How YouTube plays ads now makes watching videos on the platform downright unwatchable.

It used to SOMETIMES be a single ad before a video. It was annoying, but you could live with it.

Then it turned into there being TWO ads on some videos. One in the beginning and one in the middle. Again, annoying, but it was livable. Plus, it usually happened on longer videos. It kind of make sense and sometimes YouTube would mark where an ad would be, preparing you for it better.

Then, I think at this point, YouTube started putting ads at the END of their videos. Wasn't too big of a deal. It just meant you could have a longer time to wait before replaying the video, but other than that, you'll be looking for something new to watch anyway. It's whatever.

THEN you sometimes got ads you couldn't skip. There were still skipable ads here and there, but you were still forced to sit through ads that were unskippable. Still annoying, pretty aggravating, but still. You powered through.

THEN you got DOUBLE the ads. Some you couldn't skip, some you could skip, and most of the time it was just...a pain in the ass. All around. STILL, you got through it. It doesn't ruin the video and it'll sometimes be something annoying to deal with. Big whoop.

THEN ads would replay even if you skipped PAST them. It used to be that after you got to a point where an ad played, that was it. It played, it promoted its thing, and then fucked off into the either. If you wanted to go back and rewatch this one particular bit, it'll let you. But now, if you go back, it'll play ANOTHER ad that WOULD have played in between the spot you skipped to and from. And, if you were a few minutes or a few seconds before another ad would play, it would play that add AGAIN.

Oh, speaking of which, NOW it feels like an ad plays randomly. You cannot watch anything for too long before it gets interrupted by some kind of ad. I'm not kidding, I feel like I run into an ad every five minutes if a video's long enough, and it's INFURIATING.

The one upside is that ads are less annoying...if the video is short enough. Like if it's a song or a clip of your favorite show. You'll sometimes get an ad at the beginning or the end of the video, but that's about it. HOWEVER given how ad crazy YouTube's been, it wouldn't surprise me if it gets that far too.

FUCK. ADS. ON. YOUTUBE. FUCK 'em.

I hate this app platform. Like just leave transgender people alone. They just want to attack and use them as a scapegoat for their problems.

Welp. The whole YouTube thing has made a turn for the worse. Weirdest part? I'M STILL NOT SEEING THE POPUPS. And I might've found an EVEN EASIER solution for it! If using Firefox, head to your Privacy and Security settings

And then...

Enable "Always" under the "Do Not Track" setting. Because some people will habitually miss this, this COULD actually help you in the long run, since I saw a source says that some browsers have a built-in "Do Not Track" signal set up. Microsoft Edge being one of the browsers that has an automatic "Do Not Track" signal set up. Regardless, be sure to set your "Do Not Track signal up to "Always" on whatever browser you're using. If this has been what has been keeping me from seeing these popups on YouTube, then this is a WAY easier way to avoid it altogether!!

And by all means, tell me if this has worked for you. I've been wondering why the HELL I haven't seen of the YouTube popups, and this may be why!

MAJOR UPDATE(10/28/23):

Do NOT forget to disable pop-up windows on your browser's settings, because this is ALSO something I happen to do by habit that has ALSO kept the YouTube pop-ups away. My mom just figured this out and I forgot to inform her about this too, so NOW I've gotten it figured out!

According to other sources, YouTube's ad-blocker detection software is REALLY good at finding ad-blocking add-ons for browsers, so setting "Do Not Track" to "Always" and "Block Pop-up Windows" is possibly your ticket to steering clear of this software YouTube has.

Hey, mutuals, I need to ask you something cuz maybe some of you have the answer.

Does anyone else have a problem with YouTube replies? Lately whenever I type a reply there's a 50% chance that it's not gonna stay. My internet connection is ok, I didn't write any curse words that would get me banned, I cleaned the app in my settings, the app is also updated, but when I write a reply it usually doesn't stay whether it's under my comment or somebody else's. I wait to see if it's going to load, I try again and it doesn't work. For weeks now, it didn't happen before. Does anyone know what could be the problem?

While searching on Bing.com search engine "Urban Hollywood" and "That "Grape Juice" is maliciously misleading and redirecting people from my platform (ELAY TV) Whenever I click on my thumbnails with the subject matter of "Claudia Jordan" my content/videos gets re directed to Urban Hollywood and "Grape Juice" They are stealing views from me and watch time. I don't even know how long this have been going on. I am saddened I have been on YouTube 12 years and not monetized. Could this be why?

This wasn't "infuriating" enough for r/mildlyinfuriating so I'll have to post it here.

For those of you wondering how I hit the limit, Star Rail just updated and I played through the whole story. That plus little things about bugs I found and some other stuff I forgot to edit and post the other day. I decided to work on it all today before it gets out of hand.

I'm not on a schedule. I don't get paid and doubt I ever will since I don't talk in my videos. I only want to share glitches, gameplay, and funny team comps. Most my stuff is rarely edited. I'm not professional in any way. I nor any casual uploader should have to show their face or ID.
