I need more fics about Sirius and Draco.

Draco reminding Sirius of Regulus, growing up in a pure blood household without anyone to correct his views until he was in too deep. Draco who certainly looks down on Kreacher, but is trying, which is more than anyone in that house has done for years. Draco who he doesn’t want dying in some unknown way, for a war he’s on the wrong side of.

Draco learning from Sirius. Sirius who understands the strange, transactional way Draco views the world, Sirius who understands the fear and uncertainty of abandoning the life and family he once knew to be a better person.

Sirius who is staying with Remus, who may or may not have more or less patience for Draco but will certainty try his best to act like it as a previous teacher. Remus who sees a boy that’s started to view himself as a monster, except this one doesn’t go away after a full moon.

I don’t want their relationship to be easy. I want Sirius to (willingly or unwillingly) take on responsibility as Draco’s uncle and realise it’s much harder than he thought. To realise that taking care of this kid, teaching him, requires effort to change a bratty, not quite redeemed kid, requires him to learn empathy for Regulus who stayed behind, requires him getting somewhat dragged back into the world of the House of Black, requires him going from ‘this kid’ to ‘my kid’ before he’s even realised it.

Just a Matter of Time (before i lose my mind) // chapter 5

Sirius immediately scowled. “Lupin?” Lupin crossed his arms. “Yes, and you’re lucky I found you.” His brow furrowed. “Are you… alright?” Belatedly, Sirius realised he probably looked a right mess – his hair was sweaty and tangled, and his face felt hot; likely a blotchy red. He could feel dried tear tracks on his face. Scrubbing a hand over his face, he snapped, “I’m fine. Just don’t fancy being cramped up in a fucking closet, is all. How’d you find me, anyway?” Lupin hesitated. He almost looked concerned. Sirius deepened his scowl. “Well?” Lupin huffed and shook his head. “I bumped into James and Petter on my way back from the library. They asked if I’d seen you because you weren’t in your room, and I said I hadn’t, and then, uh…” He scratched his arm. “Well, I started heading back to my room after that, and I guess I happened to walk down the right hallway because I passed by this door and… sort of heard you crying.” Sirius felt his cheeks heat. He crossed his arms. “I wasn’t crying.” “Oh.” Lupin eyed him suspiciously.

jegulus aquarium date has been haunting me

i still think its hilarious how neil went 'kevin and i talk about your intricate and endless daddy issues all the time' because they literally never do. he just made that up and dragged kevin under the bus as well for no fucking reason other than to be dramatic.

i love that neil is canonically 5’3. like it’s easy to forget that he is also pretty small because of how much freaking aura this kid has in every room he walks into. i always forget that he’s literally like. he’s a short king. andrew’s known as the “tiny” goalkeeper but neil isn’t that much taller. yet he has insane presence so you kind of don’t even notice most of the time. and i love that he leans into things like his speed, his endurance, his agility when playing exy in line with this, as opposed to strength/size. it makes me love him even more.

thinking about the fact that Neil matched Kevin's and Andrew's freak almost immediately. just straight up figured out how they ticked and walked them like dogs for three books straight. to everyone else, Kevin and Andrew are insane. to Neil, they make perfect sense.
