I am a Witch
I am the woman who retained the Magick from her youth. I see the delights the universe aligns for us and the signs that advise us on how to be closer to ourselves. I will not relent my ways, for I am happy this way.
I will walk outside and revel in the beauty mother earth has given us. I will protect the world that lives and breathes all around me and I will forever seek to feel the heartbeat the resounds from the very depths of the earth.
I will call upon the Magick within my own self and seek out the Magick the exists within the universe. I will use spells, I will speak clearly the words of my chants, and will always stride to be my best self.
I will live by the youthful joy of the maiden, nurture like the mother, and seek to retain the wisdom of the crone. I love the wonders within and around me, I care for our world and others surrounding me, and I will hold true to the truths that I have and will learn.
I keep my head held high, for I am a witch and proud of it.

Anxiety Relief Jar:

I've been struggling with anxiety as of late, so I created a spell jar to help contain it. Hopefully, this can help someone else as well!

What you'll need:
A jar or bottle
Way to decorate jar
A black candle (optional)
A small item to represent your anxiety (optional)
Sea salt or Black Salt
Paper
Writing utensil
Candle wax, tape, or ribbon/string
Dirt, pebbles, etc.

Steps:
1) Grab your trusty jar or bottle and begin to decorate the outside (I used paint). You can be as creative or as minimalistic as you like with this. The idea here is to create your idea of what a safe container looks like. You're going to be placing all of your anxiety into it, so you're going to want it to feel secure.
2) If you have a black candle start burning it now, otherwise, don't worry about this step.
3) You're now going to pour either sea salt or black salt into the bottom of the jar, so we can begin layering it.
4) Take the representation of your anxiety and place it in the jar. If you couldn't think of a symbol for your stress, you can also write them down on paper.
Example: If you're worried about finances you might place a small coin at the bottom.
5) Now either place dirt or pebbles over it to weigh it down.
7) Place more salt over top to help trap the negativity inside.
8) On the piece of paper write out, "I'm leaving my anxiety in here, so it is no longer inside me."
9) Once finished, fold the paper three times and place it in the jar.
10) Chant, "My anxiety is banished from me." three times.
11) Put the lid on the jar and use your candle wax, ribbon, or string to permanently seal your anxiety inside.
12) State once more, "I banish my anxiety" and if you have a candle, blow it out.
13) You can now discard the jar or hide it away however you see fit. I chose to bury mine.

Sad Feelings Help:

Sometimes there are days where we feel down and just can't seem to shake it off. It just feels like there's no way to feel better.
Those days are hard, so here are some spells and exercises to help you feel better!

✿ Send It Away ✿
This trick is an oldie, but a goodie.
What you'll need:
Paper
Pen
Sea Salt
Fire Safe Bowl
Matches or Lighter
Note: Please do this in a safe area and to have an adult present if you are a minor!
First, write down all of your negative feelings and/or what's distressing you onto the piece of paper.
Second, you will want to place the paper into your fire safe bowl (I use a metal pot).
Third, light the paper on fire and as it burns visualize those feelings leaving your body as the smoke rises into the air.
Finally, poor the salt over top of it all. This helps with cleansing and ensures that the fire is completely out.

✿ Self Care and Cleanse ✿
I do this to help break a depression spell, therefore, there's a lot of self care involved.
What you'll need:
Clean Area
A Shower/Bath
Clean Clothes
Something that makes you happy
Matches or lighter (Optional)
Sage (Any Kind and Optional)
Alright, I want you to pick a room and clean it. It doesn't matter how much or how little you clean it, just as long as there's a good four by four foot square you can stand in.
Now, you're going to gather up some clean clothes and head for the shower/bath. You can go as fancy or as simple as you desire with this. Essentially, you don't have to give yourself a spa day if you don't want to. Just make sure to wash your hair and body.
As you wash away the dirt and grime off of your body, imagine that you are also washing away the negativity from your mind as well.
Put on your clean outfit and feel free to do some more in depth self care (moisturizing, doing your nails, putting on makeup, etc) if you so desire.
Optional step: Now grab your sage and go to your cleaned space to preform a smoke cleansing to help clear your space of negative energy.
Finally, do the thing you enjoy (watch a show, read a book, write, walk, cook, walk, etc).

✿ Socailize ✿
Yeah, I know, everyone says this, but it really can help. You don't necessarily have to talk to someone about your feelings or what's bothering you though. Sometimes just having someone around you can really help lift your mood and make you feel better.

Migraine help:

Migraines tend to be debilitating. Besides an overall throbbing pain in one area of the head, someone may experience several or all of the following symptoms: light sensitivity, sound sensitivity, nausea/vomiting, dizziness/virtigo, and auras. With all of this in mind, it's undeniable that migraines are miserable, so here are a few things that may help you feel better!

Rest:

Resting in a dark and quiet room is the first thing most people suggest. It probably won't make the migraine go away, however, it does help limit irritants and reduces pain as a result.
A second benifit to resting is sleep. Though not all migraines respond to sleep, it can still give you a break from the pain. And who knows? Maybe when you wake up, your migraine will have dissipated.

Warm/Cold Compress:

Apply something cold(ice-pack, a bag of peas, etc) to the back of your neck and a cool rag to your forehead, this can help reduce any swelling, as well as, nausea. Do this for 10 to 15 minutes.
Apply a warm compress (heating pad or warm cloth) to the area that hurts. If you begin to feel too hot or uncomfortable, remove the compress, otherwise hold it there for 10 min.
Note: You can switch between the two if you desire or use just one. Do whatever helps you feel better!

Hydrate:

The most frequently given tip is to drink more fluids. It can be pretty annoying having to drink a bunch of water, however, your body needs it and when you're unwell, it needs more of it. In short, make sure to stay hydrated!

Massage:

Try rubbing your temples, neck, and shoulders. Migraines sometimes stem from muscle tension, thus rubbing these areas can help relieve pain. If you can, have someone massage your shoulders. Make sure to stop if it makes the pain worse!

Aroma Therapy:

Certain smells can help relieve headaches and can have a calming effect. You can either purchase an essential oil diffuser or sprinkle it around the room.
Peppermint, Rosemary, Lavender, Chamomile, and Eucalyptus are all smells that have been shown to help relieve headaches.
I personally like mixing Peppermint and Eucalyptus, but that smell can be overwhelming to some people-- just a little warning.

Crystals:

Some people believe crystals can help migraines and headaches in general. So far my basic understanding is that crystals emmit high frequencies that can promote healing.
In my research, the most frequently suggested crystals for headaches are: rose quartz, clear quartz, lapis, and amethyst.
You can wear the crystals as jewelry, put them in your room, or under your pillow. I, personally, place clear quartz beside my bed because it helps reduce negative energy and can be used to repel people (if you throw it hard enough).

Unloading Mental Baggage:
Alright, so with everything that's been going on I feel we all need a way to get rid of some of our mental baggage. You can use this as a spell and/or a physical representation of letting go of your troubles.
Items Needed:
Paper
Pen
Red and Black String/Thread
Old Bag, Pouch, Jar, or Box
Sea Salt or Black Salt (optional)
Candle (optional)
Spell Version:
Light a white candle before starting. After this take the paper and write down things that trouble you or things you wish to let go of, feel free to use as many sheets as needed. If there is a person in particular that is troubling you, I suggest adding a representation of this person as well. Once done fold all the paper in half and write "I am rid of you for good. I am done with you forever. I am free of you always." Then place all the paper in your chosen container, pour your choice of salt over top, close the container, and wrap the red and black string around it a minimum of three times. Go to the candle, say, "I am rid of you for good. I am done with you forever. I am free of you always." then blow out the candle flame. Now, take your tied up container and go for a short walk or drive in any direction to a waste bin AWAY from your home. Throw the container into the trashcan and say, "I am free of the stress you cause, I will not allow you to burden my mind, spirit, or soul any longer. So I mote it so shall it be by the power of three." After this, walk/drive home without looking back.
Non-Spell Version:
Write down all your troubles and worries on paper (if you need multiple sheets, that's fine). Once finished, fold the paper in half and write some varient of, "I am letting these go, they will no longer trouble me." Now, put the paper in your chosen container, close it up, and wrap the thread/string around the container. After this, go on a short walk or drive to a trash bin, make sure it is AWAY from your home. Once you reach your destination toss the tied up baggage and say, "I'm letting these go." Now walk/drive home without looking back, you no longer have to worry about these struggles.
This year has been hard on all of us in different ways, so take time to unload your stresses and I hope all of you are able to find some peace of mind in this final stretch of the year.

Ridding Yourself of Negativity and Bottled Emotions:
I have been asked via DM for a spell and/or exercise that I use to help get rid of pent up negativity, emotions, and/or thoughts. I thought others might need something akin to this, so I made it into a post! And no worries if you're not into witchy things because this contains both a spell and non-spell/exercise!
Materials Needed:
Three sheets of paper
A writing utensil, preferably a pen or marker
Something to represent the negativity, something that is either easily torn or cut up. A drawing, written feelings, or even a found object are all acceptable
A trash can
A black or white candle (optional)
Unionized sea salt or Black Salt (optional)
Spell:
DO NOT THROW ANYTHING AWAY UNTIL INSTRUCTED TO DO SO!
With all of your materials gathered you are going to begin by lighting the candle. Next, take the three pieces of paper and on each individual sheet write: "You are released from me, you can no longer bother or harm me" Once done, take what you have chosen as your representation of negativity and wrap all three sheets of paper around it. After this, begin to tear or cut your little bundle of negativity in half, cut both halves in half again, and take all of those halves and tear or cut them apart as small as you like. Now, begin to scoop the pile of destroyed negativity into a trash bin, as you do so chant: "You are banished from me, leave me be" three times. This is followed by pouring your choice of salt into the trash can and going back to the candle. Before blowing the candle out say, "I have set myself free of this negativity, it is destroyed and banished from me. By the power of three, so I mote it so shall it be."
Non-Spell/Exercise:
Now that all the materials are gathered together, begin writing "This negativity can no longer bother me" on all three sheets of paper. Once you complete that, begin to wrap the paper around what you have chosen to represent the negativity within or surrounding you. Now that we have bound or caged up the negativity, you're going to destroy or dismantle it so that it can no longer bother you. So, that being said, begin to tear or cut apart the lovely negativity bundle you've created. Through out this process, imagine that you are physically ridding yourself of your thoughts, emotions, and/or pent up negativity. As you begin to throw away your bottled emotions say out loud: "These feelings cannot bother me, I have let them go, and so I will move forward with a clear mind."
