So Kalyba fumbled Ead in TPOTOT, fumbled Tunuva in ADOFN, and Samathan Shannon has both another prequel and a sequel planned for the series. Odds are Kalyba will fumble Galian Berethnet in the prequel. For the sequel, she's technically dead, but I believe in her failwoman energy. I believe she's capable of fumbling a baddie from beyond the grave.

i cannot be the only priory fan confused about tané’s ending. i’m not at all confused about the whole tané being related to neporo thing, i understand that. i’m more confused about why on earth she woke up damp with blood???? I THOUGHT SHE’D BE OKAY HELLO???????? does anyone have any idea why this happened or is also just as confused as me 😔

sometimes, if i gaze for a few too many moments into the cracked mirror at my bedside, i see him.

i see his viridian eyes and his much too thick brows; untameable, dark, suffocating the eyes beneath.

i see his smile, all teeth and gums, a crooked thing.

i see his hair, how it goes limp after a day and hangs dead around pale shoulders.

i see his anger. feel it. it runs through my veins. always there, a first resort, sharp like a dog’s bite.

i feel his addiction. his reliance on the cans stacked on the kitchen countertop of our flat.

i harbour his physical scars, if only in different forms, burns against cuts and they aren’t too contrasting.

i carry his broken brain, the crookedness of our thought process, our mania and our episodes.

i am every awful thing about my father.

i just recently bought the priory of the orange tree and i can’t believe i’ve never heard of it before. all my life i’ve been looking for a sapphic fantasy book to throw myself into and i only recently found out about priory. i must say it made me mildly emotional to hear people talk about how sexuality isn’t something that hinders a character’s story— it’s simply another part of them. and when a character’s queerness does cause problems, they find ways to overcome it. it’s so beautiful to see writing that seamlessly weaves in queerness with the characters, and from what i’ve heard it’s beautifully done representation. so excited to read it!!

sundays with apollo

I wake up and say good morning to him. if I'm awake before sunrise, I'll wait until then.

I get up and make my bed, then have breakfast. I'll usually offer some to him if I think he'll like it.

I have a bath with crystals and essential oils, and I listen to my devotional playlist to relax !

when I'm dressed—usually in colours that represent him— I take a moment to sit and pray, then simply talk about my woes to the sun!

after praying, I do a tarot pull. I then write about my cards and my interpretation of them in my journal/grimoire.

I spend the rest of my day doing things that remind me of apollo, or just things I needed to do but with him on my mind while listening to—again— my devotional playlist.

I usually write poetry, or do some research, or maybe I'll pull out my guitar. I find things that remind me of apollo !

at sunset I'll say goodnight and spend my evening curled up with a good book and some chamomile tea before bed.

apollo kisses my skin, leaves freckles on my shoulders. he blows on my face to coax my eyes open in the morning. he sings to my soul, tells me to embrace the gifts he's given me. so I do. I step outside, feet bare, wearing a smile. I take out my book; I draw, I sing, I write.
