about how jeremy And christine kind of recognize the limits of [their roles in which they feel they can be accepted enough, or even embraced] as bffs with michael / doing theatre respectively, & how jeremy is feeling more stifled by that concomitantly with more urgently feeling a need for a general change, so he’s the person to act & have the plot unfold around him....and then i was like oh hey and The Pants Song lol, like not necessarily a complete epiphany here but still felt like maybe i hadn’t quite nailed it down / focused on this to put it into words, but detecting those parallels in like, oh right, the Problem with michael & jeremy that led to this falling out, which existed even pre squip / was a reason jeremy felt like he needed that kind of fundamental change, is like, this relationship feeling inflexible / static / stagnant, like This Is All That It Can Be....b/c jeremy felt like the player two to michael’s player one, and in tpg it’s like, yes michael can accept jeremy going after Something Else here, but there was still the issue of like michael’s perspective / advice re: how jeremy feels kind of hitting this wall of like Just Wait / you don’t have to do anything differently and in college we’ll be fine, when that doesn’t work for jeremy Now, and he maybe Does sometimes want to do things differently. and that then when jeremy’s having to make a lgw choice, it doesn’t quite help that evidently michael’s not expecting things to actually change all that much, so the squip’s able to argue that michael = the way things Were / things Staying That Way Always.......and the issue with jeremy’s dad also being that like, he’s just kind of operating as if his & jeremy’s relationship Should be in stasis, when jeremy’s reacting to how things have changed for them both, & is basically having this simmering crisis but can’t reach his dad at all lately, so once again it’s like well this relationship is going to be seemingly This Way and only this way and can’t change to adapt to what jeremy needs now, and you know, as is pointed out in the pants song lol, jeremy ultimately confronts & rejects them both in similar ways and in like the same day lol, and the pants song being like yeah maybe the relationship Was being treated as though it was just in stasis while we couldn’t see what was really going on / the need for Something Else, and now it’s time to get dynamic in that relationship vs static and reject “this is how it is and this is how it’ll always be” to hopefully positive effect.....and also naturally that we don’t really have info about jeremy’s mom / that divorce, but jeremy can be like divorcing michael here, he called me a loser too, that like, Walking Away Entirely that seems to have been the approach re: moving to long island w/your hs prom king & more so not really being in touch w/even your kid w/your ex vs just trying to start something New / so wholly different maybe there’s not a space afforded for anything from the old life. and then obviously when jeremy & michael fight & reconcile in the play it boils down to matters that don’t Really hinge on the squip, & they have to be more open & earnest, where both between jeremy & michael and jeremy & his dad, these preexisting issues were such that either these conflicts needed to happen or there would’ve just been this more gradual / incremental Distancing, b/c what really needed to happen was Something Different and the flexibility / dynamism to recognize this & do something about it, and in doing so necessarily have also recognized that there was something wrong / lacking / one way or another failing in the existing approach. and naturally the Effort in that lol, b/c the relationship is worth it, as seen in the fact that also jeremy wants the relationships to work actually / the genuine positive foundations / preexisting connections come through here. i think it’s very fun how jeremy’s dad, in this immediate aftermath where he could just have this ego backlash & blame jeremy, is just like “welp obviously he’s going through something & as his dad i gotta help him” & then does that & is able to provide this Perspective for michael wherein you know, naturally being his dad vs best friend is different, but again it’s just like needing some guidance through the emotional flotsam & jetsam here when michael doesn’t Really want to just let go of jeremy & leave him to deal w/his own bad decisions w/o at least potentially being there if jeremy changes his mind about anything, but of course is like well i’m pretty smad rn so i’m Not springing into action, and naturally where neither of them know exactly just how much of a mess jeremy’s in / what his crisis has been, though they both have important partial perspectives of it....thinking of how then yknow, jeremy’s immediate reactions to them both, glad his dad’s managed to put pants on again, glad michael’s here willing to interact w/him & I’m rewatching all my fave? english-centered period dramas in preparation for  new one coming out, twq, twp, tsp, the tudors, and I know we all love the tudor family here, but good lord was twp such a mess that I ended up actively hating every Tudor character in it. (which was kinda the point, imao) The twp show was based off phillipa gregory's books (that are even worse than the show) and they both shredded the characterizations of everyone in them to the point that they might as well be OCs based on historical figures. Literally the only reason I was able to make it through was because of the actors. jodie and jcls acting carried it at the best of times, and JCL is hot, so... and I’m so glad they got michelle fairley and essie davis as EW and MB, or else it would of been unwatchable.  I couldn’t really root for either lizzie or henry, because their characterizations and personalities were so inconstant and varied wildly from ep to ep, its like I was watching different people in each ep. nd that’s a big part of why I favored the York plotlines/characters more, at least most of them (except lizzie) stayed constant in their characterizations/motives (even if all they were consistent with was revenge against the tudors) And rooting for the tudors in general was hard too, since the show was bending backwards to make them all assholes. (JT gets a pass tho, he was just trying to raise his kid right) No one was really likable, you get a good moment with someone and then the next moment they’re doing something batshit, e.i, henry’s good for a while and then starts being a dick, (wtf was up with imply he slept with cathy gordon and him being such a bitch to lizzie out of the blue?) or you’re starting to sympathize with Margret Beaufort and then she kills another kid, which like, the decision to have her kill the two princes was a choice, and I won’t hesitate to say I enjoyed the drama it brought. Along those lines, the show is marginally enjoyable if you divorce it from the history its trying to retell and treat it as a game-of-thrones-bodice-ripper-drama, which was the intent of the author in the frst place, but whatever. That some of the best acting on the show came plots/situation that weren’t even real irl is wild, and that says a lot. henry’s talk with lizzie about her loving him, but not like she did w/rIII, and his depression-breakdown (never happened),  over his mother being a murderer and the whole thing with Richard Jr./percy warbeck was just juicy, later moments with lizzie and the bit when she talks to richard jr./pw in the tower and his laugh reminds her so much of her father? and then the execution scene? good shit.  A fave bit was henry sitting all despondent in his room remembering the killing of richardIII, and yes they did actually have richardIII buried alive in this show, jfc. It goes again to the bad characterization that ep 1 lizzie would have strangled him outright if she’d found that out, but lizzie in this ep would have been meh. Speaking of which, the short-lived friendship between richard jr./pw and teddy was extremely sweet, which made their executions all that more horrific. within the narrative of the show, R jr./pw seemed like he would have actually made an excellent king, he never seemed anything but kind and honorable, although adamant about his claim, and lizzie’s fear he would kill her children, which was  not unfounded of course, was also made mostly her entire basis for having him killed in the show, even though he was never presented as someone who would do that? make it make sense, or at least hint he would want to harm the kids after taking the throne, instead of showing him as incredibly nice. And in this show, with richard jr./pw being the actual richard, and mb having tried to kill him as a boy and framing richardIII for it, he’s more than justified in wanting the throne and justice. except that never happened irl, and the show has me rooting for a pretender instead of the certified monarchs, which are SUPPOSED TO BE THE “HEROES” OF THIS SHOW. and like, claimants to the throne are usually entitled fucks by nature, I don’t know why everyone hates richardjr./pw for being entitled, when every person who ever laid claim to a throne ever does so on the belief of entitlement to that throne?   And tell me how there was more chemistry between lizzie and faceless richard III in a four-second flashback than she and henry had in most scenes? I’m not saying that lizzie and henry didn’t have chemistry in the show, because they did, (at least the actors did) but once again, their inconsistent characterization marred a lot of scenes that would otherwise be amazing. Then the whole thing where henry r*ped her nd it was shown to be directly caused by her mentioning her relationship with richardIII? Messy, messy messy. after that, it was hard to “feel” lot of her and henry’s scenes even in better contexts. I ship lizzie/richardIII out of spite for that nasty-ass scene alone, because I can’t sit there and watch lizzie falling for her rapist. and then lizzie is vilified for her relationship with richardIII, yet the show implies that Margaret B is in love with her own brother, has lizze taunt her over it, and then present JT marrying/ MB her arranging his marriage as a tragedy for MB? Sir? Ma’am? Jasper Tudor straight up implying that his sister should get a fucking annulment so they can be together, and MB actually considering it gets a pass? more like margaret lannister. Then they bring up richarchIII as a gotcha to lizzie every other ep? someone inform henry that his beloved mother wants to fuck her brother, his beloved uncle and see if he keeps throwing rIII in lizzie’s face every five minutes. EYE. god, this show is bad, bad.  Don’t get me started on the burgundy plot. if you’re going to have the duchess start a war on a whim, at least imply she was possessed to do so by EW’s magic, or have the balls to make her stepdughter’s death actually the fault of the tudors. And poor fucking maggie. it was hard for her irl, but it’s intolerable for her within the show.   Sorry, this got long, I’m ranting at this point because holy hell ITS BAD. If you take it as a show that’s supposed to be about real life historical figures it’s a trash fire, but you really should just watch it as a story like bridgerton. makes it more tolerable.  You know you’ve lost it when a show that’s supposed to be about the unification of two great houses and the love story (not that it was reallly that great of a love story irl either, but that’s for another day) between the scions of those houses gives me hives and makes me wish the burgundy plot succeeded.

we didnt see it but hes super different w holly after sdc. not in a super obvious way but his mom can tell hes more alert about her after everything. its a real conflict for him to leave home and when he lives in america he still calls home always. he goes fully silent on holly too when hes getting into stand business but unlike his wife who just gives up after a certain point holly ALWAYS giving him a talking to for leaving them in the dark about everything

in short i know jotaro and his mom have a super loving relationship w her being able to understand the less typical ways hes caring towards her and im super upset we didnt see more of it

JOLYNE KNOWING HER FAMILY u cant tell me holly wouldnt have gone crazy the moment she was a grandma and ofc her little step brother is one of the first people she tells (theyre on very good terms (works very well w the whole holly goes to morioh instead of joseph in part 4 but alas i might work it all out some day)) and so jolyne visits/gets visited people from all over the world she learns to speak japanese and maybe a bit of french (abdul and polnareff fighting over which french dialect is valid to use) and is one of maybe 3 ppl that can calm iggy anyways even if jotaro wasnt always there for her she deserves to be loved by his family and friends all over the world

Before you start, I know, I know. For this one, I’m pretending that he and Rei are divorced (which is frankly what they need and deserve), and he’s the Number One. Please don’t yell at me about how much he doesn’t deserve anything nice.

Enji is very awkward with his affection, especially to you. Quick little hugs, head pats, maybe even a pat on the shoulder. He’s trying not to be overbearing, but he hasn’t even dated before (his engagement to Rei doesn’t count), and he hasn’t shown romantic affection since his first two children were born.

B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)

More willing to be around you, less likely to get annoyed at your antics. You likely became friends after you recognized him on the street and asked for an autograph for a family member, he accidentally broke your only pen, and you just met for coffee to start over.

C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)

When you’re alone together and you sidle up to him, he enjoys cuddling. You’re so small in comparison that he just enjoys curling up to you, but only if you initiate. He doesn’t want to overstep in his first relationship as a single man again.

Very afraid of commitment again. After the disaster that was his first marriage, even the thought of having children is enough to have him run for the hills. It takes a lot of time and healing for him to even consider marrying someone.

He tried to be gentle with you, but sometimes his brash personality can seep out. He feels awful every time it happens and tries to make it up to you, but for the most part, he’s been successful at being careful. His touches are light, as if you were made of glass.

He can get jealous easily, especially when you’re around people like Toshinori. He knows you can do so much better than him, and some part of him wants to let you go free, but then he realizes he doesn’t want you to leave.

He’s hesitant at first, given that he doesn’t want you to run off the minute you learn of his past as an abuser. It takes a lot of mutual trust before he can really open up to you, and even then he worries you’ll leave him. He starts off by peppering little things about his kids here and there, maybe some things he likes.

P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)

This is Enji we’re discussing. Of course he’s got a temper. He tries to keep his cool these days (trust me, he was way worse before as his family can attest to), but now he’s got a better handle on his temper. He still gets irritated easily, but he doesn’t rage like he used to. Not unless he’s facing a villain.

Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)

He remembers what he can. As we’ve seen, he has a pretty good memory about little things (think Rei’s flower), so if you tell him you like or dislike something, he’s going to remember it.

R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?)

Honestly, his favorite moment was when he first discussed his past with you. You’d cried as he told you of the horrible things he did and what he was doing to atone for it, and when you said you’d support him in his path to redemption, it really touched his heart.

S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)

Extremely protective, to the point where he would voluntarily end the relationship if it meant you were safe (though that’s largely rooted in his own insecurities). But sometimes he just wants someone to hold him and reassure him too.

T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)

He puts everything he has into your relationship. Tries to make time for dates, gives you breakfast in bed on your birthday, every once in a while giving you little trinkets... he’s also used to doing chores on his own, so don’t be surprised if he does most of the work around the house now that it’s just him.

U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)

Oh geez, where to start? He’s still got a temper that tends to flare up on bad days. If he gets too deep into his own self-loathing he’ll go a few days without even seeing you, instead sleeping at the agency and doing work from there. Real touchy about the subject of kids/marriage/his past and will stubbornly refuse to talk about it, sometimes to the point of fighting. Too prideful to admit his misdeeds sometimes. Drinks in the evenings to numb some of the pain. Spends way too much time in the gym and often neglects his own health.

V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)

He does what needs to be done. Trims stubble, makes sure his hair is combed, takes extra care with his clothing... he wants to keep up the facade that he’s got everything together in public. When he’s alone, shirtless and sweatpants for days babey.

W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)

Depends on how far in the relationship you are. In the beginning, he’d be sad, but he would learn to push the pain down. Later on, though, he wouldn’t want you to leave. He likely wouldn’t get into another relationship after you, focusing instead on his work.

X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them.)

I mean, I know this is already kinda canon, but he is a very Proud Dad. In order to make up for all that he missed, he likes to keep track of his kids’ accomplishments and if you get him drunk enough he melts into this puddle of pride as he boasts about how great they’ve become. Has about dozen framed pictures of his family (and two of just Rei, one when she was discharged from the hospital and one on the day the divorce was finalized) in his bedroom and office that he looks at whenever he’s lonely.

Meanwhile, you safely got to school. You took off your headphones and stuffed them into you bag as you opened the door. You were met with the happy greetings of your friends. You looked in your bag and lo an behold he was right. It was just mere coincidence to you but not to him. He noticed the lump in your backpack front pocket and knew you were listening to music again and knew you wouldn’t put the pencil case back in your bag. He knew you like that, and he loved you like that. It proved to him that you were still a little immature and naive. Still a chance to make you his. 

Aizawa entered the classroom, snapping him out of his daydreams about you. About how good of a wife you would be. How much cuddling you guys would do. How much cooking you guys would do. Suddenly a knock was heard from the door and Present Mic entered, “Yo! I found this phone at my doorstep, I think it’s Y/N’s” the class gasped as Present Mic handed it to their homeroom teacher. Bakugou glared, hiding his worry. What happened to you? Are you hurt? Who did this to you? He’ll kill them, make them pay. 

His thought were interrupted by Present Mic leaving. “There’s some disturbing stuff there, yo. I called Nezu so you two can decide which action to take” Present Mic left the room. Aizawa was crowded with student as he looked through the erased phone, the backround was white, the gallery was erased but contained only one video. 

It was you. Bakugou’s eyes widened and his blood boiled. You were blindfolded and tied to a chair with a cloth on your mouth to shut you up. The men behind the camera explained that they were to pay a huge sum of money and they would get her back, and if they were to report to the police, you were to be killed. If they were paid and were still told on to the police, they would find you again and they would kill you. You heard this and sobbed, tears running down your cheeks. 

Bakugou was pissed, and looked at the background. He knew that place. He used the same warehouse when he killed and tortured you exes and past crushes and bullies. It had many sharp tools left behind. He cleaned the tools of course, but still left them behind. 

Aizawa announced that he was going to discuss this with the principal and tey were to send out a search party in a day or two. That wasn’t enough time, they- no, he had to find you now. You were in danger, no one could keep you but him. Then he had a thought. He was gonna find you, and save you, ten you were gonna fall for him and be his. He chuckled under his breath, yes, this was perfect.

After school he at least told Kirishima and some friends that he was going to rescue you. It made him seem less suspicious and as if he cared for you. He only told those who he knew would listen to him when he said not to follow him. Then, he would go home and go look for you. And right on cue, he saw his parents weren’t home yet.

He got dressed in black clothing that looked casual enough. A hoodie, some pants and his signature boots. He walked out and went to the warehouse. He quietly snuck in and saw you in the middle of the warehouse, tied to a chair. The man was touching you in places only he was allowed to. He groped you in unwanted places while you sobbed as the man breathed in your ear. “Your lucky we promised to give you unharmed, otherwise, you’d be a mess on the floor by now” he whispered. Bakugou heard enough, he let out a battle cry, attacking te man who was watching. He threw your captor to the wall as the other went to grab him. He made a big explosion aimed at his chest and he fell to the floor unconscious. Bakugou took some rope and tied them up. He texted Kirishima and told him to tel the police, as well as giving the address. 

He walked over to you, mumbling about how the kidnappers were weaklings. He untied you and took off your blindfold. You were still shaken up, and still had tears on your cheeks. “B-Bakugou?” you asked, your voice hoarse as they deprived you of any water. 

“Yeah it’s me” his husky voice said quietly. “You see how easy it is for them to nullify your quirk? Damn, you really need someone to protect you.” He smirked to himself as he planted the idea in your mind. You shuddered and realized he was right. You looked at him as he finished untying the ropes on your ankles. His eyes met your teary ones, “w-will you protect me?”

Bingo. He got you. The corner of his lips tugged up, a smirk disguised as a comforting smile, “of course” he said as he wiped the tears from your eyes. You leaned into his touch as he took in the fact that you were now his. He got up and carried you bridal style. You snuggled up to his chest as he carried you to your house. He set you on your living room couch and turned to leave. You grabbed his arm. “I don’t wanna be here by myself” you whimpered.

“What about your parents?” he knew you didn’t have any. Both were divorced and lived in a different country, they sent you money to support yourself. He found this out while going through your laptop when he visited your room at night.

“They aren’t with me. Can I stay with you?” You looked up at him. 

“Let me just ask my parents” he stepped away and made a phone call. On the other line his mother was fuming, asking where he was an what he was doing. He admitted to saving you and told them you had a weird mental shock thing and asked for him to take you home with him. His mom sighed and said that at least he took action, being an upcoming hero and all. His father got on the phone and said you could stay as long as you needed. He hung up soon after and went to you. 

You were still shaking as he relayed the good news, “they said you can stay as long as you want” he said stroking your arm. You smiled a little, and stood up, “Thanks, Bakugou. I’ll go get some clothes.”

“Katsuki,” he told you, “Call me Katsuki”

You felt giddy as you walked to your bedroom and invited him in. You were picking up some clothes as he layed on your bed. You assume he was tired but he was anything but. He was never able to do this as you were asleep when he visited. He inhaled your pillows and took in your scent, he even slightly ground his hips on the mattress. He sat up when you said that you got your pajamas and uniform for the next day. and he helped you carry them as you walked to his house. You clung onto him on the way there and he couldn’t be happier.

You reached his house and he opened the door. His parents were waiting for them and as soon as you stepped in, his parents went to talk to you. 

“Are you okay, sweetheart?” his mom asked, concerned

Born as the youngest of three, Cater was not too thrilled with how he grew up. His two older sisters (who I low-key HC to be twins until canon states otherwise) weren’t the best in his eyes. As for his relationship with his parents, well, canon doesn’t expand too much on that. It seems to be a decently good relationship with low-key vibes of either ‘mom or dad or both are dead in current day or parents are divorced’ Again canon merely hints at that, in a way (I’d have to go find my proof tho and I don’t feel like it b/c it’s just speculation + the fact Cater DOES seem to be low-key based off of Cinderella. So we’ll leave the parent stuff alone for now.)

He never got the attention he wanted or needed growing up. His sisters obviously made everything about them and how cute things were and bossed him around. Not to mention he’d make friends! Then have to move every 1-2 years and lose contact then remake friends! Then move again! Your forgiving and nurturing nature. You are just like a druid in the way that you respect nature and he loves that about you. 

B-Baby, would they want kids with you as soon as possible?

Yes. Hendrickson basically helped to raise Griamore, Gilthunder, and Howzer, so he will want kids as soon as possible. 

C-Celebration, how would they celebrate your anniversaries?

Hendrickson is a hopeless romantic. He would make you dinner and make sure that everyone else stays away so that he can make you feel just as loved as you make him feel. 

D-Divorce, how would they handle if you wanted a divorce? What caused it?

His self loathing is what caused it. This absolutely destroys him. He wants nothing more than to be worthy of you and to him he has failed and there was no saving it. 

E-Earnest, are they serious about your marriage? Or can they be a little immature about it?

Hendrickson takes your relationship very serious. He is never immature about it because he takes this as serious as his job as a Holy Knight. 

F- Favorite, what was your favorite things before and after you got married to each other?

Favorite thing before and after you got married is Hendy’s inability to resist Honey. You have to hide it to keep him out of the honey jar, but if this man gets a whiff of it you have no hope to keep it secret. Sometimes you even buy some just so that you can watch him get sticky from the mess he makes. 

G-Giving, do they spoil you?

Hendrickson is sure to spoil you. Flowers, poems, dresses, surprise date nights. You name it. He spoils you rotten and often times you pitty the other women around you whose husband’s don’t treat them with the same respect and reverence. 

H-Honeymoon, what did you two do for your honeymoon?

Hendrickson is first and foremost a druid. Even though he was cast out he is still a druid of nature. A honeymoon in the forest with a cliff outlook to the sea was something you never thought you would want to do, but being pulled by the waves on the cliff face would put you to sleep in an instant, that is, after you two had your fun. 

I-Invest, how much do they contribute to your marriage?

Hendrickson put everything into your marriage. He still does. You, not expecting this at first, were shocked. Though once the shock wore off you put equal amount of effort into your marriage. The only time he doesn’t put in effort is when he is training your children to be holy knights. You can understand though. This is what will keep them safe. 

J-Jealous, do they still get jealous even though you’re completely theirs?

Yes. Hendrickson is very much the jealous type. Part of this stems from. His fear that you will realize that the things that he has done cannot be atoned for and he will always be the monster he thinks he is. 

K-Kiss, how often would you two kiss? Do you still have that spark?

Hendrickson is big on formality. He will not kiss you in public. He does love to kiss you when you are home though. Good morning kisses are a must. Goodnight kisses are never missed. Kisses are also always given to you in tandem with thank yous. 

L-Live, where would you two settle down at?

You live in Lioness, though you both would like to move to live in the same forest that you had your honeymoon in. 

M-Make, do they still make your heart flutter after years of marriage?

The one thing that makes your heart flutter is his soft kisses on the back of your hand. He is such a gentleman that it makes your heart skip a beat every single time. 

N-Never, what is something they would never do?

He would never raise his voice to you. Even when you have your days, and that one time that you screamed at him that he didn’t love you the way he said he did while you were pregnant with your first child, he never and will never raise his voice at you. 

O-Opportunity, do you two still get the opportunity to be intimate with one another?

Drefus is always there to lend a hand, just as Hendrickson was there to lend a hand to him. Uncle Drefus will always take the kids so that you two can have some alone time. If it isn’t Drefus it’s Meliodas who will let you guys get in some alone time. Though you are pretty sure he is racking up some debt so that he will have that time later on. 

P-Pet names, what pet names do you two give each other?

You always call him Darling, and Hendy always calls you My Heart. You find it adorable and you will never stop. 

Q-Quiet, do you two keep quiet about your marriage? Or do you always brag about one another?

No, you always brag about each other. You know he brags about you to the guys and equally you find yourself bragging to all of your female friends about how wonderful of a husband he is. 

R-Romance, how do you two keep your romance alive?

With how spoiled you are and how much you both put into your marriage there is no short supply of romance in your marriage. Late night walks in Lioness, star gazing, and the trips to town festivals. 

S-Selfie, would they take multiple pictures of you? Would they save them on their phone?

If he had a phone, yes he would. He does love to have portraits made, especially of you two and his whole family. 

T-Teenagers, do you still act like teens when you’re older?

No. You might act silly every once and a while, but you don’t act like teenagers. 

U-Unrelenting, what hasn’t stopped since you two got married?

He is always the one to make breakfast every morning. Normally you are a late riser, or at least later than he is. So you find that you are served breakfast every morning. 

V-Valentine’s Day, what plans do you two make?

It’s always a surprise for you. Sometimes you two spend it alone and others you spend it on a short vacation from the Holy Knights. 

W-Wedding, what was your wedding like?

Small, with only Hendrickson’s close friends and yours. You find that you liked the small wedding and that even though it was small his vows to you were the most amazing words that you will never forget. 

X-X-Ray, can you two see through each other? Can you see when you’re lying or not?

Hendrickson can always tell when you are upset, but lying? You don’t normally lie to each other. The only thing you lie about is when you two have surprises for each other and you two have gotten so good at it, it is like second nature. You can keep these secrets from each other easy as pie. 

Y-Yearly Tradition, what do you two do every year for your wedding anniversary?

Being a druid Hendy is big on traditions. You find that he always serves you breakfast in bed, You’ll god out to spend the day together and follow everything up by going out to dinner before you two go to the castle baths before some fun time.

no <3 but thats okay <3 i think a lot of what i read tho seems to agree that for taurus and gemini to work, they have to be willing to talk about things that they want out of like and clearly communicate whatever it is that they’re trying to get out of the relationship and i think that a) that’s something camryn is very comfortable talking about in a nonthreatening way and b) something she would like actively work to get austin to consider and like encourage him to find ways to speak about himself she’s a big communicator and could possibly coax that out of him too. so basically they’re not but they are <3

camryn liked austin first, but it was close. i think she kind of engineered him getting a crush on her like she had one on him and then shifted into dream girl mode to get him to get a crush on her and then make the first move. she knows what she wants and how she wants it i cannot make this more clear.

austin. she gave him the pieces to put together but he did and he’s the one who made the first move because of it that’s her man <3

What did they do on their first date?

dinner and a walk through the arboretum. the plan was just dinner, she suggested some restaurant she’d wanted to go to already and wanted to leave an out just incase it sucked, but they had a good time so they went to a second location and just walked around and talked for a little bit

camryn. she literally just feels hard and loves to broadcast it. she told him she loved him a little early without any expectations of a reciprocation, just because she felt it and thought it was worth sharing, and he did say it back, which felt like a major win.

i think they believe they’re meant for each other more than they believe in soulmates as a whole. like they don’t know about the grand concept just because they both carry like experiences with their parents and stuff into thinking about that, but they do think they’re each other’s perfect match and there’s something that’s just right about them together

they both do like ultimately. camryn more so in the period when austin got cold feet w his parents divorce and her insistence they move and all that, but i think at the end of the day, they both wanted to get married. even if they’re hesitant on like the soulmate thing it’s their right to get married and figure out if it’s real for them.

camryn but austin ain’t complaining i’m sure. she’s a lap sitter, arm around his waist, head on his shoulder kind of girl. she’s worst about it when she’s drunk and they’re in a big group, she’s not as excessive if it’s just like them running errands or whatever.

camryn’s are more traditionally cutesy but she finds austin’s out of touch attempts at being charming over text more adorable and cute than anything she could ever send.

they both are in their own ways like copout answer but i think they both believe their love is precious and something to be protected sorry about it. camryn’s maybe a little more aggressive about it but they would both go to bat for each other in a heart beat.

austin. camryn doesn’t mind driving, but she also loves getting to text and be cute in the passenger’s seat of his subaru crosstrek, so she lets him handle it. he takes a kind of pride in it anyway

camryn. austin is patient and kind and handles whatever she throws at him room temp wise, but she’s one of those girls that’s always freezing EXCEPT when she’s cooking then it’s impossibly hot and she’s gotta get the fan going STAT. but that’s sexy of her.

camryn hehe.  she won’t eat a whole meal unless given explicit permission, but it simply isn’t uncommon for austin to open up leftovers and see a bite taken out of them just because she’s curious and just wants a little bite ^.^

austin. after they fight camryn gets worked up and has to think herself to death over it first but when he comes to her and apologizes it’s kind of what breaks her our of the loop. she always reciprocates and will own up if she was the bigger problem, she just has a hard time putting pride aside and being the first to say something.

Who takes the longest to get ready?

camryn but she doesn’t take super long just longer than austin

Who borrows the other’s clothes more?

camryn because she’s adorable. there’s a little unintentional sharing tho i think. her going out clothes she likes a lot of fitted tops and tight sweaters and blazers and stuff but around the house she does love a big button down or big tshirt and i think they can get those mixed up sometimes to the point where it’s not til austin comes home and they can see the red sauce stain on the cuff of his shirt in the bathroom that they realize it’s her shirt

Do they have any pets?

yes i think so. they got a cat when they lived in the city, because it felt best for the apartment they lived in, but when they moved to ballard, they got a couple of dogs that could play with the kids in their beautiful new yard.

If they live together, who brought up living together first? How long did they date before they moved in together?

camryn brought up moving in together first. her lease was up a month or so shy of them dating for a year and a half, and she’s literally never had a problem making hasty decisions when it comes to love, so she asked austin to look into a place with her. it was a process, where she ended up moving in first and then he gradually moved in with her, since jumping into it all together at once was a little overwhelming, but they acclimated in the end and made it work.

What are their relationships like with each other’s siblings? Other family members?

camryn’s family is really just her parents. her mom met austin first and made a huge deal of loving him to kind of gloat that she was such an involved part of camryn’s life that she got to meet her special boyfriend first (when really it had more to do with her dad living halfway across the country). her dad was harder on austin probably because her mom seemed to like him so much, and he’s just predisposed to mistrust her judgement. ultimately, i think they evened out to be nice but not overly close with him or anything over the years. camryn loves austin’s sisters a lot. she’s got different ways with connecting to them both, but when they got married, she definitely was one of those people who made a big deal about how she wasn’t just gaining a husband, but the two sisters she had always been missing. </3 she’s closer with rory just because they have similar social circles and hang out as friends and family but she loves aubrey and they have a lot of shared interests so i think they keep a decent text chain going and are active on each other’s facebooks/pinterests. she gets along well with his dad, and has been able to sneak into a couple of the special mr. hanna movie nights, which feels like the best endorsement you could ever get. she’s least close with his mom, but they don’t have an actively negative relationship, which feels like a win

A   :   AFFECTION.   how does your muse show affection?

Gifts. When it’s someone he cares deeply for, he’ll shower them with gifts. He’s just that sort of person, and it’s his way of giving back to people who choose to stick with him. When it gets too much, he’s got to be told to cut it out. He also enjoys being close to people, even if that doesn’t always translate to cuddling; he likes curling up next to his partner on a couch or in bed, he likes touching his friends casually to show he’s there and he cares. It seems a bit careless, but that’s just his style.

B   :   BOUQUET.   does your muse like flowers? which ones are their favourite?

This man is masterful with the bouquets. He has a really sharp aesthetic eye, and knows exactly what will look good in a certain spot, exactly what’s appropriate for a certain occasion...   he doesn’t ask the florist for help, the florist asks him. Nix would never garden by choice, but he’s a bouquet connoisseur.

C   :   CHOCOLATE.   does your muse like chocolate? which one is their favourite?

It’s called a guilty pleasure, leave him alone.

D   :   DATE.   what is your muse’s ideal date? where / who with / etc?

Why must one...  do things? Is it not enough to simply spend a night in, maybe in a nice hotel, ordering room service and watching a movie, before passing out next to each other? Honestly, Nix doesn’t need to go places  ---  he’d prefer a quiet night in, not around people, so long as he and his partner can spend time together.

E   :   EMBRACE.   does your muse like hugs? what are their hugs like?

Honestly, they make him a little uncomfortable. He wasn’t hugged as a child, it does not compute. He’s tricky about physical affection in general, so he definitely won’t be the one to initiate hugs...  and honestly, might stand there like a board if he’s the one getting hugged.

F   :   FLIRT.   is your muse good at flirting? how do they flirt?

Oh, he can. He can, he will, and he’s good at it. Nix is a pretty natural flirt; when he bothers to lay on the charm, it can be overwhelming. He’s great at disarming people, and quite shameless when he’s interested in someone.

G   :   GIFT.   is your muse good at gift - giving or do they struggle to get it right?

He’ll literally just hand out money, man. “Here you go, don’t spend it all too fast.”   That’s for the people he likes. When it comes to someone he loves, like a partner, Nix is very, very different  ---  he enjoys spoiling them, even if he doesn’t trust himself to get it right all the time. Jewelry, tickets to shows, new hats, new shoes...  the amount of things he showers his partners / best friends with it a little alarming. He’s definitely bought Dick a puppy before. A whole-ass puppy. Dick didn’t even ask for one, Nix just gave it to him, and suddenly, wow, looks like Dick is now a dog owner.

H   :   HEART.   is your muse quick or slow to give their heart away?

He definitely doesn’t make a habit out of it. When it happens, it’s usually unintentional, and he ends up caring more than he ever means to, or knows what to do with. Nix’s heart is a fickle thing. It goes where it wants, he’s got no say in the matter.

I    :   I LOVE YOU.   does your muse find ‘i love you’ easy or hard to say?

Oooooh, buddy. He’s not gonna say it first. He’d never dream of saying it first. He is legitimately terrified that he’ll say it to his partner and not hear it back; he has nightmares about it, and that’s honestly the moment he realizes how much he loves his partner. He’ll probably freeze up the first time he hears it ---  just for one telling second, before covering it up with a smirk and a half-serious  “aww, love you too”, like it’s nothing.  Nix won’t be able to really say it for a long time...  and even then, won’t be able to breathe until he hears it back. It’s a big thing for him, and he honestly needs to hear it a lot.

J   :   JEALOUSY.   does your muse get jealous in a relationship?

Yeah, and he’s not even subtle about it. If someone’s monopolizing his partner, he’ll either insert himself into the conversation and completely take it over, or...  just take his partner and lead them away. No explanation, nothing, just ‘c’mon, time to go.’

K   :   KISS.   is your muse a good kisser? why / why not?

Nix’s ability to kiss is firmly tied into how much alcohol is in his system at a given time. The drunker he is, the bolder he is...  but way sloppier, too, and needier. He’s trying his best, but that might not be a good thing. When he’s sober, he’s a lot more...  deliberate about it. He pays more attention to where he puts his hands, cupping his partner’s face and holding them like a precious thing. His sober kisses are almost chaste, not very adventurous, not demanding anything from the other person...   but the more comfortable he is in a relationship, the more he’s able to put into a single kiss. Lots of touching  (he loves getting his hands in a partner’s hair), breaking apart just long enough to gasp for breath, pulling them into his lap and just...  kissing the hell out of them. Nix needs to get lost in a kiss.

L   :   LOVE.   who does your muse love?

He adores his sister Blanche, has a soft spot for his mother that she may or may not return, loves his kid (even if he doesn’t know how to show it), loves his friends, loves Dick to the moon and back... Nix has a big heart, and more love to give than he realizes.

M   :   MOONLIGHT.   is morning or night a more romantic setting?

Nighttime is where it happens, baby! Mostly because he resents getting up before noon.

N   :   NAUGHTY.   what is your muse like in bed?

Naughty’s a very good word for it! Again, this depends on his level of sobriety at the time. When very drunk, he’s been known to just...  stop working in the middle of the act, sometimes even passing out. (Let’s just say Kathy had her reasons for that divorce.) A more sober Nix, however, is very attentive. Talk about a tease. He likes to hold, to caress, to feel his partner. Definitely has a few kinks, and is tentatively eager to experiment; he really digs encouragement in bed, which is probably a fun topic for therapy. His hair is a thing, okay  ---   twist it, pull it, run fingers through it. He loves doing the same to his partner. This man is horrible when it comes to leaving marks in visible spaces, and has basically no shame about it  ---  one of Nix’s greatest turn-ons would be seeing his partner fully decked out in eveningwear, with a hickey he gave them just visible at their collar. Sometimes does a weird sort of thing in bed where he’s massaging his partner in the middle of the act? Because god forbid they had any tension in their back or shoulders while they’re legit on top of him! He’s quite vocal, murmuring a running commentary the whole way through, but doesn’t get loud until the very end.

He’s an eloquent bastard, but 78% of what he says is sardonic. Don’t trust him.

P   :   PARTNER.   what does your muse look for in a partner? looks / personality?

He wants a keen mind, someone who he can have discussions with; someone dynamic, open to new ideas and out-of-the-box thinking, with their own opinions they’re not afraid to express. He’d kind of love a partner he could debate with, honestly...  but definitely one he can bounce off of. A person capable of reading between the lines, because he often doesn’t say what he means. Someone who gets his humor  ---  someone who likes to laugh. A good appreciation of music would be great, especially if his partner was a good singer! And definitely...  someone patient.

Q   :   QUESTION.   would your muse ask the big question or expect their partner to?

He’s asked it enough times at this point, with a progressively bigger succession of rings; at the same time, he doesn’t expect anyone will ever ask him, so, what can you do?

R   :   ROMANCE.   is your muse a romantic or a cynic?

Romance is for people who’ve never had their dog stolen by their ex-wife.  (He can be super romantic, if the incentive is there  ---  like, astonishingly romantic, candlelit dinner and bedclothes strewn with roses. He’s got a romantic spirit, but needs a good reason to put that effort in, and the damn right person.)

S   :   SWEETHEART.   did your muse have a childhood sweetheart?

Bold of you to assume he had a childhood. Nah. Nix was raised by a succession of nannies and all-male prep schools. He never really had the chance. He never really dated until college.

T   :   TRUE LOVE.   does your muse believe in true love?

Heh heh...  no. No way. That’s a stupid question.  Love’s just...  it happens for some people, and they’re able to relish it, and thrive in it. For others, it’s distant and difficult and never quite what they want it to be. For some people, it’s right there, but they’re not allowed to seize it. There are lots of different types of love; Nix has known (or dreamed of) them all at one point or another. Nothing about any of them is true.  There’s no such thing as ‘meant to be’.

U   :   UNREQUITED.   has your muse had their heart broken?

He’d say no, but Kathy’s divorce definitely took him by surprise. Like...  it wasn’t as if he loved her then, he hadn’t loved her for a long time  ---  hell, maybe he didn’t love her when they married  ---  but they had an understanding. She swept the rug out from under him, and Nix rushed into a relationship with his English bride to sort of...  bounce back from that. That ended in heartbreak too.

V   :   VALENTINE.   how does your muse feel about valentine’s day?

Commercial and stupid, but you bet he’s booking the best seats at the fanciest restaurant in town. It’s what his partner would want, right? (He’d need someone to actively tell him, “no, let’s not, we can stay at home and I’ll be just as happy”, otherwise he feels like he needs to please.)

W  :   WEDDING.   would your muse get married? why / why not?

You’d think he’d have enough of that after Kathy, but...  nope, he keeps making the same mistake. Glutton for punishment.  

(Marriage is an institution he honestly doesn’t believe in, but he’ll keep trying until somebody proves him wrong. Nix has a certain need to be in a relationship, to be bound to someone else in a way that feels permanent. Deep down, he has the feeling that everyone leaves, especially the people who make the mistake of getting close to him. Putting a ring on it makes things feel more permanent, like they won’t just up and run as soon as things start to get difficult. Nix isn’t afraid of commitment  ---  he just doesn’t feel like anyone can, or should, commit to him.)

X   :   XOXO.   does your muse use / like pet names?

“Sweetheart” is his big one, and he’ll whip out the occasional “darling”...  or “dear”, which is nearly always sarcastic. He’ll sometimes get creative with them, (ex:  “Guts 'N Glory here applied for a transfer...”) but never use those more than once  ---  heaven forbid he become boring.

Y   :   YOURS.   does your muse get protective easily?

Yes, and it’s completely removed from his jealous tendencies. Nix does not like to see the people he cares about threatened under any circumstances. He’s a lover, not a fighter...  but he’s a lover with a lot of money, and a big brain he knows how to use. He has the resources at his disposal to publicly obliterate someone, and could find dirt on a saint. Just give Nix a reason. In the moment, he’ll diffuse the situation as best as possible, maybe warning someone off or leading his loved one away. The real show happens after the fact.
