What does it feel like to be human?

I feel as though I am constantly playing a game of catch-up on the playground, children laughing and playing and pushing each other down like soldiers in a war.

Into the mud they go! Yet, I feel as though I will never truly understand that feeling nor experience that borderline animalistic urge to claw at the bars of the cage but rather lay amongst the corpses of the fallen to feel connection.

Even they are not human...

I think some madness has no method,

I fear that this is my issue...

Unfortunately, as a result of growing up without an adequate parental figure I have developed this beast-like tendency to horde all things good and never let them go.

Even after they shatter in my hands as a result and become drenched in my own blood... I still hold them near and ever so dear to my heart.

I believe this is called... Desperation.

Once as a little kid I asked my father "Why do you have on so many rings?"

He replied; "Just in case I have to defend against bad guys."

Little did I know, my mom, sister and I were the bad guys...
