Pain constricts his chest. Breaths come short and quick. Hot tears burn trails from his eyes to his ears.

The floor is unforgivingly hard against her back.

And through the pain, the heat, the ringing in her ears and pounding of her head, all she wants is to scream.

It's not fucking fair.

The tears don't come from pain anymore. They're born of frustration, of fury, of helpless, white-hot rage that sweeps through him so fiercely that he can forget about everything for a moment.

"Fuck this world," he cries, and his voice is raspy, hollow from crying and pain and imminent death. "Oh Fates, fuck it all."

Zyphr cries freely now, tortured lungs heaving with the weight of his sobs, body unable to move save for the desperate, hysteric up-and-down of his chest.

"YOU DIDN'T HAVE TO TAKE HER," her words are broken, voice cracking and squeaking and scratching blood from her throat, but she can't bring herself to care. She was going to die, anyways. "YOU COULD'VE LET HER LIVE."

"WHAT WAS THE POINT OF IT ALL THEN?"

Not fair. Not fair, not fair, not fair.

"FATES! ALL YOU- WHAT HAVE YOU EVER-" but he doesn't know how to finish his sentence.

But couldn't they at least have told her what would happen?

"Please," she begs, but doesn't know for what. Relief? Death?

"Just..."

Unconsciousness tugs at her. Her eyes won't stop watering, chest won't stop heaving for breath that won't come.

"Zenyth..."

A broken plea. A desperate call. Bleary eyes roll, staring up at everything, nothing.

She would come, wouldn't she? She always came. She was always there to protect him.

"Zenyth, please."

I don't want to die.

"I'm sorry," he finally coughs.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, just... Zenyth, please."

But no one catches him as he falls.

Someone wakes him after he's fallen.

Summary - Aether is moving to a new church, Dewdrop doesn't know how to feel. And that's ok.

Dewdrop knew it was coming, but it didn’t make it hurt any less. Aether had been packing up for a few weeks, all his things in boxes ready to leave.

Aether had told all of them that he was going to another church to work, everyone was upset of course but Dew had been destroyed . He was sad, confused, and most of all furious he hadn’t even found out through Aether. It had been through Mountian. Aether hadn’t even fucking bothered to tell him.

That’s how this all started, Dewdrop was hiding away in his room until Aether left. He thought that maybe if he distanced himself it would hurt less, he’d be able to ignore the feeling of a hole in his chest. He was curled up in his bed, sheets messily thrown on top of himself when there was a soft knock on the door. “Dew?” Rain called out before slowly opening the door, blinking a few times to adjust to the darkness of Dewdrop's room.

The water ghoul made his way over to Dew’s bed, sitting on the edge and resting a hand on Dewdrop's leg.

“Listen…I know you’re upset, but Aether’s leaving today. Don’t you want to say goodbye?” Raine asked, rubbing Dewdrop's leg softly.

Dewdrop just grumbled as he sat up, he looked awful. His hair was a mess, and he just looked exhausted. “It won’t do anything. He didn’t even tell me he was leaving.” Dewdrop said, his voice sounding hateful.

He wanted to say he hated Aether, he was glad he was leaving and just to express his anger but he couldn’t. Because none of it was true. He loved Aether, and he wasn’t ready for him to leave.

It’s not that it came as a shock, Everyone he loved did eventually. First, it was Alpha, then Ifrit, then Omega, then Zyphr, Fuck even cowbell. No one ever stayed. The only thing they all did was promise, they all promised they would stay. That they would be here for him. 

So he let them, he let them in. He let them care, he let them love, he let them say how much they wanted him. And all for what?

Rain sighed at Dewdrop's response “I know dewbug… but it might be good closure. To say Goodbye, see him one last time.” Rain said with a soft smile.

After a few more minutes of convincing Dew finally agreed to come down to the common room to see Aether off.

The fire ghoul couldn’t help the pit forming in his stomach, he really wanted this all to be a bad dream. Something he could wake up from and have Aether there to put him back together again.

As Dewdrop and Rain reached the common room Dew thought he might be sick, seeing Aether again after avoiding him for weeks just to see him leave. He had wanted to avoid this, avoid this feeling of dread that had been building up.

He hated this, he hated that someone had managed to get him to care this much.

The ghouls made their rounds, giving hugs and saying their goodbyes. Until no one but Dew was left.

“Dewdrop listen I-” Aether began to say before he was abruptly cut off but Dewdrop wrapped his arms tightly around him.

“Please don’t go, You promised” The fire ghoul whispered into Aether's chest.

Aether wrapped his arms around Dewdrop's torso, holding the smaller ghoul.

“I know, and I’m sorry. I’m sorry I couldn’t even tell you myself. I didn’t want to see the look on your face when you found out.” Aether said, guilt seeping into his voice as the two ghouls stood there in each other's embrace.

Dewdrop was the first to pull away, his eyes brimming with tears that Aether brushed away with the pads of his thumbs. “This isn’t a goodbye, it’s a see you another time. I will find you in every life Dew, you’re my light. My Firefly.” Aether said, pressing a soft kiss to the fire ghoul's hands before pressing one to his lips.

Dew’s lip trembled as he tried to hold himself together, looking Aether in his eyes. 

“Promise? I mean Really promise?” Dewdrop said tentatively.

The question made Aether crack a small smile, He brushed a fallen hair out of Dew’s face before speaking again.

“I promise. Nothing could keep me from coming back to you” Aether said, slowly pulling his hands away from Dewdrop. “You are going to do amazing things, I just know it.” The quintessence ghoul declared before stepping away.

Aether said his final goodbyes before leaving, all of the ghouls standing together and watching as he made his leave.

Dewdrop came to the decision he was happy he let him go, that he said goodbye. Yeah, it would hurt for a while, but then it would get better. He’d figure things out, and he’d push himself to always improve, for Aether. 

It wasn’t the ending he wanted for them, but it’s what he got, and he was ok with that. It was for the best.

And sometimes the best endings are the ones that hurt the most.

I’m sorry but I need to get a second opinion, my mom was watching some people talk about avengers recently and I said that that a straight, white man could relate to a character in any media, my mom said something about women in the mcu and I replied, “yes and they are all fit and attractive”. She told me now that in order to be a superhero you have to be fit because you wouldn’t have time to be ,,sitting on your ass and collecting fat’’ if you were out there being fit, I said that these superheroes are graced with supernatural abilities regardless of their weight and it has no effect upon it and she said that doesn’t matter because if you’re fat you aren’t flexible and can’t do anything superheroes do. Then she said I looked like I weighed 3 tons in my shirt and I walked away because she’s impossible to argue with. This is a multifaceted issue, your mom is dealing with internalized fatphobia and a utter lack of imagination. Superheros are fake, they can do whatever the heckies we want! 

If we want to have a so called “reasonable suspension of disbelief” Fat athletes are a thing that exist in reality right this moment. People who are fat and are exception for their physical talents and skills.

"Flake's discovery."

Flake wanders around the top of the castle, like they usually do on Saturday. They decided to check out further than it usually does.

Suddenly they find itself at a big door leading to what looks to be, a big sort of shrine. But it isn't sure.

Flake opens the door. Scared for what's about to come. They fear the worst. Being deleted. But what they find is not what Flake had expected.

"The fountain..?"

It was the dark fountain.. but wasn't that behind Queen's castle? This isn't behind it at all. Was the other one, an illusion? Of all people Flake should know if something is an illusion or not. He litterally specifies in magic!

"I should warn the others, but.. I don't think they'd believe me. Not many people know of me anyway." It's true. Flake wasn't well known unlike the other addisons. They'd just kind of wander around the more darker parts of the cyber city.

"I'll have to wait until a lightner comes and closes it off. But with that... i will rather have this world saved even if that means what it does. Than letting all the dark worlds get destroyed."

Flake has waited. And waited. Until.. a young little deer in a wizards robe shows up.

Project Infinity Characters - Part 1

Hi hello to my audience of less than 10 people! This is mostly a reference for me because Pinterest is being a butt and won’t let me add notes on photos.  All of these characters appear and have lines in PI!
