this is so true and needs to be a question every queer person asks themselves. in 7th grade one of my best friends was an unpassing trans girl, her name was taylor, and i think more people need to have that experience and have that acceptance because not all trans people look the same, they all deserve respect and to be viewed the correct way

there's a post where someone said "can you respect trans women who look like men" and someone responded something like "hell yeah I love people who fuck with gender!" and like... yeah that's cool, but in a lot of spaces "trans woman who looks like a man" is a lot less likely to be someone who is intentionally comfortably presenting masculine, and a lot more likely to be a girl who hasn't started transition, or can't safely, or just didn't or couldn't put in the effort to pass as fem today, and a lot of them will just look like schlubby dudes and not a radically presenting queer person. and you should be able to respect that.

absolutely crazy to me how through the books, leo's pov is always talking about how he feels left out of the 7, and he doesn't have any friends or family that isnt the 7 so. hes literally sad about the fact that hes never truly had anyone love him, since his mom died. he juggled foster homes and ran away from things and even now that he HAS friends and a prophecized future and everything? "to storm or fire the world must fall", he STILL feels like the least important member of the group. the 7th wheel. the one nobody is actually friends with. hes so incredibly used to feeling unloved. AND THEN RICK GIVES HIM A GIRLFRIEND. theres so much wrong with calypso but first of all it was also just shitty to give him a romantic interest before letting him heal his friendships and mental health. AND. CALYPSO ONLY LOVES HIM BECAUSE SHES CURSED TO FALL IN LOVE WITH EVERYONE WHO LANDS ON HER ISLAND. SHE ONLY LOVES LEO BECAUSE SHE IS PHYSICALLY BEING FORCED TO AND SHE ISNT EVEN NICE TO HIM. the difference here is remus was well adjusted enough to not lose it and seek revenge. (he shouldve, dumbledor deserves to get punched, but still), and barty locked moody in a trunk for an entire schoolyear for killing evan.

they could've been the same person. the situations were just unfair??
