HAPPENING NOW: passover seder from our comrades in columbia's liberated zone/gaza solidarity encampment. this encampment is a profoundly religious space. we've seen muslim protesters praying multiple times a day, a christian communion was held, and multiple jewish prayers/celebrations have taken place. solidarity is a beautiful thing, palestine will be free.🖤🇵🇸

Brianna Ghey was a 16 year old trans girl who was murdered on Saturday 11 February 2023 in the UK.

and as you can imagine, there are some dickheads who are dismissing this tragedy, cheering on this crime, and celebrating at this loss of life BECAUSE Brianna was trans.

this is what transphobia leads to. this is what happens when irrational hate for trans people, because these bigots seem to forget that we are PEOPLE, remains prevalent in wider society. this is what happens when the basic human right to live as happily and healthily as possible is discarded and overstepped for the sake of remaining in the repressive and oppressive status quo that benefits no one but the privileged.

you lose the ability to see other people as people. you lose your humanity, all for a moment of feeling superior over someone whose life is different to your own.

How You Can Strike for Palestine

I had a thought about Sonic Prime throughout the series. If there are dimensional counterparts of Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Rouge, and Big, does that mean that there were supposed to be other Sonics and Shadows? Maybe we didn’t see any since Sonic shattered the prism and Shadow was “outside the stream” so to speak, which caused them to be erased from the dimensions. Now that the prism is restored, maybe their dimensional counterparts were restored too after they got back to Green Hills. The dimensions could be completely different now from how we saw them in the show. The entire nature of the worlds could be different if they each had their own “Sonic” and “Shadow”.

I kind of wished they did something like the other dimensional “Sonics” and “Shadows” being ghosts in their worlds like Sonic’s friends were in Green Hill and people’s memories of them were erased when the prism was shattered because they were erased from their dimension. Sonic’s presence would trigger their memories as they interact and when they touch their prism shard, they remember their “Sonic”. This would make everyone want to restore the prism and get their true worlds back. It makes me wonder how different the story would be if this were true.

the UK's 'anti-BDS' boycott bill is returning to parliament for a third reading and vote Wednesday 10th of January.

this proposed law is not aimed at individuals, it would be impossible to stop people from boycotting, but instead targets public bodies like universities, public sectors, and councils in the UK. this would prevent public bodies from making ethical choices about where they want to invest their employee's pension funds. e.g. pension funds could be invested into companies that make arms for countries committing genocide.

the anti-boycott bill explicitly mentions Israel, trying to give them protection from public body boycotts as well as undermine the Palestinian led campaign for boycotting. it's disgusting and disgraceful.
