So far in LA an Australian news reporter has been shot in the leg by a rubber bullet, a British reporter has been shot by a sponge bullet and sent to the hospital for emergency surgery. A NY Post reporter has been shot in the head with a rubber bullet and went to the hospital for a large bruise on his forehead, whiplash and neck pain, and CNN reporters were handcuffed and escorted away being told to not come back or they will be arrested BECAUSE they are reporters.

It seems like all reporters there to give the real story are being targeted by police/ICE/military in LA.

disabled people are worth the extra effort it takes to accommodate them. it's worth going the longer route together that's wheelchair accessible. it's worth the time and effort to research places to eat that work with specific allergies or food intolerances. and it's worth the price if those places or that food is more expensive. it's worth going further to buy something gluten-free or nut free or dairy free for your party or get together. it's worth adding extra travel time, or planning an overnight stay instead of a day trip. it's worth learning how to administer medication for people who need it. it's worth learning how to call ahead to check if somewhere is accessible. it's worth the whole friend group going to the film screening with captions even if only 1 person needs it. disability often means having to do more work, more planning, take up more space, more money, more time. it's false to say it's as easy as having an abled companion, but that effort is worth taking. it's not wasted because it's all spent in favour of a disabled person, and that's always worthwhile

With that being said, I am taking a bit of a break because my birthday's coming up and I wanna chill out with some friends I haven't seen in years. Aside from occasional reblogs, I'm leaving this blog to Willow for a bit.

Alright, after some calmer thinking, I've decided to delete that post after all to get rid of the discourse once and for all because that is not what this blog is for.

While I still hold the belief that feminism should be a fight for equality of the sexes (which does include female liberation, just so it's clear, it is on me for overly simplifying it at first) and that it shouldn't exclude anyone from the fight, I do apologize for saying that radical feminists are not real feminists.

And while I will still disagree with them on many things, no doubt, they are fighting for women, yes. And I do see that, I am simply upset about the exclusion of other people from their fights. I myself aim to fight for all the people who fight the same oppressor as I do.

If you would like to have a conversation about our views and the differences in them, I invite you to the askbox of my main blog. You're free to disagree with me, and if you do, then simply block both this and my main blog. I am not interested in arguing with you and I genuinely wish I could understand your point of view. I will listen, as long as you can explain without weaponizing my pronouns and chosen name, which has, unfortunately, happened before.

Honestly I see many Republicans claim trump has a plan and to just wait and see.

I've tried asking what this plan is and they never tell me. Infact everytime I have tried being civil and asked to hear their side they have a full blown meltdown.

I don't think there ever was a plan. I just think they don't want to feel guilty for the hellish shit they voted in.

they're blocked on sight, so I'm not too bothered. it wouldn't be the first time terfs invade trans/trans-positive space, i've had the displeasure of having to ask a terf to delete her reblog of my fanfic because i'm trans and i don't feel uncomfortable with someone who openly hates trans people sharing my content and got pretty much scoffed at because "what does being trans have to do with that", while i was openly trans on that sideblog.

on a positive note, they don't really have a case. they had to put words in my mouth to have a point. someone even made fun of one of my chosen names because they didn't have anything better. at most, they're mildly irritating but amusing, since they seem to consider themselves some sort of kool kids klub within feminists.

i still stand by what i said, by the way. i am more than open to discussing my view with them and having a conversation/debate, but i doubt they would be able to actually willing to talk without resolving to being condescending and disrespectful.

i am much more focused on opinions of people i offer a safe space to, however. i know how needed it is. at the end of the day, i stick to my books, as Preminger said. i have no use of panicking over terfs.

i can only hope they open up their eyes eventually. because while i would fight for their rights, i know they wouldn't fight for mine.

Hi, I might've misunderstood your point (in which case I am really sorry, there's a lot going on right now), so I figured I'd respond!

I'm gonna start with the second paragraph, because I believe this is the part we agree on, that sex industry is absolutely fucking dreadful and exploitative. And that we should fight for them, which is why I don't believe SWERFs (Sex Worker-Exclusionary Radical Feminists)are real feminists. Because they exclude sex workers from people they fight for, instead of trying to create a better world where they don't have to resolve to sex working.

The first paragraph is what has me a little confused, though, but I think that's because we might've misunderstood each other. Again, it might've just been me misunderstanding, though. To me, it seems like you're trying to make that I believe trans people should not be criticized in any way, which absolutely isn't what I meant. I believe people should be held accountable of their actions, no matter who they are or what they identify as. I don't know where you got that idea from and I do hope that it was just a misunderstanding. I firmly believe that if trans people propagate misogynistic points of view, they should be treated the exact same way cis people should be treated for the same thing. TERFs (Trans-Eclusionary Radical Feminists) however, promotes mistreatment of trans people, seeing trans men as girls mutilating their bodies and trans women as monsters trying to get into women's spaces to abuse them.

I, and by extension the Nosferatu Library, don't stand for feminism that excludes anyone.

TERFs and SWERFs are hate groups. They are not feminists.

I do admit I might've over-exaggerated with radfems based on personal experience, because while the ideology is completely fair, most radfems I have personally interacted with were unfortunately extremists, who instead of that, were just trying to flip the roles, declaring complete female supremacy and treating men the way men have been treating women. This has created a negative sentiment in me towards them, just how my country's history created a negative sentiment towards communism. Both are very good ideas on paper, but the people have used it in a way that changes it into a system of opression.

If you have any radical feminism resources or recommendations of resources that I could look into that would help me see it in a better light, I would be delighted to see those and admit that I was wrong.
