Two completely unrelated JRPGs used the same piece of classical music
God, I'd absolutely forgotten that Gymnopedie was use in Innocent Sin. I feel like my brain autoblocks anything else but the Aria of the Soul playing in the Velvet Room.
I do remember this in Earthbound, but mostly because it's like ... the only piece of piano music I ever learned to play and got excited about that.
#I have zero piano training#I can read music but I'm a classically trained Saxophonist#which meant I learned to play Oboe parts on the Alto Sax since they're the only E Flat instruments in an orchestra#and then spent my last two years in high school mcstruggling to do jazz#I can play it fine I just can't improvise to save my life#earthbound#persona 2

my pet peeve as a musician is tattoos or jewellery or murals or illustrations that feature "sheet music" that makes no sense at all. mirrored quavers, no bar lines, the clef inbetween the notes (probably also mirrored), when the staff is all wavy....
#quite a few people i know from orchestra and band have music-themed jewellery and i saw a very cute choker recently with music notes#but alas it made zero sense. as a music snob i cant wear that in good conscience lol#also i think a cooler tattoo than just a lonely clef would be an entire line (or page? that would be quite big) of sheet music#with all the symbols etc. but i dont really have a specific piece of music that i feel that strongly about and i dont want to get a tattoo#but something to consider! in five years or so lol
